I keep thinking about the possibilities of Yoda-Kantam-Lula....-....Mana-Ky-Asajj Jedi Lineage (I am correct) but mainly what my sister pointed out about it after I brought the idea up; Asajj's absolute terror and devastation when she finds out Yoda is her grand-grand-grand-grand-grand-grand-grand Master:

LOOK AT THIS VASE I MADE IN MY CERAMCS CLASS IT WAS REALLY HARD AND THERE WERE SO MANY RISKS BUT I DID IT AND NOTHING WENT WRONG ITS A MIRACLE (also i know NOW it looks like ferrofluid, but it was actually not the intention from the start LOL) If you're curious as to the inspo + process, it was inspired by this minoan jug on the left! It was made in two parts, and was originally supposed to be sleeker, longer, and smaller spikes but uhh look I'm not very good at ceramics LOL. So the size of the spikes and the more round shape.. already not on purpose, a byproduct of my lack of skill.

There was a lot of waffling on what colors I wanted to do, I had floated Squeakoid colors (white base, colorful spikes), all black, tenmoku (black but breaks brown), as well as half and half.

I decided on black in the end because DARK GOTH VIBES and my teacher felt the shape was so much already that simple black would highlight the silhouette and not be too busy. And that's how in the end it turned into a ferrofluid vase by accident LMFAO

izuku wanted to cook breakfast for them and he thought pancakes would be easier enough to handle but poor izuku who was so anxious (bcs he hasn’t cooked in awhile) burnt the whole pan… so katsuki just cooks breakfast for them instead and from then on, bans izuku from cooking without his supervision pfft and izuku doesn’t mind it bcs he gets to hug kacchan from behind ^_^

having a thought about eiffel where, like, despite being desperately alone and seemingly in charge of himself for most of it, his whole life just seems to have been guided by a series of choices-that-are-not-choices in any real sense of the word. be stuck where you are or join the air force out of high school. rot in prison or go to space and help your daughter. allow everyone and everything you love be destroyed by the very people you worked for or sacrifice your memories of everything you’re trying to save. even in plot, things are often just…..happening to him! pushed from one thing to another, no real agency. i think this is why i like the open choice he’s given at the end*: if his emotional ties are gone, if he really wanted, he could be someone else. live a different life. no pain. few regrets. but the hard thing to do is to go and be douglas f. eiffel. and is hard: his life was, well. an awful mess. it’s significant that he doesn’t have to do that, per se, but that it’s an active choice for him to make, should he choose it.

*it’s also interesting to note that on a meta level, that agency is also passed to us, as the audience, at the end. we’ve been through this whole journey with eiffel, and now he’s released from the grip of the narrative, so are we - we’re free to make our choices about what happens now. which ties it all in nicely, i think

curious; do you plan to make any disabled ocs of yours?

I actually do have quite a few disabled ocs. As someone with disabilities myself, I like to reflect that in my own characters, however I lean towards more 'actions speak louder than words' and I want to convey these facts naturally with the content I post rather than slapping a blaring label on them to not make their disability their defining character trait / what the character is known for, as disabled folks are more than that.

I will say though that most of the disabilites I give my ocs are more along the lines of sensory / mental health / learning / other non-clearly physical (hormonal/endocrine), as those coencide with my own and I've naturally made characters with similar qualities, and while I have a few characters with visible disabilities / accomodations, this does bring to light that having more across the spectrum would be nice!

These characters will come about naturally, however, as a character is best made, represented, and loved that way and not by pressure from outside forces 👍

i was starting to kind of slow down on progress for DYWTK and i was feeling kinda sad about it because i couldn’t figure out why i wasn’t able to speed-write entire 6k word chapters in one sitting like i usually do and then i realized i once again haven’t been taking my mood stabilizers properly 😬 two days into taking them at the right dose and i’m slamming out entire fucking chapters again. so the moral of this story:

Also! Coloring this was a last-minute impulse decision, which thankfully paid off! I was sooooo scared though ESP of not making time after. ALL OF THIS TIME. So I took pics beforehand too!

With... kind of inconsistent lighting LMFAO 🧍 I feel like this version has a nice effect too, but! It was important to me to show Moe in full-color, here. Similar, but in opposite directions...
