Fluff with Cassidy x neutral/masc leaning reader having a (college) study session? Been stressing over my master's program and could use some wholesome reading!
a/n: hello anon, thank you for being the first one to request! I hope you liked this short, sort of chill oneshot, let me know!
Studying With Cassidy (not really because Cassidy distracts you)
A small yawn escaped your lips, your fingertips ghosted onto the pages of the textbook you had been revising off of. Your eyes lazily skimming through the blocks of texts that laid in front of you.
You were too tired to process any of it—too exhausted.
There was no way you would survive this year of college. Exams were right around the corner, and you felt that no matter how hard you studied, you would never get it.
You couldn't help but feel helpless.
It wasn't a very encouraging train of thought, you knew that all too well.
You had been following a rigorous studying regimen, attempting to get in front of whatever you could—some days you felt it was all in vain.
You caught glimpse of the time in your peripheral view; 8:56pm.
The library's gonna close soon...Might as well continue at my dorm... you thought to yourself.
Letting out a disheartened sigh, you stuffed your textbook into your bag, slinging it over your shoulder haphazardly.
And with that, you departed, and went off to your dorm.
———
Once you stepped foot into your dorm, your grip loosened on your bag, allowing it to fall to the ground with a thump—quickly reaching in to grab your textbook so you could get back to studying.
"Hey darlin'." A voice you knew all too well suddenly erupted from behind you.
Cole!
You relaxed at the sound of his voice, a smile graced your features. "Hey." you awkwardly replied.
"Did I scare ya?"
You snorted, "Nah. I'm just surprised you're lurking in my dorm around this time." You offered him a fond smirk. This was a common occurrence for the two of you, Cassidy normally liked to spend time in your dorm when he wasn't busy doing whatever he does.
A brief moment of silence passed, Cassidy laid down on your couch, taking off his hat and placing it on the couch— making himself comfortable.
"What're ya up to? I haven't seen ya all day today."
"Well…Exams are coming up, and I'm trying to stick to my studying schedule." You explained, you found yourself feeling guilty for not spending as much time with Cassidy as you wanted to. "It's been stressful, and I don't know if I even have the energy to keep reading this stupid textbook." Holding up the textbook, you emphasized your frustration.
With a sympathetic smile on his face, Cassidy chuckled. "Lemme help ya, then." He stretched his hands out, inviting you to cuddle.
The urge to touch him tingled in your fingertips as your face heated up. Walking towards him, you placed the book on the couch's armrest and laid down next to him, feeling his arms snake around your waist, pulling you closer.
You couldn't help but feel all fuzzy and gushy inside, this was exactly what you needed.
His calloused hands gently caressed your cheeks before moving down to squeeze your shoulders. "Arent'cha the cutest thing? Yer’ all flustered." With a coy smirk, he teased you.
It took some courage for you to clear your throat, trying to overcome the shyness you felt around him. "Cole, are we studying or not?" You mused lightheartedly.
As he grabbed your textbook, you both began reading through its contents. As Cassidy asked you questions about your coursework, cracking jokes periodically, observing your deep concentration and listening to you read, he couldn't help but chuckle silently.
He only thought of one word: Adorable.
Soon enough, Cassidy began reading outloud.
Something about Cassidy's voice always soothed you, his honeyed and suave voice was enough to make anybody fall head over heels with him.
You nuzzled yourself deeper into his chest, arms draping around his large frame. You found yourself completely blocking out the information, and instead you were being lulled to sleep.
And soon enough, you were fast asleep.
“Whatdya think this means?” Cassidy furrowed his eyebrows in contemplation at the information in your textbook. While Cassidy did not comprehend much of the topic you discussed, he was impressed with your ability to answer all his questions.
Suddenly, there was silence.
“Darlin’?” he whispered gently to you.
His gaze fell on your sleeping, serene face, and he paused to stare at your unconscious form with amusement and surprise.
Did his voice relax you to the point that you fell asleep in his arms? Or did you fall asleep simply because you were bored?
He’d oughta ask you when you wake up, but for now…
Keeping his arm around your waist, he continued gently stroking your head while holding you. Taking a deep breath, he shut his eyes, surrendering to the influence of fatigue and soon falling asleep.
It might have been easier for him to wake you up, but you looked so peaceful and cozy all curled up.
After all, you two could always study another time.
This was one of those moments that he wished would last forever. You and him, relaxed, and with no worries.

Sorry loves - got sidetracked last night! Was feeling very tired and headachey, then ended up on Fortnite with Luke for a couple of hours and by then I was just ready to zzzz. Very annoying since when I'm supposed to be in bed, I feel wide awake! But when I have the freedom the weekend brings, I end up feeling completely zonked out lmao!
That being said, I have no plans today! So I'm gonna attempt to write some more. Headache is still lingering though so I'll be slow (am I ever not? lol). I will try and reply to messages a bit later too! For now, I'm just going to hide in my drafts :) Much love! x

Hey I know you probably have like a billion requests already but maybe you could do something where the reader is good friends with corpse (maybe with some unspoken feelings) and they ask him to visit their country side home lmao-
I'm really embarrassed about asking this and I know it sounds strange but being out in the country side can be really good for mental health and I just want this boi to heal--
I'm so sorry hahah
Thanks
That’s not strange at all, darling!! I love this ask! I’m so sorry it took me so long to answer this, my mental health hasn’t been very good lately. I suppose I found this ask rather appropriate and I guess that’s why I liked writing it so much. Hope you enjoy!
Sunrise, Sunset - Oneshot
Pairings: Corpse Husband / Reader.
“Yo,” is the first thing you hear as you open your Discord. It’s not his regular greeting, and he sounds more tired than usual.
“What’s up?” you asked curiously. “Everything okay? Haven’t talked to you in a while.”
“I know, I’m sorry. I got really busy.”
“I can tell from your voice,” you chuckled. It had more of a rasp to it- if that was even possible.
“Yea, I can’t do too much for too long. I love that I’m able to work on music now, but it exhausts my voice so much that I can’t even stream sometimes.”
“Maybe you should take a break,” you comment.
“Probably. It’s almost done, so then I can stream more,” he replies.
“That’s not what I meant.”
“Hm?”
“I’m talking about an actual break, from everything.”
You hear him exhale deeply as if he’d already been considering it himself. “That does sound very nice.”
“I know, I always have the best ideas.”
“You do, except you forgot about the fact that I can’t really go anywhere. I mean, I’d love to take a break, but if I just sit here at home, I’m gonna either end up doing nothing or start working anyways. I don’t see me relaxing that way.”
“I didn’t forget about anything; I just hadn’t gotten to that part yet.”
“Oh?”
You’d be lying if you said that noise didn’t make you blush. “Remember how I said I live in the countryside? You know, it’s quite cosy here, and I have a guest bedroom to spare. If you want, but only if you’re comfortable with it, you could come over.”
It was quiet for a moment and your poor nerves were wondering if you’d said something completely wrong. You knew how he was about his privacy, but you’d figured that having known each other for a more than a few months now, you’d be at a point where you’d become actual friends, especially considering you always talked over Discord. At least, when he wasn’t busy.
“I... You wouldn’t mind?” he asked softly.
“Of course not!” You immediately replied, trying your best to make him feel as welcome as possible. “It’ll be so much fun! I was just worried you wouldn’t feel comfortable with it, otherwise, I would’ve invited you over a lot sooner.”
“Really?” he asked.
“Yes! I’m always looking for people to take care of my chickens.”
“You have chickens?” he sputtered.
“Sure do. And that was a joke, by the way.”
He didn’t really give you much time to prepare. He’d instantly asked if he could come over in two days, which meant you had to clean, do the groceries, and have another mental breakdown within that short time.
When he did arrive at your relatively small but homely cottage, you knew that even if you’d had more time, you still wouldn’t have felt like you’d prepared enough. You were incredibly nervous, especially as the cab slowed to a nerve-wracking speed until it finally stopped in front of your little wooden fence that really couldn’t keep anyone out of your garden because it was so ramshackle.
You nod your head to the driver politely, who got out of the car to unload a bag from the trunk. Then, the door opened, ringed fingers sliding across the yellow polish on the metal framing. He pulled himself up and out, finally allowing you to take a good look at his face.
His hair was dark and curly, as to be expected from what you’d seen in the pictures, though you could barely see it underneath the hood he’d pulled up. His dark brown eyes immediately found yours, and a shy smile graced his lips, which you bashfully returned with a small wave. It made you want to hit yourself multiple times. He paid the cabby and thanked him, allowing you to take a good look at his attire, at his frame, at his whole being. He was wearing a black hoodie with some chains around it, along with dark baggy trousers and, go figure, black sneakers. He was slightly slouching, probably so the driver wouldn’t be able to make out his face in its entirety, but overall he looked lean, even while his face was more pale and tired, with dark circles surrounding his eyes.
He locked the creaky wooden fence behind him, quickly closing the distance between you two with only a few strides. He dropped his backpack on the floor, saying, “hi.” “Hey,” you replied with that stupid smile still on your face and now quite possibly a hint of red dusting your cheeks. He just chuckled at the slight awkwardness of the situation, before wrapping his arms around you in a warm hug. He smelled like nice cologne, and he gave really good hugs. It said a lot that you could tell that from just the one. “Thanks for letting me come over,” he muttered, finally allowing himself to sound as exhausted as he looked.
“I told you, it’s nothing.”
When you met his eyes again as he pulled back, you knew he was quietly telling you that it meant more to him than that. Feeling shy under his dark gaze, you shook your head, saying, “Come on, let me show you around.”
It wasn’t that big of a tour, but it was home and it was comfortable, so you never felt embarrassed about it. You made enough money, to be fair, from your career through YouTube, but you’d never really had the heart to leave the house. At least you had a guest bedroom, and the garden was something to dream of. To trade that in for a bit more storage space would be such a pity.
“-and this is going to be your room, for however long you wish to stay,” you finish with a flourish of your hand. He set his suitcase down on the freshly made bed and nodded, glancing around for a bit before his eyes landed back on you. “Did I tell you how much I appreciate you doing this for me?”
You huff, “Once or twice now.”
“I’ll be off your back in a few days, don’t worry. I think I just needed to get out of my stuffy apartment for a bit.”
“Stay as long as you’d like,” you told him assuredly, “I know how stressful it can be and I haven’t even been through what you have. I can’t imagine what it must be like.”
He shrugs, “I have my ups and downs. It’s mostly my health issues and anxiety holding me back.”
“Well, I hope you can relax a bit here, then. People seem to feel more at ease without a bustling city around them,” you said.
He glanced out the window and nodded. “Yeah, I immediately noticed it as I got out of the car. It’s so... quiet here. And the air, of course. It’s so much nicer.”
“I usually take walks in the early mornings. You should come along sometime if you’d like. The sunrise is always really pretty when you get up on the hill.”
The corners of his lips quirked up. “I’d like that.”
“Great,” you replied, clapping your hands together, “I’ll let you get settled and start dinner. The uh- the bathroom is shared, I left a stack of towels on the rack so you can use those.”
“Thanks, I really appreciate it.”
You nodded shyly, silently closing the door behind you as you stepped into the hall. You let out a deep sigh and leaned back against the wall, pressing the backs of your hands against your cheek in a vain attempt to cool down the heat and tone down the redness. You couldn’t remember the last time you’d reacted this way but the times you’d spend talking about everything and nothing with Corpse through Discord calls that lasted until the early mornings. You knew you shouldn’t be feeling this way. You didn’t want to risk the friendship you had with him, but the tingling that had sprouted in your gut the moment he’d gotten out of that car told you that this was going to be hard.
You knocked on his door quietly, afraid you were accidentally going to wake him when he didn’t want to be awoken. You didn’t know what kind of morning person he’d be, but he told you yesterday that he wanted to join you for your walk today. And while you were going to leave half an hour later than usual because it took you that long to work up the courage to knock on his door, meaning you were going to have to hurry a bit to catch the sun rising, you were still scared he was going to react grouchily. But when he opened the door, already dressed and ready to go, you realized you’d foolishly forgotten that this wasn’t just anyone, but that this was one of your friends; someone you already knew, even if it hadn’t been physically. Of course, he’d open the door with a smile, even though he looked more tired than the day before, which worried you.
“How did you sleep?” You made it evident in your tone that you were rather scared to ask the question, but it made him chuckle.
“I think you already know the answer to that. I don’t sleep well in general, so don’t worry. It has nothing to do with the bed or your hospitality.”
“Well, if there’s anything I can do for you, I don’t mind being woken up.”
He shook his head as he followed you downstairs and out the front door. “To be fair, I slept more than I usually would, but your rooster woke me up.”
You laughed, “Yea, I’m sorry, but I can’t do anything about that.” You held the wooden fence gate open for him, following him to the grass field until you were walking next to him. You silently picked up your pace a bit, worrying that you might miss the sunrise when you had promised it to him.
“I know, I know,” he replied amusedly, “Can we go see them later? The chickens?”
“Sure,” you smiled, “I also have a few ducks. You’ll love them, they’ll try to rip the shoelaces from your feet.”
“Sounds great.”
The walk to the hill wasn’t too far, but the hill was quite steep, which was always an exercise for people who walked with you for the first time, so you’d figured he’d start trailing behind you after some time. Thing is, he started trailing behind relatively earlier than you had expected him to.
Glancing back over your shoulder, you called out, “you good? We’re almost there.”
He nodded, though you could see him slightly panting, and you turned around to jog up the last bit until you reached the top. You could see a sliver of light start to peek over the horizon, making you glance back to see how far away he was.
But instead of having moved forward, he was now sort of slouched over, holding his stomach as he panted loudly. “Shit,” you cursed yourself as you sprinted back down until you skidded to a stop in front of him. “Are you okay? I’m so sorry, I should have slowed down-“
“It’s fine,” he waved you off, slowly catching his breath. “I can do it, I just take a bit longer.”
“I’ll carry you if I have to. I got us into this mess.”
He chuckled, but it sounded a bit hoarse.
“Come on,” you said. He furrowed his brow in confusion but followed you anyway. Walking along the side of the hill was tricky, but you made it around without any issues. He was able to keep up this time and gratefully plopped down on the grass beside you, just in time to watch the sun fully appear from behind the horizon.
“Holy shit,” he breathed.
“Yea, it never really gets old.” You laid down, feeling twigs of grass tickle the bareback of your neck.
He joined you, scooting a bit closer until your arms were brushing against each other. You couldn’t tell if he’d done it on purpose, so you acted like it hadn’t affected you, keeping your eyes fixed on the sky above you. At least, you tried. They flickered when you felt fingertips graze across your lower arm until they reached your palm, where his nails slowly dragged along your skin until his warm digits intertwined with yours. His rings felt cool against the heat and tingling you were suddenly feeling in your hand. He didn’t let go of you, not as you laid there for what seemed like hours, nor during the entire walk back.
‘Is this what friends do?’ you were silently asking yourself, watching the ducks try to free his shoes from its laces, ‘is this what friends do when they need support? Is this his way of coping, or is it-‘ You quickly shook the thought away. Of course, he wouldn’t think of you that way. He probably did stuff like this with all his friends. You knew how playful he could get, his guy friends included.
Yeah, it was just that. It had to be.
You were both laid back on the couch that night, stuffed to the brink with the famous lasagne you’d put together. The TV was on, but it sounded more like static noise in the background. “I think I can just fall asleep right here,” you hummed. The glass of red wine you’d shared – because neither of you could handle liquor – had created a pleasant buzz between the two of you.
“That seems a lot less comfortable than your bed.”
“You don’t know a thing about my bed,” you huffed indignantly.
It was quiet for a moment then, a sliver of tension seeping through the warmth of your home. “I think it’s probably about as comfortable as mine, otherwise you’re treating your guests too much,” he replied.
“I don’t know,” you admitted, “I’ve actually never slept in the guest bedroom. I might just be treating my guests too much and I’d never even know about it.”
He suddenly sat up and turned the TV off. “Come on,” he said and was already up the stairs by the time you’d made an attempt to move.
When finally reached the upstairs and were about to round the corner, you were suddenly picked up and slung over his shoulder, causing you to let out a loud shriek. “Corpse!” you laughed, “Please put me down!”
“You were taking too long,” he grumbled, dropping you down on the bed unceremoniously. He shuffled over until he was laying down next to you and lifted the covers up until it reached your neck.
“So?” he asked.
You had your eyes closed. “I might be treating my guests too much.”
He snorted. “Fucking knew it,” which made you laugh.
You laid there for quite a while, not really caring if either of you fell asleep with your regular clothes still on. “Hey Corpse?”
He hummed.
“I’m really glad you came. It gets lonely over here sometimes.”
He shifted, but because it was so dark you couldn’t really see what he was doing. Suddenly though, you felt him hovering over you, his elbows resting on either side of your face as his hand reached across to move a strand of hair to the side. He leaned down and hesitantly, his lips barely touched yours, a silent question if this was okay. You moved back against him, your hand finding his cheek in the darkness. His kisses were gentle, but passionate, which made your breaths heavier and deeper. When you pulled apart, you were both breathing heavily, mostly from the tension that had arisen.
“I really like you,” you admitted.
“Good,” he replied, wrapping his arms around you until you were tucked against his chest. You hit his arm playfully, “Cocky bastard.”
You hear the smirk in his voice as he said goodnight.

November 2014 ー 07:34
Ryuunosuke woke up with a grunt when he felt something, or rather someone, shaking him fairly strongly for the past few seconds.
He then shielded his eyes with his right arm when lights suddenly flashed before him. Whoever woke him up probably opened the curtain too. Ugh.
"Nii-chan, everyone already had breakfast," he barely heard one of his sisters telling him. Based on how he was addressed, it was likely Kohaku. "And you woke up very late."
"!"
With that last remark, Ryuunosuke quickly sat up and bent down, rubbing his eyes with both of his hands in an attempt to wake himself up even more. He brushed his hair away from his face and then looked ahead, only to meet Kohaku's brown eyes staring down at him, clearly waiting for him.
After some blinking and a final squint, Ryuunosuke soon noticed his younger sister's hair being loose, very unlike how she usually wears it. "You want me to do your hair?" He gently asked.
Kohaku raised an eyebrow at him, clearly not expecting that to be the first thing he would say. "Get dressed up first, nii-chan. You're gonna be late," she sighed before walking towards his door.
It was after Kohaku closed the door shut that Ryuunosuke belatedly realized that it was a school day today. So he went to reach out for his phone that was on the shelf above his bed, which had been awfully silent throughout his whole slumber.
And felt like slapping himself when he found out it was because he forgot to unmute his phone last night, again.
At this point, he really should just stop muting his phone altogether.
Ryuunosuke's eyes widened when he finally looked at the time. He quickly went towards his desk, plugged the charger in his phone, and then hurried towards the bathroom to get ready.
Less than 30 minutes later when Ryuunosuke arrived at the kitchen, only Kohaku was present at the dining table. He heard the running water after, assuming that it was their mom washing the dishes.
"Papa had to leave early for work and nee-chan and Yuko-chan already left for school. Mama only has to work this afternoon and our class' first period is cancelled today," Kohaku briefly explained to him when he sat down in front of her. She was half-way done with her meal and considering it had been over 30 minutes since she went down the stairs, Ryuunosuke assumed that she slowed down her eating to wait for him.
The thought made him a little happy if he had to be honest.
"That's good to hear," he replied softly, taking in the meal before him. Their mom knew him too well that she had just prepared him a light breakfast today as he had barely have enough time to eat. When he picked up the chopsticks, Ryuunosuke glanced at his sister once more with a small smirk. "You seemed to be waiting for me huh, Kohaku?"
Kohaku shrugged in response, matching his grin almost uncannily. "You know the drill, nii-chan."
"Of course, of course," and with that, they both proceeded to eat their breakfast or in Kohaku's case, finish hers.
After a few minutes of silence between them as they ate, Kohaku decided to speak up again.
"Kinda weird seeing you in your uniform with your hair like that, nii-chan," she casually pointed out. "Are you planning to fix it later or..?"
Ryuunosuke chewed his food in silence, contemplating her question. His hair was still lightly damped from the quick shower he had earlier, but unlike the usual fashion where he flattens down his fringes over his eyes, today he was currently wearing it loose and even had it slightly parted in the middle.
"Takes too much time," he firstly answered after a swallow then quickly drank from his glass of water. "I think I'm just gonna keep it like this."
Kohaku's eyes widened in surprise, clearly wasn't expecting his answer. "That's... new," she commented.
Ryuunosuke shrugged in response, picking up a slice of scrambled egg. "I just thought that I should start... getting used to wearing it like this," he paused midway from eating just to add that. "Well, outside..."
Kohaku hummed at his words, her eyes not leaving him since his first answer. There was only one bite left in her meal anyways, so she can waste some few minutes. "I think that's a great idea, nii-chan," she suddenly grinned cheekily. "I can finally brag to my friends that I have a handsome brother with proof~"
Ryuunosuke nearly choked in laughter at the remark, hurriedly saving himself by drinking water. "Hey now..."
Kohaku's grin widened even more.
Ryuunosuke was occupied with tightly braiding Kohaku's hair into twin dutch braids when his mom approached them, seemingly done with washing the dishes.
"Ohh that looks very clean," he heard her praise which brought a small smile to his face. Although his eyes are fixated towards his work before him, Ryuunosuke felt their mom sitting on the couch next to him.
Feeling that their mom will just quietly watch until he's done, Ryuunosuke proceeded to diligently work on the second, lightly combing out the knotted strands with his fingers and carefully making the twists. Braiding Kohaku's hair into tight dutch braids had always been a daily routine for Ryuunosuke, as his sister usually requests for them, that doing so became such a light work that it only took him around two minutes to finish a neat dutch braid.
Another two minutes it is then.
Ryuunosuke was already half way through the braid when he felt his mom shift in her seat. If she was trying to find the moment to talk to him, he felt that he knew what it was about.
"You woke up late today," she started, more of a statement rather than a question. "That's rare."
Ryuunosuke bit down the urge to nervously laugh in response and just hummed lowly. "I forgot to unmute my phone."
As his eyes were still on the braid he's working on, Ryuunosuke couldn't see his mother's expression but since she hasn't given any signs of response yet, he suddenly felt the pressure to explain himself further. "Our class' group chat was really active last night and I couldn't focus on doing my homework... so I muted my phone."
"I think you should stop doing that," Ryuunosuke bit down another nervous laugh when his mom told him that so straightforwardly. "I mean, it's good that you wanted to focus on your studies and such. But it's concerning to have Miki-chan dial our house number plenty of times only because she couldn't reach your phone," she added, followed by a mildly tired sigh. "And every call makes me nervous because I thought it would be from your or your sisters' schools."
"Ahh I'm sorry about that..."
"Don't be," his mom reassured softly, watching him finish braiding the rest of Kohaku's hair with ease. "I'm driving Kohaku to her school, by the way. So you don't have to walk with her."
Ryuunosuke nodded in response, proceeding to carefully tie the remaining braid. "Your classes start at 10 today, Kohaku?"
"More like 10:30," his sister replied, standing when he finally gave the signal that he was done. Kohaku then ran her palms on her head to feel the tight braid and smiled in satisfaction, already happy with the result despite not actually seeing it yet. "Feels nice."
"Really?" Ryuunosuke stood up from the couch, lightly patting away the slight wrinkles on his blazer. "Not too tight?"
Kohaku carefully pressed some of her fingers onto her hairline to check, then shook her head. "Nope, not at all. Doesn't even hurt a bit, thanks nii-chan."
"Good," Ryuunosuke softly returned the smile before walking towards the end of the couch to fetch his school bag. He then went to the kitchen to fetch his lunch, which was already nicely packed by his mom.
After carefully stashing it inside his bag, Ryuunosuke then proceeded towards the shoe rack near the doorway, where his school loafers are. He barely had less than an hour left, so he better start hurrying up if he doesn't want to be late. Especially since his house is fairly a distance away from school.
"You're going to school with your hair like that, Ryuunosuke?"
He turned back to the living room to see his mother curiously looking at him with her fairly sharp russet eyes wide in surprise.
"My hair..?" Ryuunosuke quirked an eyebrow before turning to the framed picture by the wall next to him, trying to get a proper view of his own reflection through the glass. "Oh." He saw how the slight parting was a little messy and so combed his fingers through his hair in an attempt to fix it.
Satisfied, he then went to pick up his loafers from the show rack and quickly wore them. He then saw his mom slowly walking towards him. "So you're really going to wear it like that today?"
Ryuunosuke nodded in response, giving her a soft and reassuring smile. "I can comfortably run to the station like this then, especially since most of my schoolmates should be in school by now, so I wouldn't be seen anyways."
"But what about your classmates?"
Ryuunosuke then shifted his weight onto his other leg, scratching the back of his head rather awkwardly as sharp maroon eyes darted away from the ones before him. "They know, actually..." He confessed.
Fairly sharp russet eyes widened in surprise once more at the revelation. "Since when?"
"Since summer, at the same time they also found out about the band," He truthfully answered, although he still couldn't bring himself to make eye contact with his mother. "And I forgot to tell you about it... I'm sorry."
His mother just let out a mildly tired sigh in response. "I shouldn't be surprised considering you once randomly told me one day that you actually had a girlfriend..."
Ryuunosuke let out a sheepish laugh at that, feeling his cheek heat up in embarrassment at the blatant call out.
"Speaking of, tell her I said hi when you see her at school, okay?" Ryuunosuke then felt the sudden urge to roll his eyes at the cheeky smile that was gracing his mother's face as she said that. "Well, I can't keep you here for too long. Just take care."
Ryuunosuke gave her a final nod before walking outside through the entrance door.
"I'm off."
It was difficult.
In the end, Ryuunosuke wasn't able to bring himself to tell his mother what he opened up to Kohaku.
Which really left him on a more bitter note as this was something that his mother was affected by the most after himself.
Ryuunosuke sighed once again as he walked away from the station. It's not like his mother would be mad or anything if he had told her the truth. In fact, it would actually be the opposite. She would actually be delighted and relieved at knowing about the mild changes Ryuunosuke had slowly but surely been making over the months.
But there was an improvement, right? He did manage to finally tell her that he had shown his face to his classmates... even if it did take him nearly 4 months to do so.
All he really needed to do was to tell her that he wanted to do this, that it was purely his own choice. Even if he still had yet to get used to it. He just had to stop beating around the bush and only telling half-truths whenever he tried to be honest with her.
Because the last thing he'd want to happen was to take him until he's in high school before he could finally spill.
Ryuunosuke slowed down his steps when he was nearing the waiting bus across the street.
Well, that's just one problem he had yet to overcome. Another one was something he still had yet to find a way out of, as irritating as that actually sounded to him.
He took a peek inside the vehicle and sighed in relief when he didn't see a single Kunugigaoka student present.
It's either during the school festival or after their final exams that he could make his decision for that other problem he's having.
He entered the nearly deserted bus and took a seat at the very back by one of the windows. He then took his earbuds out from his pocket, thinking that it would take a bit before the bus started moving so he might as well listen to some music as he waited. Feeling a little less exposed now with just the very few people inside the vehicle, Ryuunosuke felt comfortable enough to completely brush his hair away from his face.
He had to be honest, with the way he had been wearing his hair up more often these days than he used to, his bangs are starting to annoy him at this point.
Shouldn't it be a good thing then? Well, partially it is very much a good thing. A great thing even, actually. Ryuunosuke himself is happy at the fact that he was hardly scared to show himself anymore after being countlessly reassured that there wouldn't be a repeat of what happened to him when he was seven.
He was actually happy at the fact that he can finally ditch this hairstyle whenever he's ready... especially since one of his classmates gave him such a mortifying codename from it.
Oh god he fucking hated that codename.
Whoever wrote that chosen suggestion better brace themselves the moment he finds out who they are.
Anyways, as much as Ryuunosuke could have wanted to permanently change his hairstyle much earlier... he couldn't really.
Especially since he does use his bangs as a makeshift crosshair when aiming to shoot accurately when not using a scope. And with the little time they have left before March, he couldn't just get rid of his bangs anytime soon and waste time relearning to aim and match his admittedly current high level of skill.
So he just had to suck it up until the next 4 months.
Feeling a glare breaking out, which he rather not show because he doesn't want to accidentally scare anyone first thing in the morning, Ryuunosuke closed his eyes and sighed deeply.
High school debut it is then, huh.
All of a sudden, Ryuunosuke felt someone taking the seat next to him and tensed. Last time he had his eyes opened, which was just a few seconds ago, there were hardly any people inside the bus.
So who in the world would willingly sit next to him-?
Ryuunosuke cracked an eye open to peek at the person next to him and found himself about to smile at the sight of familiar voluminous black hair.
His smile widened even more when he noticed a familiar dainty hand slowly hovering over his opened palm placed on his lap.
Letting out a chuckle, Ryuunosuke decided to reach the hovered hand and locked fingers with them. He then leaned his head onto their shoulders and mildly nuzzled into them. "Good morning~" He greeted softly.
"Good morning Ryuu," Kaho greeted back as she tried to relax at his touch.
Ryuunosuke then pulled away, not wanting to be excessive with the public display of affection, although he still had his fingers locked with hers. "Also woke up late today?"
"Yeah... My phone ran out of battery overnight," as she said that, Ryuunosuke took notice of the portable charger on her lap that was connected to her phone with a cord.
So that explains why she hasn't once replied to him when he messaged her earlier his morning.
"You're probably tired from the train ride," he said, relaxing onto his seat once more. "I don't think the bus will move anytime soon, so might as well take a short nap then..."
"You too," Kaho giggled softly. "I saw you running through the station earlier and nearly ran onto one of the pillars."
"No you didn't," Ryuunosuke immediately denied, his face slowly heating up.
Kaho leaned onto his shoulder with a teasing smirk. "Sure I didn't..."
"Just go to sleep."
#did I just write all this based from the meta I wrote about him few days ago?#yes i did#i really need to start getting comfortable with writing again gosh#so this is gonna be a bit rougher than what I used to write 😭#assassination classroom#ansatsu kyoushitsu#chiba ryuunosuke#ryuunosuke chiba#target on#target on moments#my writing

Grand announcement ❗❗❗
Yep you read that right and no this is not a joke, unfortunately.
Honestly is it that much of a surprise?
Um I don't know when I'm actually going to post this or if I will post this considering I've been debating on whether i should actually take time off of not. But depending on the date I post this, its either going to be one of two reasons or both.
LETS GO WITH THE POSITIVE ONE FIRST SHALL WE?
First of all, Happy Ramadan! My maids going back to her old village for the holidays so I'm going to have to assist my parents in babysitting more til she gets back. Therefore I will be too busy to post or update. Or maybe my parents plan an unexpected vacation or something and I'll be too busy to communicate with anyone on my phone.
Edit: I take it back my mom fired her when she caught some cigarette ashes in her room today (my maid went back to her village yesterday btw) and now we gonna get a temporary one that comes and goes everyday at the end of Ramadan LMFAOOO more chores for me then
Also, im posting this to just inform everyone I'll be okay and I'll return somewhere in the end of May or the beginning of June considering I promised a few moots to voice call then. Man, it feels weird speaking all serious like this. It feels even weirder that I'm not even using capslock lmfao.
Okay the other reason. Im not really thrilled to think that it's finally drove me up so far i have to take a break from everything.
If you can't tell from how I've been on and off lately uh like my mental health is getting bad. Like really really bad?
I won't go into much details but for safety stuff here's your trigger warning for ED, SH, Depression, Nightmares, etc. If you don't want to read this part you can scroll down until you see some random red statement I'll write later so you can see what I have to say before i leave.
Uh okay where do I start. To sum it all up basically, my mental health is in absolute ruins? At the moment?? Uh... It's been the worst it has been in the past three to four years? I don't know anymore. I can't sleep properly because I keep having nightmares of past su1c1d3 attempts and the outcome of actually succeeding. I can't eat properly anymore. My SH habits and my anxiety is coming back (every beginning of every month though so it wasn't as bad as way way when this started) and I trying my best to stop it again. I'm almost a month clean but I doubt that I can last more than that again because everything seems to get worse and worse. I cry myself to sleep because of my thoughts being so fucked up. I tried coming forward with this so many times to my parents and my teachers but they won't believe me, i can't do anything anymore except try to get better by myself. I can't bring myself to communicate with anyone anymore knowing full well that the only thing that's keeping me alive at this moment is socializing. I keep having flashbacks of when older men stalked me everywhere I went in the past. I lie awake knowing that nothing can bring me comfort except seeing that one idol who you all probably know by now. Im literally depending on him to keep me together during the day it's not even funny anymore lmfao.
I have to do endless chores, deal with all of this at once, catch up on two semesters worth of materials for my new school, deal with my graduation ceremony which is coming around this month or next month? Somehow I developed some type of anger issues the past year so haha that's great yuh no.
To stop you from worrying, no, I don't have suicidal tendencies anymore but I don't exactly have something to be thrilled living for. I'm just vibin in life at this point lmao
I'm just tired. I'm really really tired. Id lie awake crying my eyes out while listening to renjun voice audios. I'm tired of crying all the time and I'm tired of everything. Im tired of laying in bed overthinking and stressing bout things that wouldnt normally bother as much. I promise I won't do anything stupid
I won't be gone long. I'm not okay at the moment but I will be. Because at the end i need to be okay again. I'm giving myself time to heal again before something gets bad. I promise I'll come back from time to time. I promise I'll be okay again and I'll come back as that happy hyper renjun simp who swears and uses capslock, spamming memes or whatever.
I'm not comfortable opening up about anything that goes beyond too sad in my life so I'm just going to leave it at that
You can stop scrolling now. The triggering part is over.
Thank you for all the moots who decided to cheer me up unknowingly whenever I was having a mental breakdown. Thank you for reading up to here lmfao uh I don't know what to say? God Im a mess.
Dms on both tumblr and discord will be pretty slow. I'm sorry but I'll reply to my asks like a day or two after they're sent. I won't be posting much until June and I'm truly sorry for those who were waiting for the last chapter of idni, im taking this chance to also rethink the ending so I can somehow make it better than I originally planned it literally a year ago.
Damn broken English 101.
As I said before, I'll be okay when I get back. I'll be the happy hyper angie I always was and always will be when I return. I don't know when I'll post this but hopefully I don't haha. You don't have to be worried about me, this happened before and I always come back okay again. I'll be okay, I promise. I'll be back in a month.
Do what yall do and don't forget to tag me whenever you post any renjun fics haha. I'll miss you all, don't forget about me okay? Haha.
I'll be looking forward to writing again and hopefully I'll be mentally and physically healthy then. Hopefully I'll have my motivation in writing back again by then. I'll try my best to commit into getting better and being happy. Plus I wanna start an sm au but rn it doesn't seem very likely haha
I'll be contacting my networks bout this as soon as I post this.
Thank you and see you all later

Coffee Shop Boy
Chapter Two
~
Just as he thought by the time he had finished his shift and set off for school Sorawit managed to completely forget about his encounter with very mysterious That.
~
As he walked into his classroom he instantly locked eyes with his best friend Nam. Despite only being in Viangpa Mork for only 3 months him and Nam seemed to connect instantly, she practically took Sorawit under her wing because he was too gullible for his own good. During his first week of school some boys in their class convinced him that the girls toilet was actually the boys toilet, ever since then she's felt very protective over him. However, this was practically the same for Sorawit after all Nam was pretty, popular and funny a complete package so he felt like if was his job to protect from all the shameless creeps that through themselves at her.
Sorawit pulled out his seat next to Nam and smiled,
"Have you done the maths homework" he cheekily asked putting on his sweetest voice. He plan to do it this morning but all the customers decided to pack in all at once so in the end he didn't have any time to finish it.
"No, I though you would do it! that's why I didn't bother" Nam said pulling a pout while she flopped onto the desk in front of her.
"Ahh, why don't you ask one of the multiple guys who have a crush on you" Sorawit responded, despite how calm they both seemed the end result of not handing in homework was quite harsh. They'd get one or two whole weeks of detention. As they went to a very high ranked and respected school it was only natural that standards were set to such a high level, but regardless they couldn't help but think it was stupid.
"No way, they always end up expecting soo much more in return, i can't handle the entitlement." Nam said dryly her voice dripping with disgust.
Sorawit knew exactly what she meant, whenever she'd show the smallest bit of kindest or even ask for a favour they always seemed to think that they deserved something in return. And that something was her body. In alot of situations although Sorawit couldn't fight he'd end up stepping in and trying to protect her.
"Umm, I guess we'll just have to settle for one week of detention then." Sorawit laughed after all his friend's safety was his top priority.
Just as both Nam and Sorawit were prepared to accept their fate one of the girls in their class came in yelling,
"Miss Jane isn't in."
It was this one line that seemed to save their lives, miss Jane was their maths and foreign language teacher as well as a tutor at the school. She was only strict because wanted the best for them but sometimes she could really be too ruthless.
As they no longer had a teacher for two of their lesson both Nam and Sorawit messed about, joking and talking the entire time.
For Sorawit the rest of the day went by without a hitch.
~
By the end of school Sorawit felt like death, maybe waking up at 3 am wasn't going to work for him. As he almost feel asleep against his bike Nam flicked his head.
"Are you gonna give me a ride home today or not" Nam said impatiently as she hopped onto the back of his bike (Sorawit is too much of a soft boy to be riding round on a motorbike, so he has a bicycle a yellow one at that).
Before Sorawit could respond the most obnoxious sounding voice echoed out.
"Nam!"
Standing at the gate was a couple of boys probably a year older than them. They were all in Sorawit's eyes dressed like gangsters, their pants were unnecessarily low and they all opted for darker colours (yes this is what gangsters look like in Sorawit's mind, maybe mine too). The one that called out to Nam was tall but not that handsome the only thing that stood out about him was the polished black motorcycle next to him.
Sorawit looked at Nam puzzled.
"It's a long story, just ignore them." Nam said urging Sorawit to hurry up.
Sorawit despite being known for not being very quick witted caught on quite fast, this must be one of Nam's countless admirers.
He pulled Nam along on his adorable yellow bike and although others may not not agree with him, Nam in fact said it was too girly. Regardless Sorawit didn't see anything wrong with it. It was just the right amount of cute, the yellow made it stand out and the small daisies dotted about the bike made it even more pefect in Sorawit's eyes.
As they approached the gates they were quickly blocked, just as Sorawit had expected. However, Sorawit knew for a fact they wouldn't try anything as long as they were on school property, but unfortunately he couldn't say the same for when they had left.
"Nam let's hang out today, on me" he said eying her up and down.
"Pong, I remember telling you I was busy when you asked me yesterday." She replied obviously not interested in hanging out with him at all.
"What, busy hanging out with this loser instead." The guy now known as Pong spoke sizing up Sorawit. Eventhough he was tall Sorawit was indeed 100% bone.
"Pong." Nam warned, it was quite clear that she had enough, half because she knew that this would end alot worse for Sorawit than for her. And the other half was tired of guys constantly thinking she was interested in them.
"Nam, what does he have that I dont." Pong paused briefly looking at Sorawit before bring his eyes back to Nam.
"Now don't be stupid."
It was that line that made Sorawit snap.
"Her not wanting to hang out with you isn't being stupid." He said standing tall trying to make himself appear as tough as possible.
"What?" Pong replied before laughing along with the rest of his friends, they all looked completely amused.
Nam quickly sensed things were going to take a turn for the worst if things continued going the way that they were.
"Pong I'm seriously busy today I have a bunch of work to catch up on, I have alot more time on the weekend let's hang out then" she spoke alot softer.
"Huh, fine." Pond said a lot calmer now maybe because Nam was being a lot more docile or because a teacher was approaching.
~
The whole situation was over rather quickly after that, Pong and his group of friends had left before the teacher arrived and Nam had explained to that said teacher that the whole thing was a misunderstanding.
Sorawit was now sitting in the Pink Lilly attempting to complete his homework as the staff around him began to prepare for the evening shift. He was thinking about the conversation that he had with Nam while he was taking her home.
She said playing along was always the safer options especially with guys like that.
It made him worry to the point he had to convince her not to go and see him on the weekend.
"What's wrong you're pulling a pout." Ploy said squeezing his cheeks with a soft smile.
Ploy was a University student in her 20s that worked at the Pink Lily part time, she was kind and energetic but she was always in other peoples business.
"Umm I'm fine" Sorawit mumbled out before resuming his homework that he had been neglecting for the past half hour.
Before Ploy could prod for more information, Bun had stormed and was clearly in a mood. A way worse one than usual.
"Who does he think he is?" Fuming Bun slammed his hand down on the front counter.
"Why do handsome men think its okay to be so arrogant" Bun continued to rant furiously.
"P'Bun????" Sorawit called utterly confused, who could have made him so angry.
"Bun, what's wrong?" Ploy also questioned after all seeing her boss this angry was rare.
"Huh, what's wrong. You won't believe what happened today!" Bun responded quickly pulling out a seat. Finally seeming to calm down he recited what took place earlier today.
Bun had gone into work for his regular morning shift at 3am hence why he wasn't there to help ease Sorawit into his first shift. But the real trouble began after his long lunch break around 4ish when a young man was rushed in with a bullet wound, Bun was assigned to treat him. So naturally once he heard the man was accompanied by two other men he had quickly gone to question them after all bullet wounds weren't very common in Viangpa Mork. When he had confronted them he was ridiculed and mocked (more so softly teased, but okay Bun. I'll have to make a special chapter about their first meeting after all this is a That x Sorawit centered story) by a tall well dressed handsome man which only pissed him off more. He'd come to know that the arrogantly handsome man was Tan.
In his 3 months in Viangpa Mork he had only heard from other residents that Tan was one of the many sons of a very affluent family that owned multiple business in the city, and he had been doing a lot of work out here recently.
But the icing on the cake for Bun was that everyone loved him, not the police nor a single soul had come to question them or see what was going on. The whole situation was perfectly swept under the rug.
Bun had finished his story with a huff, just retelling it had seemed to annoy him.
"Wow, i mean it is expected after all rumour is that their family does dabble in..." Ploy trailed off unsure if she should finish her sentence. Tan and his family were doing way more for Viangpa Mork than the governor, in the past couple years their investments had gotten them things they never thought they'd see. Like new school buildings and more focus placed on education. They had even gotten Ploy into university through their Helping the Youth fund before that she never thought she would even have the opportunity to go.
"In what?" Sorawit asked, he hadn't been able to catch onto what she was implying like Bun had.
"Never you mind, my shift starts now so I'll see you later" Ploy wore a light smile before returning to work.
Bun had assumed it would have been something like that but he really thought Viangpa Mork was a quite and unproblematic town.
"Ah, Sorawit how was your shift this morning" Bun asked realising that he had been to caught up in himself to ask.
"It was fine but," it was at this moment that Sorawit had remembered his encounter with That.
"But what?" Bun said urging him to continue.
So, for the remainder of the evening shift until the start of the late evening shift Sorawit proceed to tell Bun about the oh so mysterious That. Although he sub consciously left out his heart pains and stomach twists that he felt around the boy, the rest of the story was relayed exactly as it happened.
After he had finished Bun had agreed the boy was strange and that in future he should try to keep his distance.
~
Sorawit had quickly retired for the night after he had finished talking to Bun feeling completely exhausted.
As he laid in bed,
When he was just about to fall asleep for a split second the very mysterious That flashed across his mind.
Regardless of what Bun had said earlier a part of him couldn't help but hope that just maybe he would see him again.
~
At last I have done, I hope you like this chapter. Cause i really do.
Oof my hate for men really showed at Nam's part, but do not worry I shall not allow for creepy old men or men at that to get their hands on her.
Any way onto the next chapter! That visiting his favourite coffee boy once again.
Again not proof read cause I live on the edge.

Okay, I realize there's nothing in Noiren's tag so maybe you don't play him very much, but I'm a sucker for a SW so hurt-comfort prompt #1- Person A is feeling down and Person B does not like to see them this way, so they start to bring them food, a nice cup of tea and their favourite blanket.- wherein A is Noiren, maybe after a nice lightning session with Baras, and B is a dubiously-worried Vette, possibly doing a terrible job of this comfort thing?
So these are taking me forever and I am so sorry about that x.x my college work takes up so much of my time.
So in the story I've written for him and his siblings, Noiren actually doesn't have Vette(or any of the swtor companions) on his ship. BUT I love Vette and love writing my OCs in all sorts of situations and AUs!
I apologize if this is terrible btw, I have been so tired lately from school, but here's a little Noiren based drabble! Enjoy!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Everyone was confused. Noiren had always been stoic and quiet, but today was different. He was fumbling and muttering and trying to hide away from anyone that wanted to talk to him. Something was wrong.
Vette knew that it had to do with the sith's recent visit with his master. Baras was a monster, but honestly what does one do to cheer up a sith lord?
The small twi'lek managed to get her hands on a nice Alderaanian meal on their last trip and was quick to grab it with a nod to assure herself that this should do this trick. Once that was in hand she made her way to his quarters "Hey, ya busy? Or can I barge in?" She asked, though they both knew, no matter his answer, she was going to come in.
Noiren was sitting slumped over on his bed. He looked a little worse for wear. She frowned. Baras had always been tough on the male twi'lek, but he had never hurt him before. "I brought you some food. Knowing how you are, you probably haven't eaten." She continued to speak and sat beside him.
His yellow eyes glanced at her, then went back to the floor. It was hard to tell if he was seething, sad, or just plain frustrated. "Hello? Anybody in there? What happened?" She pressed.
He rolled his eyes and turned his head to look at her. He had burns all along his ruby skin, littering the right side of his face and lekku. "I don't want to talk about it." He muttered. She tried to hide her offensive gasp, but failed.
"That looks… yikes-" was all she managed to get out. He glared and turned away again. "I'm sure we can make sure it doesn't scar! But maybe you should eat first, huh?"
"Not hungry." He replied. She frowned again.
"Come on! Where's the sith i know and fear! You're never like this" Vette tried again. He tensed a little.
"You fear me? Even after I've done all I can to free you? You're not my prisoner or slave" he sighed "Honestly I would rather be in your position than my own…" he muttered.
The woman almost felt bad for saying what she did, but it was true. She was still a little afraid of him, especially after watching him kill people ruthlessly. But seeing him now, he looked as fearful and tired as she had been when they first slapped a slave collar on her neck. "I thought you wanted to be sith" was all she could think of to say.
"No." He frowned "I wanted to grow up on Ryloth with my sister and brothers. I never wanted to be sith. And now I'm tied down by a master and an oath. I have never feared for my life more than I did in that room. He threatened my life because I didn't agree with him right away." Noirens golden eyes narrowed. "I was taken away from my family so long ago by imperials and one day I plan to break free of this. Even if I have to kill baras and one thousand imperial soldiers. I'll do it."
Vettes eyes widened as he opened up to her. They were more alike than she had initially guessed. His slave collar was just a fancy title, and the shocks were just as painful. "Wow…" she mumbled. She had no idea what to say.
"Wow?" He scoffed. "Vette, why did you come in here besides to try and force me to eat a meal that's not even warmed up"
She looked at the plate and her cheeks deepened in colour slightly. "I dunno I just, saw you were all droopy and wanted to help. And don't knock it till you try it. This stuff is great cold!"
Noirens eyes rolled yet again. "Then you eat it." He insisted and suppressed a snicker as her eyes shifted left to right.
"Nah I'm good" came her reply as she moved the food away "I'll get toovee to warm it up for you later." Once the plate was gone she got more comfortable, crossing her legs and looking at her partner expectantly. "Sooooo, sister? Brothers? Gonna share?"
His brow arched and he realized she wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. Though this was working as a distraction, so she was succeeding a little in her attempts to cheer him up. "I have no choice do I?" He asked. To this she just scooted closer. He sighed and got as comfortable as he could with his new wounds. "Yes I have three siblings." He started "a twin sister-"
"You have a twin?!" She gasped and interrupted immediately. "Is she all sithy too?"
He scoffed "No. She was separated from us and sold off as a slave. They told me she made them a lot of credits to fuel my hatred." His fists balled angrily. "She was a little pink twi'lek. Skin lighter than mine, and eyes brighter. She had our mothers eyes." He was surprised to see vette actually listening, so continued. "Shes strong, so I'm sure she wasn't a slave for long. But I hope to find her someday."
"What about your brothers?" Vette asked. "Do you know where they are?"
"Yes, more or less" he shrugged. "Only slightly younger than me, Aidesan, is training still on Korriban. Now that I'm a lord I've requested to have him as my apprentice. I want to keep him safe. And the youngest, Orkra… He was imperial military but I heard he was transferred to intelligence. So.. I may never find him with how well they hide their agents." He sighed sadly and looked at his burned hand. He had almost forgotten about his grievances of the day. Talking about his family was always a little bittersweet for him, but it was better than what he was feeling before.
"Thats all really sad.." Vette pouted. "Sorry, sith. I'm not very good at this stuff." She sighed "but uh- I can at least go get Toovee to come patch you up then we can-"
"Thank you" he silenced her with that simple phrase. The blue twi'lek blinked at him for a Moment.
"What?-"
He gave her the smallest of smiles "i'm not repeating myself." He teased. "But I really should get a kolto pack."
She was silent, looking a little surprised that just letting him talk, even about something so personal and sad, helped. Then what he said hit her and she hopped up "oh! Yeah! A kolto pack! Let me go get the droid!" Vette replied quickly, but before she rushed out she bravely gave him a gentle hug. "Baras is a jerk, but you're alright, ya know that?" She said softly before finally leaving to grab 2v-R8 to take care of him.
Noiren felt oddly at peace now. His master may be harsh and untrustworthy, but his crew was filled with people that would do anything for him, and that put his mind at ease and made him feel better about where he was. No matter what Baras had in store for him, he'd at least have good people behind him.
#this is writtten so poorly and im so sorry about that-#but i still had fun writing it and it was a good way to relax#thanks for the ask and for taking an interest in Noiren!!!#he doesnt get as much love as he deserves!#mox writes#oc: noiren#writing ask meme#sunsetofdoom on blog
Some Details: Continuation of my last story, it’s gonna get SAUCY! Bloodhound and reader are gender neutral, dom stuff, primal dom stuff??? rope stuff?!?! BH has a lil something for ya but you decide what that is (strap-on or organic). Reach arounds apparently apply to everyone so ya know. Also like, BH is 6 feet or something so I wrote this for the person to be shorter than that but kept it ambiguous-ish. Sorry if you’re tall.
It's so surreal how just earlier today the two of you were good friends, and now you're being hunted in a forest by them. And you love it. You slow to a careful walk, gently tread over a log trying not to disturb anything. You softly step down and take a seat using it for cover. You have no idea where they could be, if they'll pounce while you sit. Still, you need to rest for a minute. You're beginning to feel that exhaustion from earlier, the physical toll the games had on you is creeping up.
After a couple minutes of slowing your breathing you peak out over the log, you check all surrounding areas but see nothing. Of course, that doesn't mean no one is there. You slowly rise to your feet and listen, you can only hear the sounds of the night critters. You remember how Bloodhound made no noise at all when they walked toward you in the living room, so they'll certainly make little to none out here. You do one more look over before running off again. Maybe 10 minutes pass, you can hardly run anymore but you keep trekking on clumsily. Suddenly, you get pulled backward by your wrist.
You're spun around by the force, Hound grabs your free hand and shoves you hard against a nearby tree. They press their body against yours, you’re so tired you can’t really bring yourself to push back. Now you know why they waited so long, they wanted you worn down. They force your arms together, hold both wrists with one hand and slide the rope from their shoulder. You manage to get one arm free and use your leftover strength to push against them, but Hound hardly flinches. They plant their feet firmly on the ground, put their forearm across your chest, and shove you back against the tree with more weight than before. They bring their face centimetres from yours, “Do not get cute with me,” they say through gritted teeth.
Both your arms are free, you push on them to the best of your ability but you’re wiped out. Bloodhound sighs in frustration as they grab your wrists, one again placing them in one hand in an attempt to stop you from struggling. You twist slightly only to get jerked forward, “Þú ert bráð mín,” they glare at you, “you do what I tell you, understand?” You sit still, heeding their words. Bloodhound picks up the rope up from the ground, it must have fallen when you tried to escape. They release one wrist and tie the rope around the other that’s still gripped tight in their rugged, scarred hand. Hound then grabs you by the back of your hair, “stay put,” they command. You nod in silence, they seem suspicious of your obedience, but curious over what you might do. They let you go, step to the side, and the moment there’s an opening you yank the rope from their grip. You take one step to run in the opposite direction of them before they slam you into your initial spot by pushing back on your shoulder. Their one hand pressing on your shoulder is stronger than your entire body at the moment. Their eyes are gleaming in the moonlight, their brow is furrowed, they almost look like they’re going in for the kill.
Hound steps toward you, removes their hand from your shoulder and grips your neck just hard enough to make you pleasantly dizzy, “Didn’t you hear me?” they growl. Their lips hover just by your ear, “Stay. Put,” they release you and continue where they left off. Your mind is swimming, the want for them to have their way with you is too strong to fight now, you’ve never heard them speak in this voice and you want to obey. Once they come back around, they tie your other hand. After adjusting it so you can’t pull your arms forward, but are comfortable in your position, they stand directly in front of you. You’re squirming in anticipation, you want them to touch you, to fuck you, but they just stand and observe for a while. You look at their face, they look so satisfied watching your subtle hip movements.
Just when you’re about to beg for it they move in and kiss you with ferocity. They bring their mouth to your neck and suck on it. Meanwhile they’re undoing the buttons of your pajama top. After the last button is undone, they return to kissing you, their tongue wrapping around yours. Their hands go from your chest, to your waist, to your ass. They pull you into them, squeezing your ass hard, you can feel their cock pressing up against you through their pants. Hound stops making out with you and moves down to your waist. They pull your pants off leaving your underwear behind, you breathe in deep while they stare.
They let out a soft laugh, "I see you're ready for me," they look up at you, "tell me..." They pull off your underwear and stand up, "...is this the kind of thing you thought of in the shower?" Bloodhound puts their hand on your crotch and rubs gently, “...hmm?” You don’t answer, you’re hardly paying attention to their words, you just feel your body aching for more. They notice your desperation and remove their hand. "You've been awfully disobedient, perhaps I should make you wait longer," they taunt.
You look at them with a pleading expression and shake your head, "I’m sorry. I’ll obey, I’ll do whatever you want. Just, please..."
They look at you sternly, "Please what?"
You look down and swallow hard, "please...fuck me.." you reply in a small voice.
They grab your chin and make you face them, "look me in the eyes and speak clearly. Please, what?" they demand.
You look them dead in the eyes, "please fuck me," you say decisively.
Bloodhound grabs your shoulders and pushes you to your knees, moves their sweats out of the way, and taps your face, "get it wet." You lick your lips and open your mouth without hesitation. They face fuck you briefly, making sure they’re good and slick. They pull you back up to your feet, lift your leg, and push them-self into you with ease. They don't build up, they're thrusting hard, your eyes well up in pleasure. They nibble on your ear, breathing heavily as they pound into you at a steady pace.
"B-Bloodhound...Ah!" You moan, loud. They lift your other leg and hold you up, driving you down onto them deeper. You're losing your mind, "Mmmnn, hah..fffuck! Hound!" Bloodhound is huffing and groaning, it’s so much hotter than you imagined. They bite and suck on your neck, thrusting faster. Your legs are aching but you want to keep going. Hound stops suddenly and puts you down, you look at them confused. They take out a knife, cut the rope, and put the knife away. They spin you around, “Ass up,” they push you and you drop yourself to the ground, the side of your face in the leaves and dirt.
You feel wonderfully exposed with your ass in the air, knowing they can see everything. They get on their knees and enter you with the same energy as a moment ago. One hand is squeezing your butt and the other is giving you a reach around, your body is completely engulfed with ecstasy. You're not holding back your voice even slightly, you love every second of this. Hound slaps your ass hard and you cry out, they lift you upright and grab your neck.
Their speed increases, both inside and out, their grip on your neck tightens enough to make you dizzy again. You can't hold it, "Hound, I'm..."
They slow their movement dramatically, remove their hand from your crotch, and grab your chin with the one on your neck, "you will not until I say you can," they growl. You feel like crying, you want it so bad. Bloodhound gives an occasional hard thrust or two, enough to keep you right on the cusp of climax but not enough to go all the way. They take their hand off your chin, remove your shirt completely, and shove you back to the ground. You can feel their eyes scanning your naked flesh, it makes you shiver.
Bloodhound slides their hands from your upper back to your ass. They grip and rub it as they very slowly slide in and out of you. The tension is becoming too great, you feel you might explode. "Do you wish to climax?" they ask in a calm, dominating voice.
"yes...” you plead.
They push into you hard giving you a jolt, "how bad do you want it?"
"More than anything," you say breathy and desperate.
Their hand finds its way back to your crotch, "beg, bráð mitt," they say quietly, no longer humping you.
You move your hips to stimulate yourself against them, "please, please fuck me more. I want it. I-I need it. Fuck me Blóðhundur...hh..have mercy-" you get cut off by them going at you more fierce than before, their hand working the front of you like no other. They’re gripping your ass so hard you know it’ll leave a mark. You're screaming with pleasure, they moan and grunt as they push inside you as deep as they can go. Your body is going completely wild, "Oh god I'm cumming! Ah! Fuck! Bloodhound!" they don't slow down even as you loudly orgasm, each of their thrusts prolonging your joyous release.
Bloodhound lets out a hard exhale, they thrust deep as they tremble, reaching climax as well. The two of you remain in position for a moment, catching your breath, before Hound pulls out and stands up. You stay on the ground for a moment more, you're so tired you can hardly move. Bloodhound helps you stand and hands you a rag from their pocket, they’ve already tucked their dick back into their sweats. You clean up and they take it back, folding it before putting it away, “Have to wash all of this anyway,” they mumble to them-self. They shake out your clothes and help you get dressed, your legs feel like noodles. They guide you to sit against a tree, "Are you okay to walk?" they ask as they untie your wrists.
You sit with your eyes closed, feeling your legs quiver, "um....dunno.."
They tie the halved rope back together and wrap it around their bicep, "don't worry about it." Hound picks you up bridal style and begins the walk back home.
You find it silly that you’re blushing like mad over being carried, after what the two of you just did. Suddenly you notice the dust and dirt all over you, "aww man I'm gonna need another shower," you whine, brushing the twigs and leaves out of your hair.
Bloodhound laughs, "I'll need one as well. We can take one together when we get back. I’ll wash you so you may rest." They tenderly kiss the top of your head, “From now on I’ll be caring for you, elskan mín.”
You blush more and rest your head against them. “Thanks Hound," you smile peacefully. It really is a beautiful night.
I don't know if requests are still open (if they're closed i'm sorry for asking) but if they are still open may i ask for a scenario with keith comforting reader after she's had a bad day please? (bonus if it's a college au and they're roommates crushing on each other) thanks a lot and sorry for asking if requests aren't open anymore
It’s been a long day.
Recently, your life has been made up of very, very long days.
Your limbs feel heavy, like you have to physically drag them along the corridor just to get from point A to point B. At this point, you’re willing to simply curl up in a ball and go to sleep in the middle of the hallway.
The door to your dorm is opening before you’ve even reached it. Keith pokes his head out, black hair ruffled, a pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt on. He looks well rested, sprightly in a way only Keith can. You still don’t understand how he does it - sleep. How he just. . . finds the time.
He smiles lightly when he sees you. “I thought I saw a black cloud over the building.”
You shoulder past him into the room. “Have you put coffee on?”
“Of course. Always.” Keith closes the door and turns, watching you trudge to the kitchen, feet barely lifted off the floor. You can feel his eyes burning in the back of your head, but you’re too tired to pretend right now. “Are you sure you should be having coffee? I think you need sleep.”
“I have an essay to write,” you reply. “And I have to work on my dissertation. And I have an exam in chem I have to study for-”
“Can they not wait till tomorrow? It’s Saturday.”
“I’m already behind.”
Keith scoffs, striding across the living room to your side. He snatches the coffee pot out of your hands and sets it back on the boil. You groan, getting ready to argue, but all the fight is drained from you when he grabs your shoulders and turns you to face him, and suddenly all you can see is Keith and his violet eyes and that tiny little smile he only ever wears when he’s with you, in the safety of your shared room, and you’re being a pain in the ass.
You scowl, trying to ignore the butterflies that jump to your stomach. “I’m behind, Keith.”
“No, you definitely are not,” Keith replies. “I’ve seen how much you work. There’s no way in hell you’re behind in anything.”
“My homework diary begs to differ.”
Keith raises a brow. “You need sleep. You get grumpy when you haven’t slept.”
You scoff and pull out of his grip. Again, you reach for the coffee pot, and Keith does not interject this time, instead choosing to fold his arms over his chest and lean against the counter. He does this sometimes, just watches you, inspecting each and every one of your movements. It’s as if he’s afraid you’re going to topple over, and in truth, with the way you look right now, it’s a valid anxiety for him to have.
“So how was your day anyway?” he asks conversationally, though you recognise the lilt in his voice as the one he uses when he hasn’t entirely forgotten what you were originally talking about.
You shrug. “Shit.”
“Why?”
“I got a 67 on my biology test.”
Keith stares at you. You sip your coffee.
“Just not good enough,” you mumble into your cup. “That’s gonna make my report look lousy.”
“That’s why you’re in such a bad mood?” Keith demands. “Because you got a 67?”
“I’ve been getting 80′s and 90′s since the start of the year!” you exclaim, the effort of raising your voice making you dizzy. “How did it dip so much?”
Keith rolls his eyes. “You are literally the dumbest smart person I’ve ever met in my entire life.”
You shove his shoulder. “You don’t understand.”
“Maybe not,” he replies. “But I know you, and I see you, every single night, slaving over your desk for hours on end. The fact that you’ve convinced yourself anything below an 80 is bad is just. . . ridiculous.”
He’s said this to you before. Multiple times. Everybody has said this to you, but it never hits home. It never makes sense. And yes, you can understand why some people believe you to be overreacting, but they haven’t had the upbringing you’ve had, and just because they don’t put such high expectations on themselves doesn’t mean you’re wrong for doing so.
You take another sip of your coffee. “I’m an overachiever.”
“You’re going to bed.”
Your eyes snap up. “What-”
But Keith doesn’t let you finish. He grabs your mug, places it on the counter before wrapping his arm around your shoulders and guiding you forward. It takes a second for you to realise what he’s actually doing, but once the realisation dawns, you start fighting back, kicking against the kitchen cupboards, being lifted off the floor as you groan and repeat, “I can’t, I can’t, I can’t” on repeat.
“Yes you can,” Keith says, a hint of amusement evident in his tone. It makes your heart sing, because you only ever hear it when you’re within the walls of your dorm. He doesn’t share that kind of amusement with anyone else. “Oh my God, Y/N, don’t make me lift you.”
“You haven’t got the strength-”
He lifts you right off your feet.
You screech, barely managing to slap a hand to your mouth before someone surely calls the police and reports an attempted murder. Keith laughs, a tiny splutter.
“This is awful,” you mumble. “You’re being awful. Why can’t you just let me wallow in self-hatred in peace?”
“Because,” Keith replies, kicking open his own bedroom door and tossing you on the mattress. “You’re incredible, and it’s about time you start treating yourself like it.”
You pause, certain you’ve heard him wrong. No. That doesn’t make sense. Keith doesn’t just use words like incredible, especially not when he’s talking about you. That’s one of the Strong Adjectives, isn’t it? One that means a lot. Keith doesn’t risk using those.
He stands in the doorway, hands on his hips. When you meet his eyes, he nods towards the bed, a silent way of saying Get tucked in. Slowly, you peel back the covers and slip beneath them, keeping your eyes on your room mate the entire time.
He nods, content, and turns to leave, but you can’t let that happen. Not right now. Not when he’s on the brink of saying something meaningful.
“Keith, wait.”
He pauses, glances over his shoulder. “I’m not getting your coffee for you.”
“Why do you treat me differently than everyone else?”
His shoulders tense. His bottom lip disappears between his teeth. His grip tightens on the door frame. “What do you mean?”
“You know what I mean.”
“Y/N-”
“Because. . . . well, like, I know I’ve never said it, but I like you. A lot. You - you take care of me when I need it, and you remind me that I’m okay, that everything is - uh - good, and okay, and I just. . . I don’t know. If you don’t feel the same way-”
He turns fully then, the light from the hallway making his skin look paler than it really is. You look away, unable to meet his gaze when he’s looking like that, when you’ve just said something like that.
“How do you think I feel?” he asks.
You shrug. You don’t want to get your hopes up. He’s nice to you, and he treats you differently than he treats everybody else,but you also have the upper hand on everyone else. You live with him. He can’t be cold and distant all of the time, and maybe he just sees his time at home, with you, as a time to relax. It doesn’t necessarily mean anything.
But then he’s walking towards his bed and he’s sitting by your feet, and his hand is touching your cheek as his eyes never leave your face. You inhale, biting your bottom lip.
“You know how I feel,” he says. “I’m not letting you sleep in my bed and making you coffee and calling you incredible because I think you’re a good pal.”
Your stomach jumps. “Keith-”
“You had a bad day today,” he mumbles, pushing a piece of hair behind your ear. “Get some sleep. I’ll be here in the morning.”
He leans forward and presses a soft kiss to your temple, lingering just a moment too long to be considered innocent. He pulls away then, smiles that oh-so-soft smile before he gets up and leaves the room.
DRAGON HEART
Firebender x ???
Hey guys, just anted to say that if you want, you can request one shots. Also dm me if you want to be tagged to be updated with this series.
Also the parts are somewhat long because I try to fit a whole episode in each part.
Prologue Part 1
PART 2
A few days ago we left the Northern Air Temple, so much happened in the little time we stayed there. I was starting to get along with everyone, except for Sokka that is, we always seem to argue and maybe it's because he hates me??? Because I was Fire Nation, but that's my past. Anyways, the people living in the air temple gifted me a new set of clothes and even warm coats for my journey to the North. I am so thankful for them.
We are now headed towards the North Pole so Aang and Katara can find a water bending master.
"I'm not one to complain, but can't Appa fly any higher?" Sokka says indeed complaining.
Appa does seem tired, we're getting lower and lower to the ocean.
"I have an idea-" Aang says looking back "-why don't we all get on your back and you can fly us to the North Pole?"
"I'd love to! Climb on everyone-" he wiggles his butt at everyone "-Sokka's ready for takeoff!"
Momo jumps up on Sokka in response to his invitation.
"Look, we're all just a little tired and cranky because we've been flying for two days straight." I tell them and Katara agrees.
"And for what?" Sokka exclaims "We can't even find the Northern Water Tribe. There's nothing up here."
Suddenly a noise is heard up ahead. Ice is moving rapidly towards Appa. We all scream and Aang pulls Appa's reigns and avoids the ice, but almost tips us all off the saddle. Appa then moves as another jet of ice erupts out of the waves, but this one slams into Appa's underside, who drops in an uncontrolled spin into the water. Out of the icebergs several ornate wooden skiffs come to surround us.
"They're waterbenders! We found the Water Tribe! " She shouts with excitement.
------------------------------------------------------------
Aang gets up " There it is! "
"The Northern Water Tribe..." Katara continues
"We're finally here..." i whisper in awe.
The water benders leads us into their village and through the canals.
The city is loaded with beautiful streams, waterfalls and fountains. They pass another boat with a waterbender and a beautiful young Water Tribe woman with white hair, Sokka focuses on her, blushes and tried to follow her by running down Appa's tail.
"This place is beautiful." Katara says
"Yeah, she is." Sokka replied while looking dreamily at the girl from the boat.
I roll my eyes and look away. From what Katara told me, it seemed to me like he was friendly with a girl from Kyoshi Island a few weeks ago. I start to chuckle.
Sokka turns to me with a serious face "What's your deal?"
"Oh nothing nothing" I wave him off.
Later on we were invited to see the Chief because he wanted to celebrate the Avatars arrival. Katara and I finished getting ready and met up with the boys outside as we started to head out towards their palace.
--------------------------------------------
We arrive and we take our seats at the table, Katara to my right and Sokka to my left.
I'm admiring everything around us until i hear Sokka whisper.
"You should probably keep to yourself that you're a fire bender-"Wow is he trying to look out for me- " we don't want you scaring people off and ruining the mood if everything"
Ouch. How can he say that? I feel my skin starting to get hot as I was starting to turn that sadness into anger and noticed I was starting to melt a hole on the table and I quickly took my hands away.
"And what's the deal with you literally burning up like some-" Sokka was gonna continue but the Chief was about to speak.
"Tonight, we celebrate the arrival of our brother and sister from the Southern Tribe, and they have brought with them someone very special, someone whom many of us believed disappeared from the world until now. The Avatar! We also celebrate my daughter's 16th birthday. Princess Yue is now of marrying age.
Princess Yue is walking towards us.
Sokka looks at her with wide eyes.
"Thank you, father. May the great Ocean and Moon Spirits watch over us during these troubled times."
"Now, Master Pakku and his students will perform! " the Chief indicates.
As the waterbending show continues, a figure walks behind us and sits down next to Sokka. It’s Princess Yue.
"Hi, there. Sokka, Southern Water Tribe. " He says trying to act all cool.
Princess Yue smiles and bows slightly "Very nice to meet you."
"So... uh... you're a Princess!” She nods and smiles “You know, back in my tribe, I'm kinda like a Prince myself!" He says
I just couldn't hold it in " Ha! Prince of what? "
Now an angry Sokka looking back at me "A lot of things! Uh, do you mind? I'm trying to have a conversation here!"
With a smirk on my face I mock a bow "My apologies, Prince Sokka."
Sokka turns to Yue and attempts to flirt by asking her to do an "activity" or something. What the spirits
Very smooth.
------------------------------------------------
It's the morning and I'm left alone to wander around the town. Aang and Katara are getting trained, Sokka went to find the princess and I am currently walking up a mountain of ice so I can be high enough to feel the Sun and do some meditation.
I come back to our place at nightfall to see everyone except Sokka is back.
"What did you do today Y/N? Practice your fire bending?" asked Aang.
"No, I was told to not even try that while I'm here, so I just did some meditating"
"What? Who told you that?" Aang asked me seriously concerned "Momo I told you to be nice"
"Don't worry” I laughed “it wasn't Momo and I understand"
Sokka walks in all mopey.
"How's warrior training going?" Katara asked.
In response Sokka kicks a bag on the floor in anger, falls to his knees, and then flops on the bag, using it as a pillow.
"That bad?" Aang asks him.
"No, it's Princess Yue. I don't get it. One minute she wants to go out with me and the next she's telling me to get lost! So how's waterbending training?"
I sit up excited to hear about how it went, but Katara flops onto her sleeping bag, depressed.
“Master Poophead won't teach her because she's a girl." Aang replied.
"Why don't you just teach her, Aang? " I suggest.
Katara raises her head with a smile "Why didn't I think of that? At night, you can teach whatever moves you learned from Master Pakku. That way you have someone to practice with and I get to learn waterbending. Everyone's happy!"
"I'm not happy." Sokka cuts in
"But you're never happy. Come on, Aang."
They go off.
"Hey Y/N, I’ve been thinking about it and I'm sorry about what I said yesterday. It isn’t fair to you. It's just, we've never had a good experience with fire benders. Katara and I personally, we lost our mother because of the Fire Nation..."
I just listen to his story without saying a word until he finished. He tells me about how his mother died and how they are being constantly chased by the Fire Nation because of Aang.
"Look Sokka, I understand the fear and the hate, I really do. I know how dangerous and destructive fire bending and the Fire Nation can be. When I was young, my parents died giving their life for the Fire Nation and so I was raised by my grandfather Jeong Jeong. Growing up I had many try to train me fire bending but they all quit on me because my fire bending was ‘too different’ and at times ‘out of control’. They thought of it as a weakness for the Nation and their pride.....You've seen it first hand, my emotions is like some kind of fuel to it. I burn up every time my feelings get strong and sometimes lose control over it."
"Yeah, like what happened back with Master Jeong Jeong after Aang burned Katara" Sokka recalls.
"Yeah, I end up hurting the people I care about" I look down and take a deep breath before I continue "With time my grandfather realized how wrong the Nation was and their beliefs and decided to escape with me. We barely made it out alive. My grandfather later trained me to have some control over my bending through meditation. He says I'm more powerful than I realize, and that that's why the Nation didn't want me, because they were afraid or something...but now he's gone too."
"Hey, you have us now. We'll be your family and we can help you." He reassures.
"Thanks Sokka. You did have a point though, I should try to keep myself under cover because if the Fire Nation finds out who I am, then we'll be an even bigger target."
"Yeah, we'll protect you Y/N. I promise" he smiles.
Suddenly Aang and Katara comes in with a face with mixed emotions. They sit down and tell us what happened when they tried to train and how Master Pakku caught them and kicked Aang out from his training. We decided to go the next morning to talk to the chief and try to negotiate.
---------------------------------------------
"What do you want me to do?" says Chief Arnook "Force Master Pakku to take Aang back as his student?"
"Yes – please!" I try to reason for them.
"I suspect he might change his mind if you (looking at Katara) swallow your pride and apologize to him." He says.
"Fine." Katara says clearly unhappy.
"I'm waiting, little girl." Master Pakku smugly says.
"No! No way am I apologizing to a sour old man like you!" As Katara speaks, cracks open in the floor beneath her. She ends up by pointing directly at Master Pakku, her finger almost in his face.
"Uh, Katara..." Aang begins to say
Katara has a look of challenge on her face "I'll be outside – if you're man enough to fight me!"
You can hear a group of gasps
"I'm sure she didn't mean that." I try to say.
"Yeh, I think she did." Sokka replies.
We start to go after Katara this is halfway down the steps of the palace.
"Are you crazy, Katara? You're not gonna win this fight!" Sokka tries to knock some sense into her.
Katara takes off her coat and throws it at Sokka, hitting him in the face "I know! I don't care!"
"You don't have to do this for me. I can find another teacher." Aang tries to reason
"I'm not doing it for you! Someone needs to slap some sense into that guy!" She tels them.
The boys look at me for some help.
"Guys She has a point, I mean if I had a chance to show my old teachers that I was worth bejng taught, I think I would have"
As we reach the bottom of the steps, Master Pakku appears.
"So, you decided to show up?" Katara starts to say but He walks past her "Aren't you gonna fight??
"Go back to the healing huts with the other women where you belong." He says without even glancing her way.
3rd POV
Insanely angry, Katara draws a water whip out of the ground and whips Pakku on the back on the neck. He stops
Master Pakku finally faces her " Fine. You want to learn to fight so bad, study closely! "
He begins to bend and Katara runs towards him but he flings her backwards.
Master Pakku mockingly says "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you!"
Pakku creates a whirlpool and it begins to constrict, but before Katara is knocked back down she swings her arm, almost as if she were swinging a baseball bat, deflecting the wall of water off on a different trajectory. Cut to a shot of the spectators, including Aang and Sokka. The errant wall of water hits Sokka
“OW!”
Katara runs at him with a water whip. He raises a ramp of ice in front of her which she slides up and then back flips off, landing neatly on the guardrail of the citadel steps behind him. Pakku liquefies the ramp and throws it at her while catching her feet in ice. The wave breaks around Katara, however, as she bends it out of the way.
"You can't knock me down!" She says
The crowd formed starts to cheer
"Go Katara!" Aang shouts.
"You got this Katara!" Y/N encourages.
The fight goes on and Master Pakku is still decided on not teaching Katara.
Katara now standing in front of Pakku, but Master pakku sends shards of ice towards her, the shards land closely all around her. She is trapped. She struggles in vain against her prison of ice, her hands and arms unable to move.
Master Pakku walks towards her "This fight is over."
"Come back here! I'm not finished yet!" Katara yells.
"Yes, you are." he replied. He stops in surprise, picking up the necklace that fell from Katara's neck during the fight.
"This is my necklace!" He says with wonder.
"No it's not, it's mine! Give it back!" She tells him."
"I made this sixty years ago – for the love of my life." He continued saying.
Katara's ice prison liquefies behind him, freeing her "For Kana."
"My Gran-Gran was supposed to marry you?" Katara says in awe.
Master Pakku still holding the necklace, sadly says "I carved this necklace for your grandmother when we got engaged. I thought we would have a long, happy life together. I loved her."
"But she didn't love you, did she? It was an arranged marriage." Katara says.
The Princess' eyes water.
Katara walks up to Pakku "Gran-Gran wouldn't let your tribe's stupid customs run her life. That's why she left. It must have taken a lot of courage."
Proncess Yue begins to cry openly and runs away.
"Go get her." Y/N tells Sokka and nod to her direction.
"The One Where the Mask Drops"
[INCREDIBLY LONG SORRY]
Hey, I'm not dead! And to show you how incredibly not dead I am, let me tell you a story.
It's around 2 AM that Wednesday, I'm going to sleep. God knows I'm incredibly exhausted, but there's one last thing I needed to write into my diary. One last thing I couldn't go to sleep without.
"please be good to me today"
I went to sleep hoping that finally, after two weeks of feeling like shit when I thought about us, the tide would turn.
That morning, it rained. I immediately remembered a rainy Wednesday morning just like this two months ago, when the rain brought V back to me. I got very excited. Things were going to change for the better again, I felt it. Suddenly, I couldn't wait for class.
8:30 AM that morning, I'm getting ready for my 9 AM class. Google Classroom–notif. V. Private message. Uh-oh, I thought. The make-or-break moment, and not a minute too soon.
V: Thank you very much for your work!
I almost laughed out loud. "Wow, [Name], don't strain yourself!" I remember saying as I read it.
One infuriatingly boring English (as a foreign language) class later, it was time for V's class. I was ready five minutes in advance, but as I went on The Platform That Shall Not Be Named... no one was there. I found it odd. Usually, there are a couple of us by now. Anyway, I didn't enter the voice channel. I waited five minutes in solitude outside for someone to show up.
Well, V did. And I wasn't very well going to leave her alone, now, was I?
She greeted me 0.1 second after I joined. I tried not to be awkward about it just being the two of us, I immediately stroke up a conversation. I told her how I was already waiting, all the stuff you guys already know, and she asked if we had any lessons prior. I told her about one third of us having had English just now. We spent about two minutes alone together, as I rambled about the awkward and unfortunate situation and she listened, mostly in silence.
She was very audibly tired, and said very little, that much was to be expected from a 10 AM class. But... I might just be overthinking it, but I heard something there that concerned me. Something crushed and disappointed, something that told me she wasn't expecting only one person to show. There was something painfully lonely in that voice.
Bookworm Friend joined, about 3-ish minutes into class, and Debate Friend a minute or two later, but they were both muted, so I carried on. I asked V to tell us what happened in school in the past two days, what we missed out on, enthusiastically replying to everything I could, so she wouldn't feel like she was speaking into the abyss, so she'd know I was trying my hardest to be there for her. Then she brought up the tests she was correcting at the moment, even naming a really stupid mistake she encountered with a little laugh. But what really smacked me in the gut was when I brought up the small attendance, and she said: "There's nothing we can do." in this very melancholy voice, like she was giving up. She even texted the class group chat that she's waiting.
How do I know that she wasn't just simply tired, and that's why she sounded like that, so worn and discouraged, especially at first? Because as soon as the others, who don't belong in my friends' circle, started showing up, her voice and entire behaviour did a 180°, as if she suddenly woke up. But she didn't. I know for a fact she didn't. Nobody just wakes up that suddenly.
It took me until that afternoon to realise that I'd just spent 5 minutes with the real V, the same V I spoke to in early December, who didn't try to hide her emotions. Not from me.
If you only heard the next thirty minutes of class, you could never tell she was feeling sad to begin with. And there was a LOT to be heard. Starting with how she mispronounced "cheat somebody out of sth" as "EAT somebody out", which is... well... all I'm saying is, I fell on my knees and tried to laugh as silently as I could. Prime moment.
She said something along the lines of "We're all very sober here", after which I just texted my friends:
S: "Darling, you tell us drinking stories every two weeks, would you mind if I didn't believe you?"
and sometime after, this text was also sent, for which I will not be offering context:
S: "[Name], that was enough sex for 10 AM, I'm gonna pass out"
And, of course, after all that went down, V saying "you can't satisfy everyone" sounded VERY different.
At some point, I attempted to joke around, but as she was reading a message in the chat that was sent at the same time, I got quite the half-assed response. But what happened in the last five minutes? Oh, that changed everything.
Art Friend knew how upset I was that V didn't reply at all to my assignment, and I told her I wanted to talk to V about it. During class, she texted me if I still wanted it, and I told her no, because I'm no longer upset with her. And what does this madwoman do? SHE ASKS ABOUT THE ASSIGNMENTS.
V is absolutely enthusiastic, she goes on about how much she liked what she saw and how creative we were. Art Friend asks about hers. Then comes my leap of faith. It's now, or never.
"I hope I didn't go too far..." I said, a bit nervous, not knowing how she'd react. She never did like me trying to undermine myself. And you guys... she chuckled. Incredibly soft and warm and just what I needed to feel at ease. That already threw me off, but then, she followed it up with: "No, I really-really liked it." I could tell she was smiling on the other side of the screen and that she was completely honest. I had to sit down after that, because I just couldn't believe what I heard. That I really just witnessed all that, that I got a reaction I couldn't overthink and/or misinterpret, because I heard it with my own two ears, in real time. I felt like I could do anything in the world.
And yet, the next day, I didn't do my usual notes for her test. Because what did Specs do all evening instead? I was fucking singing. I couldn't deny being a goddamn theatre kid if I tried.
Friday. The day of the test. I'm restlessly taking notes in the morning, but I don't have the time to get into the analytics of poems, only the basics of the dude's life and works. It makes me incredibly frightened, because V's tests are only easy if you come prepared — if you have no clue what she's talking about, abandon all hope. I had absolutely everything open for cheating that I could open, and you guys? I lucked out. Most of the test was just "Explain what [insert quote] means in 2-3 sentences", and if there's something I excel at, as you've probably noticed, it's talking. It was easy as could be.
The only thing making me anxious were my classmates. They were all trying to ask for help, constant questions and begging, everyone is hopeless, because they couldn't give two shits about preparing beforehand. They were all assured some loser was gonna give them the answers. And the some loser was me. I gave it to them, everything except for the final, longer essay. That was private, only meant for V to read. After all, how was I supposed to show them my essay, that ends like this?:
"Even if our existence is finite, it's always worth fighting for happiness."
And yes, yes it is. Always. Look at me. I powered through weeks of a shitstorm, where every single day felt like years, where I no longer knew or cared what was going to happen. And let me tell you, the sun always shines beyond the clouds. You just can't see it yet. But GOD, you will. You will.
I needed time to write this. There's loads going on at the moment, not necessarily V-related, and I'm trying to work my way through it gently enough that I can make it the end sane and healthy. Currently, it's three weeks since all this happened. One and a half weeks left until school ends. I might get to see V in person again, but we'll see how it goes. All I know is that whatever happens, I can do it. Because even if my existence is finite, it's always worth fighting for happiness.
Tsundere BTS! IDFC: In love with the best friend (Song Edition)
Alright so I discussed the need for BTS as tsunderes with someone and I suddenly got an idea. Please please please forgive me if any of it isn't accurate cause this was my first attempt so.... LET'S GET IT?!
Also this Imagine is based on the song IDFC by Blackbear. If you haven't heard it then please do cause it's so good.
Kim Seokjin:
Tell me pretty lies, look me in the face. Tell me that you love me, even if it's fake. Cause I don't fucking care...at all.
Jin cursed under his breath when you wrapped your hands around his arm and leaned your head on his shoulder. It would have been normal if you were his girlfriend. But you weren't. You were his best friend who had a boyfriend. And he was tired of it.
Tired of not being your boyfriend. Tired of hearing you cry only to end up going back to that bastard who just didn't know how to treat you right. Tired of pretending that he didn't have feelings for you. He wasn't good at showing his emotions anyway but he probably would have made an effort if he had a chance with you. But he didn't.
At this point, he just wanted you to tell him that you loved him. Even if it was a lie.
At this point, he just wanted you to look at him the way he looked at you. Even if you were imagining someone else at that moment.
He just didn't care, desperation had become his best friend lately.
"He took me for a long drive but it ended shortly. He got a call from Lila and she sounded hurt so he had to go look aft-" he scoffed at your words, earning a frown from you. He knew Lila very well, the campus it-girl who loved waking up in everyone else's bed but hers. She had tried seducing Jin too but it definitely didn't work on him. The cold wind made you shiver as you stopped walking beside Jin and crossed your arms, glaring at him. He rolled his eyes and turned to you. "Why did you react like that?" You asked, tilting your head to the side. With a sigh, Jin took off his coat and proceeded to place it on your shoulder. "Can't have you falling sick when your boyfriend clearly needs you, right?" He mocked, looking at you with the same cold eyes that you saw every day. You shook your head in confusion, frowning even more if that was even possible.
"And to answer your question, how else do you want me to react, Y/N? Honestly, I'm out of things to say when you keep talking about him whenever we meet. He doesn't fucking care about you. Lila is not a damsel in distress and you know that. If you don't then you're even more naïve than I thought." He stated, immediately regretting his words when he saw the tears building up in your eyes. You glanced down at your shoes and bit your lip before wiping away a tear that escaped your eye. "You talk as if you're so much better. Every time that I try to talk to you, all I get are vague replies. You don't care either, Jin! I really thought I could put up with your distant and cold self but it's hard an-" you explained, your voice cracking in the middle but Jin cut you off.
"Then leave."
As soon as you heard those words, your mind went blank. "What?" You whispered, looking at him with wide eyes. Jin's heart was tearing apart at how upset you seemed. But he couldn't do it any more. He wanted you more than just a best friend. 5 years of hidden feelings had too many consequences. But he knew it had to be done. "I don't want your friendship, Y/N. Don't mean to sound like a selfish ass but I want what he has. And he has you. And since you're very much happy with him fucking around then I can't stand by the sidelines and watch you get played. So do us both a favour and leave." Jin said, his voice sounding more and more distant as you watched him walk away. You pulled his coat tightly around you, telling yourself that everything was gonna be okay.
But were you gonna be okay?
____________________________________________
Kim Namjoon:
You're slurring all your words, not making any sense. But I don't fucking care...at all.
Your hands were lightly wrapped around Namjoon's as he rested his head on the palm of his other hand. Faint snores rang through the room as the sun began to rise, reminding him that he needed to get some shut-eye.
He couldn't believe that he had pulled an all-nighter just to take care of a drunk you.
The you, that had unwantedly confessed to him that you were, indeed, in love with him. Right after the words left your mouth, his mind went blank and his heart kept pounding. He tried so hard to keep himself calm while putting you to bed, trying to pry yourself off of him while you pouted and accused him of not loving you back.
Little did you know....
It had been too long. Namjoon didn't even remember when he first started having feelings for you. But it had definitely been too long. He wasn't the best at this. People avoided him because he looked rude. But to you, he was your best friend that you adored beyond description.
Namjoon tried to sleep but that seemed like an impossible task. He just wanted to sit and admire you while telling himself that you were drunk and you didn't know what you were saying. But his conscience was screaming at him. Because drunk words are sober thoughts.
Namjoon let his fingers rest on your cheek, smiling when you leaned into them unconsciously. But that smile disappeared just as it came when you opened your eyes, instantly wincing due to the terrible headache you had. With panic rising in his chest, Namjoon flicked at your cheek making you yelp. You glared at him while rubbing your forehead and your cheek simultaneously. "What the hell, Joon?!" You exclaimed, whimpering after. Namjoon returned your glare and grabbed the pills he had placed on the nightstand along with a glass of water. Handing them to you, he stood up and started to leave the room, stopping on hearing your voice.
"Okay, am I dreaming? Because by now I would have thrown myself out the window after hearing your lecture about 'Bad decisions and their consequences'." You stated, making quotation marks in the air. Namjoon frowned and turned around, glancing at the empty glass by your side.
"I don't feel the need to lecture you. You're a grown woman who can make her own decisions." He replied, making you frown in confusion. This was not how Namjoon reacted. He always told you how childish you were and only a miracle could change that thought of his. But the truth was, Namjoon couldn't say anything to you after your confession. Mostly because he didn't regret anything and also you weren't aware of what you had said.
"Did I...say something last night?" You asked, hoping to find out why Namjoon was acting this way. His eyes widened momentarily but you didn't notice.
It was really simple, actually. Or at least that's what Namjoon thought. There was no way that he could hold your words against you when they were said in the wrong situation. He cared about you but he was also afraid that you would laugh it off. That would probably hurt the most. He was willing to wait until you said it as if you meant it but if that never happened, he was also willing to forget his feelings, if that was possible.
"No. Now get ready. It's your turn to make breakfast today." And so he left, leaving your heart in pieces. But you didn't blame him.
You didn't blame him for not knowing that you were sober and it was an act. You didn't blame him for not knowing that your words were honest and sincere. You didn't blame him for not wanting you back.
You just didn't blame him.
Min Yoongi:
Cause I have hella feelings for you. I act like I don't fucking care, like they ain't even there.
Damp hair and damp clothes. Smeared mascara and tear stained cheeks. A wreck is what you were. And the sobs leaving your mouth only added to your misery.
It was raining heavily and you were positive that you would have fallen sick by now if it weren't for Yoongi, who was holding an umbrella over your crying figure while standing in the rain himself. But you didn't notice because you were too busy loathing over being stood up on a date that you had with a guy who had flirted with you for over a month. It was definitely heartbreaking for you, but it was even more heartbreaking for Yoongi, because he had to watch his best friend cry over an asshole when he could've done something about it But this wasn't about him. This was about you.
So he let you cry your heart out as you sat on the concrete with your knees pulled up to your chest, shivering occasionally.
Yoongi had to watch you smile at your phone for a month. He had to listen to your late night conversations on the phone through the thin walls of your shared house. He had to help you dress up for a guy who didn't deserve you. A guy that wasn't him. And there was nothing more painful than that.
"Wh-why me?" You stammered, hiccups making their way through your lips. You had been crying for too long. You didn't even remember when you called Yoongi to pick you up, only to end up breaking down in the middle of the footpath. You didn't even remember when he got there or when the rain stopped hitting you because he placed his only umbrella above you.
Yoongi's heart broke even more on hearing your voice. It held so much pain, he wished he could take it away. "Get up." He ordered, his voice wavering a little. You looked up at him, frowning and sniffling at his sudden coldness. But you were used to it. Because you knew Min Yoongi like no one else. So you obliged, holding onto his arm as you almost fell down due to how exhausted you felt. You gasped lightly on seeing your best friend's drenched state. His lips were almost pale, making you feel guilty about being such a crybaby. "Tomorrow morning, the first thing you are doing is coming with me to that bastard's dorm. And when we reach there, you better slap him with all you've got, do you understand?" He asked, anger evident in his tone. You smiled slightly after hearing his words. And there was no need for you to ask him why. The answer was already before you, so you nodded.
"Good. Now let's go home and get you out of these ridiculous clothes. You look better in hoodies anyway." He stated, grabbing your hand and pulling you behind him. The warmth that ran through Yoongi when he held your hand was unfathomable. It just felt too comforting. He wished to hold your hand forever but that seemed impossible at the moment. He thought he was just your best friend and you'd never take it further than that.
Which is why he did it. Probably his most stupid decision but he did it anyway. He set up a date for himself with your friend, the one who clearly liked him. Not like you would be bothered anyway, right?
"Will you spend the entire day with me? Tomorrow?" He broke out of his thoughts on hearing your voice. He was buckling your seatbelt for you already. Your eyes skimmed over his lost expression. Something was on his mind.
"I can't. I have a date tomorrow. But we could do something after I get back." He replied, turning the engine on and pulling onto the road. You couldn't tell why but your heart felt like it was being ripped out of your chest. Obviously, he had his own life. He couldn't just be there for you whenever you wanted. Strangely, it hurt more than being stood up. Blinking rapidly, you tried to get rid of the tears filling your eyes again. Your eyes closed as you wondered if you had lost your only chance at happiness.
Wondering if you'd lost the only person who thought you were enough.
Jung Hoseok:
Cause I have hella feelings for you. I act like I don't fucking care, cause I'm so fucking scared.
You know, the nervous and anxious feeling that you get when you do something you've never done before, that makes you wanna run away? That's exactly how Hoseok felt, dry throat and clammy hands. It was as if he was gonna pass out but he couldn't afford to do that. Dance lessons for the day had just ended.
Which meant, time to talk to you.
Grabbing his water bottle, he watched as all the students left the room, leaving him alone with you. You, the best friend of the absolutely talented but misunderstood Jung Hoseok. He had first met you in this very room, when you had decided to join dance lessons to take your mind off of things. And now here you were, three years and an amazing friendship. A friendship that Hoseok was sure he was gonna ruin.
Taking in a deep breath, he walked towards where you were sprawled out on the floor, lying down in the same position beside you.
It had been precisely two years and 4 months since Hoseok had realised his feelings for you. No matter what he did, you were the only thing on his mind and he just couldn't imagine his life without you. Too much pain.
"I have to tell you something." He stated, staring at the white ceiling. He could feel your eyes on him but he couldn't bring himself to look into them, afraid he'd mess up his speech. "Me too." You replied, smiling at him even though he couldn't see it. You were beyond excited to see his reaction on hearing what you have to say. With a frown, Hoseok turned his head towards you, wondering if you had to say something more important. "You first." He urged, making you nod. You sat up straight and tucked your feet beneath your butt, biting your lower lip harshly.
"I like someone."
The words made Hoseok wanna throw up. His heart was beating faster and his breathing was becoming heavier. Side effects of a broken heart. He immediately sat up and turned away from you, not wanting you to see the distress on his face.
He couldn't even remember how many times this had happened to him before. Being rejected for someone else. It made him feel suffocated. He wasn't expecting you to do the same. After 2 years of preparing himself, this was definitely not what he wanted. He was scared of being in love but you made it seem like it was beautiful. How stupid of him to have let his guard down.
"Hobi, are you okay?" Your soft voice brought him out of his agony. His head was starting to hurt and he hadn't even noticed the tear that had fallen down his cheek. Quickly wiping it away, he stood up and rushed to grab his bag. "Fine." He mumbled, not wanting to talk to you anymore. It was a mistake and he had to fix it. He was better off without you anyway.
Seeing him walking out the door, you couldn't help but feel like things were going wrong when they weren't supposed to. It was supposed to be a simple beginning to a simple love story. You were going to confess to Hoseok and he was gonna say he felt the same. But for some reason, the words were stuck inside your throat.
"You had to say something too." You said, sighing in relief as he stopped in his tracks. After a minute of silence, he finally spoke. "I won't be coming here anymore. Don't waste your time trying to keep in touch with me. I really don't care."
You fell on your knees just as he left, your vision becoming blurry as painful tears filled your eyes. You clutched at your chest with a gasp because it hurt. It hurt too much to fix it. Everything went so wrong so fast. And you didn't even know what to do. Yes, he was cold at times but he did care. Or at least that's what you thought. You lay on the wooden floor, sobbing and complaining about how unfair this was.
About how love broke you.
Park Jimin:
I'm only a fool for you. And maybe you're too good for me.
Hiding behind his stack of books, Jimin tilted his head to take a look at the entrance of the library. The doors were still closed, indicating that no one had come through yet. But Jimin knew it was only minutes until you barge in through those doors in search of him to help you with your upcoming test.
Jimin hated that you only needed him for studies or when you had to cry your eyes out over some boy who broke your heart. That's all he was. A second choice. And for some twisted reasons, he had ended up falling in love with you. His heart kept screaming at him that it was wrong. Because you were the popular girl and he was just the campus nerd. There was no way there could be something between you two.
Just like he'd predicted, the doors to the library opened and you walked in, glancing at the huge room to look for your best friend. Jimin sighed as he watched you disappear between a couple shelves, only to scare him by suddenly jumping at him from behind. "And what's my cute bean busy with?" You chirped, taking a seat beside him and chuckling on hearing his groan.
"I'm not cute." He stated, rolling his eyes and closing the book that was in front of him. You couldn't tell but Jimin's heart was pounding just because you were sitting too close to him. "Whatever you say, hotstuff!" You shrugged and placed your cheek on the palm of your hand, resting your elbow on the table. With another shake of his head, he shoved all his books in his bag and zipped it shut. Pushing his chair behind him, Jimin stood up and walked towards the exit as you followed him while holding his arm with both of your hands.
"Jiminie, I need your help." You said, pouting at him and batting your lashes. A frown etched itself on your face when Jimin raised his eyebrows and turned to you.
"Tell me something I don't know."
Your jaw dropped in surprise as you stopped in your track, looking at Jimin in disbelief as he continued to walk out of the campus.
"What is that supposed to mean?!" You yelled, chasing after him as he laughed softly at how offended you were. Just as you caught up to him, he pursed his lips, hiding all traces of the laughter he had just emitted. "Just tell me what you need, Y/N." He urged, squinting when the bright sunlight hit his face on stepping out of the campus. He heard you huffed beside him, growing a little concerned for you. Maybe you were really in trouble th-
"I need you to come on a date with me..."
He choked on his own saliva and turned to you with wide eyes. Did he really just hear you say that?
"... actually a double date."
Jimin shut his eyes and took in a deep breath before chuckling bitterly to himself. Of course, it was a double date. How could he even think otherwise? The thought of you going on a date with someone made his heart ache. This wasn't the first time but he still wasn't used to it. He could never get used to seeing you go out with someone who wasn't him. "No." He mumbled, quickening his pace towards where his car was parked. You whined and ran behind him, confused as to why he just rejected you. You had never heard Jimin say no to you for anything before. "Oh come on, it will be fun. My friend is bringing her boyf-" you started to convince him, only to be cut off when he let out a loud groan.
You knew this was a bad idea. Jimin would never actually agree to go on a date with you. You were only his best friend who he tolerated to no extent. Yes, sometimes you used him for different purposes but that was only because you wanted a reason to be by his side all the time.
"I said no, Y/N. Don't make me say something you don't wanna hear because you know I can. So please go and find someone else to play with. I'm done being your pet."
Ouch.
Jimin was so consumed by his thoughts that he didn't even listen to what you were trying to say. He just knew that he couldn't be in a one sided love story anymore. So he made it clear to you, not even sparing you a glance as he drove off. He didn't know what he had done. Because love is blind.
And so is pain.
Kim Taehyung:
I'm only a fool for you. But I don't fucking care...at all.
The party had ended after the fight between your boyfriend and Taehyung. They both had mercilessly kicked and punched each other as if their lives depended on it. Taehyung couldn't explain the anger that he felt after hearing your boyfriend's disgusting comments about you. This wasn't the kind of disrespect that you deserved and he wanted you to know that. For years, he had tried to keep you away from boys who only wanted you for sex. In his eyes, no one could love you like he did. But this time, he had failed.
You pulled your hair in frustration and walked towards the front door. Everyone had left, including your boyfriend. You were mad and confused because of how the night turned out. The fight took you by surprise because you didn't think there was any bad blood between Taehyung and your boyfriend. Actually, no, you didn't think anyone could have any problems with Taehyung. Firstly, because he didn't really talk to many people and came off as an introvert. And secondly, he was the most loving person in this entire world. But then again, no one knew him as you did. Even though he never told you, you knew just how much he cared about you.
That wasn't the only thing though. Before leaving, your boyfriend had told you to stay away from your best friend. Why? Because he had feelings for you. And for some reason, your heart fluttered. You sighed on seeing Taehyung sitting on the front porch of your house and approached him.
Taehyung noticed you sitting beside him. He was currently debating with himself whether he should let you in on his feelings or not. Because there was definitely a possibility that you would change your mind about your boyfriend.
Maybe you'd leave him to be with Taehyung.
The thought made him giddy but anxious. "Tae, what was that back there?" You asked softly. The light from inside the house illuminated his face a little, making him look even more ethereal than before. "He talked shit about you," Taehyung replied, clenching his jaw on remembering the exact words. You couldn't bring yourself to defend your boyfriend. You believed your best friend. It warmed your heart to think that he protected you, like always.
"If you think I did this for you then stop assuming. I...I.... nevermind I did it for you." Taehyung slumped in defeat. He didn't want you to think he was weak for you but he didn't know what to say without making you upset either. You chuckled and leaned your head on his shoulder as he smiled softly. The cool air made you feel cold and you pouted while rubbing your arms to keep them warm, failing eventually. You grabbed taehyung's arm and placed it around your shoulder. His breath hitched and a blush crept up his cheek. "Tae, I have a ques-" before you could ask him, he answered.
"I like you, Y/N."
You lifted your head from his shoulder and looked at him. His face was so close to yours, you could kiss him. You could kiss him and forget all about your current relationship. You could be happy with someone you've known all your life. You could-
"I have a boyfriend, Tae."
The words were out before you could stop them. You wanted to jump off a cliff on seeing the hurt expression on taehyung's face. You had just broken your best friend's heart. The best friend that you probably liked. Taehyung immediately stood up and started walking towards his car. He couldn't see your face anymore. All this time he was thinking that maybe you'd realize that your boyfriend was a heartless bastard. Maybe you'd realize that someone could love you more. But no, you were still reminding him of why you couldn't be with him. He was a fool to think that you would give him a chance. Your voice called out to him but he didn't turn.
He didn't wanna stand by you anymore.
Jeon Jungkook:
You've been out all night, I don't know where you've been.
Jungkook threw the phone across the room in anger, wincing internally on thinking about the damage that could have happened. He had tried calling you about 30 times but you hadn't picked up. It worried him a lot since he had absolutely no idea where you had gone even though you did tell him it was a girls' night out. You had never stayed out until 3 before so Jungkook thought there must have been something wrong.
You and Jungkook were housemates, mostly because you both were best friends but also to help with the expenses. College had treated you both well so far. Jungkook was the golden boy while you were just another average girl living her best life. You had to admit that a part of you actually really liked Jungkook but you figured it was wrong so you buried those feelings away. And Jungkook? He had realised the extent of his feelings only after he had seen another notoriously popular playboy hitting on you. It made Jungkook so pissed that he ended up punching Trevor while threatening him to stay away from you.
Because you were the most innocent and beautiful girl he had ever met. Your eyes, the curve of your nose, your plump lips, your soft skin and your long hair. Every single thing about you became a reason for Jungkook to fall harder. The distant but popular hottie of the college was hopelessly in love with his best friend. And she didn't know.
Loud music and cheers of people grabbed jungkook's attention as he rushed to the window in the living room, only to see you walking beside the very playboy who Jungkook had punched, Trevor Marshall. You smiled at him as his friends cheered at him from his car, oblivious to the person waiting for you inside your humble abode.
You flinched as soon as you opened the door to the house. Jungkook stood in front of you with his arms crossed, his eyes glaring at you with sheer intensity. You were about to greet him but then you remembered what Trevor had told you so you returned his glare and shut the door behind you.
"What was Trevor doing here?" Jungkook asked, making you shiver on hearing his voice. You gulped but composed yourself and dropped your coat on the floor after taking it off. Jungkook's eyes raked over your body. A skin tight dress hugged your body and showed off your curves in all the right places. How did he not notice what you wearing before you left the house? Oh right! The coat. "Dropping me off. What else? Oh and by the way, he told me something very interesting." You mocked, brushing past his shoulder and into the living room, not catching his eyes on your hips. Jungkook gritted his teeth and followed you. He was absolutely not worried about you knowing what he did to that stupid asshole. "What did he say?" Jungkook asked, watching as you stood in the middle of the room with your hands on your hips.
"You punched him and told him to stay away from me. What the hell, Jeon? You think you can do whatever you want with my life when you have girls throwing themselves at you?!" You bellowed, your chest rising and falling rapidly with how breathless you felt. At this point, Jungkook was equally mad at you. You were talking as if he wanted that life. "I'm protecting you, Y/N! I know that guy better than you and all he wants is to get in-" Jungkook hated being interrupted and that's exactly what you were doing. This was only riling him up more.
"All this time, I thought something was wrong with me but it was you. You kept everyone away from me. Why, Jungkook? Why?!"
"Because I'm falling for you harder and harder everyday!"
Your breath hitched and silence took over. Jungkook mentally cursed at himself for acting this way. He should've known better than to say this. Judging by your expression, it was clear that you definitely didn't think the same.
Misunderstandings.
These were the very words that you wanted to hear so badly. It made you feel all warm and fuzzy. But all of it went as soon as it came upon hearing your best friend's next words. "But don't worry, Y/N. I'll just take this burden off of you. Go and do whatever the fuck you want. I was stupid to think you'd appreciate this. But now I won't bother you. Don't come crying to me though. Because right from this moment, I don't fucking care what you do with your life." He spat and rushed to his room, slamming the door shut as tears filled in your eyes. Jungkook knew that he was too harsh. He always regretted the things he said when he was angry. How did things go from right to wrong so fast? How did you get confessed to and rejected at the same time? You sat on the couch and ended up crying yourself to sleep, your thoughts consuming you in an endless abyss.
How did love embrace you only to tear you apart?
Well, I kinda messed up some of the members but... can't blame me for trying, right? Anyway, I know my requests are closed but you can absolutely send in song requests too. Give me a song and I'll write what I interpret out of it's lyrics. Alright, goodbye!
Evasion
You know what I can’t get enough of? ticklish Emile.
So guess what I wrote: a fic involving ticklish Emile.
Gotta credit this lovely fic by @cefstickles, which totally sold me on the Deceit x Emile pairing. The AU of this fic is based loosely on this post, which speculates that Dr. Picani might take on some of Thomas’ sides himself if he had Thomas as a client.
Pairings: Deceit x Dr. Emile Picani Words: 1,357 Warnings: tickle fic, implied angst from unidentified clients, sad Emile (don’t worry, he gets better). SFW. [Let me know if I left any warnings out!]
If you’d like to be added to my taglist, lemme know!
Emile Picani loved his job. Really, he did.
But the same traits that made him so good at it- the empathy and depth of understanding that allowed him to pour so much of his heart into his work - left him, on bad days, feeling as dim and hollow as a spent candle.
Today was a bad day.
"Are you alright?" Deceit asked, uncharacteristically direct.
Emile was slumped beside him on the couch, struggling to peel open an applesauce cup. He didn't seem to hear.
"...Em?"
"Hm? Oh, yes." His voice was thin, more like he was murmuring to himself than replying. Another long silence followed.
"One of your patients, I take it?"
Emile finally placed the applesauce cup on the coffee table, still stubbornly sealed. "Several." He straightened up and smoothed his hands over his knees. "But. Work at work, home at home." He flashed his companion what he hoped was a cheerful smile. "No need to worry. You wanna watch a show or... somethin'?"
It was not a convincing performance.
"That's not dinner, is it?" Deceit nodded to the applesauce.
Emile looked at it blankly. "Well, I can't get it open, so I suppose not."
Deceit turned his human eye to him and managed to deliver a scolding lecture on the importance of self-care in a single deadpan look. Emile would've smirked, if he still had it in him.
When he looked away instead, Deceit's heart dropped a little. He felt a bit out of his depth - heart-to-hearts were in Emile’s wheelhouse, not his (at least, not honest ones). But he sure looked like he needed one.
"Would... you care to discuss it?"
Emile did manage a warm little smile at that. "I can't, really... confidentiality and all that."
"Oh, but I'm very confidential!" Deceit replied. "Keeping secrets is my specialty."
"You have enough of my secrets, sweetheart."
Truth was, Emile really didn't want to talk about it. It was hard enough to listen to the echoes of the day's events; they’d been spinning through his mind since he'd walked through the door.
Deceit slumped back. "Well, let's find something to help you relax then."
"Honestly, Dee, I'm fine. I just need a good night's sleep is all."
"You know how you get, though. At this rate, you'll be tossing and turning all night..."
Emile sighed and let his head fall limply against the wall behind him. Another silence yawned.
"I thought you cared about me! I thought you understood!"
"...Is there a particular show you feel like rewatching?" Deceit's voice sounded far away.
"Dr. Picani, I did it again. I thought I was getting better."
"Well, if you can't get it off your chest, and you're clearly not interested in television..." Deceit was starting to grow concerned.
"Dr. Picani, I want to-"
"-Hey!" Emile squeaked, and dropped back to earth like a sack of bricks.
"That got your attention." Deceit peaked his hands under his chin and began tapping his fingers together, a villainous glint in his eye.
Emile, sensing where this was heading, drew his knees up to his chin and pressed back against the cushions. "I-if that’s how you think you’re gonna get me to relax, you’re-"
"Is it? Why, I hadn't considered it, but I must say that's an excellent idea."
"Dee, I didn't mean-" Okay, maybe he did, just a little bit. "Y-you don't have to-”
"I think we could both use a little... levity, don’t you think?"
"Wait - both of us? Is everything okay?" Picani scrambled to sit up against the arm of the chair and tilted his head with concern. "You didn’t have another nightmare, did you? I know how hard you take th-"
"Ah ah ah, don't go turnin' this back on me!" Deceit cut him off, smirking. "I'm not falling for your little therapist routines."
"Wha- that’s- it’s called emotional sensitivity, you jerk!" Picani was unable to keep the smile out of his voice. "That's not a ‘therapy routine,’ it's-"
"It's called an evasive maneuver, my dear, and I see right through it." He leaned in close, propping his chin on the other’s knees. "Evasion, after all, is my specialty."
Emile made an attempt at a stern look, but was far too distracted by the proximity of the other man (who was now stretching his fingers, catlike, up toward the ceiling) to maintain it.
"Now, if I remember correctly..." Deceit resumed poking gently up the other's sides, screwing his eyes up to the ceiling as if searching for something lost between sofa cushions. "Somewhere along here really got you last time..."
"Ack! Dee, stOPit, I'm too - I'm too tired to be ticklish - right nohow!"
Deceit actually did pause to give the doctor a look. "My dear. You are a terrible liar."
At that Emile finally cracked, unable to hold back his own nervous giggles any longer. One of the challenges (or perks, depending on how much of a lee mood he was in) of being tickled by someone who was the literal embodiment of deception (or so he claimed) was his skill in sleight of hand. It made trying to anticipate when and where he would strike virtually impossible. Emile could only press himself as far back into the pillows as he could, drawing his arms up to shield himself more as a reflex than serious defensive tactic.
"Oh, I remember now," the darker man drawled. "It was riiiight about... here."
Emile squeaked again and flinched sideways as long fingers began scribbling into his ribs. Deceit was also a strategic 'ler: he kept track of the precise pressure points that made his victim squirm most desperately, like the bottom edge of the ribcage, for example, or the space immediately above the hipbones. In Emile's case, he'd found places where skeleton met softness were particularly effective.
Of course, Deceit had to dig a little to find them, as Emile was... well, primarily composed of softness. But this only contributed to the stuttering giggles the therapist was now shaking with. And it gave Deceit an excellent excuse to slip a hand under his sweater to get a better feel.
"Dee- DEHEHE!"
"Yes dear?" Though the darker man's voice was perfectly calm, Emile caught a quick twitch in the corner of his mouth, betraying his true feelings. He was loving this.
So was Emile - at least, the part of him that wasn't trying to halt the progression of Deceit's hand against his bare skin. He succeeded only in trapping it even closer to his body. Deceit felt his glove slip off as Emile jammed his elbow into his fingers, and, shooting him a positively evil smirk, began skittering his now-free fingernails up and across Emile's belly.
"AH-aha! STOPPIT!" It didn't help that Deceit's hands were freezing cold. Must be why he wears those ridiculous yellow gloves all the time... Emile's train of thought came abruptly to a halt as Deceit found a sweet spot exactly halfway between the base of his ribs and his bellybutton. The poor doctor crumpled sideways and wheezed with laughter, desperately clutching at Deceit's sleeve.
"Goodness. That's a good spot." Deceit was outright grinning now, unable to stifle it. "Heaven help you if you ever require a Heimlich maneuver."
There was the hint of a waver to the dark side's voice as he (just barely) fought down his own case of the giggles. The man was just. so. cute.
And, unbeknownst to Deceit himself, catching that little waver was one of Emile's favorite parts of their little games. The dark side’s own giddy delight may have been subtle to onlookers, carefully tucked under his usual suave, sly persona, but the therapist was just as skilled at seeing through emotional facades as Deceit was at producing them. Emile could read him like an open book.
And being able to find a crack in the composure of someone so careful to maintain it? Somehow it felt to Emile as if a shy puppy had chosen him as his favorite.
When Emile lost his breath completely, Deceit finally withdrew his hand and patted the rumpled sweater back into place. It took Emile a moment to collect himself, still quivering with soft, hiccupy giggles.
"You're..." he slowly propped himself back upright. "Good... at that..."
Deceit only leaned back with a chuckle of his own. And a very fond smile.
Emile had always struggled to put his work aside long enough to adequately recharge his emotional batteries. But when he needed to forget the weight of the world, at least long enough to get some sleep, Deceit was always happy to help.
After all, it was his specialty.
Rogue-barnes-16 masterlist
"Darlin'!" my friend called the barman attention by hitting the surface of the barcounter. "my friend wants a martini and..." she gave me a knowing smirk before leaning over the counter. "I want your number."
"what the hell Eva?" I hissed, not able to hold back a chuckle. She shrugged, mouthing a confused 'what now', and I turned to the barman. "she'll have wine. Just wine" I remarked.
The boy on the other side of the barcounter nodded whilst chuckling and served us what we had ordered.
"I mean, I didn't think it'd work but okay"
"yeah, sure" I teased her, nursing my cup. "anyways- what are you doing now?" I asked while she turned her stool to face the people behind us, sitting in the booths. "Eva?"
She opened and closed her mouth a couple of times before actually speaking. "So there's that cute blond boy-" she was cut off by my snort, which made her nudge me. "no, listen. There's that cute blond boy and there's that handsome man staring at you shamelessly."
"wait what?" I hesitantly spun my own stool, following my friend's line of sight until my eyes met with a pair of blue ones which belonged to a tall, slim man staring at me. "shit" I muttered, rapidly coming back to my initial position. "he's hot"
"He's your type." my friend stated whilst sipping her wine. "aw now he's all bashful" she updated me, letting out a laugh. "he's no longer looking, I think he saw you staring"
"bitch" I called her, refraining the temptation of looking at the man once again. "he saw you staring"
"go talk with him" she whispered, resting her back and elbows against the edge of the counter. "he seems shy all from sudden."
"I'm-" this time, I did turn around to check on him once again, and damn, he was attractive as hell. "-not gonna do that."
"Y/n are you kidding me right now?" Eva asked rhetorically. "it's not the moment to be shy." she waited a few seconds for me to move, but when I didn't, she took the matter in her own hands.
"Eva-" I tried to stop her but she was soon walking towards the two men across the pub. "fuck"
I followed her form until she reached them, and then my eyes came back once again to the tall man, making me miss completely the way Eva pointed at me.
It was only when the mysterious man started to make his way towards me, that I realized what had just happened.
Before I had time to kill my friend, who now seemed to be very interested in whatever the blond boy was saying, the man was standing in front of me. "hey there, I'm Gwilym"
"Uh hi. Y/n" I replied, giving him an involuntary smile.
"Your... friend, I suppose?" he questioned, trying to hide his nervousness. "suggested me to buy you a drink instead of..."
"...of staring at me?" I guessed, raising my eyebrows at him, the ghost of a smirk forming on my lips when he nodded sheepishly.
"But, since you already have a drink" he shoved his hands in his pockets, taking a peek at the improvised dance floor in the middle of the pub. "do you want to dance?"
"I mean-" I opened and closed my mouth, meditating my answer. "I'm terrible at dancing."
"me too" he shrugged with a sweet smile dancing on his lips. "but it'll be funny, and if you get bored, I can walk you home" he added, extending his hand to me.
"such a gentleman" I stated, taking his hand, at first just to climb off the stool. However, he intertwined our fingers and leaded me to the middle dance floor, just in time to dance a slow song. "after all, I might not step on your feet."
"lucky me" he replied with a hint of humor in his voice, right before resting one of his hands on my waist while the other held one of my own.
We stayed like that for a long while, lightly swinging at the peaceful rhythm of the melody playing on the pub, lost in each other's eyes.
One Year Later
I was sat in my couch, wrapped in blankets and watching The Diary of Bridget Jones, when I heard my main door opening. "I'm in the living room!" I yelled, guessing it was Evangeline.
"Y/n, love!" my eyes opened widely at the sound of Gwilym's voice. "I'm home!"
"wha- how-" I attempted to move from the couch but it turned out to be almost impossible due to the amount of fabric wrapped around me. "I thought you were on press tour still"
"I am" he replied, walking towards me to kneel before the couch where I was. "but I missed you" I beamed at him, and a second later, he had leaned in to place a tender kiss on my lips "and I wanted to give you a surprise"
"awe" my hands left their cozy haven, recently found in the blankets, to hold both of his cheeks and bring him into another kiss, even though if this time we couldn't stop smiling. "I want more surprises like this one"
He then pulled away from me, holding both of my hands with his. "in that case" a mischievous grin made its way to his lips. "I might have another one" I raised my eyebrows, prompting him to tell me what he was up to. "we- the boys and I- were offered the possibility of taking a plus one with us to the Oscars"
I opened my mouth in agape, not because I had the chance to go to the Oscars —I would fangirl about that later—, but because he was offering me to go with him as his plus one.
"Gwilym" a wave of insecurities visibly washed over him the moment I said his name. "okay, first of all, come here" I pulled him up to sit besides me on the couch, and once he was there, rested my side against the backrest to face him. "I'd love to go." I assured him.
He sighed, a somehow sad smile twisting up the corner of his lips. "but?"
"are you sure you want us to be public?" I asked him softly. "because if you're doing this for me, you don't have to" giving him a smile, I prompted myself on my knees to kiss him. "I'm happy now. Evangeline, Ben and Joe know about us and that's more than enough."
"I know, Y/n" he pulled me onto his lap, giving me another kiss. "I know we're happy like this. And" his thumbs rubbed my hips, something that I managed to feel even through all those layers of fabric. "I'm the one who wanted this to be a secret but-" he bit his lower lip, struggling to find the right words. "I mean- we- now-"
I rested my cheek against his chest and leaded one of my hands to the crook of his neck to trace random patterns there, something I knew that would calm him.
"today we had an interview." he finally starting talking calmly "the interviewer asked me about my hobbies." I felt his fingers combing me hair. "and I wanted to say that I love watching TV shows with you on Saturday nights. I wanted to tell her how much I enjoy helping you cooking because I know you'll burn the kitchen if I'm not there" I slapped his chest playfully, earing a chuckle from him. "I wanted to tell her about our Sunday morning runs, and about our romantic escapades."
"sweet" I commented, lifting my gaze to look at him, who had his beautiful blue eyes on me. "and you want to be able to say those things." he nodded. "100% sure?" he nodded again, this time more eagerly. "then I need to find a dress."
"Evangeline is going to need one too" he informed me with a knowing smile on his face. "Ben is going to ask her to go with him."
"how are you so sure she'll say yes?" he snorted and I shook my head, chuckling. "yeah, don't even answer." I attempted to get up, but Gwilym tugged my arm and I fell back on the couch. "I gotta call her, Gwil."
"not now" he hugged me and made us both lie down on the couch. "I'm tired and needy." I let out a laugh, shifting to have my head comfortably laid over his chest once again. "I'm in the mood for cuddles with my amazing girlfriend"
"You're always in the mood for cuddles" I retorted, throwing one of my arms over his torso and tangling my legs with his. Meanwhile, both his arms wrapped around me, one of his hands finding it's way once more to my hair. "okay. Just for a bit"
"as you wish, love" Gwilym mumbled, already drifting off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
"okay guys" one of the coordinators of the staff called our attention. "your turn. All of you go together, but once you reach the middle section of the carpet you can split up, go solo, take pictures or whatever" he stepped aside and prompted us to walk. "first Ben-"
"Jesus fucking Christ. Goddamnit. Fuck. why did I agree? Fucking hell" Evangeline cursed in low voice, holding onto Ben's arm to walk down the red carpet.
"now Joe. Allen, you go next" they both stepped out, and finally, the coordinator turned to Gwilym and me. "Gwilym, your turn."
"ready?" he whispered, securing me by holding my waist.
"yeah I'm just nervous as fuck" I muttered, smiling for the cameras and the paparazzi that were now taking photos of us.
"I'm gonna be honest, I'm so bloody nervous too" I let out a nervous laugh and he did the same right before another coordinator stopped us to stay still a few seconds, so the reporters could take proper pictures of us. "Y/n?"
"yeah?"
"I'm gonna kiss you, don't freak out" I didn't have time to give him any snarky reply before his lips were on mines, his hands holding my cheeks. "You're red" he stated with his eyes still closed.
"you didn't even see me, asshole" I hissed, feeling my whole face burning.
"Don't need to. I know you." he replied, pecking my forehead before letting go of me, for us to face the cameras once more. "Y/n?"
"not another kiss" I warned him, resuming our walk when the coordinator told us to do so.
"No no, at least not now." he leaned on me and whispered on my ear, "I love you"
I spun my face, capturing his lips before replying, "I love you too" with a big beam on my face, that was probably equivalent to the one on his.

Oblivious
Peter Parker x Reader
Summary: Peter had fallen hopelessly in love with you, but you were to oblivious to realize it
----
Peter Parker had a problem.
A big problem.
Somehow amongst all the craziness of becoming Spider-Man and the insane events that took place during homecoming. Peter had fallen crazy in love with his best friend.
He didn't know how it happened. He was so busy with being Spider-Man and when he wasn't he was doing homework or daydreaming about Liz. But once she had moved away and his duties as Spider-Man had calmed down he found himself hopelessly in love with you.
But he couldn't do anything about it.
Because you were his best friend.
And he didn't need to be a mind reader to know you only saw him as a friend and nothing more because of a little problem named...
"Jason," you sighed dreamily. Which recieved an eyeroll from MJ, who sat across from you at lunch. "I think he's probably the smartest and handsomest guy I've ever met."
"I don't think he's that great." Peter muttered.
"Oh please, you've been saying that for like months now." You rolled your eyes, "I supported your crush on Liz remember." You said poking him in the side.
Peter flinched and lightly pushed your hand away, "Yeah, I remember." He grumbled.
"Someone's grumpy. C'mon lighten up, you're my best friend, your opinion matters."
Peter felt a stab at the word friend, and struggled to put a smile on his face. Ned, knowing about his crush on you, noticed his discomfort and tried to pull your attention away from him.
"I thought I was your best friend." Ned asked 'offended'.
You laughed, "You and MJ are my best friends too, but Peter's basically family at this point."
Ouch. You just confirmed his worst nightmare. He had actually passed the friend zone.
Your words even caused MJ (Who obviously knew too) to glance at Peter to catch his reaction.
Peter put on a fake smile that he had learned to perfect after months of practicing and said, "You're right, sorry, you and Jason would be g-great together."
Peter's heart skipped a beat at the wide smile on your face, "Good because I've got some news." Peter noticed a blush rise to your cheeks. "Jason actually asked me out and we're going on a date next week."
"What!?" Peter practically yelled, causing a few people to glance back at your table.
"Whoa, calm down Pete." You looked at him in surprise, "Are you okay?"
"Ye-Yeah, I'm great, c-couldn't be better. So you're going out with Jason now. Everythings great, y-you're dating, g-great- and I, it's getting hot in here-I'm just- I think I'm gonna go now." Peter quickly rushed out of the cafeteria after grabbing his things.
"Oookay, that was like really weird, right?" You asked Ned and MJ.
"That kid is the definition of weird." MJ replied.
"I think I'm gonna go after him, I'll see you guys later." Ned rushed out following after Peter.
MJ put her bookmark in her book before closing it, "I'm gonna go too, I need to talk to Mr. Harrington. And by the way, you're the definition of oblivious." She said strolling out of lunch.
'Okay... what?'
~~
Peter had ran out of the cafeteria and into the bathroom which was thankfully empty. A few minutes later though, the door had opened and Ned walked in.
"Hey man, are you okay?" Ned asked as he looked at Peter who was leaning against the bathroom wall.
"No... It's just- why did it have to be Jason? I can't believe I thought that she might've liked me back, even if it was just a little bit."
"She still could, before you started liking her you just thought about her as a friend."
"Yeah, but she thinks of me as family, Ned."
"Maybe you should tell her how you feel."
"What! No, of course no-" Peter was cut off by the bell. "I'm just gonna go to class." Peter mumbled and walked out the door.
The day continued on but Peter was actively avoiding you and it was really starting to piss you off. You knew something was clearly wrong and it annoyed you that he wasn't saying what it was. One of the points of having friends is to be able to tell them why your upset.
You had continued to try to get his attention but once the final bell rang he was no where to be seen. Sighing, you walked home and texted him.
Then you texted him again.
And again.
But still no response.
It was now 6:00 as you stared down at your phone, you had left 22 messages for Peter and he left you on read.
That was your breaking point. You grabbed your coat and left your apartment and headed towards his. After the 15 minute walk you finally reached his place and knocked on Peter's door, anxiously waiting for it to open. It was then swung open by Peter himself but once he saw you he went to close it, but you shoved your foot between the door and the door frame.
"No, let me talk to you Peter."
A pained expression crossed Peter's face, "...Fine." He opened the door wider allowing you to get through.
You walked in and shut the door behind you, "Okay, what's your problem. You've been acting weird for months now and you were completely insane today. Why have you been avoiding me?"
Peter contemplated on how to answer the question, before he just shrugged, walking away to sit on the couch.
You followed after and stood in front of him, "Peter that's not an answer, seriously, you're my best friend just tell me what's wrong."
Peter bit his lip, "...I just... You don't understand."
"Yes, so help me understand. Ever since Liz moved you started following me like a lost puppy so I just thought it was because you were sad or something, and of course I didn't mind so I just let it happen. But then you started getting impatient and annoyed with me everytime I.." You furrowed your eyebrows, beginning to make sense of everything. "Everytime I talked about Jason..." You slowed down, the pieces finally falling into place. "And then...today you freaked out after I told you about my date...Peter?" You looked up and found him staring at you with puppy eyes, silently begging for you to figure it out. "Do you..Do you l-like me?" You sat down on the couch in disbelief. He averted his gaze and stared down at his hands. His silence confirmed everything. "Oh Pete."
Peter inwardly cringed at the pity in your voice and felt his eyes beginning to water. He sniffled and you felt your heart breaking at the sight. You moved closer to him, "Peter, I love you so so much, but... w-we're fri-"
Peter shook his head, "Please don't say that word. I'm- I'm tired of hearing that word over and over again" Peter's voice cracked as the tears began to blur his vision. "I-I love being your friend and I still want us to be friends, b-but I h-hate being reminded that we c-can never be anything m-more."
You tentatively put your hand on his shoulder and felt him relax very slightly. All he wanted to do was cry with his best friend but what do you do when you're crying because of your best friend. You felt your own tears beginning to build and you put your arm around him. He finally broke and pulled you closer, he buried his face in the crook of your neck and you felt his hot tears on your skin as he sobbed. You ran your fingers in his hair, attempting to calm him down. You started crying with him.
He knew that you had just rejected him but it still felt so right to be with you. Peter hated it. He hated how much he cared and loved you right now. Of course the hate and pain would fade, but right now he just wanted to wallow in it.
"I-it's not f-fair." Peter croaked.
"I know Peter, I know."
But did you? Did you understand the pain of falling in love with your best friend, knowing they'd never feel the same. He would continue to see you and hang out with you and share the same inside jokes you've both been telling since you were in middle school.
Peter cried while you held him, eventually you both laid down and he fell asleep. Nothing mattered anymore except for Peter. Jason and your date next week stopped to matter all together. You've seen Peter upset before, but you were always able to make him feel better. But now, you didn't know how to fix this.
Your head was resting on a pillow that was against the arm of the couch and you began thinking about all the obvious signs that Peter liked you as you played with his hair. Of course he liked you all the stares you caught, all the times where he sat next to you instead of Ned or MJ, his blushing face and stuttering words. He was head over heels and you couldn't get it through your thick skull.
You really were the definition of oblivious.

Hey for your new bingo how about Peter and Ned for the "I'm fine: Narrator they were not fine" prompt. Maybe with Peter coming down with the flu or something and trying to convince Ned that no he's totally fine to hang out then go on patrol afterwards no really. Or something.
I am absolutely not against doing prompts more than once, especially for multiple fandoms and especially for my fav prompts! So thank you anon and I hope you like this story :)
Peter slumps against the bathroom wall as sweat forms on his warm brow. He places a shaky, clammy hand on his cheek and tries to steady his breathing. Peter has been up since four that morning thinking he was going to throw up, but nothing came. Now, he just rests on the cool tile because it’s much more comfortable than his too-warm bed.
May is on a business trip until Monday and Peter just needs to make it through one more day of school. Then, he can relax that weekend, after his patrols, of course. Mutant spider-kids don’t get sick days, especially since crime in New York City never takes a break.
He uses all of his strength to pull himself off the floor and steadies himself against the wall. He feels like the floor is about to come over and swallow him up, but he tries to shake the thought from his mind. He just needs to focus on getting out the door and then on surviving school.
It takes some time, but Peter manages to throw on some clothes and get his backpack together. He’s out the door with a few minutes to spare and makes it to the bus stop right on time. The fresh air even makes him feel a little better, he thinks. Maybe that was all he needed after all.
It was not, in fact, ‘all he needed,’ as he begins to feel worse and worse as the bus snakes its way through the New York City streets. Finally, after what feels like an eternity of bumping and jostling, it pulls up in front of the grand stone steps of Peter’s school. He gratefully gets out, takes a deep breath, and walks inside.
He’s not a foot away from his locker before Ned spots him and comes bounding over with news of all the exciting things that happened to him in the 18 hours they had been apart. His best friend is about to open his mouth to talk about the latest thing he found on Youtube when he stops and takes another look at Peter.
“Hey, man, you okay?” he asks, the excitement draining from his face. It’s replaced by a particular brand of worry, the kind that only comes from being friends with a superhero.
“I’m fine,” Peter dismisses him shortly as he attempts his locker combination. He pulls the door open and deposits his books.
“You don’t look so fine,” Ned presses. “Did you have a big fight last night? Oh! Did you get that robber on Eleventh Street? Or the arsonist that set those fires down on Forty-second? What about the–”
“No, Ned,” Peter replies. “I went home. I studied. I went to bed.”
“What about,” Ned starts and then drops his voice into a whisper, “Spider-Man?”
“Spider-Man needs to study or else Spider-Man has to go to summer school.”
Ned almost laughs at this, but stops himself as his laughter turns into an amused puff of air escaping from his nose. “You’re smart as hell, Peter,” he tells him. “There’s no way you’re going to summer school.”
“Yeah, Math and Science are alright, but tell that to the D I got on my last English paper.” Peter frowns, trying to push the memory of getting that report back out of his mind. He opens his mouth to say more, but his breath catches in his throat and he dissolves into a fit of harsh coughing. Ned swiftly places a hand on his back and it’s only then that the boy can feel the heat radiating off of Peter.
“Dude, you’re burning up,” Ned reports as Peter finishes his coughing with a dry heave.
“I’m fine,” he says again.
“You should go home.”
“I’m fine,” Peter replies more forcefully this time and with a pointed glare at Ned. His friend puts his hands up in surrender and backs off and Peter immediately feels guilty for snapping at him. “Sorry. Long night.”
“It’s cool, man,” Ned says carefully and grabs his backpack. “Well, then come on. I guess we gotta go or we’re gonna be late.” He’s not entirely sure if Peter should be going to class, but he also knows he’s not going to convince him otherwise. Peter just nods, grabs the books he needs and closes his locker before following Ned through the halls.
***
Peter manages to make it through the day. Barely, but he makes it. By three that afternoon, he’s absolutely wiped out and finds himself craving the gently caress of his twin-sized bed. Ned is still a constant at his side. A few times, Peter almost took a dive straight onto the tile floor, but Ned managed to catch him in time. He doesn’t believe for a hot second that Peter is actually okay, but he doesn’t know how to argue with his best friend.
“You should go home and go to bed,” Ned says. “Take the night off. New York can survive without Spider-Man for a day.” It’s those words that bring Peter back to reality as they walk outside the school. He can’t go home and go to bed. He has to make up for lost patrolling time the night before.
“I’m fine,” Peter replies. “In fact, I’m so fine that I need to run home and get my suit! I have a long night ahead of me.”
Ned frowns, noting the paleness on Peter’s face aside from two red flashes on either cheek. “I don’t think that’s a good idea, man.”
“I don’t really have a choice.”
“Of course you do!”
“No. I don’t.”
“Peter–”
“Jesus, Ned would you just leave it?” Peter shouts, attracting attention from students surrounding him. They spare a quick glance at the two and then move on, but Ned is stunned by his friend’s outburst.
“Dude,” he starts, but Peter waves his words off.
“I’m sorry. Look, I’m not 100% today, but I have to go out there because if I don’t, who will? That’s responsibility. That’s my responsibility.” Ned doesn’t look convinced, so Peter adds, “Do you want to come with me?”
That brightens Ned’s face and he breaks into a wide, excited smile. “Wait me? On patrol? With you? You never let me come!”
“Yeah, well consider it an apology tour. Come on, I gotta get the suit.”
***
It takes Peter some time to change into the suit between panting for air and dry heaving, but he makes Ned wait in the living room, so his friend doesn’t notice. Then, the two are out on patrol. Ned has a police scanner on his phone and is reporting disturbances to Peter who judges whether or not he needs to go in and assist.
A little before eight that evening, Peter stops a mugging in an alley a few blocks from his high school. He manages to keep the victim safe while running the criminal in circles. Just as he’s about the tie the man up with his webs, he feels a sharp pain in his stomach. He glances down and sees the handle of a knife sticking right out of his abdomen. Under normal circumstances, Peter would just take the knife out, tie up the criminal, and let his healing factor do the work, but the fever he is sporting makes him panic. He slings a web wildly, manages to catch the edge of a balcony, and is slung through the air. He lands on the other side of the alley, giving the mugger a chance to escape.
“Peter!” Ned’s voice rings through the built-in speakers. “What happened?” But Peter can’t find the words to respond. He’s too busy fumbling with the handle of the knife and trying to breathe. Ned calls his name again, but Peter barely hears it. The edges of his vision become spotty and he faintly hears Karen say something and then the sound of a phone ringing lulled him into darkness.
***
Peter feels warm. Not the intense heat he felt before, but comfortably warm. He wants to stay here in this state forever, but he soon becomes aware of an incessant beeping that pulls him from the comfort. As his senses come back to him, he feels the prick of something on the top of his hand, smells a particularly sharp sanitized scent, and hears the beeping of a few other machines. He knows immediately where he is and that knowledge makes him want to stay asleep forever.
“Alright, kid. I know you’re awake,” a not particularly angry, but not very friendly voice says. Peter slowly pries his eyes open and blinks the blurriness away. He glances up and finds himself looking at Tony Stark, who looks tired yet agitated with his arms crossed over his chest.
“A one-hundred and three-degree fever and Mister Genius thought he could go to school?” the man asks with one eyebrow raised. “And then go on patrol?”
“I was fine!” Peter insisted.
“Try again.”
“I thought I was fine.” This earns him a pointed look and Peter sighs heavily. “Okay, I’m sorry.”
“You’re damn right you’re sorry. What the hell were you thinking? You should have been at home in bed with your unnecessarily hot aunt taking care of you.”
Peter makes a face at the idea of his aunt being hot and then says, “But I need to go on patrols every night. Crime doesn’t stop just because I’m sick.”
“And if you push yourself too hard you’re not going to be around for the rest of the days that there’s crime in New York,” Tony responds. Peter slumps back further against the pillows, knowing his mentor is right. “Thankfully your friend Ted was there.”
“Ned?” Peter asks, sitting back up. “Where is he?” For the briefest of moments, Tony’s expression softens as he steps aside. As he does so, Peter notices Ned sitting in the chair behind Tony, slumped over as he snores.
“Kid wouldn’t let me leave without him,” Tony said. “And I normally wouldn’t let anyone over here but he was so damn insistent that I couldn’t just take you and go.” Peter nods slowly as he stares at his sleeping best friend. “You owe him.”
“I know,” Peter replies.
“Good, you’re not as stupid as you act.” Tony takes a step back and moves towards the door. “Get some sleep, you’re with me the rest of the weekend. Red can stay too.”
“Ned,” Peter corrects. “And thanks.”
“Oh, you won’t be thanking me after I’m done with you this weekend. Just wait until tomorrow when your fever’s down. My lab needs a cleaning.” And with that, Tony disappears.
Peter slumps further into the pillows and looks over at Ned. With a friend like him, Peter knows he’ll always be just fine.
