I find it so funny that in Homecoming, Tony was all like “my father didn’t give me a lot of support so I’m trying to break the cycle and be supportive of you”
Had all his suit features be called “baby monitor” and “training wheels”
Used his angry dad voice when he said “this is where you zip it, the adult is talking” and “because I said so >:(“ when Peter talked back and was like “teenagers 🙄” to the woman handing out leis.
Then told Peter that if he got hurt in anyway, Tony would feel like he was responsible for that…
Like that guy never even hanged out with that kid one on one yet by that point and was already like “you’re my son now and I’m gonna support you and look out for you.”

i just noticed the fact that tony said “build up your game, helping little people like that lady who bought you the churro.” when he was asking peter to refrain from tailing the vulture after drowning because of it, which means he acknowledged peter’s voice mail sent to happy even when happy didn’t. Crying in the club.

The scene in spider-man homecoming where Peter is trapped under the rubble of the building and yelling for help is one of my favourite angst scenes of all time.
Hello! Please, hey. Hey please I'm down here. I'm stuck, I can't move. I can't -
I adore it so much because it's a great culmination of the movie's message; Spider-Man is really just a kid with the weight of too much responsibility on his back that he's learning to shoulder all on his own. And yeah, that's scary, and no, he shouldn't have to carry all that by himself.
In that moment Peter sounds absolutely terrified. You can hear his voice, so young, breaking because he's about to cry. He genuinely believes he's gonna die there, trapped and alone at 15.
It's gut-wrenching and I love it.

rewatching spider-man: homecoming really forced me to realize that peter was a child.
fifteen.
i know people talk about children vigilantes and how morally wrong they are; but no one talks about how it’s such… a strange and surreal thing to read or watch.
fifteen isn’t even old enough to get a license or a permit in some states; let alone a job. fifteen is when you’re getting into awkward relationships and you’re getting used to how high school is. fifteen is when your math test is the most important thing in your life. fifteen is when you’re finally becoming independent and beginning to grow into your adult body.
fifteen isn’t when you risk your life for strangers. fifteen isn’t when you lose everyone around you because you were forced into a life you didn’t deserve. fifteen isn’t when you have to miss out on life experiences because you need to “save the day” because the adults around you WON’T LISTEN. fifteen isn’t when you step in for the adults in your life. fifteen isn’t when you make life altering decisions for yourself.
peter parker was fifteen.
that’s INSANE!?

Tony here called Peter to tell him that "Great things are about to happen". But then he heard the ferry and was like, what is happening.
And my theory is that Tony was gonna tell Peter to move upstate with him and give him the new suit, maybe tell him about his room in the compound. I mean Tony wouldn't sell the tower and move upstate and leave Peter there.

It’s been almost a year of struggling to write, and I finally published a fic again. It feels good to be writing again. I’m trying to be kind to myself and not put any pressure on myself to write anything unless I feel inspired. Anyways I wanted to share this here in case anyone was interested in checking it out.
School Daze
Peter Parker & Tony Stark (Irondad)
Summary:
“Wait a second, you said he got a lucky hit…” He sees the moment Ned connects everything. “A knife? You said it was a small thing! Please tell me you’re not walking around high school with a stab wound!” Ned’s voice raises.
Peter hesitates, and Ned gasps.
"Oh my—”
Wincing, Peter tries to argue, “It’s barely a stab wound—”
“—god! Holy shit!”
---
Peter gets hurt. He then proceeds to go to school like normal. Was it his wisest choice? Probably not. Especially when he's on the verge of passing out during decathlon practice...

The only thing I really disagree with in most spiderman x reader fics is when they come to you all wounded because they know you’ll help or whatever but like… my guy… you should probably go to the hospital. I am afraid of blood. I will likely throw up if you show me that gash on your side. Please seek real and true medical attention because you will die if you come knocking on my window at 3am

one of the concepts that is hard for me to grasp up to this day is the fact that mcu!peter parker is not as optimistic as he was during homecoming. i get it—that’s literally the whole point of his character development in the franchise, to become the selfless neighborhood hero we always knew—but seeing him think about how the ‘spider-man’ gig is something he’d love to do in a lifetime, not knowing it would jeopardize everyone he loves and became one of the most painful decisions he has to make Two Years from how old he was during the first film ...... he was just a kid.
