i had to read the kazuha and scaramouche lore because i watched the irodori festival cutscenes on youtube and i still had no idea what the whole issue with the raiden gokaden was. only to find out there’s all this lore about scaramouche’s friend/kazuha’s ancestor from 500 years ago hidden on the flavor text for husk of opulent dreams artifact set and katsuragikiri nagamasa, and random notes you can find on tatarasuna. i don’t know which is worse: putting important lore in limited time events with no reruns or putting important lore in flavor text that no one reads.

Between it finally actually raining and genuinely feeling like shit, I don't have to go to leave the house today! The real question now is how long it takes before I give up sitting at my desk and just go collapse on the couch with the Switch...

Ultimate Genshin Tournament: Round 4
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Propaganda below cut
Venti:
He straight up calls the Traveler "his warrior" in his teapot lines, plus he's like our long-time friend??? He basically asked us out for drinks during the alchemy event???? You can choose to bring him up during the fight with Signora????? He's the best idc idc
He. Is. Amazing. So many layers, so interesting... So much trauma and potential... Not to mention look how AWESOME he is generally!!! He's kind and caring towards everybody, and also carefree and mischievous!!! How can you not love him?? VOTE FOR THE GREEN BARD
Please I can’t he’s TOO GOOD for this world- he’s just a little guy!! Like he cares for his nation and the people of Mondstadt SO MUCH it hurts when people say he doesn’t. Like, my poor trauma-driven little mega-uber-powerful war god who’s actually just a tiny little wind spirit honoring his dead friend!!!! I love him so much ALSO it was just his birthday soooo
he hasn’t had a major in game appearance since the poetry event w Hu Tao but his lore means he gets brought up almost literally every patch. he convinced a bunch of the most lethal women in Teyvat to have tea in his lands instead of screwing him up. he would always always always rather take the path of least resistance. he’s the three time best bard in Mond. he never seeks glory, only wishes to offer it to others. he was a better father to Diona than her real one five minutes into meeting her at the potion making event. he gives the blind girl glory whispers of what the world looks like so she can navigate. when a nun of his own church denied his identity he decided to run a heist to steal back an item that is only holy because it is his. he keeps his misery and loneliness trapped within, and does his best to bring joy to every Mondstadter and every person he meets. how can you not love him?
Kaveh:
This poor sopping wet man has captivated me. Look at his stupid mullet. I swore I would become a Kaveh main when his drip marketing came out and I have let him down. He's broke. He's in a relationship(?) with Alhaitham. He can't stop helping others. Hoyo trapped him in the basement again cuz where is his rerun??? Where is it? Where is my boy?
He's the sweetest little man and look at his stupid little face. He looks like a soggy pathetic kitten sitting in a soggy cardboard box on a street corner. AND he has a husband. So.

When she's not on the clock, she can usually be found hanging out with her best friend or roped up in her room watching reruns of her favorite Japanese series, Neo✦Star Warriors. Regardless, whether she's on a delivery route or taking on the town, you can always count on Gigi for anything, as she is always willing to lend a helping paw.

Hyrule's Final Stand Masterlist
Trial of the Zora Armor - Chapter Eight
*Almost a month afterwards*
Zelda slipped her tiara onto her head and looked at herself in the mirror. She looked pregnant. Her bump had become large enough that anything she wore showcased her baby curves, even the loose white maiden's dress that she was wearing, having just returned from the Spring of Power, no longer hid her bump under its natural flow.
"Fifteen weeks, Zelda, twenty-five more to go." She told herself, then rubbed her belly. "Think we can do that, Little Hyrule?"
"I don't know, Little Hyrule may not be able to wait that long to meet you." A familiar voice replied, Prince Link. His sideburns had been straightened somewhat, his dirty blond hair, now adorned with a diadem that somewhat matched Zelda's tiara, was put nicely into its usual ponytail. Even though he wore a stunningly formal white suit with the Royal Emblem and Triforce emblazoned on it, his usual blue earrings were still present in his ears. He bent down to Zelda's stomach, rubbing it. "Is Momma giving you a hard time?"
"I am not. If anything, good Sir, you are giving us both a hard time." Zelda replied in a mockingly regal voice.
"Little Hyrule, Momma's being mean to me..." Link playfully whined to their baby.
Zelda rolled her eyes. "You're such a child, Link."
"No, this is a child." He replied, patting Zelda's bump gently. "I am a goofy husband-slash-man-servant." He threw in an overdramatized bow.
"You've got that right!" Zelda laughed.
"Alright, you two, play nice." Urbosa jokingly called. "You don't want the baby to think that is how you interact with everyone."
"I suppose not." Zelda replied, looking behind her at Urbosa.
Link rose slowly, standing close to his wife.
"My, don't you two look fancy?"
The royal couple turned to the mirror. With Zelda in her tiara and Link in his matching diadem, both in pure white outfits, they looked downright divine.
Link grabbed his wife's hand, only strengthening the image.
"The Prince and Princess of Hyrule Kingdom." Zelda breathed.
He leaned close to her ear. "Man, really makes me wonder whether you've got a boy or a girl in there."
"We'll just have to wait five more months to find out."
Urbosa chucked. "When you two are done being adorable parents-to-be, His Majesty wants to see you both down in the ballroom."
"Oh?" Zelda asked. "So soon? ...Well, let me change and then we can be off."
~~~~
"Oh, Princess!" High-ranking guests marveled as they saw the obviously pregnant Princess Zelda. "Congratulations!"
As it was customary for a woman of Hylia's line to publicly wear white while pregnant, Zelda was now in a long white dress that had been tailored in a way that made up for the lack of a corset, walking slowly alongside her husband. She waved back at as many guests as she could, always keeping her right hand on her bump, but it wasn't long before she became overwhelmed.
"That's enough!" Link told some, waving them away before Zelda got overstimulated and reacted either in violence or by becoming ill.
"Thank you, Link." Zelda whispered, he held her left hand tightly and nodded as they walked further into the ballroom and up to a banquet table with King Rhoam, all the Champions and a few of their dignitaries seated at it. "Father." Zelda bowed her head monotonously as one of her father's guards pulled a chair out for her.
"Zelda. Link. Welcome." Her father replied with the same monotony. "It's a pleasure you could make it."
They bowed their heads once more.
"Your Highness Princess Zelda," One of the Gerudo began to address which non-enthroned royal she was referring to. "You look particularly radiant tonight."
"Thank you, Esosu, you're quite kind."
The night was filled with soft silences, eloquent formalities, their resulting gratitudes and small discussion on affairs of each kingdom. Zelda, for the first time since finding out she was pregnant, was able to stay through the entire banquet, which pleased Rhoam. As the banquet settled down and moved into the dance, everyone was allowed to speak more openly, moving onto the airy pavilions.
"Is the baby here yet, tiny princess?" Daruk asked, still not fully understanding the whole concept.
"Has it been eight months since the wedding, Daruk?" Revali asked snarkily. "Does Zelda actually look like she's had her baby?"
"Uh... no?"
"Then that's your answer."
Zelda placed a hand on her stomach again, now holding it at about her peak. "Now, please, there's no need to argue."
"I'd thought you've learned some respect by being a Champion." Khosha remarked, her figure swollen in a way that resembled Zelda's. "I guess I was mistaken."
"Great. Is this the 'all high-ranking pregnant women turn against a Champion' part of the night?"
"Maybe you wanna be nicer to Khosha and Zelda? One packs a punch and the other's your wife." Daruk suggested.
"I have to be nice and civilized all day back home, I just want to have a nice, pointless duel and let loose a bunch of words and arrows to get it all out of my system."
"I know how you feel." Link admitted, surprising everyone.
"You wanna go one-on-one?" Revali patted Link's shoulder.
"No!" Both their wives protested. "I refuse to let either of you partake in such gratuitous violence!" Zelda declared. "It is improper for the Champion of the Rito to engage in such childlike behavior against a member of the Royal Family!" Khosha added.
"Aww, but honey..." Both Link and Revali whined.
"How about a compromise?" Impa asked. "The dads-to-be need to blow off steam and... not be dads-to-be for a moment, but I agree with Princess Zelda and Lady Khosha, such senseless brawling should not take place; all on account of your statuses, location and this last fact: your wives are pregnant!"
The husbands and wives looked at each other for a while.
"I know you've set aside so much to take care of me, and I know you must let out your frustration and energy somehow... but you two almost hurt each other terribly the last time." Zelda shook her head out. "I'd worry myself sick for the both of you..."
"We get it." Khosha said, almost remorsefully. "You're both warriors, chosen for a great battle... and that burden is hard to handle... we're hard to handle..." Khosha closed her beak and turned away, her head feathers flying in the breeze like Zelda's hair and dress. "We're pains in the neck... we know..."
"Neither of you are pains." Revali consoled, Urbosa reacting with surprise. "You're both blessings from Hylia herself."
"We consider ourselves blessed in that regard. Not every warrior has a strong wife to go home to." Link walked over to Zelda and cupped her face. "It's been tough, having to go from country knight to regal prince in nearly the blink of an eye... but I love you. So, if it would hurt you, I'll find some other way to let off steam."
Revali went over and hugged Khosha as well, which no one expected. "A Rito man is raised as a warrior, but sometimes I forget that warrior is still a man, someone who must lay down his arms to tend to his songbird."
Watching the dual tender moment made tears spring to everyone's eyes... including the expecting moms.
"My apologies..." Zelda began, voice cracking as she and Khosha fanned their teary eyes, but only succeeded in breaking down further.
"Stupid hormones..." Khosha finished, sobbing.
"Don't discount yourselves just because you're pregnant." Urbosa told them. "Your feelings are still just as valid."
"But we don't actually feel this way, we just can't stop!" Both of them wailed.
"Come here." Link pulled Zelda close.
"I-I thought this was... supposed to stop..." Zelda sniffled out.
"Your hormones are probably gonna be a hot mess until the baby's born... the only thing that was supposed to stop after three months was the nausea." Link massaged her back.
"If you need me to take her while you and Revali go blow off steam, I can." Mipha offered.
"I think we're gonna stay here until they're alright. If we leave when they're still high off hormones then we all end up hurting worse later. Found that out the hard way with Mrs. Divine Beast there." Revali added. "Plus, we're not in any rush... this time."
"I'm fine, I'm fine." Khosha insisted, able to stop her tears.
Zelda stuck her face into the crook of Link's neck, breathing deeply for a few seconds. "Okay..." She backed away. "I'm fine now."
"Sure?"
She nodded, wiping the remaining tears from her eyes. "I'm just fine... I promise this time. How about I call an escort to take you and Revali down to the training arena?"
"Hmm, not a real fight like I had in mind, but it'll also let me go crazier, so why not?" Revali replied. "That good with you, Prince Knight?"
Link rolled his eyes. "Call me that one more time and you're nothing but Ravioli."
"At least my insulting nicknames are clever, I don't know why you all decided on that asinine one."
"Goddesses." Impa muttered. "Will you two please save it for the arena? You've shown little respect for the dignitaries or Her Highness by bickering!"
Urbosa nudged Zelda's shoulder. "Go ahead and call a guard, little bird, it's obvious they wish to go down."
She nodded, then dragged Link and Revali off to where a knight was standing guard. "Sir Knight, if you would please escort my husband and Champion Revali to the training arena please."
A look of surprise flashed across his face, he got onto one knee clumsily. He nodded while bowing before rising to his feet, nodding at Link and Revali before they headed out.
Heading back, she looked back at the hall they had walked into and gripped her stomach with both hands.
"You've done a brave thing, little bird." Zelda snapped her head back to Urbosa. "I know it's hard letting him go off, but it's the right thing for him and you know it."
"Why is it so hard?"
"Because he's been your shadow for almost two years now, you two haven't spent much time apart, especially in the last month." Urbosa touched Zelda's hands. "And carrying his child doesn't make it any easier."
Zelda nodded and they headed back to the group.
"Are you feeling any better, Zelda?" Mipha asked.
"I'm not sure right now."
"It's alright, Princess." Khosha assured, wrapping her wing around her. "If I wasn't so used to me and Revali being separate forces I would feel the same way."
"...Thank you, Khosha."
She patted Zelda's back. "No worries, momma." They smiled at each other.
"I don't believe I ever asked, when are you due to lay?"
"Not long at all..." Khosha's eyes rolled upwards as she did math in her head. "Actually, it's the week of your birthday."
"That is soon."
"When is your little one supposed to come along?"
Zelda looked down at her stomach. "Well I'm fifteen weeks now, so... getting close to halfway. Link said I'm close to five months... he understands the math on this better than I." She chuckled in embarrassment. "About four and a half months, perhaps?"
"How sweet... have you felt them move yet?"
"No, not yet... although I don't believe I'll be waiting much longer."
"You don't look like it."
"Your Highness!" A female voice called out.
"My apologies, Khosha."
"No worries."
"Purah? Is something the matter?"
"Oh, there you are! I had seen Linky but didn't see you around... aaanyways, your father would like to speak with you in private."
Zelda moved the hand on her stomach in a rubbing manner. "Yes, Purah."
"Something the matter?"
"I am just fine."
Purah nodded and they walked to the pavilion where the King waited. "Good luck, Your Highness."
Zelda's frown became a little deeper before walking inside. "You requested my presence, Father?"
"Ah, Zelda, yes." Her father turned towards her, then seemed to take notice of both her hands being placed on her stomach. "Are you in a manner of discomfort?"
Zelda's eyes widened in surprise.
He was asking her how she was feeling?
"I am well," She began after a stunned silence, stammering slightly at the beginning. "just tending to the bond between me and my little one."
King Rhoam sighed. "Zelda... you are becoming great with child, a life other than your own is impacted by your decisions."
Zelda's hands tightened over her bulging belly. Was he seriously trying to harp on what she was doing wrong during her pregnancy? He had denied for almost three months that she was pregnant, then berated her in front of the whole kingdom for being so... now he was scolding her for not rolling over in pain?
"Where's your husband?" Rhoam asked in a judgemental voice. "Several guards have spotted you away from him."
She took a deep breath to calm herself down before her reply. "Father, he needed a moment away. He had reached his limit on formalities and became quite rowdy. I sent him to the Knights' Arena with Champion Revali to reset before he made a fool of himself."
He gave her a highly disapproving look, which hurt her and made her panic. "Zelda..." He began in a tone Zelda was familiar with, she knew she was due for another round of scolding. While she was certain he wouldn't hit her, for it would likely kill Hylia's next descendant, she knew what she was in for.
"Father, what else was I to do?!" She took her hands off her stomach to begin shaking them in a pleading manner. "Link was about to get into a fistfight!"
"You married that man."
She touched her chest with one hand, letting the other drop to her side. "But I am not his mother! He is older than I!" She shook her head a few times before looking back at her father. "I am the mother of his child, not him!"
"Enough with the excuses, Zelda! Every time you've enough excuses to justify Calamity Ganon! How long do you plan to run from your duties, as Princess and now as mother?"
Zelda clenched her fists, but she made a vow that she would not strike him as he had done to her. "I'm doing all I can to fulfill them, I have told you this! How long do you plan to ridicule me? Ever since Mother's death, you've looked upon me as if I'm defective!" She made a wide motion to her pregnant belly. "Look at me! Do I look defective?!" Her breaths became loud and labored.
"A prostitute could bear a child!"
"Then do you call this descendant of Hylia the child of a mongrel?! I am not defective! I'm trying everything I can to awaken this power!" She stomped her foot on the ground, feeling the weight she'd gained within the last month or so shoot down her leg. She suppressed a grimace.
"Princess Zelda of Hyrule Kingdom!" He snapped. "Stand down immediately!"
"No more!" She hollered before storming out, her breaths loud and odd while her gait strange due to her rounded stomach. She swung her arms in an overaccentuated motion as if she needed more momentum to keep herself going.
The knights standing guard at the entrance, her father's personal guard, gasped and got onto their knees as she passed, then stood and shrugged once she had left.
Quickly, she headed towards the Knights' Arena to find her husband, the only person in all of Hyrule who would be able to talk her down.
[seokjin x reader] [1.4k+ lovers to strangers; breakup!au; angst, smut]
Now That We Don't Talk | Not In The Same Way | High
There's nothing left to miss Except the shots I take and phone calls from you
-
You have been glued to your bed, watching reruns of FRIENDS and overstuffing your face with low-fat soy ice cream. You were allowed to wallow, but you had a red carpet to attend in a couple of weeks.
You feel miserable, but you can't look it, so says your manager. She already had a fit when she saw the dark circles under your eyes—courtesy of losing sleep at night and crying like a river by day.
And so, you make amends by finally doing something active. Walking on the treadmill, your hand balances a pint of ice cream and the other finally turns on your phone.
It's been a week since you've turned off your phone, two since your bar brawl scandal blew up on social media, and three since you and Seokjin broke up.
The first thing you see is the bold 23 encircled in glaring red on the message bubble icon. Thinking nothing of it, probably spam messages, you open the app only to be greeted by messages from close friends and families—all with the same question, but in different tones: are you okay?
You almost burst into tears again.
You didn't think this would be you—a living cliché of a heartbroken woman in her late 20s, cutting people off all because of one guy.
But Seokjin isn't some guy.
For a time, you believed he was the one. Despite hiding from the spotlight and keeping your relationship on the down-low, the moments you shared together were genuine and wholly yours.
Until they weren't, of course.
Stardom had its price. One canceled dinner turned to two until it wasn't just dinner he was missing, but special shared occasions you once celebrated were forgotten, too.
As he gained attention, more people wanted his company. You were no longer a priority and you never dared to use that against him. Hard as it was, you understood that his time wasn't entirely yours. Hell, he missed lunch dates with his mother, too. But what broke your heart was finding out it wasn't just his time you shared with other people, but his devotion, too.
Your phone ringing breaks you out of your stupor. Blinking your tears away, you see Seokjin's name on your screen.
You freeze. And so do your legs that were walking on autopilot. The next thing you feel is your body hitting your gym floor—phone screen cracked and the pint of ice cream rolling beside you.
-
This is bad. Oh, so bad.
You'll surely get in trouble if your manager finds out where you are.
And who you are waiting for.
You were supposed to visit your doctor after falling ungracefully from the treadmill earlier, instead you rushed to buy a new phone and waited for Seokjin to ring again.
The familiarity makes you sad and laugh in pity. You waited for Seokjin a lot. You waited for the perfect time to reveal your relationship, waited for him to remember your anniversaries and dates and come home, and you waited for him as he lived out his celebrity life with the hope he would remember the life he has with you.
You had a reason to wait for him then. And here you are again. Waiting.
You hear a patterned knock—one that you know so well. It's something you and Seokjin came up with when one of you would sneakily visit the other.
A rush of nostalgia tugs at your heart. You wish you were meeting as lovers. Just like old times. But no, this isn't like before, is it?
You ponder on not opening the door. All it takes is a few steps back to the bed where you can sit yourself down and wait for him to leave. But before you could convince your feet to move, you heard your name called behind the door.
It sounded like a plea.
Seokjin was always compelling. You always, somehow, gravitated towards him. You think that was what lasted you to stay with him for a long time, despite the love and trust fading away with the years. You hesitantly open the door halfway, eyes downcast and you mumble his name, ready to make your own plea—please leave. If he truly loves you, he has to let you go. He already walked away from you countless times, now would be the one time you would be thankful if he does it again.
But he doesn't.
Seokjin pushes the door to fully open before he quickly enters the room. As soon as the lock clicks, Seokjin pulls you in for a kiss.
His lips invade yours—tongue dipping in the caverns of your mouth, teeth clashing and you eventually return his kisses. Lust clouds the room, eclipsing your rationality.
The hundreds of reasons you shouldn't be here with Jin aren't lost on you. Your friends and manager drilled those in your head and it made sense. But something about Seokjin and his hands pulling at your clothes was simultaneously tearing down those walls of reasons.
Seokjin's hard body collides with yours on the bed as soft as his lips that were now making its way down to your core. You grip his hair and push his head to rush him. The sound of him chuckling comes first, followed by a wet lick to your pussy.
You stutter out his name, back arching as your grip on him tightens. In return, he grabs your thighs and pulls your hips even closer to him. His head burrowed deep in you and his fluffy bangs tickle your pubic.
"M-missed you," his words came out garbled. His mouth busy sucking your clit as he works his tongue inside your pussy.
You missed him, too. Still do. Even though you've got your eyes on him, in the same room as him, and parts of your bodies are pressed so close, not even air could pass through, you still miss him.
But you doubt he misses you the same way.
"Ride m-my face," he commands, words escaping his mouth between hungry laps at your core.
Everything that follows is muscle memory. You gyrate your hips, smearing Seokjin with your spurting arousal and you feel the vibrations from his groans. Your legs remain locked in his arms. Your lover of the night sits up and tugs at his damp brief. You drool at the sight of his long hard thick cock springing free.
However this night ends, you would relish the feeling of having him inside you again.
Seokjin plunges his dick until his balls hit your ass. He was quick to silence your moans with his lips, hotel sheets cloaking the skin slapping against skin. The only thing giving you away was the loud thuds of the bedpost against the wall, going in the same rhythm as Seokjin thrusts his cock into your pussy.
You cry out his name and a series of love confessions follows, "I still love you, Jinnie," you cry out. He thrusts harder and faster with replies of ‘I know's’.
But does he really know, you wonder. You note the lack of alike sentiments—no, I love you too's, like he would respond before.
Stuck in the haze, you let the uncertainty linger. You take it as he fucks you like he still loves you too.
Your arms remain in a tight embrace and your lips glued to each other's necks, breathing each other in.
Like lovers do.
-
You're awakened with a tickling feeling on your cheeks—perhaps a morning kiss, much like the smooches Seokjin showers you with in the morning.
With eyes still closed, you blissfully hum as your arm stretches across the bed. Your hands are expecting to reach a warm body but they hang in the air as you open your eyes to peek. Your limbs drop as quickly as your heart does.
A dejected sigh is all you could let out. You think you've been dried out from the past few weeks of crying.
This is pathetic, really. You feel pathetic and start to pity yourself even more. You don't know why you could still believe he called to get back together. If there was one thing you learned from the recent months you and Seokjin spent—those months leading to your fallout—you'd know he's no longer the person you fell in love with.
Your friends were right. By the end of it, you turned into just another body who warmed his bed. Or in this case, wet his dick.
And so you make a decision. You're not sure if you're strong enough to follow through with this.
But all you know is this—right now, as a start—you push yourself to remember Seokjin as the man who shattered your dreams and left you alone to dust the smithereens.
The next time your phone rings and Seokjin's caller ID pops on your screen, you deliberately miss his call.
Be sure to watch the season 2 premiere of Moon girl and Devil Dinosaur because the show is in danger of being cancelled
Yeah, everyone at the Disney Beat server and I saw a couple of nights ago, and we've all been so fucking ANGRY at Disney. 14 episodes getting dropped all at once on Disney+?! What the fuck were they thinking?!
(Rant under the cut.)
It's bad enough they release batches of episodes at once like what Netflix did with Sonic Prime, but they plan to drop around half a season there to where they're making the main channel do two episodes per week?! You seriously couldn't do weekly premieres on TV and have the new episodes get released the next day on streaming, like what HBO Max did with Unicorn: Warriors Eternal and My Adventures with Superman?! The fact they reveal this on the MGDD Crew TikTok and paint it as a good thing does not help either. "How could you not celebrate" HOW COULD YOU NOT REALIZE YOU'RE BEING SO FUCKING DENSE RIGHT NOW?! LOOK AT THIS SHIT!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You cannot make this up! Streaming as a whole has seriously fucked over entertainment. Netflix made the binge format the new norm, and it's not working anymore. If you thought shows getting shorter-lived hype through binging compared to a weekly release was an issue, the quantity is a-whole-nother problem. If it was 5 or 6 episodes getting added at a time, that would be less infuriating, but this is 14 half-hour episodes we're talking about! That's 308 minutes of straight-up binging Disney expects us to do! No one is gonna binge this many episodes in a timeframe like that! And keep in mind, this isn't an earlier season from a finished or ongoing show; this is a whole new season we're talking about. People who haven't watched MGADD yet or don't have Disney+ and/or cable are gonna get exposed to a fuck ton of spoilers. Not to mention Disney Channel is gonna have to spend 7 weeks catching up to Disney+ with the episodes they air on TV. That will do a serious number on the TV views! And don't get me started on the international releases because I was told MGADD has been delayed so much to where S2 of dubbing is done (hence the promos in Japan), but considering the company's crapass handling of international releases, people won't be able to watch it until a much later date. Oh, and there are also countries that don't have the show despite it being dubbed in their language. Right off the bat, that's international views down the drain and the strong possibility of people in the other countries being exposed to spoilers depending on what they come across and who they're following.
You know what the absolute kicker is? They had the fucking audacity to reveal this shortly after they treated The Ghost and Molly McGee like garbage. No joke! The very minimal reruns they gave it throughout its run, its cancellation as season 3 was being drafted, the shitty promotions, them releasing "Jinx vs. the Human World" on iTunes and "The End" on YouTube ahead of their TV and Disney+ releases. I am not kidding about the last part; because Disney didn't temporarily remove them, SpoilerTV reported both episodes received only 63K and 56K TV views! Now compare that to the 375K views "Watching and Dreaming" got; all three TOH specials weren't released on YouTube or Disney+ until after the DC/XD simulcast premiere! And this is the same show that got shortened by the now retired Gary Marsh! The upsetting part is Bill Motz is blaming himself for putting too much pressure on the fans for watching TGAMM and appointing ambassadors to help promote it. No, it's not your fault, Bill. It's the Disney executives and their shitty marketing strategy's fault your show got cancelled. You care about the show you and Bob Roth created, and you wanted it to do well. The higher ups didn't bother to continue promoting the show after it premiered, and that alone just forced you, the ambassadors, and the audience to do their job for them. They're the reason why it underperformed on D+ and DC. Now, it may potentially happen again with MGADD thanks to them!
Why did they pulling any of this shit was a good idea?! The show got ample marketing, from an advertisement outside the Days of Christmas store in Disney Springs and Moon Girl herself appearing in Disney California Adventure to merchandise such as a Moon Girl Funko, a couple of books, and even a graphic novel! It has received nominations and won awards, and the current lead executive Ayo Davis said season 1 performed well in ratings! Yet they turn around and pull all of this bullshit as season 2 approaches! Seriously, what is preventing you from doing next-day weekly releases and continuing your marketing, Disney?! All your other Marvel shows have gotten weekly releases and so much promoting, and regardless of the reception of each show, they all get high ratings! That even includes What If…?, the MCU's first animated show! Just because MGADD is adjacent/not entirely connected to the MCU and is a Disney TVA show doesn't give you the excuse to treat it like crap post-season 1!
I'm sorry for the ranting, but this multi-whammy has been so fucking frustrating. I have been a big fan of MGADD since the beginning, and like I previously said, it helped fill the DuckTales-shaped hole in my heart. I'm glad that it has such a strong start, and I want it to continue doing well, but the upcoming 14-episode release was such a fucking gut punch. The more the active Disney Beat server memebrs and I ranted and vented about it, the more furious we grew to where a few of us—myself included—were in tears; it is such a horrendous decision the Disney executives made! I'm at least glad the past week has gotten people to talk about how shows are getting treated nowadays thanks to streaming, and Disney Beat tweeting about the 14-episode bomb release announcement got deleted. Unfortunately, the higher ups most likely deleted it just to save face and won't reverse the decision in the end. Regardless, more people are catching onto the pitfalls with streaming and are noticing how shows no longer have the opportunities to build audiences over time. They are treated as nothing more as a means of gaining views and instant gratification rather than a medium made for one's enjoyment. With the Animation Guild's contract having been expired for around a few months, I hope one of their demands is to stop the shows' mistreatments and lack of sufficient marketing because streaming left a devastating and worsening impact on the entertainment and animation industries.
I just got this app Habitica that basically turns your daily life into grinding for an rpg, and I'm really enjoying it! You make a list of to dos and stuff like laundry and homework assignments, and when you do them, you get points that you can exchange for little outfits, weapons, pet eggs, etc. You can be a warrior, mage, healer, or rogue and level up. You can join a little party and fight big bosses like "The Feral Dust Bunnies" by doing your chores and get bigger rewards, which helps me stay motivated because I would rather die than inconvenience random strangers. I guess all the potential rewards change, so it's not boring.
Right now, I've got my eye on these outfits
And I want a pet dragon, but I'm not sure if I want a moonglow dragon or a skeletal dragon. I apparently just missed the koi potion that could make the dragon half fish :/ And I hope they have a rerun of the deer pet so I can Mononoke it up.
