Horus Heresy: On one hand they had a full nine legions of the God-Emperor's Angels of Death. On the other hand, they only even came close to succeeding because of the Istvaan Dropsite Massacre and the Ruin Storm, neither of which would work on the others.
War of the Beast: The Krorks are basically unfallen Orks, the Orks that lived during the War in Heaven. They were from before the Immaterium became the Warp. They were also a complete failure to write a coordinated story, so who knows what they could actually accomplish. Other than the fact they combined a Super-Duper Warboss with a Super-Duper Wyrdboy. They could probably ignore warp storms.
Siege of Vraks: This was kept going by bureaucratic incompetence, which the Imperium has an abundance of.
War for Armageddon: Everyone was fighting everyone. It would only take an extremely small change to completely change how things unfolded.
Badab: Badab was defeated by the shear inevitability of plot. The only way the Imperium could defeat Badab was by... completely retconning everything about Badab. This could only be done by a villainous pact with the ruinous powers. The Tyrant's ultimate discipline was turned into buffoonish villainy.
Black Cruades: 14th time the charm.

just to be completely clear, the amount of military power and political influence Israel has has NOTHING to do with its settlers being Jewish. Israel is a force for American & European interests in the region and they're just doing what America does and allows/encourages its close allies to do.
war crimes aren't considered war crimes when someone America finds useful is doing them. european and american pushback against anyone criticizing Israeli apartheid & genocide is 100% because these crimes are useful to American & European hegemony.
Governments that are deeply antisemitic, like France, aren't suddenly caring about Jewish people. Jewish people, persecuted the world over, don't hold some kind of hegemonic power outside of Israel.
The state of Israel and its attendant brutal treatment of the locals are both incredibly useful to the US, and American hegemony means we're expected to celebrate both.
not bc they're Jewish. this isn't a break in the pattern of western antisemitism and it's not evidence that antisemitism doesn't exist.
it's just like how you could get fired for saying shit against the US war in Afghanistan when i was growing up. it is 100% about US military and political interests (ok slightly western europe too but lbr)

Mm-hmm. Ok. Quick question here, Jimmy: This you?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Return of the Archons (s1 ep21)
The first instance of the Prime Directive! In this episode, Kirk justifies interference due to the cult keeping the society stagnant. Certain members of the planet also aid Kirk and the crew in their plot to overthrow the computer Landru, thinking of them as fulfillment of a prophecy (which is its own issue, the idea that salvation must come from an outsider rather than an inhabitant of the planet itself). Also of note: Gene Roddenberry wrote this one himself! In addition to The Omega Glory! Perhaps the shelved first episode of Star Trek should have gotten a proper editing treatment before making its debut in SEASON 2.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
A Taste of Armageddon (s1 ep23)
The crew was in danger of dying for Eminiar VII's war count in order to satisfy the terms of their centuries long war with Vendikar. Kirk interfered not only to save his crew but to also force peace talks between the two planets at the risk of a violent escalation of the war. (The other issue is: no one was supposed to beam down to Eminiar VII because of their war! Ambassador Fox orders the crew to do so anyways.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Apple (s2 ep5)
Yet again the crew is in danger yet Kirk chooses to do all he can to free them. Kirk himself says, "We owe it to them to interfere," after Spock warns of violating the Non-Interference Directive in doing so. Kirk may have been justified owing to the cult that is present on the planet, but Kirk and Spock both call their decision for what it is.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A Private Little War (s2 ep19)
One of McCoy's finest moments, only for Kirk to be at his absolute worst--the soldier trained for war, the opportunist who will risk an endless and unpredictable war on a planet that neither the Federation nor the Klingon Empire holds rights to and justify it as good and necessary for the inhabitants' survival. The episode itself flat out calls for Kirk to not interfere at the very beginning, yet he does so anyways.
There are more than these episodes that one can argue as violations of the Prime Directive, but these are the most glaringly obvious instances to the point of the show itself naming them as acts of interference.
The T in James T Kirk's name might as well not stand for Tiberius but “The Prime Directive is just a guideline"

my most firmly held but pointless Star Trek Opinion is that the titles for ‘A Private Little War’ and ‘A Taste of Armageddon’ should’ve been switched because come on!
Just picture it, now the episodes would be about
‘A Private Little War’ - two planets are involved in a war they desperately want to keep the federation out of (private) but that they both insist isn’t that bad and is small scale compared to what could happen (little)
‘A Taste of Armageddon’ - a planet who experience death and war on a supremely destructive level (Armageddon) for the first time (a taste).
do you see my vision?!

im not gonna put it in any fandom tags bc im not looking to harsh anyones vibes but like
kinda don't get why fandom is so super into giving aziraphale back the flaming sword and calling it HIS sword and having him do a lot of traditional combat badassery stuff... tbh
i like a little competent badass aziraphale as a treat i love unsettling eldritch vibe aziraphale putting people off etc etc yeah just. idk treating it like an endpoint of his development feels antithetical of the character that he is and how he chooses to be if that makes sense

“The Next (and Final) 24 Minutes”
Tumblr media
“At minute 72 of a confict that began at 3:03 p.m. EST, 1,000 Russian nuclear warheads begin striking America in a twenty-minute-long barrage of nuclear hellfire. One thousand nuclear warheads strike a nation already decimated by 192 Russian SLBM warheads and two North Korean thermonuclear bombs. North Korea's third and final ICBM-launched from the Hoejung-ni underground facility in Hwapyong County, North Korea failed upon reentry.
The barrage of 1,000 nuclear weapons strikes a nation already stripped of electricity and littered with the dead bodies of nuclear bomb blast victims, victims of radiation poisoning, of airplane, train, subway, and automobile crashes, of chemical explosions of floods from burst dams.
There are 1,000 flashes of light, superheating the air in each ground zero to 180 million degrees Fahrenheit.
1,000 fireballs, each one more than a mile in diameter.
1,000 steeply fronted blast waves.
1,000 walls of compressed air, accompanied by several-hundred-mile-per-hour winds pushing forward from the 1,000 fireballs, mowing down everything, and everyone, in the path.
1,000 American cities and towns, where all engineered structures in a five-, six-, or seven-mile radius change physical shapes, collapse, and burn.
1,000 cities and towns with molten asphalt streets.
1,000 cities and towns with survivors impaled to death by flying debris.
1,000 cities and towns filled with tens of millions of dead. With tens of millions of unfortunate survivors suffering fatal third-degree burns.
People naked, tattered, bleeding, and suffocating.
People who don't look—or act—like people anymore.
1,000 ground zeros transforming into 1,000 mega-fires, each soon to be burning over an area of 100 or more square miles.” (p. 276, 277)

Beginning to develop the theory that any time an episode has the strangest endling lines (as in, erring on out of character, dismissive of the serious issues raised in the episode, etc.) it's because a joke got cut and the placeholder dialogue never got reworked for whatever reason. (Source for the original script joke) Like. The delivery of these lines is supposed to be a joke based on the tone and music but given what these lines imply... it just makes Kirk look like a callous asshole for zero reason.

Armageddon Steel Legion for 11th ed
For some reason I have just a feeling that the Armagededdon Steel Legion will get what Cadia got in 9th and if rumours are true Krieg will get during 10th especially if the latter is true. Much that was brought into the game during Codex: Armagededdon becoming plastic with some new things to go along with it.
Tumblr media
Now some of the bits here I am putting are matching it with free index card info from that GW put out so if there was changes I can't find it, as well no idea what changes when the 10th ed codex comes out. Armagededdon Steel Legion keyword units: -Armagededdon Steel Legionnaire, the baseline unit to use. -Armagededdon Steel Legion Command Squad, leads Armagededdon Steel Legionnaires. New things added - Armagededdon Veteran Commissars, Commissars that have fought the more intense battles of the Armageddon wars they have to honour the greatest of them removed their arm after killing an Ork to take their Power Klaw as their own, lead Armagededdon Steel Legionnaries, Armagededdon Ork Hunters. -General Pious Korren, one of their greatest Tank Commanders gets a model that is one to go along with his Shadowsword the Iron Saint giving it a boost, he has also per the wishes of a great hero the Baneblade Fortress of Arrogance.
So new units to get added but don't have the keyword, even though in the lore are part of it like Ursula Creed and Kasrkin don't have the Cadia Keyword even though are part of it in the story. Neutral Guard Keywords Armagededdon Ork Hunters, starting off as a kill team, they would act very much like how one would use the jungle fighters but come with some very good anti-ork skills with the AVC brining out 120 percent of their potential.
Tumblr media
Adelaide Von Strab, the out of wedlock daughter of Herman Von Strab, the 2 cared little for each other, the only she liked was using this connection to allow her to take the officer test to become a Tank Commander. Her skill then got her the position, and the Honours. During one battle she saved the life of Arcadian Leontus, and the two grew close, with this closeness having Herman give her the Von Strab name officially though it didn't mean anything to her. This name did one time bring trouble by the Inquisition after Herman Von Strab betrayal though was proven innocent, is still watched. She would be basically a better Tank commander for the Leman Russ. For look and personality
Tumblr media
So there are 2 more units 1 is Armagededdon connected. One would be Priests of "Saint" Grimaldus but these could be Black Templars, or maybe even Agents of the Imperium if church members are added to it. The other is Savlar Chem Dogs as units, however unlike the the Ork Head Hunters which could be seen to the Steel Legion as what Kasrkin are to Cadia these would be their own/neutral.
Will go more detail with everything but I kind of want to see first somethings like if Agents of the Imperium is the unknown codex, and if Krieg will be in 10th. But from here what do people think? Any suggestions on things that should/could be added?

SRW30 isn’t all too good, but the HayaRyo content is on point. First picture is upon meeting Shin Getter Dragon, and the second is after Go brings Hayato and Benkei to rejoin Ryoma.
