ways to start feeling again

sit in the sun without anything to do, feel the heat of the rays hit your skin, realize that this sunlight has travelled a very long way to reach you

walk around barefoot and try to feel as much of the ground under your feet as you can, notice every rock and blade of grass

This picture pretty much describes how I've been really feeling just lately. I hate having depression. I hate having anxiety. I hate having an under active thyroid. I hate having Fibromyalgia. I hate having other health issues. And now I hate the possibility of having IBS or what ever it is that's causing me so many stomach issues just lately. I HATE HAVING MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES!!! I wish more than anything, that there was a cure for it. So please forgive me if I've been an arsehole recently or I don't reply to messages/phone calls or I just look utterly pissed off and just not myself - No one has done anything wrong to me, it is my mental health playing up big time, it's worse than I've ever had it play me up like this for a good few years. I'm trying my absolute best to see it out and get through it because what I want more than anything, is to get back to my 'normal' self and carry on living. I want to be happy again. All I ask is for everyone to please just be patient with me and show some understanding and compassion because believe it or not, despite the 'hard face dont take no shit' attitude I have; I also need looking after sometimes and having people support me during my dark times. I fell asleep at the wheel in 1984. Was found in the break down lane, head bleeding ,standing and turning . I had 5 broken ribs , 50 stitches to my head . 12 yrs later I would suffer for the 1st time depression at 39 yrs old in 1996 after a divorce. Sick with suicide Ideation, I ingested 250 Tylenol & survived in ICU, chemically poisoned , hallucinations , kidney dialysis. No complications . I was med free 2 yrs later. I met a new love in 1999 & raising step kids . Tragedy struck when my 16 yr old step daughter, was involved in a horrific car accident in 2007 as a passenger with other teens , she survived, but sustained a TBI. I became depressed, isolating & suicidal . I Made a second attempt in 2010 ingesting over 50 Ativan. Rot with guilt & shame. I cried out loud, “I Need Help”. I was on 5 meds, but determined to be med free. I knew I had to do the work , because nobody is responsible for my Health, Financial Status or Happiness, but me. I became med free by Dec 2011. I broke through my deadlock of shame & guilt & began my Inspirational Speaking publicly on suicide, awareness & prevention to help others in 2016 .
