thinking about a whumpee on a forced march through rough terrain

hands tied in front of them, on foot while their captors are mounted, sleeping out in the open, forced to beg for adequate food and water

maybe they're barefoot, a captured royal in silken robes

maybe they're in a torn suit or soldier's uniform

maybe they were stripped at the start, increasing the exposure to the elements, the humiliation

are they a terrified mess from the beginning, or do they try to endure with dignity? how long before they're stumbling, barely putting one foot in front of the other? how long before they fall?

#im particularly thinking about a notorious captain or other commanding officer tbh #his enemies have faced defeat after defeat at his hands and now that they have him they want to make him suffer #they need to travel through the mountains to reach their capitol and -of course- they make him walk the whole way #but then someone suggests taking his boots and someone else suggests stripping him naked #they can't let him -die- before he can be paraded through the streets but they'll get him as close as they can #whump #whump prompt #captive #taken prisoner #forced nudity #nonsexual nudity #military whump #fantasy whump #this also randomly made me think of one of my ye olde whump scenarios #where a small regiment ends up surrounded by the enemy and thwir captain is doing his damndest to keep his men alive #and work out a strategy to retreat #but then the enemy soldiers offer to let the rest go if they turn over their leader and they do without a second thought #so not only is he captured he's also been betrayed and is just trying to keep it together emotionally #to do list #this would also be fun with sahota or any of the crew

In 2019, Rusty Lake had an art and poetry contest to win the graphic novel they recently released then. I submitted this and was one of the three winners! It still holds well and I'm still a fan of it, so to this blog it goes.

This was heavily inspired by cowcowtony's art, the one who illustrated the graphic novel. His art style's infleunce is now embedded into my art style forever lol. Also, in my usual dumb of assery nature, I drew this either during finals or when finals was coming up. But I really wanted the graphic novel and I knew I was never going to get it in any other way since it was expensive and shipping was even more expensive, so I dropped everything to work on this LMFAO

I remember posting IG stories while I was making this, so here they are in their wonderful graininess, with my drawing pens and light table.

The reason of why the men were stripped and forced to walk is unknown. It could be regular robbery or some kind of punishment for doing something bad. It is also unknown if they were stripped by force or they were threatened and took of their clothes by themselves.

Any plans on adding to 'Underline the Red' in the near future? I haven't seen it on the schedule; just wondering.

Underline the Red will become the main story once Underline the Black is finished.

Until then it shares a stage with Underline the Blue and Underline the Gold as a side story. However, I only share chapters from one side story per month, which means whenever Blue is up, Gold and Red aren't, or whenever Gold is up, Red and Blue aren't, etc. For example, it's been months since an Underline the Gold chapter, far longer than anyone is waiting for Red since I put chapters up for that more recently.

So December and January will be rotating to Underline the Gold!

I cannot handle (literally energy wise, I'm not superhuman) actively updating 7 stories at the same time, it's just a fast-track to not wanting to do this job anymore x.x So they do get rotated. Since Red has been updated more recently than Gold, it's Gold's turn.

TL;DR not in the near future, no, as it's rotating with other side stories monthly. But there will come a time where it steps up into the "main story" category, and then it will be Blue, Gold and Silver (or just two) rotating instead, and Red will steadily be put up month by month like Underline the Black is.
