After accidentally overturning his jeep while trying to avoid some children playing in the road, Hawkeye suspects he has a severe concussion and a skull fracture. Despite mentioning how there is no medical proof you can die from going to sleep with a concussion, he’s still afraid he’ll pass out and never wake up again. He spends the next 20 minutes monologuing to the family who takes him in to try keep himself awake and alert until someone from the 4077th can come and get him.

since elrond doesn't want the kingship, galadriel & celeborn are the eldest in middle-earth of the lines of Olwe and Elmo respectively. olwe is older but hes the king of the teleri not specifically doriath sindar so there might be some dispute between which line the sindarin high kingship jumps to, but they very conveniently happen to already be married and so can skip all that and just be twice the headache for sauron

Man idk wot to do about this living situation anymore im so sick of this stupid fucking slumlord and our house falling apart on terrifying levels he’s been aware of for years but also moving would be a nightmare and finding a place that can accommodate my moms disabilities would be a nightmare and my smug fuck landlord is so aware of this that he knows even having the place inspected wljld have it condemned which is a threat bc where tf would we goooooo so even the fact he’s gotten away with god knows how many safety violations can be waged against us fml. And im sorry don’t tell me to look into tenants rights I have and it’s not going to fix shit in the immediate future for us or maybe ever im so frustrated im ready to punch thru drywall except the house would collapse

I should probably make it clear real quick that I don't do writing requests, BUT anon you are in LUCK, because I will gladly use this as an opportunity to PLUG MY LONGFIC WIP!!
May I introduce you to...."The Miracle of Backups"!!!
It has exactly what you're asking for: lots of Maddie and Caspian and Dave!! Lots of Maddspian, Kim-Keyes family fluff, and...some crushing angst too. Because that's how I roll 💖
Here's the summary:
"Unbeknownst to Caspian, Maddie makes a backup of his upload just before his fight with Holstrom. After he dies in the battle, she resurrects him. This does not solve their problems." "A chronicling of twenty years of love and loss shared by one small, damaged family amid a changing world."
So basically, this is a canon-divergence plot where nothing changes aside from the fact that Caspian gets resurrected from backup immediately following the end of episode 6. This immediately sparks another massive existential crisis for our boy, but ultimately means that he gets to live through that whole 20 years he would've otherwise missed. The fic will follow the entire 20 years of this AU, and will probably be around 45 chapters long. I have the whole thing outlined!
Features: digital first dates! the utter chaos of surprise teen pregnancy! A more focused and thorough exploration of human-UI politics! Maddie and Caspian being loving parents!! No one going to therapy even though they really need it! (eventually) Maddspian Marriage! Cool aunt Justine!
Anyways, I'm being silly here, but I'm intending this to be a very serious fic, and my approach to it is staunchly to keep it grounded in Pantheon's themes and Ken Liu's ideas, and in how the characters would realistically handle such a situation, with all the messiness that entails. Lots of love, lots of loss, and lots of messy relationships. It's pretty important that people be aware that this is not a fix-it fic at all.
Anyways again! Dave himself doesn't show up for several chapters, but what I have here for YOU, anon, who is so very kind, is an excerpt from a chapter in the middle of the fic, at around the 10 year mark.
Context: Maddie and her engineering team have just completed the first full version of the upload androids we see in s2 ep7 and 8. Now that they have to beta test it, Caspian is, inevitably, her first choice for this. The Kim family heads to the Logorythms HQ to go see Caspian in the flesh for the first time in 10 years.
Final disclaimer: things will be edited as I start posting the story (SOON...), and the final version may end up different from this one! this is just a fun sneak peak :)

Does anyone here draw in both desktop & mobile? I'm planning to get a galaxy tab at some point and since I don't really have any experience drawing on a (mobile) tablet, I'm curious abt how it feels to draw on one vs. drawing on pc w/ a graphic tablet 🤔
#once I have all my commission slots filled up that's when i'll buy one#i've been hesitating bc i'm not used to spending a big amt for something but honestly it's more of an investment than a simple want#my poor 10 year old laptop + monitor + keyboard setup is the 'pc' im currently using#both the laptop screen & keyboard isn't working properly anymore so i have a separate monitor + keyboard for it#it's pretty laggy most of the time#not sure how it's still holding up#ngl sometimes i'm worried it'll just give up on me & break at any moment#so I kinda wanna have a backup device#anyways! And this is one of those times they took my bike because they are in a hurry to catch the case. I should make a comic that came to this picture here. Well, they are lucky that I had my bike out to buy a new helmet that fits me better both in size and style.
And poor Donald is worried because he lost his hat to the wind and is very afraid they might return to me with a broken bike. With Oswald’s luck, it’s very unlikely, but with Donald’s luck cancelling it, they still have a 40% chance they’ll end up with my broken bike.
If you want me to make a full colour picture with shading, I will…. It’ll take me longer but at least I’ve got their bases for that, saving my time 😉. @thebackupdetectives
