this whole au endevour has had me reading all the wikis for andorians. like “transgender” on andoria would be a blanket term because of the four named “canon” sexes (and the unnamed sexes that would fall “between” these!. and who knows how many genders.) i'm not gonna get into it here . there's a lot to say .

andorians are militant and family oriented. child rearing is very important. they suffer near constant population issues; one cause is that they need four people to have one kid. andorians are traditionally polyamorous and pansexual but they wouldnt use these terms . barney cant cut it in an andorian polycule so barney dating one guy (WHO IS VULCAN!!!) and neither of them wanting kids = traditional andorians instantly dislike him. guy with the biggest target on his back. joined star fleet so people back home would stop eviscerating him. like now when barney loses an antenna he is treated nicely instead of being roasted until it grows back! so cool . andorians in star fleet would be more accepting of untraditional andorian relationships . i.e jennifer lower decks . but gordons a vulcan so thats gonna cause some issues also...

they were both dealt shit cards and born into a culture that doesn't work for them (or gordon finds out later about said culture and see it has no room for him), so waht do? escape to the stars. misfits congregate in star fleet. and barney runs hot like the vulcan deserts and gordon runs cold like the ice moon of andoria and in eachothers arms they are at home and accepted for being the outcasted assholes that they are . . . . . ... and gordon is a chocoholic. love wins.

I adore Rocket and Groot’s relationship. They’re just two weird outcasted creatures of the Marvel universe who found each-other and had each others backs when the whole rest of the galaxy treated them like freaks. They don’t get along all the time and can have their (old married couple energy) arguments, but at the end of it all you can tell they care about one another, even if Rocket is to emotionally stunted for his own good to admit it out loud most of the time. They also have a ton of sweet moments together, from Rocket going through the trouble of traveling to earth, a planet he hates, just so Groot can be happy and (mild spoiler) reunite with an old friend of his in the 2015 Groot comic series, to them going on a beach vacation together in the Rocket Raccoon comics, to Rocket Having an I ♥️ Trees mug in Marvel’s Rocket & Groot Cartoon, to Groot and Rocket straight up saying “I love you” to eachother in the Guardians: Grounded comic, the Gotg Eidos game, and the Telltale game etc. (which now that I think about it, I think rocket has probably said “I Love You” to Groot in most gotg related media more times combined than he has to any of his canon female love interests… so do with that info waht you will…). I could go on, really. Tbh, I do slightly prefer and love Groot and Rocket’s close platonic friendship as is, but I would be lying if I didn’t believe there’s at least more than one universe in the Marvel multiverse where they’re married.

I had a thought concerning New Age AU :D

I spend some time thinking about waht you said.

That the castle Nightmare (and dream and their family) lived in. The royal castle.

Is the tree of emotions.

So. So hear me out.

I wonder that. if the castle is the tree. does that mean it may be a bit sentient.

You said that nightmare can easily change it because he is conencted to it (the apple ritual) but i wonder if the castle itself is kinda sentient.

And VERY mad about how its powers got used.

Maybe the story of the twins. OG story. is connected to the prophecy. But it was a warning.

It was a warning to remain united. To trust your family and to listen to them when they ask for help. To believe them when they notice things about people youdon't notice.

To warn away from going out on your own. warnign away from searching for power that you shouldnt take. (the apples were never suposed to be eaten after all.)

And of those twins the one who ate the apple actually succeed in killing their twin. that the grieve of that moment intensified the emotions based power source into overdrive which caused the one who ate the apple to even gain godlike abilities.

the whole prophecy was a warning.

The royal family that settled in this place. found the story. found the tree (having recovered after the twin who ate the apple died) and instead of seeing a warnign. saw a to do list.

The lessons they took:

power makes you undefeatable

the power makes you stay in control

the best way to gain this power? eat an apple and kill someone important to you.

attachment is a weakness waiting to be used to grow more powerful.

sadly after they grabbed and misused one apple? they got paranoid. if they can use the tree to gain power others can too! so they cut the tree down. and to make sure it could never grow back. build the castle on top of it.

Meaning there is only ONE apple. the one consumed by the one true ruler. and the ruler neeeds to willingly summon their apple/soul to give to eat to the new ruler. to pass on the forbidden knowedge and power through lessons and traditions.

over time the trees influence took over the castle. but because the ruler ate the apple and has a direct connection they can still control the castle.

the tree/castle watches as nightmare broke the cycle. as nightmare refused to hurt ccino (adn so his brother) nightmare, even through fear chose love and trust.

the castle willingly helps and protects nightmare.

and when nightmare lost the apple's power? officially breaking that godforsaken cycle? the castle is just more protective. thorn now protect the castle and the trees around it hide it.

this is of course. lost knowledge. the royal family made sure to destroy the knowledge in fear of someone standing against them.

but nightmare managed to break it still.

and maybe... just maybe... now somewhere deep in the castle. deep underground as a forgotten meadow deep underground. in a beautiful little cave. a new tree starts to grow to truly help heal the land.

but yeah! If you have the tree/castle kinda sentient you can have that the very land was trying to sabotage the old rulers but couldn't do a lot because of the one apple's power and so having to listen.

Okay. I love that this info has been lost completely to time. Like. The only one that's aware is the tree/castle itself.

I think the interpretation I like here is that, the stump is somewhere within the grounds, maybe even in the treasury or armory, but the *roots* make up the building kinda cypress tree style, so as they cut down the tree, the once vibrant life in the old roots turned to stone and was left almost completely powerless. (I am, unfortunately, a sucker for the idea that there was a time that *someone* treated the tree with respect 😔) (Also hense the new young tree sprout growing out of the ground deep in a hidden cavern, because the roots relocated the power to a safer location.)

The castle, desperately grasping for that power back, so no one might mis-use it ever again. And then seeing Nightmare resist its twisted urges (like u said) in the name of love and care? It rips that power away the moment it loses its hold on Nightmare, and takes the seeds of magic away from harm's reach. But... Nightmare isn't upset by the loss. He doesn't go digging to get the power back. He... doesn't dig for *any* power.

Less blood is shed in vain on its land, more plants and ecosystems are allowed to thrive.

And gods, just the idea that the castle grows up plants and trees to better defend itself abd the people inside? This reaction is spontanious and Night assumes it connects to the state of the magic leaving him, but it doesn't harm anyone so ehhh. But the tree is trying to encourage and protect those who helped it without knowing...

And dude the whole story of the og story and both twins dying and then a family misconstrued that entire story into one of power and consumption and betrayal??? Waughhh it's beautiful....

I'm losing my mind here at the storybook level magical healing and forgiveness and learning lessons, I love it so so dearly <3

Also she doesn’t like summer which I assume is bc of the sun and warm weather.

AITA for guilt-tripping one of my knights into marrying a hag?

My (1545M) nephew, who we’ll call Wayne (1538M), would do anything for me. We were hunting with my other knights when I spotted a gorgeous deer through the trees and set out after it. A knight I didn’t know cornered me in a thicket and accused me of giving his lands to another knight when I restructured the kingdom. I managed to bargain for my life by offering him whatever he wanted in exchange. Cryptically, he said not to tell anyone and to return in a year and tell him “wahte women love best in feld and town.” But he let me go, which was good because I was unarmored, and that would’ve been an embarrassing way to die.

I went back to Wayne and explained the situation. He suggested we ride in opposite directions and ask around to poll the populace to crowdsource the answer to the riddle. When we reunited, we compared notes, but I felt like there had to be more, so I rode out again and found possibly the ugliest woman (creature?), “Rachel” (1533F?), in the world. I mean, her nose was snotty, her mouth wide with yellow teeth, and her neck thick. Ungodly. The weirder thing was she said she knew about my deal with the knight and that I would be dead without her help. All she wanted in return? To marry Wayne. 

I said no guarantees, but I’d do my best. It felt wrong to ask Wayne to marry such an ugly woman; I knew he’d say yes to save my life. 

And I told him, and, sure enough, he was like, “I shall wed her and wed her agayn, thowghe she were a fend; thowghe she were foul as Belsabub,” because he’s extremely loyal. Still, I can’t help feeling like I guilt-tripped him into it. 

I returned to the hag, and she gave me the answer to the riddle, which I then brought back to the knight I met in the woods, who told me the hag was actually his sister. Sure. Why not? The knight left, thwarted, and Rachel and Wayne were married. 

She made a big fuss about the wedding being a public affair, even when asked if she’d consider a private wedding to avoid embarassing Wayne, who, to his credit, selflessly went along with her demands. He technically agreed, but his reputation is permanently sullied on my behalf.

So. AITA for guilt-tripping my one of my knights/my nephew into marrying a hag to save my life?

EDIT: It turns out she was cursed to be a hag? And she needed a man to give her agency to break the curse? She’s actually a fayre damosel, and she and Wayne are very happy together. Best wife a knight could ask for. Who knew. Does that make this better or worse?

I was sitting in a chair, my hands and legs were tightly tied up. I didn't know what was happening at the time, they injected some shiny blue liquid into my body and that's how it started....the Mutation.

It hurt's at first but by the time you get used to it, if it's not really a big physical change, it doesn't hurt much.but I was still a kid, my body was....so little and weak

"What did you do to me?!"

I shouted, not knowing why am I tied up to a chair, plus they put something into me something that's starting to feel like a fire under my skin.

"Don't worry little one, it's just a little medicine, you will be better in a moment"

Since the incident with Lex, we haven't spoke to each other (if it wasn't something serious). Not that I care that much, I have better things to do....

Willow came back from somewhere and he's like a whole new person, he was mostly kind person, talkative and caring.

Now, he is strange... I must say, he became cold to EVERYONE, even dr. Reese. That Mother fucker had a CRUSH on her! I tried to talk to him, but he wont even respond! I even tried to push his buttons but nothing happed.

His physical appearance changed too, not that much, but the little details..

He has dark circles under eyes, his veins are darker like he has frickin' dark blood or something, and every night he's going to the laboratory under school.

I at least got it together with Jasper, I think...

"Jasper, please open the door!"

I whispered/shouted, knocking on the door. "Please, I have to talk to you about Willow!" When I mentioned him she finally opened the door. "Dalia! What the hell do you want?" Jas. said still half sleeping. She eventually let me in after I told her my suspicions about Willows behavior.

We talked, almost all night, and not just one. We gathered all info about Willows strange behavior and new routine. This whole situation made us bond. Although I don't say it much....ever, I wouldn't know waht to do without her, she's my best and only friend in this miserable place.

Now we have a day-off school and laboratory things (dr. Reese suggested it to other Doctors to increase good mood, and they agreed) so we now hang out somewhere out off their sight planning what should we do about Willow, it has been over a month since we started to ehm take a closer look at his routine...

YES we were stalking him.. a little, for good cause of course!

We were talking behind a building where are our rooms.

"You know we can't stalk him from afar forever, we have to investigate further."

"I know Jas, but how? There are cameras everywhere!" I replied frustrated. Both of was were thinking for a couple of minutes then Jasper got an idea 💡.

"How about we knock down some doctor, I shapeshift to look like the doc and go after Willow?" "Hm...it would be difficult to find the right doctor that would go to same destination as Willow. And still it would be hard to be unseen by a camera. We know that at some time he goes to a lab and is there all night, they are gonna make me go to a lab tomorrow.. I could try to not black - out, sneak somehow out and hide until is Willows time to go to lab.... How does that sounds?"

Jasper took my idea in for a few seconds and answered: " You know.. it's extremely risky to do that?"

"Yep"

"You would be punished" Jas stammered out.

"What is it?" I responded loudly for Lex to hear me. Then I come out the bathroom to be greeted by Jasper in front of me ( and Lex on her bed sharpening her katana)

"Hey Jas what's going on?"

"I a..... Am I disturbing... something?"

I glanced at her confused, then it kinda hit me..... I'm only in my bra and pajama pants.

"No, not at all, I was just goin' out of the shower. Why are you here, I thought we discussed everything."

something a lot of band fanbases on tumblr do that really irritates me is that they'll post a photo no ones ever seen before with no context and then caption it with a woefully unfunny one liner and then when you ask them the context of the photo 6 times out of 10 they will not answer or not give you a source for the photo. and like they assume everyone knows waht the photo is from already. andif you dont then youre just an idiot i guess. info sharing in band fandoms in general has always been kind of an enemy to me. like am i crazy or do so many fans leave other fans in the dark about stuff and gatekeep things like photos or interviews or information in general. its so odd. maybe i am crazy. i have insecurity issues so maybe im imagining things. maybe im just projecting or something. i dont know. not sure

SORRY I TOOK AGES GETTING TO THIS i wanted to answer it on my pc for typing reasons. umm i know i havent really talked about any of them but since i went on a dive into looking into my neph lore yesterday ill tell you about her!!! (link is art of her lolz)

so baseline info about the mc server i was going to do with irls because thats where she started; we were all making silly characters to play over i think it was summer break just because we could. basic thing is a lot of things would happen to our character, then something very major, then the next day they would wake up in the mc world. so everyone was from a different universe basically. i think each lineup was like... two were aliens/alien-esk but each from different little worlds <- not super sure, one was more from a modern world, one was from a pjo universe, then neph was from a old time-y royal thang. (100% chose that because i had techno;s crown on my skin and wanted an excuse to keep it also because i was very into royal aus when i made her)

OK so basically her story is like. any royal au you'd ever read inthe world. she grew up with her parents heavily disinterested in her, leaving her teachers to deal with her bc they were like who care we just need you to wear the crown one day and rule so we can chill forever. acted decently the same with her brother who is like 4 years younger than her or something. who cares this is not about him !!

her story is a lot of just being ignored and being both understanding and vaguely spiteful over it whatever, she deals, does her school yada yada. one day she ends up getting pissed off after her birthday is ignored once again so he goes to the royal guard and is like hiii! train me :3 and her being prince he was like. yeah ok ? sure. whatever. uerrmm she trains, shes like awesome really, she gets better than the guard over the time its cool its whatever shes just cool like that. Whhile she's training she meets one of the guards, also in training, her name was evelyn . You already know they fall in love 🔥 but its secret they cant really tell about it because of a lot of reasons ehhh whatever. years pass its pretty cool they also get caught a few times but dont Amen. changes on neph's 21st birthday though, her fuckass dad catches them kissing, drags both of them to the court in front of the queen and is like GUESSS WAHT.!

the king and queen order for evelyn to be beheaded. and she is, in that moment, and neph has to watch it. neph is ordered to be exiled but shes like you literally just killed the love of my life <- does some cool quick thang and yanks a sword from a guards hand and starts demolishing the court room. she doesnt get away unscathed obviously, shes a little fucked up and bloody but she does not care she keeps going 🔥anyways she kills her mum and dad, steals her dads crown, then dips. and then yay wow she wakes up in the mc world !!!!!

theres some other things in-between there, and even more about her after the whole dropping into the mc world but ehhh... u get her baseline lore thats ok. i willll say she does fall in love again and is so sick and twisted over it ❤️Sorry neph

Throwback to 2014/2015 when these two were THE biggest romantic ship in the gotg fandom. Including smut.

Ok jokes aside, I adore Rocket and Groot’s relationship. They’re just two weird outcasted creatures of the Marvel universe who found each-other and had each others backs when the whole rest of the galaxy treated them like freaks. They don’t get along all the time and can have their (old married couple energy) arguments, but at the end of it all you can tell they care about one another, even if Rocket is to emotionally stunted for his own good to admit it out loud most of the time. They also have a ton of sweet moments together, from Rocket going through the trouble of traveling to earth, a planet he hates, just so Groot can be happy and (mild spoiler) reunite with an old friend of his in the 2015 Groot comic series, to them going on a beach vacation together in the Rocket Raccoon comics, to Rocket Having an I ♥️ Trees mug in Marvel’s Rocket & Groot Cartoon, to Groot and Rocket straight up saying “I love you” to eachother in the Guardians: Grounded comic, the Gotg Eidos game, and the Telltale game etc. (which now that I think about it, I think rocket has probably said “I Love You” to Groot in most gotg related media more times combined than he has to any of his canon female love interests… so do with that info waht you will…). I could go on, really. Tbh, I do slightly prefer and love Groot and Rocket’s close platonic friendship as is, but I would be lying if I didn’t believe there’s at least more than one universe in the Marvel multiverse where they’re married.

Comparison

Im back on comparison as i see it runs deep in me, where i have done work on myself i see ive sort of given up like, ive done waht a can and thats it sort of thing, ive not tied up the lose ends and gotten over it completely, the comparison thats bugging me at the mo ill call the poor me, where i have to compare myself to another whenever i want to buy something, and i look what it might look like in the eyes of another, its this very fast flash and i few thoughts that seem so fast but very compacted in a nano second lots of info, anyway these nano seconds plague me and get me down, all because i dont take complete responsibility for them.

I see something i like a boom what would this person thing, would they like i t? Would they be jealous i had it and not them? I get this rush within me this happiness like im better than them is i have it, then boom what if they thought it was crap and i got it wrong shit i dont want to get this wrong if im going to spend all this money !! Yes swinging one way and then the other. Then its like shot ive had that fucking thought again wtf it will never go away im going to have to live with this for the rest of my life, and I hate it. Ive done all i can and its not going anywhere :(

Its not going anywhere because im not constantly on top of it, i mean if this is as bad as it gets when some people are dealing with far more shit than myself why the fuck dont i just deal with it and move on to the next topic as simple as that. So i really need to get over these thoughts of comparison as they are holding me back from myself and me finding my true self.

So as and when i see myself doing it i will stop breathe and apply self forgiveness in the moment not just carrying on i will pay attention all my attention getting this part of me sorted because i feel like will be so much better with it gone.

Living word to live for me again is still self love as its all that i done see my own beauty in who i am what i like and get easily lead into poor me im not good enough and get into the war game of having to be better.

oh dw abt it ! pretty much there's been a lot of information exposed abt zeren / quanzhe recently n its uhm. qute something (tl;dr at the end)

abt zeren, someone on weibo posted claiming to be his ex-girlfriend posted saying that zeren cheated on her while they dated and would go out clubbing n shit behind her back. she also posted pics of him at their home along w pics of their pets. a few days later, a fansite (i believe) posted scs of zeren texting on wechat and talking shit abt the other members of nex7 behind their backs. the general consensus seems to be that all this is pretty legit and afaik yh/zeren havent put out a statement abt anything yet

as for quanzhe a couple of his fansites came out exposing him for a shit ton of stuff including but not limited to: sleeping around, unprotected sex, sneaking off to korea to go on dates, airdropping pics to fans on planes, also shit talking the other nex7 members behind their backs and also just being a generally unpleasant person (??? idk how to word ahah) there's been incidents of him like yelling at fans at airports (and then being forced to apologize) and someone found letters from fans thrown in the trash

oh and also that one weibo post from abt a year ago that got him a ton of hate (smth along the lines of : popularity order doesn't mean talent) everyone was defending him saying it was misinterpreted but turns out nope ! it was actually abt nex7
