i made my own player character. their name is elbaite. elbaite is a member of the tourmaline group, a gemstone known for its many different colors and variants. the only reason their name is elbaite is because ellie is a cute nickname and its apparently one of the most colorful gemstones out there?? it can also be pleochroic, meaning the color changes depending on how you look at it (thank you wikipedia). i wanted to make a character based off the properties of a rock because its fun so the pleochroism is a metaphor for how often they switch up themselves to fit whatever situation theyre in. i dont wanna say malleable- theyre just adaptable. and sometimes to an unhealthy degree. yay for characters with Issues™️ i guess

also some gabby!!! gabbro! goober! good bro! anyway yea. i drew gabbro in a cardigan. they seem like the autumn vibe kinda person (if they even care about their clothes in the first place) so why not a cardigan right?

this is just me trying to figure out how i draw the Creatures. mostly just little doodles to test out some stuff, and a doodle of the origin of ellie's missing ear chunk. they fought off the lizard creature to distract it so their friends could escape. also theres doodles of a headcannon i have bouncing around in my head so HEAR ME OUT GUYS:

basically its like. hear me out here. hearthian ears perk up or droop according to emotions right? thats my hc anway. and autism-- NONO DONT SCROLL-- autism for some people can make expressin emotions really hard and weird. and making te face into emotion shapes takes a lot more thought that neutorypical people have to give. and gabbro is autistic in my eyes... hear me out....... and their ears are so droopy because they dont express emotions like most people. HEAR ME OUT. and their ears are always just down bc of that. so like. what if, h e a r m e o u t, bc their emotions dont affect their ears they instead STIM with their ears. they wiggle their little ears when their emotions are too much to handle because its CUte and I LIKE DRAWING IT. there thats my headcanon. you can leave now. toodles! ::]
