That's right, waffle maker for a two year old.

pancake & hot beverage - for both!
𝐎𝐂 𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐉𝐈 𝐀𝐒𝐊𝐒!
🥞 PANCAKE - What is their comfort breakfast?
For Dennis, generally anything that's warm and made from scratch is a comfort breakfast for him. Some meals hit better than others, like pancakes or waffles (with sausage links on the side!), but as long as it's something hot that's not premade or premixed it'll warm his heart and soul without fail.
Jaden is spoiled rotten, however, by his mother's biscuit and gravy recipe. He accepts other people's recipes, and rarely goes for any restaurant's take on the dish, but the surefire way to win him over is with the exact recipe his family uses. Nothing else will suffice.
☕️ HOT BEVERAGE - Do they prefer hot or cold drinks? What is their favorite drink?
Dennis is a year round cold drink kid. It doesn't matter if it's a brisk 40°F outside, he'll still sip on chilled sodas and lemonade because they taste good, and the only way to enjoy them is at colder temperatures. On the flip side however, he'll generally only enjoy hot drinks during the fall/winter months and rarely accepts them during the summer; Mostly because he doesn't want to intake hot substances when it's blazing outside unless he's in a well air conditioned environment. If he had to pick an absolute favorite drink of all time, he'd pick the Arizona Tea Watermelon Cocktail.
Jaden lacks a real preference in this category though and the temperature of his drink doesn't concern him unless he wants it to be one or the other. His drink choices are based entirely on what he thinks sounds good at the moment of consumption and what it's being paired with; That's it. As for a favorite drink, lemonade. Pink lemonade above all else but it has to be tarter, not sweeter.

What would you usually have for breakfast on a Sunday morning and how to make it? :)
I personally like to make chocolate chip pancakes (or waffles!) with syrup! I normally just get a box of premixed pancake and waffle mix, and follow the directions on the box. If I make pancakes, I use olive oil in the pan and the outside gets a little crispy while the inside stays soft and fluffy. If I make waffles, I use a waffle maker. I like my sunday mornings quick and easy 😁

ObiMaul - Taking Flight - snowed in
Obi-Wan was snuggled deep in a nest of blankets, dreaming of running his fingers through Maul’s sleek black feathers. It was something he’d done hundreds of times, but this time he knew if he could just find the right spot, Maul would roll over and-
Something bitterly cold and wet smacked into his face. He yelled, struggling to extricate himself from the blankets and get away from the ice dribbling down his neck to his bare chest.
He fell off the bed with a thunk and found himself staring up at Maul’s face. Unlike his dream, this Maul didn’t look happy, though it was hard to tell with the knitted hat pulled low and multiple scarves wrapping the lower half of his face. His golden eyes were narrowed, however, and Obi-Wan could pick up a sense of… irritation? through their bond.
“We’re snowed in,” Maul announced.
“What?”
A missed bit of snow dripped off his hair and slithered past his ear. He swatted at it and sat up, glancing towards the curtained window.
“What do you mean snowed in? The blizzard was supposed to pass well to the South. Everyone said!”
“Everyone was wrong.” Maul held out a mittened hand.
Obi-Wan accepted it and stood, getting a face full of feathers as Maul turned to leave the room. Definitely annoyed. Or not annoyed, more…
He pulled on a discarded shirt, following Maul out into the main living area as he tried to pin down the feeling he was getting. Maul walked over and opened the front door, standing aside.
Obi-Wan blinked at the wall of snow. A faint imprint pattern from the scrollwork on the door could be seen as well as a divot where the snowball had come from.
“I guess we’re going to be here for a while, then.” He smiled.
Maul’s wings twitched, feathers fluffing before they settled down again. Realization dawned, and Obi-Wan reached out, snagging Maul’s hand and pulling the mitten off so he could lace their fingers together.
“I’m sure the townsfolk will have us dug out soon,” he said, rubbing his thumb along Maul’s inner wrist. “And until then this little cabin is well stocked with everything we could possibly need.”
Warm fingers dug into his hand. “Yes, but what if-”
Obi-Wan took a careful step closer and leaned, just a little bit.
“We have enough food to last us a month,” he said. “Though I doubt it will take them that long to come and dig us out.”
He eyed the cap and scarves, the fur-lined parka, the snowpants and the heavy boots.
“Where were you planning to go, anyway? It has to be unbearably early.”
A wing brushed his shoulder as Maul fidgeted.
“The bakery,” he muttered. “I was going to get you those pastries you liked.”
Obi-Wan’s heart flopped. “Oh,” was as close has he could get to an intelligent response. He hadn’t realized Maul had noticed that.
“Well,” he added. “Thank you for the thought. Why don’t you get out of that winter gear and I’ll work on heating up breakfast for us both?”
“I’ll check on the fire,” Maul said, removing the mittens.
Obi-Wan watched him cross the room. He shed his outerwear, putting everything back in its place before heading to the still-smoldering fireplace.
Breakfast. Right. Shaking himself, he entered the small kitchen and set about making waffles. Premixed batter and a self-timer on the waffle iron kept things simple. He made tea for them both as well, a spicy citrus mix that was a local favorite in wintertime.
With breakfast and its accouterments ready he carried the tray over to the fireplace, bypassing the formal dining table in favor of the short caf table in front of the couch.
The fire was blazing and Maul stood before it, wings stretched to catch the heat. It was a good thing Obi-Wan had set the tray down before looking or he might have dropped everything. Framed in firelight Maul was breathtaking and he sent a wordless pulse of gratitude at the Force and whatever had guided it to make sure their paths crossed.
“So how does one survive being snowed in?” Maul asked as they sat side by side, eating.
“Well, there’s always paperwork to catch up on,” he teased.
Maul gave him a flat look over the rim of his tea mug.
“Or we could read. Or… do puzzles.” Obi-Wan racked his brain, trying to think of activities he’d read about in stories. He’d never been snowed in, himself, but the thought of spending an uninterrupted day with Maul seemed perfect to him. Unfortunately several of the books he’d read had been a lot more romantic in nature and he didn’t want to push things too far.
“A blanket fort,” Maul suggested.
Obi-Wan blinked at him.
Wings rose in a shrug. “Issa would be disappointed in me if I didn’t try it.”
“We wouldn’t want to disappoint your Padawan, would we?” Obi-Wan grinned as Maul rolled his eyes. “I’ll grab blankets from the bedroom. You can figure out the layout.”
Maul’s sigh was resigned, but he wasn’t quite able to mask his excitement, either. Obi-Wan headed to grab all the blankets, bedspreads, and pillows he could find. There were extras stored in the closet, so he grabbed those as well and walked back into the living area to find the space around the fireplace cordoned off with furniture and-
“Ropes??”
Maul glanced up from where he was looping a rope around an upended table leg. “There was climbing gear in the closet by the door. I thought I’d put it to use.”
“Good call.” Obi-Wan was having trouble chewing down his smile. “You’re really getting into this, aren’t you?”
“Issa has very exacting standards,” he said. “Plus it keeps my mind off-” He gestured at the snow-covered window.
That tempered some of Obi-Wan’s amusement, reminding him that while he didn’t feel trapped by their situation, Maul clearly did.
“Let’s get to building,” he said, dumping one load of blankets on the couch before going back to get the rest.
The arranging of blankets and pillows took up most of the morning. Maul insisted on making sure colors matched and that the walls and ceilings were, if not even, at least aesthetically pleasing. They both touched on the Force to make sure the blankets spread without fuss or wrinkling. Obi-Wan cheerfully allowed himself to be ordered around, able to sense some of his friend’s tension easing away as they worked.
“You know, if this outcast thing doesn’t work for you I bet you’d have a stellar career as an interior designer,” he said, and was promptly smacked with a wing.
“This jealousy is beneath you,” Maul said, moving a comforter aside so he could enter their fortress. The edge of it smacked Obi-Wan in the face as he moved to follow.
Inside it was roomy enough to accommodate Maul’s wings, as long as he stayed crouched. It was also a great deal warmer than the rest of the room since one wall included the fireplace. Obi-Wan watched Maul arrange himself on a pile of pillows and wanted nothing more than to cozy up beside him, but first, there was one thing missing.
“This is by far the best blanket fort I’ve ever seen,” he told Maul. “But I have one more surprise to make it perfect.”
With that, he ducked back out and headed for the kitchen, returning a few minutes later with a bag of marshmallows and a couple of skewers.
“Those are a bit short for proper dueling,” Maul said, eyeing the skewers.
“Good thing all we’re killing is marshmallows, then.” Smiling, Obi-Wan used the Force to nudge the pillow nest closer to the fire before handing Maul an impaled marshmallow and sticking his own over the flames.
“Toasted marshmallows are amazing. Trust me.”
“Cooking food over an open flame?” Maul shuffled closer, mimicking his pose. “How primitive.”
“Primitive and delicious.” Obi-Wan nudged him with a shoulder. “It takes experimentation and luck to get it right,” he said, turning the skewer as one side of the marshmallow browned. “Getting the color even all the way around is no mean feat.”
Maul’s marshmallow burst into flame.
“Or there’s always that method.” Taking Maul’s hand he pulled the marshmallow closer and blew it out. “Some people actually like them better that way.” He blew a bit more to cool it then ate it off the end of the skewer.
“Mmm,” he said as Maul wrinkled his nose. “You try mine. And remember, it’s very hot.”
Maul eyed the skewer Obi-Wan handed him before taking a bite. Marshmallow goo stretched, dripping down his chin and towards the floor. Swearing, he tried to catch it with his free hand, compounding the mess.
Obi-Wan laughed so hard he started to choke. Maul pounded him on the back… with his sticky hand.
“Oh, thank you. Yes, that’s much better.” Grinning, Obi-Wan affixed another marshmallow to his skewer and set about toasting it. “I should have warned you that they’re messy as well. You have to eat it all in one go.”
“Now you tell me.” Maul finished his own marshmallow, hesitating for only a moment before grabbing another. “They’re disgustingly sweet. But… I think I like them.”
The toasting continued with varying levels of success. There was a brief break while Obi-Wan retrieved mugs of cocoa and then they were back at it again.
“If this is what being snowed under involves, I could get used to it,” Maul admitted, one wing half spread around Obi-Wan, who was listing closer and closer to his side.
“Mmm, if only all our problems were this comfortable.”
“Thank you,” Maul murmured, leaning against Obi-Wan. “This is just what I needed.”
“Good.” He brushed sticky lips against Maul’s jaw. “Me too.”
