Welcome to Hell 31 Days was a fan game I had been working on several years ago (based on the animated short film Welcome to Hell by Erica Wester, which has since announced that it will be getting a sequel in the future, which I'm excited about).

Welcome to Hell is about a boy named Sock, who dies and becomes a demon, sent back to Earth to haunt another boy. However, it turns out that he "sucks at his job" and ends up befriending the boy. Which could really be bad if his boss Mephistopheles finds out.

The fan game idea I had was an RPG Maker (engine) game where you play as Sock and make choices that span a month (the 31 days), leading to different story outcomes depending on your choices.

Currently, I'm not actively working on the fan game, as I'm concentrating on other stuff at the moment. I would however like to go back to it at some point.

So theory time:

I think this Jonathan getting in heaven

Why? idk i have my ideas of how his reaction is going on and why would he react like this (and the situation depending on the order the images goes, which I think there is only two)

If it goes up left to down right: Providence is tellling Johathan that he just died and now he is in heaven, of course Jonathan at first feels it like a victory against Sock and maybe his own beliefs that he was going to hell, that he wasnt good enough for happiness, or even a good person, gladly confirming that his internal thoughs about himself are not true and Sock´s mission failed, but there is also this strong sadness because... well, the guy died, likely someone murder him or it was a accident, whatever cause it was a unexpected and Jonathan at least he didnt want to go yet, and I think thats (Ironically) thanks to Sock, so after his little celebration he starts to realising the implications this will have to others, his mom is going to be alone by her own, his friend Lil will be alone too, and Sock will burn down for the rest of the eternity.

If it goes down right to left up: Johathan was already told that he was in heaven, of course he cant belive it but he is so happy that his inner demons and darkest thoughs were so wrong about him going to hell, confirming that he does deserve happiness, and whats better than eternal happiness???. But the thing is that his first thoughs are about Sock, and Jonathan feels like he has won their little "battle" (With the new film coming out I notice that maybe Jon sees his relationship with Sock more like some kind of challenge, or at least he does recognizes Sock as a potential threat but since Sock sucks at his job he rather to not take him seriously as such, unless...) so he is like "Fuck yeah, screw him!" but of course Johathan dosent actually realised that he is celebreting someone else´s "death" and Providence calls out that and they cant give heaven to someone hat kind of mindset, so Jon is like "Oh shit, sorry" and he fucks up and goes directly to hell, miracously saving Sock from spiritual death ... Or Providence is actually explaing to him whats going to happend to Sock now that he has failed his mission, of course Jonathan is surprise and is like "oh shit" beacuse he just realise he is actually celebreting someone else´s torture in front of god herself, and at the same time he actually feels conflicted now because is his happiness at the cost of Sock´s whole existing burning away forever, so this is the moment where Jonathan realise how actually important is Sock for him and how much he does care about him, despise all the murder and killing yourself thing, Jonathan likes Sock (At least enough to not wanting him suffer for the rest of the eternity).

Sorry for the big texts, I JUST LOVE THIS JONATHAN´S DRAWINGS OKAY??? THE WHOLE POTENTIAL ANGST IT HAS IS SO DELICOUS AND WONDERFUL

I would really love to see this scene, or at least see a moment with Jonathan expressig HUGE EMOTIONS like this, so emotive, one of the most exciting and epic moments of W2H I ever seen.

Can we please see the Johnathan doodle once you're satisfied with it?
