Vote on my next AU

Ok so I got 2 ideas for a new askblog. Generally i have a vague plot line in mind but the plot is mostly shaped by the asks. (also more ships can potentially happen than said in this post they’re just haven’t been considered as much)

Liminal sides -  Logan main character. The sides are in long term psychiatric inpatient care run by Patton and Picani. ANGST, but also fluff. Some of the sides are in a DID system so some characters are introduced over time. Big sib Remus, Lil sib Roman. Patton x Picani. Potential loceit. Remy x Remus. potential prinxiety.

After Logan’s grades dropped to nearly all Fs his parents send him to a new type of psychward. It’s only a small section with only a few other patients around his own age. All of them are teenagers stuck in this place that isn’t quite home but home isn’t how a home is supposed to be either. They’re stuck in the liminal. All of them have abysmal social skills as well so they could probably use some help from askers.

Succubus sides - Remus and Janus main character. Much more worldbuilding in this one. Obviously supernatural. ANGST, a few scenes going on whump. theyre succubuses so sex will be talked about but there’s no actual smut. Picani x Remy. Logicality. Close creativitywins. Potential dukeceit. Potential anxceit. 

Remus works in the lowest squadron of Succubuses in the Lust circle of hell under the ruling of their manager called Orange. Their job is to convert more humans into committing sins so hell has a bigger number than heaven, sinning through lust is also the only way succubuses can feed. Only problem is that Remus is completely sex repulsed. Meanwhile Janus is a human on earth who is struggling to get through college because of their adhd. Without them knowing they will soon become followed by a demon.

TS Survey Results!

Unsurprisingly, C!Thomas was the least popular choice for "favorite character". This one's pretty self explanatory.

Also pretty self explanatory, it seems that Logan is, in fact, the cool one.

It's kind of interesting to me that overall, Remus and Patton seem to be the least popular sides? Maybe it's because of what Remus represents and that he's been around for the shortest amount of time, but I can't really think of a reason for Patton. I mean, he's been the center of a lot of events recently within the show, so maybe that's why?

I should mention on this one that I originally forgot Logicality, and added it on slightly later. However, the most that it could have possibly been off by was 10 votes, so I think the results for it are still fairly reliable.

Pairings - Mainly Demus/Dukeceit with background Logicality and Prinxiety

Summary - It's no secret that Janus hates the cold and that he gets cold easy. So what happens when the twins decided to turn the Imagination into a winter wonderland? What could possibly go wrong?

Prompt - Snow day/Cold

"Are you serious?" Janus hissed out as he shoved his hands in his pockets to try and keep them warm. He was walking with the other sides in the Imagination since the twins had decided to create a winter wonderland for them. He could feel the cold starting to nip at his ears but he did his best to brush it off for the time being.

"Come on Janus," Patton said as he walked alongside the deceitful side. "I'm sure that it will be a lot of fun and they worked so hard to create the snow."

"And you did agree to come with us," Logan stated. "If I am not mistaken in that fact."

"And it will be fun," Virgil commented. "It'll be worth it so just enjoy yourself, would ya?"

Janus sighed as he continued to walk with the others but he couldn't help shivering slightly at the cold air that was nipping at his skin. It was no secret that he hated the cold since he was cold-blooded and he never liked been out in the cold. So why was he out in the snow with the other sides? Remus had begged him to come to the Imagination to see what the twins had created and he couldn't say no. He knew that he could leave at any time if he needed to but he did admit that he was curious to see what the twins had done. Remus knew that he didn't do well in the cold and he had told Janus that he could leave if he had to. He was aiming to stay outside with the others as much as possible so he didn't miss anything too important.

It felt nice to be included and it wasn't as if Janus had anything better to do with his time. He would probably sit on the couch and read like he usually did when he wasn't included by the others. Remus changed that massively and the snake-like side hasn't had a quiet day since. He doesn't know exactly happened since his boyfriend wouldn't share details but he had a feeling of what might have happened. He didn't ask anyone about what Remus had said to them and by this point, he was too afraid to ask. Remus had his reason for what he did and it was worth it to see his boyfriend smile. The others didn't know that Remus cared so deeply until he expressed how disgusted he was over the fact that Janus was being shunned by them. Patton later invited Janus to bake some cookies with him and they had the chance to bond while they were baking. It was an eye-opener for them and it showed what Remus saw in the dishonest side.

The whole Imagination was completely covered in beautiful white snow that was untouched. They could see Remus and Roman throwing snowballs at each other a little ways ahead. It seemed like they were enjoying themselves until Virgil suggested that they join in which wasn't a bad idea. Janus was tempted to say that he would watch but Patton suggested they had a snowball match and he couldn't say no to the idea. It sounded like a fun idea. The teams were Logan, Roman and Patton verse Remus, Virgil and Janus. Everyone was enjoying themselves and they were laughing every time someone got hit since it was all in good fun. Remus' team had an advantage since Janus had six arms instead of two so he made a lot of the snowballs. Virgil and Remus ganged up on Roman which wasn't fair but it was hilarious to watch for the remaining three. It even managed to get a laugh out of Logan which was rare but they had to save Roman from having snow shoved down his coat by the pair.

The snowball fight went on for quite a while until Patton accidentally hit Janus in the face which caused him to fall into a large pile of snow. The morality side immediately began to apologise but Janus just laugh it off and that's when he felt a sharp shiver shake his whole body. He quickly wrapped his arms around himself and soon realised that he was getting too cold. Patton had knelt down in front him and he had wrapped his scarf around the other side's neck in a vain attempt to warm him up. Remus ran over to where the pair was with Logan, Roman and Virgil close behind him. Patton was trying his best to keep the other side warm but it was a fruitless effort but Remus was certainly grateful. The last thing they wanted was Janus turning into his snake form because he got too cold. They need to get him inside and fast before that happened. 

"We need to get him inside," Remus said as he scooped Janus up as if he weighed nothing. It was evident by his shivering that he had been outside longer than he intended to. They must have forgotten that Janus doesn't do well in the cold and he was moving around a lot during the snowball fight. The cold must have just caught up to him when they weren't expecting.

"I'll run ahead and get some spare blankets ready," Virgil suggested before he and Roman started to run back towards the cabin that had been created for them. It was surprising when the pair moved quickly despite the snow and it wasn't long before Patton began to follow the pair.

The logical side took off Janus' hat and replaced it with his own woollen hat to help keep what little there was inside. Logan stayed with Remus as they made their way back and Janus was grateful that his boyfriend was like a furnace. The shivering hadn't stopped and it was still rather concerning but they weren't far from the cabin. Logan kept Janus talking, despite how lethargic he was, while they made their way back to the cabin and the body heat from Remus seemed to be helping. All of them made it back to cabin safely and Patton had managed to get the fire going in the living room so the cabin was warm enough for the cold snake. Virgil and Roman had found all of the blankets that they could find which were quite a few. Everything had been gathered into the living room and Remus placed Janus down onto the couch so he could warm him up.

Remus had managed to get Janus out of his outdoor wear and had wrapped his boyfriend up in quite a few of the blankets. Everyone was concerned about Janus but they didn't voice their worries since the snake-like side had fallen asleep. Janus was curled up on his boyfriend's lap under the blankets that he had been wrapped up in. They were just relieved that he was safe and sound. It was decided that they would spend the rest of the day inside and they decided to watch some movies. They all decided to watch some of the old classic slasher films despite what Roman said but the others had voted against watching Disney movies. Patton had made some hot chocolate for everyone and everyone had snuggled against each other. Their worry never left their minds and they felt bad for forgetting about Janus being cold-blooded since they were having so much fun. 

Virgil and Roman were cuddling on the floor with a blanket draped over their shoulders while Patton snuggled into Logan's side. They were enjoying the movie night and Janus woke up halfway through Halloween. He was confused until he realised that they were inside and he couldn't remember how they got inside. He could remember that he felt extremely cold and he remembered being carried by Remus but that was about it. He was grateful for been wrapped up in blankets and he was enjoying the warmth that surrounded him. He snuggled deeper into the blanket burrito and he could hear his boyfriend's heartbeat which was soothing to him. He could feel the arms wrapped around him in a secure manner and he felt completely safe.

He could hear the others talking about the movie they were watching and Remus was giving his usual input. It was nice and everyone was enjoying what they were watching despite how afraid Patton was. Janus let his eyes flutter open and he noticed that he was in the cabin which made him sigh in relief. Patton untangled himself from Logan and made his way to the kitchen so he could make some food for everyone. It was beginning to get late and everyone was starting to get hungry as well.

"Does anyone fancy some pancakes?" Patton asked from the kitchen and everyone cheered in response. Janus let out a yawn which seemed to catch everyone's attention since they thought that he was still asleep.

"Looks who's awake," Virgil commented as he glanced over towards the snake in the blanket burrito. "How are you feeling Dee?"

"I'm feeling better," Janus answered the questioned and he lifted his head out of the blanket burrito. "How did I get here? I don't remember much after the snowball fight."

"Remus carried you back here," Logan stated as he kept his eyes on the screen in front of him. "I did my best to keep you talking while we walked back but you fell asleep when we were near the cabin."

"Me, Ro and Pat went on ahead so we get everything warmed up," The anxious said said. "You really scared me for a moment there and I was beginning to panic for a while when Remus carried you in."

"I'm sorry," Janus mumbled and he truly meant it. He didn't mean to ruin the day and he did have fun outside in the snow with everyone.

"Hey now," Remus said as he ran his fingers through his boyfriend's hair. "It's not your fault and I think that we may have forgotten about you being cold-blooded."

"We were running around a lot," Roman commented. "We didn't start to feel how cold it was until we stopped running around."

"Where's Patton?" Janus asked.

"He went to make some pancakes for us," The logical side answered. "We will be most likely heading back once you feel better."

Janus smiled slightly and snuggled down into his blanket burrito, enjoying the feeling of Remus' fingers in his hair. It was going to take a while before they could leave the cabin but no one seemed to mind and their host was managing without them. It was nice to feel included and he did enjoy himself while he was out in the cold.

Dee casts a furtive look over one shoulder, meandering closer and closer to the forest. He knows what the villagers will do if they catch him. A beating will be the least of his worries. The others are allowed to slip between the trees in search of flowers and whatever else tickles their fancy. But Dee? He's 'touched,' his mother says, crossing herself with sharp, quick movements. He's 'cursed,' his father sneers, eyes sliding uneasily off the snake scales that mar one side of Dee's face.

He doesn't know why they're there, any more than he understands why one eye is yellow and the other brown, or why his tongue is forked. It's always been this way. The village leaders once voted on whether or not  he should be kicked out. He isn't supposed to know, but he knows that he got to stay only by a tight margin. Very tight.

So he's done. He's been done, if he's perfectly honest with himself. He's done with his mother's scoldings, the way she will grip his ear and drag him home if she catches him even the slightest toe out of place. The way she tears him down, every last inch of self-worth, until he feels like he could disappear beneath the floorboards. In contrast, he almost welcomes his father's bruises, stamping purple and blue into his arms and legs. He wears them like badges of honor.

He feels his fingertips ghost across his scales and firmly yanks his arm down. He's tried to scratch and pry them free often enough, giving himself permanent, reddened scars. A bone sliver of moon lights his way as he finally crosses into the forest, the trees welcoming him with the thin embrace of leaf-studded branches.

I must find the faerie ring, he thinks absently. He knows there is one. He, too, sat on the floor of the school house with the other children (although apart, always apart), when the wizened teacher told them in ponderous words and abrupt gestures what happened to the children taken away by the fae. Death would be the least of his worries, the quickest path taken.

He can't bring himself to care anymore. He doesn't belong, he knows that as well as he knows his own name. When he came out, bescaled and quiet, 'Dee' was flung at him and to this day, it's stuck. Not a proper name at all, but can he even call himself a proper human? He doesn't think so.

Mushrooms glint in the moonlight, plump and wobbling on thin stalks. Dee rakes the clearing with a glance. They form a lopsided but definite circle. With a quick intake of breath, Dee deliberately steps into the faerie ring.

For a moment, nothing happens, creasing his brow in puzzlement. Then a poisonous green light erupts from everywhere and nowhere at once and Dee can't help but cry out, one hand splayed in front of his eyes as if his fingers can block out the light.

"Well, well, well," a fluting voice giggles. Dee looks up and startles, nearly falling before a thin arm whips around his back and steadies him.

The fae in front of him looks nothing like he envisioned, yet there's no doubt in Dee's mind that is exactly who (and what) he's looking at. Shattered green eyes peek out at Dee, ringed with purple and black. His outfit is old fashioned, black and green, sequins sparkling in the moonlight. To Dee's disquiet, there are rows of what look like baby teeth stitched across the front of his shirt in straggling rows. He's floating a few inches off the ground, bare feet hovering above the grass.

"A human," the fae says, then looks closer. "Or are you?" He muses out loud. Dee flinches.

"I am," he blurts out. "I-"

"I hate them," Dee says in a wavering voice. The fae's eyes widen in what looks like genuine surprise.

"But why?" He asks. "Don't you want to look beautiful? Is that a human thing? I'm not really allowed near humans, but this is my faerie ring, you see, so..." He shrugs delicately.

"Humans don't consider these-" Dee jerks a savage thumb at his scales- "beautiful."

"Humans are terribly misinformed," the fae says. "They're stunning. Perhaps they're just jealous."

"I doubt that," Dee mutters.

"Oh, my manners!" The fae says. He sits cross-legged in the air now. "My name is Remus. What's yours, little human?" He flips upside down as he asks, his teeth vulpine sharp. Dee swallows. He knows what will happen if he tells the truth.

"Dee," he answers. "My name is Dee."

"A lovely name for a lovely man," Remus says, turning right side up again. Green light briefly dazzles Dee again, making him blink furiously.

"This wasn't an accident, was it," Remus says. It isn't a question. Dee shakes his head, his throat tight.

"No," he whispers. "It wasn't." Remus smiles at him. It's a surprisingly soft smile.

"Come with me?" He asks.

"Aren't I- I mean-" Dee stops. Remus waits patiently, watching him. "I have to, don't I?" He finally settles on. Remus shrugs.

"I've never been good at all that," Remus says, frank. "You don't have to come. You can go back there." He nods his head back in the direction Dee had come from, the direction of the village.

"I don't want to go back there," Dee says, and he knows it's the truth. "I- I want to go with you."

"Then you shall," Remus says. His eyes are very bright as he extends one fine-boned hand.

Slowly, Dee takes it.

good news, sluts! my brain's no longer being completely stupid (only mostly), i've seen the new asides and...have some thought-y thot thoughts:

Okay, first things first: this art style is soooo fucking cUTE and I'm a jealous, squealing bitch. Anyone who knows who the artist is, could you link me to them, stat? I think Thomas mentioned them at the beginning of the ep, but nYeh, brain hurt, doesn't wanna do wooork-

Okay, I'll admit, I was a little...apprehensive when I first saw the thumbnail and title. Part of it's just me being a bitter Remus Stan, but also...okay, deep breaths, controversial opinion time, get ready:

I don't ship Prinxiety.

Like, at all. 

I can see the appeal, and these dorks were so very, VERY cute in this particular ep, but I was honestly turned off by the ship long ago due to how overwhelmingly popular it is and how some fans characterize these two and treat this relationship as if it's the only valid one, y'know, the works—slight tangent, but that's also why I don't ship Logicality or Remile. I honestly vibe much better with ships like Roceit or Analogical, y'know?

Cutting in for another brief tangent: I'm surprisingly okay with Demus/Dukeceit/Receit/Trashnoodle/Whatever-Their-Ship-Name-Is-Oh-God-Why-Do-They-Have-So-Many-Fucking-Names; maybe it's cause they haven't actually interacted in canon and the fan content gives me such good Gay Disney Villain content, idk man im weird—).

Still, their interactions were both hilarious and sweet and like I said, I see the appeal, it's just not my cup of tea. y'all Prinxiety fans got fucking FED and I'm happy for you nerds. Enjoy ze happy boys!

I guess another factor in my...low-key hesitance when I first saw what the ep was about is that...okay, get ready, another controversial opinion, le gasp: well, I'm not a big Virgil fan. In fact, at times, he swaps places with Patton as my least favorite sides—especially with some of his recent behavior in eps like DWIT (the "prohibit your breathing comment" really triggered me, for example). Sometimes, his attitude, especially around other sides like Roman or Janus, reminds me a little too much of my sister, who I don't have...a very good relationship with. Add to that how the more...intense side of the fandom has a disturbing tendency to turn him into the 'uwu precious woobie emo baby who can do no wrong' while unnecessarily villainizing other CERTAIN sides in the process, and...I think you all see where I'm going with this little rant ����

However, upon actually watching the ep, he wasn't...that bad? I don't think? I enjoyed watching him be a flustered, disaster-y mess and genuinely excited at the end, his interactions with Roman were nice enough, and him literally pushing Thomas to make a move with Nico despite his obvious panic attack was a nice moment of genuine character development. I like seeing that, that's the good shit right there. And him being all flustered and shit, and smiling so much at the end of the vid was just...well, adorable. This man has no fucking right to be this cute, my god

Also, this is a breather ep and adding Janus in probably would've caused unnecessary drama with the Roceit breakup and the constant antagonism between Virgil and him. Does that make sense? I think it makes sense. Sorry, brain going brr-
