Wrath of the machine raid monitor locations
Tumblr media
This will start a timer showing that you need to move fast. Once you’ve broken through the wall, run to the far side of the map, and proceed to pick up the three different parts of the Siege Engine. Shoot the weak spots at the top of the Siege Engine and it will suffer a hull breach, allowing the players to hop on the Siege Engine, and let it demolish the wall you were just pinned against. The Engine will make its way toward the group, seeming to pin you against the wall, while spawning in several enemies to hinder your group. Make your way towards it and the event will trigger, showing a brief cutscene. Guardians have to crouch or slide into the safe roomsĬheckpoint 3: Repairing the Siege Engine The Siege Engine, in the state it’s in before the encounter.Īfter you’ve defeated Vosik, and made your way onto the sort of, highway structure, you’ll reach the Siege Engine.Monitors in the middle turn on, not the small ones on the sides.Six SIVA Charges spawn instead of three (everyone must throw one).Repeat this process until you’ve killed Vosik, then proceed through the door that opens behind him. Once everyone is in there, shoot the little box to activate the shield, protecting the team from the blast. On this occurrence, look to the left or the right for a little room glowing yellow, and everyone in the fireteam needs to run into there. Deal as much as you can, then be prepared for the SIVA Density Critical message on your screen. Repeat this process two more times, but on the third set of charges, Vosik will be vulnerable for damage for a brief period of time. The players need to shoot the monitor until it breaks and turns off. Once you’ve thrown them, his shield will deplete 1/3, and one of the monitors will turn on, showing the SIVA symbol. You probably have 3-4 seconds of leniency to wait if you need to. Three players need to pick them up, and throw the charges at Vosik at relatively the same time. Waves of enemies will spawn in, and after a short period an alarm will sound and three SIVA Charges will drop from the ceiling in the three different sections of the map. Now that you’ve finished the jumping puzzle, and made your way into the next boss room, the encounter will trigger when you step on the platform in the middle, and Vosik will spawn on the platform underneath the fuzzy-screened monitors. Heroic Differences…Ĭheckpoint 2: Killing Vosik A Guardian shooting a Gjallarhorn rocket at a vulnerable Vosik while the monitors in the background flash. Then, jump up the ledges in the front and follow the path that it makes. Repeat the process over and over again until Vosik’s health is very low, and he flees the battle. Use whatever it takes to kill them, and don’t let them near the spots. They are large Shank-like major enemies that take away some of your voltage if they get too close to the deposit locations. Throw all of the charges even after his shield is down. After you’ve discharged for the last time, the three locations will begin spawning SIVA Charges, which you should throw at Vosik to take down his shield. You can discharge at any of the locations, it doesn’t matter which. Go and discharge your voltage at one of the three signified locations, and repeat this process 4 times total. Run through a total of four different auras and you’ll have the Voltage Maxed buff. Vosik will then spawn on the large platform up front. If you run through one, you’ll get the Voltage Rising buff with a 15 second timer. When you spawn, there will be auras of light scattered around the map. Checkpoint 1: Making Vosik Flee The room where the first encounter takes place. The recommended light for Normal is 370, and Heroic is 390. Released in Rise of Iron, you are tasked with the killing of Vosik, the Archpriest, rebuilding the Siege Engine, and killing Aksis, the Archon Prime. Wrath of the Machine is a Fallen/Splicer themed raid that takes place in the Plaguelands on Earth.

Too Close
[Chapter 1; Excerpt 6]
Times in Emberash were different for a while. Noxis had been there far over a few days, more like months, but Aksis hadn’t done shit to activate the mark on her wrist so she was sure she was clear to stay. She hadn’t touched a single person, in fact she’d hardly spoken to anyone at all in all the months she’d spent there.  Youngins would pop out of training to see the strange shadow lady, some told stories that she were a witch, other said she was possessed. A few compared her to Vosik, but in hushed whispers because the Machine was terrifying.  She didn’t mind any of the stories they concocted, in fact, she ignored them. She lived alone in a cave-like home under the black obsidian walls as best she could. Silently planning when she’d leave the clan and find her way north, her plan was the Arcane Isles, there’d been talk of a sect of pillagers that way that knew something about the whereabouts of the man that enslaved her sister.   She woke one morning and things felt.. charged? It felt awkward and odd and she wanted to know what that feeling was all about. She trekked across the clan asking quietly if others could feel the sparks in the air. It was otherwordly, and she felt uncomfortable to say the very least.  She moved quietly, feet not making a sound, and at times she could swear she was floating. She paid it no attention, she curved a corner and moved up the stairs to the gates of the clan mansion. She felt a chill run down her spine as she knew who was behind those doors.  She slipped through the gate without a second thought, never opening it nor closing it; and did the same to the doors. Passed straight through them, moving like a leaf on the winds up the steps and to a large oak door with intricate carvings all down it’s form. She pushed the door open a crack and squinted at a small form that lay by itself in the floor, surrounded by pillows and blankets, it was silent. It suddenly stretched out and yawned, grasping sleepily for a little pearl that rolled against a pillow and bounced back to the baby.  She was intrigued as to why there was a baby here, of all places, and why it gave off such a terrible energy. She snuck through the crack in the door and padded closer. She was nearly on top of the boy when she saw it; strange powerful runes marked his little head, and when she was close, he opened his little eyes and gazed up at her with what looked like sparkling nebulas in his eyes. He held up both hands, and let the pearl drop back to his side where he held it gently with his tail. “Wahh?” He mused gently, making grabby hands for the skydancer as she stepped back a step and glanced at the sigil on her wrist. Something flooded through her, something warm and powerful.  She could end his little life right here, and take that power for her own.  That was definitely an option; and one she was silently trying to decide on the moment the baby had crawled close enough to grab at her tail. She pulled it away right before he touched her and stepped back even farther. She instantly unsheathed a blade hidden in her sleeve, and walked a wide circle around the babe, trying to figure out how to take him out without alerting the whole city with wailing baby cries. She was sure this counted as ‘touching someone’ but that power that flickered and danced was so close, and she WANTED it.  She lunged ahead to slit his throat but he moved and the blade stabbed him right in the shoulder, causing a terrible uproar of blood curdling screams from the boy, who was now scrambling in a now pooling puddle of blood. She made one last attempt to end him but he was slippery and thrashing and the blade merely managed to make a large gash down the membrane of his right wing.
Enraged her plan had failed, she fled. Turning to shadow and vanishing down the steps, out the gate, and moving for her house when she heard a sound that literally sounded like a million voices screaming. She turned on a heel and was met with a terrible cold wind, there was a godly arcane form shattered with shade coming  straight for her, and behind it flew Aksis, duel swords in his claws.  She swallowed hard and booked it, ignoring her things in her home, and fleeing the clan as quickly as she could manage, but the form behind her never stopped; even when Aksis did. She fled for lightning, she knew the territory pretty well, and after a while she felt power again; she decided to hide there, within the power that she was so bloody angry that she would never hold; and there she felt free from Vosik’s iron grip. She felt a terrible burning in her wrist near constantly, like they were trying to track her with no avail. She smiled at that, sneaky till the very end.  Here; within others she knew likely wouldn’t like her around long if they knew what she’d done; she met Static. Static had been very withdrawn, he was odd and didn’t talk much, instead when he opened his mouth radio static came, quietly out. He was powerful too; but his curse was odd. He didn’t call it ‘shade’ he called it himself; Static was everything to him, and he couldn’t remember a name prior to knowing about his static.  Despite this, he was very trusting, and very much loved to settle down and curl around the tired Noxis, she felt this was odd but allowed it; she’d been so starved of touch for so long she welcomed the help. After what felt like forever, in this odd place she started to call home; she found she’d grown to like having Static around. Even though they never spoke a word physically, he meant the absolute world to her, and she liked the idea of keeping him around.  Somewhere outside of the powerhouse she lived in now; Aksis tended to his son; and Vosik, tired as ever, watched the perimeter for any sign of the woman that tried to kill his little boy. They’d be on the lookout forever, he was sure. And the moment she stepped foot on their territory...  He would be lying if he said he’d kill her. No, there wouldn’t be enough suffering in death.

hear me out: i kinda think of Kovik, Vosik, and Aksis as grotesque parallels to the Hunter-Titan-Warlock trio
Vosik literally guards the Wall–a different Wall, but still the same concept. he seems something of a frontline commander, the boots-on-the-ground force that propels Aksis’s grand ideals into action. even in design, he’s bulky and made for power, faceless save for his many eyes in the same way that Titan helmets tend to be domed but elaborate fortresses, and carries a literal “burden” on his shoulders
Kovik not only infiltrates places his kind previously would never have had the gall to set foot before, he sets up shop in them and makes them his. he scavenges materials and even pieces of actual enemies and modifies them for his own use–he even has echoes of Eris via his utilizing a plucked Hive eye. he’s even “hooded” in his own way, with his SIVA triangle head. he’s lean and sneaky and extremely ruthless, and his strategies (such as using an enemy of his as a distraction + offensive force against other enemies so he can pick them off from another front more easily) are inventive and could only work for someone like him
and then there’s Aksis, the mysterious religious figurehead with no origin who appears to a once-great culture now barely staving off exctinction, claiming a connection to some technological god-being. but that’s another post for another day. Aksis, ingenious and mad and cloistered away to experiment endlessly on himself until his own work literally consumes him, leaving notes and research logs behind as the only vestiges of who he was. when he appears dead, he rises seconds later, more aggressive and casting out orbs of burning death. where Warlocks are known to “float,” he is perpetually suspended above the battlefield, with no feet to touch the ground with

Let me show the dance of my people pt2
Before I go on and comment each individual card I would like to note that this group of designs kinda breaks the rules of the challenge in one way or another. No one’s a pro here and I appreciate your effort but please next time give a good read to the challenge and the example posts. This week I asked for a creature, that promotes building a deck with cards from two tribes.
@dancepatternalpha Incarnation Rites
Humans sacrifices for demons is a trope that never gets old! I would like it if demons offered a little something to humans though. Gotta make good deals!
@aethernalstars Phantom Heads
Illusions and Hydras! A solid design, and a tribal combo you don’t see everyday! Do the hydras even have multiple heads? The truth is out there!
@tmstage Vosik en-Kor
A great and complex design in the wrong challenge as there isn’t a second tribe to interact with. But Vosik gives me the opportunity to say that the game needs more card that function like flagbearers.
@wpandp Juiblex the Faceless
Juiblex ticks some boxes of the challenge, but it feels all over the place and it’s static ability outshines everything else on the card.
@illharg-the-rave-boar Filgree Feaster
Gremlins and Constructs was a really good starting point but the execution is lackluster because you can run this boi by itself in any sac oriented artifact deck and it would operate almost as good as in a dedicated Gremlin Construct deck.
@fluffysheeplion The Living Nest
A Fungus Ooze with a Fungus death matters trigger that... makes spider tokens. It’s hard to connect the dots here as it misses the part where it promotes running spider cards into your deck.
@orien-siren-illusionist Initiate’s Advantage
Nagas are usually Green Blue and Black and Minotaurs are usually Red and Black. This Blue/ Red ENCHANTMENT does have a trigger for each of the two tribes but the naga trigger is just better than the minotaur one so as a player I would more likely splash red in a naga deck to play this card than make a dual tribal deck.
@reaperfromtheabyss Sephrima, the Forgotten
Oh.. the it’s the fourth sister from the Innistrad angelflights right? Her collaborating with demons was the reason Avacyn killed her(?) I do hope to see her card someday. On your design, it suffers from the outshine thing I mentioned earlier as the reward for playing demons with her is insanely better than playing demons and angels.
@livefromtheloam Riku, Impressionable Student
A good attempt to split up Riku of two reflections!  However the design is busier than the real Riku, and it’s a shame that a Wizard tribal card doesn’t have blue in it. However this could be a good starting point to run a partner design challenge in the future.
@starch255 Fly Fisher
I love the flavor more than the execution of this flying fisherman. The design is very busy, and it giving you free worms that fetch you the other creature types makes it a standalone card, not a build around.
@pretentiouslimericks Harok, Tormentor of Flocks
Birds and Scarecrows are a good pair of creature types to play around with. While this card ticks all the boxes of the challenge it’s hard to see the payoff for going through the trouble of making this dual tribal deck, other than some birds with good ETB triggers like Wingmate Roc.
Wish my feedback didn’t come off as snotty. I love the Fair, the challenges and also you, random fan that made it to the end of the post! Hope you had fun with dual tribal cards, I definitely want to repeat the challenge in the future, and I hope we all learned something from this one! Until next time!

Destiny Raid Headcanons
Thought i'd throw my hat in the ring, heregoes.
- Every subsequent replay of a Raid is completely canon.
-1. VoG has you crushing a Forest Simulation of the rebuilding of Atheon
-2. CE and KF have you reprogramming the Ascendant Realms of Crota and Oryx respectively (which are yours now, lul thx worm) to replay the events of the original Raid, everything fought is a psychomutable shadow created by the collective will of 6 bored to death god-slayers.
-3. WoTM just happens again every so often, rogue fragments of Rasputin take control of the corpses of Vosik, Meksis, and Aksis, and rerun the whole thing. Shiro enlists the help of a random 6 guardians to stop the threat once again. Perhaps Rasputin is intentionally doing this?
-4. I'm assuming you've all seen the end of Leviathan. I'd imagine something like that happens with EoW and SoS as well, Calus challenges you with the old threats that his Guardian Shadows have already done away with.
-5. Each subsequent run of Last Wish just happens because time loop (thanks quria)
-6. The survivors of the Kells Scourge after the first SoTP band together to attempt control over the Botza District, to disappointing effect.
-6.1. Siviks convulses in his grave every single time.
-6.2. The Spider used to be overjoyed every time a ragtag group of Guardians (usually hunters because "Fallen silk makes the best cloak material") arrived and mentioned that Botza was freed again, but now it irritates him that the resolve of the Kells Scourge is that strong.
-6.3. Both Misraaks and Variks are disappointed by this. Misraaks because he dislikes the Eliksni/Guardian war and he feels like this routine only bolsters the mutual hatred. Variks because the Fallen are starting to grow ever further from Old Eliksni ways. From trust between houses, to drama, to all out war, and then to uniting because of numbers alone, and now crime syndicates? Oh how they have... fallen :(

Destiny Guide: Here's How To Beat Vosik And Aksis Challenges
Destiny Guide: Here’s How To Beat Vosik And Aksis Challenges
Looking for a Destiny guide that explains and shows how you to beat both Vosik and Aksis? Hopefully this guide will help Guardians out so that it’ll be easier beating both the — once old, but now new — challenges found in Destiny. Bungie’s first-person shooter-looter is out now for PS3, Xbox 360, PS3 and Xbox One. (more…)

Wrath of the Machine >>>>>
I finished doing the King’s Fall raid yesterday because I finally got a team. It’s. such a long raid. The Loot looks okay-ish but drop rates aren’t really helping it too much (I didn’t get any loot from Warpriest OR Golgoroth), the raid exotic is useless for any activity that isn’t king’s fall (though touch of malice does look pretty cool, I’ll admit. Still doesn’t beat Divinity in utility or looks. To add salt to the wound, Divinity is actually better in pvp.
Also did a little bit of Wrath of the Machine (I love this raid because I smash up robots and kill cyborgs, and as an Ayreon fan this is GREAT). Vosik is simple but always keeps your attention. (Throwing the bombs at the same time, ad clear, shooting monitors, safe rooms at the end of damage phase), then the Death Zamboni (aka “Siege Engine”) is one of the most unique encounters, considering that you have to:
1. Break the siege engine by crashing it into a wall 2. Run to next wall, kill enemies in order to get replacement parts for it.
3. Pick those parts up (exhaustion and encumbered mechanics made their first appearance here I think) 4. Get them to their places on the Zamboni (they are color coded, so it’s easy to learn if you fail)
5. Ride it to the end of the wall and jump off before it plummets towards oblivion. And then you get your loot! Lovely raid.
For aksis phase 1 I remember that you had to use elemental scorch cannons and make some siva charges drop to destroy some vents and then it’s a wrap for that encounter.
And then... the final one!! I forgot what to do.

Echoes Remain
[Chapter 1; Excerpt 3] The world was once very dark, he couldn’t see anything but a foot or two in front of him, He grew close to his companion in these times, Though Aksis wouldn’t call it anything but means of help; Vosik loved the man with all his cold, tiny heart could fathom. When he was sick with something otherworldly that made vision, among many other things feel impossible; Aksis was there.  This was; of course before the Wyrms became their true means of power and significance. This was back in fire territory, where it was hot and it never rained. And the heat made his scales feel like utter fire and magma themselves, like molten steel plates that lined his back and kept his sultry flesh as cool and protected as possible.  Vosik took doses of therapy from shadefighters all across the world, each one breaking his mind... and its... a little more each time. Before he knew it he was bedridden with nothing but shadows to calm him-- and Aksis. They stayed curled together through several nights until the last came. An imperial that came from a place in light, speaking in a booming voice that chilled Vosik considerably to the bone each time a word was spoken.  He was the first to make a difference. He was the first to drain the darkness that blinded, choked, and strangled Vosik from his utter soul.  He was; however, verymuch so unprepared for what plagued the skydancer, and how it would respond with lashing out. The man fell to the very plague that he’d removed from Vosik; and it devoured him from the inside out until he was but an ash-covered corpse that scattered in the winds.  Vosik stayed in bed for many months, curled together with Aksis swearing that somehow, beyond all reason, echoes still remained.
