So it was about a 40% chance I was going return to my Voltron craze with VLD, a 45% chance with the Devil's Due comics, and a [squints for basic math] 15% chance it would be something else. I was off rambling to friends this week about Beast King Golion, Armored Fleet Dairugger XV, Defender of the Universe, and Voltron Force, so it was anyone's game. But Devil's Due has won out, so prepare for a liveblog as I reread one of my favorite iterations of Voltron.

I will liveblog by replying to this post for starters. Blacklist #voltron liveblog if you want to flee from any rambling, though it probably won't be excessive. If it is excessive, sorry not sorry, this is where fun times are made.

i just watched season 2 ep 4 and even though it was a pidge-centric episode, it had so many good keith moments, so i just wanted to share a few of my favorites (with a sprinkle of klance bc of course)

first things first: KLANCE SNOWBALL FIGHT!! literally this is like something out of a fic

tell me why this boy always has his arms crossed, he's just that grumpy

this scene. just. this scene.

the way EVERYONE was shocked when he grabbed and threatened the king, i was absolutely howling in laughter. he's such a badass

a rare moment of lance and keith working together (keith saved him) (they're in love actually)

not a keith moment but i just had to put this in here. i laughed i'm sorry, what is this corny ahh setup, why are they all circled around her like that😭😭 guys can we please talk like normal people

okay actually i'm mad now bc this scene was so sweet and felt like such an important moment for his character and they all just laughed at him. i'm fr ready to swing why would they do that, look HE'S CROSSING HIS ARMS AGAIN. GUYS.

Watching Voltron: Legendary Defender for the first time. Pidge is clearly a trans boy/FTM and the fact that isn't canon is a missed opportunity. Like seeing him referred to as she or as a girl gives me secondhand dysphoria. Also something something Lance ADHD system fails him etc etc. I'm 5 minutes and 27 seconds in. I'm going to be tagging liveblogging posts as verdant liveblog so you can filter that if you don't want to see this

Hunk: So... could you let me in on how you got the increased area effect? I've never seen coverage that high with this model.

Pidge: Well, sure, I'd be glad to! Y'know, it was weird, nobody at the Academy ever wanted to talk refraction scanners to me.

Whatever the universe, Pidge and Hunk will be Pidge and Hunk. Love them.

Blade of Marmora Origin Theory

@browntiger15 and I just came up with the best headcanon ever.

We all wonder what the Blade of Marmora origins were.  Were they Galra that just had enough of Zarkon’s tyranny?  Soldiers that just decided they had enough?

It might be better than that.

What’s one of the ways to strengthen control over a group of people?  Control information.  Limit what people can learn, and have certain parts of history erased from the texts so they think they’re empire did nothing wrong.

Book burning if you will.

If Zarkon did that, and a good chance his did, all of the Galra scholars and knowledge keepers just want “No, you can’t do that!  Knowledge is the right of all!  It’s the way to the future!”

But Zarkon ignored them, and would these guys just sit back and quietly let this happen?  Nope!  

Knowledge or death!  These guys would rebel!  They saved what information/texts/history they could of their people, went into hiding and began to plan on how to take down Zarkon.

In other words the Blade of Marmora are librarian ninjas.

You may scoff, but if there’s on thing I do know you NEVER tick off a librarian.
