Some people would have wondered how Vani and Dome can possibly become friends (since I believed this is their first ever interaction, ain’t it?) but it only takes a silly vampiry man named Noè Archiviste to bring these two together with ease lmao

And again, if you’re wondering whether their trash talks has stopped at Noè, weeeelp! You’re wrong. The convos between them (might be a different topic idk) continued as usual, and what makes it hilarious - I guess this is our first time seeing Vani putting on a formal attire 😂 UNSERIOUS MFS LMAOOO

I need to finally explain why this panel is groundbreaking to me besides the obvious reasons. I’m still not totally sure if this mutual confession is one of strong platonic love or leaning more romantic. But when contrasting it with how Noé says he loves Domi and all the blushing involved. Not to mention Jeanne, in the most Jeanne way, called Domi attractive.

So it makes me think the latter but we need to remember, we’ve been told for several chapters that Jeanne loves Vanitas. To me, she obviously cares about him and I see it as a crush than full on love. But notice, Vanitas and Jeanne came to this conclusion because other people assumed that and they jumped to “oh it cannot be!” and “oh it must be this”.

And there’s nothing wrong with going to people for love advice. But Jeanne told Domi she loves her without any of this. Jeanne figured out these feelings on her own. Which is growth right there but it makes me wonder if Domi’s life being in danger made her realize some things. I thought it was interesting vanijeanne aren’t seeing each other now. I mean Jeanne hugs Vani and he’ll break several ribs sure but it felt like an excuse to have their conversation get more focus and be important. And if things line up the way I see it, it’ll probably be a vanijeanne confession scene.

At least that’s what Vanitas thinks.

Listen this would be so mochijun and vanijeanne’s entire point would make so much sense. It’s the moment. Both are nervous and Jeanne says she cares about him. That she likes him. Vanitas opens his mouth to confess but Jeanne says smth along these lines “I thought I loved you. But I don’t think so anymore.”

Do you know how crazy this would be? It would fit Jeanne’s character to flip like this especially after realizing what she feels for Vanitas and Domi aren’t the same. It shows maturity and development that she is starting to understand herself. It would be a hit to Vanitas and be compelling from a writing perspective for his character bc at his core, he thinks he is unloveable.

But everything has lead him to believe Jeanne loves him. So he may enter a pit of sadness and have some reflection to do. Bc Jeanne beat him to it. And finally, it shows that vanijeanne was essentially a learning experience. It had substance, it had purpose and it helped them grow as characters. And this could lead to a fresh, healthier start for their relationship. They still want to be in each other’s lives and I’ve always thought a vj friendship would be great.
