A Vmin throwback - 2018

So last year I made a post called “A Vmin throwback - 2017” and naturally there has been a ton of Vmin moments in 2018 as well. Despite what people might remember, 2018 has been a truly great year for Vmin. We have gotten to witness a lot of really intimate interactions and the moments that we have gotten have actually started to make more people ship Vmin. And I’m sorry that this post is so late, but there were just too many moments. Basically we can summarize it to that we have gotten a lot of quality content for Vmin this year.

Here is a rather huge collection of some of the wonderful Vmin moments we got in 2018! Let’s start! More under the cut!

It’s been a truly blessed year and I dare say we’ve been walking around in a rather purple-tinted world since the very start!

Vmin haven’t been all that loud on twitter in 2018, but they did start of with a bang. Not only are they together, telling us they love us and giving us some purple hearts, but Jimin is also wearing (and specifically showing off) his birthday present that he got from Taehyung in 2016. It’s cute.

I also want to include Taehyung’s birthday bomb, though it wasn’t in 2018, it was released in January and thus didn’t make it into my post last year. And it’s too cute to leave out.

Also, award season in January had plenty of more Vmin moments.

Sadly I can’t include everything because this year has had so much Vmin. But I’ll keep going with the award shows from the rest of 2018, and we can tell that awards are a place where Vmin truly shines, because they just can’t stay away from each other.

Exhibit A, watch Vmin during the end of SMA where they keep close and circle each other.

Remember at the BBMAs where they sat together, flipped water bottles and joked around in front on the whole world?

Like really, we can expect great things from Awards shows, but this year was something extra. Even at a distance they keep turning towards each other.

We got one of the best Vmin hugs ever, and that is saying a lot, because Vmin has been hugging so much this year.

Award shows really seem more like date nights.

They can be rather shameless with the flirting too. (And the roleplaying.)

I mean, their display on Gayo Awards this year was something else.

I could include a million other moments, but I have to move on.

You can just look at basically any award show and you’ll see Vmin paying more attention to each other than anything else.

Actually performance shows also seem to be a flirting ground for Vmin. I’m sure you’ve seen the clips from the SBS Super concert in Taipei? Where Vmin couldn’t help but to expose each other’s chests.

So, next up we have so many good moments from Run episodes that I don’t know how to choose. We got everything from butt slaps to cuddling, to whining and roleplaying or just straight out being boyfriends. Let’s just say there was a lot of playful moments.

Of course we got the confirmation that BTS themselves also see Vmin as soulmates.

If you haven’t figured it out yet, Vmin wants to be close and together every chance they get.

And as usual Taehyung talked about something he did with Jimin, completely forgetting that poor Jin was there as well. He is not able to not talk about Jimin.

You also of course got plenty of supportive moments. Jimin is there for Taehyung when he is scared, doing his best to encourage him and compliments him. And again, this has been a year of hugs.

Some episodes were so filled with Vmin I can’t even decide which moments to gush about. Just take the barista episode, where Jimin kept complimenting Tae, calling him handsome, telling him not to tremble and that he is doing great.

Just sitting together and being in their own world.

And don’t get me started on the pottery episode, where Jimin just looks so damn cute as he gets to make something for Tae.

“Don’t worry my love” Jimin makes Tae a rose and a heart and are generally just really sweet towards Tae.

Like really… Vmin on Run is just the best honestly. Even if they are supposed to work against each other they somehow end up, well… clingy.

They manage to hug every opportunity they get.

Any excuse to touch really…

Like, they just can’t help themselves even if they are on opposite teams.

At this point run episodes are basically just a collection of Vmin adoring each other and being domestic.

There are sooooo many great moments. Like for real, I’m not sure I’ll be able to do a post like this next year, I will need one just for Run episodes. ^^’‘

We have also seen them bicker a lot, so it’s easy to tell how comfortable and natural their relationship is. Like in the badminton/football episodes where Jimin got annoyed with Tae several times… Or when he wanted to draw on Tae’s shirt but didn’t get to and ended up whining. I think you get it... Basically a lot of pouting Jimin.

I’m gonna have to move on from Run, but there are two moments from this year that I would consider the absolute highlights of Vmin on Run. One is Taehyung’s poem, and the fact that he thinks Jimin is the coolest performer he’s ever seen. (We have know this forever *gasp gasp*)

And the best Vmin Run episode award goes to.... Episode 50! 

The episode in which Vmin realized they can hold hands and they haven’t let each other go since. Scared Jimin was so cute, and he needed his Tae beside him for comfort. Like he specifically asked for it.

Poor little mochi. But now I really have to leave Run. Because there or plenty of other cute vmin moments to look at.

Just a few examples from the 4th muster, enough to make you swoon.

Not to mention this moment that will go down in Vmin history, featuring gay panic Jimin.

Puma also came back to remind us to ship Vmin.

We got the possibly cutest Vmin date ever. It’s just full of sweet, domestic and cuddly Vmin.

Then I have to talk about their concerts, where Vmin has made Love Myself their anthem.

The tour really was filled with Vmin moments.

I honestly can’t believe I saw this moment live.

They just gave us a million cute moments to gush about.

And like I said... This year has been filled with hugs!

They purple each other so much!

I don’t know about you, but 2018 should be the year where people stopped doubting how much Vmin love each other. 

Also JK ships them, so you should too! Look at him making them hold hands.

Promo-season is always good to Vmin shippers as well.

Speaking of performances we can’t forget Fake Love being generous to Vmin shippers.

Like I could pick this moment from basically any performance, so I have to hold back.

IDOL also provided us with Vmin.

Even spelling it out for us, that Vmin means love!

Of course we can’t skip over Singularity, which Jimin made sure to hype! (And which is also a dark reflection to Serendipity)

And before we move on to the two really big Vmin source of this year (I think you can guess which ones), I just have a few moments I simply can’t skip.

Jimin wanted a song, so Taehyung said he would give him one.

Besides this moment, as well as 4 o’clock, we also got Tae mention another song that he wrote. A Christmas song he wanted to sing with Jimin, but got stopped because the lyrics apparently were too romantic for two men to sing.

Moving on...

Saipan needs a special mention too.

No year is a real Vmin year without a proper butt slap.

Or you know...

Several…

And we can’t forget that we got the first Vmin (kinda) vlive in a long time. Showing an extremely domestic couple and their dog.

They of course talked plenty of each other in other vlives as well.

And there are of course behind the scenes stories as well, showing how even staff react to Vmin’s closeness.

But really, I have to move on... Because both Burn the stage and Bon Voyage season 3 happened this year, and I don’t think I have to tell you how these two shows truly let us see just how much Vmin mean to each other.

We got plenty of cute moments (even though we never got to see the museum date in NY).

But of course we also got yet another glimpse at Taehyung’s and Jimin’s relationship and how much they support each other.

Jimin has been a huge support to Taehyung, and it’s just so heart warming to even get a small piece of something so private revealed to us.

Jimin really is Taehyung’s strength and support. But we also know that Tae is the same to Jimin.

Basically in Burn the stage we saw a few of the moments that Vmin has briefly mentioned before when saying they need each other and lean on each other. I feel humbled to be allowed to see these moments.

And then we also got Bon Voyage. Where we once again got to see Vmin missing each other, despite only being apart for a few days.

Jimin couldn’t stop talking about Tae, and also seemed to talk to Tae while he wasn’t there, and sending him videos and photos.

And as he showed up seemed unable to stay away, holding his hand every chance he got.

I can’t possibly include all the moments from Bon Voyage, because as soon as Tae arrived (and even before) it was just so many lovely moments between them. 

...Wanting to share a room, Tae taking off Jimin’s face mask, going on two dates, sharing food, Tae buying needle and thread for Jimin, just Jimin wanting to show Tae the things he had already seen because not sharing them with Taehyung was not an option. Tae wishing upon Jimin in stead of a star. The list goes on...

Third wheeling the other members as usual.

Jimin being fond and supporting as Tae did busking and the two of them just enjoying their time together.

Then there was the moment that honestly felt a bit too honest and intruding. The fact that the staff member ran directly to Jimin as soon as they realized Tae was crying, and Jimin’s soft comforting and drying Tae’s tears.

This moment just shows how close they are, and how important they are to each other. And again, with Vmin it always seem like they want to share everything. Jimin kept talking about things he had seen and done, and wanted to do them again with Taehyung. He also expressed that he wants to travel somewhere alone with Taehyung outside of work and that Tae being the combo of JK’s and Namjoon’s personalities, is the perfect fit for him.

The other members even seemed to know Vmin would need some extra time alone, and let them team up two times in a row. We can see several examples of the people closest to them knowing how much they need each other.

Basically all of Bon Voyage in Malta was just filled with Vmin’s love for each other. And there is no way I can fill all that love into one post. But I hope you enjoyed this regardless. I think we can all agree that Vmin’s bond is truly special, and that they will surely keep going for a long time (They did promise in front of that scenery after all). 

And lastly, there is of course Tae’s birthday. And Jimin even congratulated him twice, also thanking ARMY for celebrating him.

A Vmin throwback - 2019 (Part 1)

3 years I have been making this post now, and every year people keep saying Vmin is dead, less close or even fake. I usually say: Do you have eyes? 

Vmin surely proved you wrong this time and I think at this point their bond is hard to deny. This post has been really difficult to make, both because of the amount of moments and also because it’s more difficult to find good gifs for everything and I can’t include twitter videos in this type of post. Just know there was a lot of moments I had to skip.

2019 was the year of the pig, aka. the year of everyone born 1995. So in this year of Vmin of course they have given us plenty of moments to gush about. In fact despite the break we have gotten spoiled with a lot of really great Vmin moments. So without much further ado let’s get this started!

There is a lot more Vmin under the cut. You have been warned.

I will cheat a little and start with Taehyung’s birthday bomb, which wasn’t released until 2019. Vmin were very cute in it.

The first time I saw this I couldn’t believe it. Who looks at someone like that while they are feeding them?

The year started of with a lot of good Vmin selcas, but even though we might not have gotten many tweets in total what we did get was still great!

And don’t you all dare forget that Jimin posted this the day after Valentines!

Then admittedly we had nothing in terms of selcas for almost the rest of the year, but thankfully Jimin came through and tweeted for Taehyung’s birthday.

Something big they did this year was of course making songs! Jimin released Promise right at the end of 2018 and Tae (the best photographer) provided the cover photos.

One month later Tae released Scenery. But not without Jimin accidentally spoiling it first.

He was very apologetic about it.

They both supported each other a lot and gave us a lot of cute moments in relations to their songs.

Jimin even sang Scenery and basically just promoted and loved it a lot. But even that was nothing compared to what was to come... I am talking about Winter Bear of course, which Jimin loves so much and has promoted more than anything ever before.

He did three vlives in a row where he gushed about the song and promoted it, and even told us stories about him and Taehyung. 

He also mentioned how he wanted to keep the song and his friend (Taehyung) to himself. The name of the first Vlive was even Say hello to me, a line from the song. Basically Jimin is both supportive and possessive in regards to Taehyung.

He sang it constantly and told us he listened to it every night falling asleep to it and even dreaming about it. 

True love and support right there! He also gifted Tae the two bears he used on the cover.

Movin on let’s look at the Run episodes of this year, because as usual they provided us with tons of Vmin moments.

It’s actually kind of overwhelming so I had to skip a lot because right off the bat they just...

First Run episode of the year and we already were in for a great start! And who knew we would get to see Vmin hold hands for minutes? I mean, Vmin seems to just have glued their hands together this year.

Stick to my side might as well be the Vmin slogan of the year. :P

And Run just kept on giving…

Tae wants Jimin to be sexy. But not too sexy….

Of course they also took selcas we will never get to see…

And some we did get to see…

The Canada episodes truly blessed us.

We even got to see Vmin share a bed for the first (but not the last) time, even if I don’t have a pic included.

They don’t even have to be on the same team...

Or even win… They still somehow congratulate each other.

Wo do love Vmin on the same team though.

They have both just seemed really happy and carefree this year!

I don’t even know how many times Jimin has said I love you to Taehyung this year… But it’s a lot.

Actually we have seen Jimin trust Tae a little too much.

But let’s move on, because we have much more to go through. This year we actually got some really good vlive moment from Vmin (besides the ones for Winter Bear I mean.). It started with the Grammy vlive.

We had Vmin doing, something… In the Hobi birthday Vlive.

And not soon after we got the infamous Rkive Vlive. Showing us some of the weirdest Vmin behaviours yet.

The clinginess is a lot… I see why they might avoid Vlives alone, because they can’t even behave when they are with someone.

I already mentioned the Winter Bear vlives.

The year also ended well with some nice Vmin from Jin’s Bday Vlive.

We of course also had a comeback with Boy with Luv that Taehyung made sure to add some Vmin to right away.

And Vmin really made sure to make this their song. Love is nothing stronger...

We also can’t forget the Lights MV.

And then for the tour. Obviously we got a ton of Vmin moments.

Special shoutout to Hong Kong.

I mean tours are always good, but the amounts of hugs and happy Vmin.

Tae holding Jimin’s hand to comfort him in Brazil when Jimin was sick and couldn’t sing well.

We also got Tae comforting Jimin in London.

And with this sweet moment, that I was lucky enough to see live, let’s end this post. It’s too long anyways, and will likely crash for many of you. As you may know I started this post in late 2019 but had so much trouble making it as Tumblr didn’t want to save my changes. I tried to remake it several times and at some point just gave up.

Then, I realized that the post is too long anyway and I might as well just post what I had if it managed to save the end part. Meaning this text here. So basically all of this post except this ending part was written and put together years ago. I know it says part 1, but I am not sure there will be a part 2 considering the problem with long posts. Just know 2019 was a great year for Vmin (as every year is), and that I didn’t even get to include everything (note the absence of Bon Voyage for example).  But finally it is done! I am so glad it saved this part and the tags. T_T

Vmin - Dead or alive? Are we still asking the same question?

Not to be that person, but in September 2018 I wrote a post about Vmin and how people worried they were "dead" or had fallen part. And with this conversation coming up literally a few times a year I am just so fascinated. I made two throwback posts just to remind people of all the moments we got with Vmin in 2017 and 2018, because people were worried they had changed and weren't as close... and I hoped people would remember how much we do get. And yet we keep ending up in a place where negativity takes over and people get worried. Especially in times when BTS has less content. This is from my post in 2018.

Can we please try to put things into perspective. We haven't really gotten a lot of BTS or ship content in general for a couple of months. (I keep missing them despite new content as we have gone from a intense period to a more quiet one) But also try to remember why we might have fewer Vmin interactions that has little to do with them. How award season was very different this year. How a lot of choreo being planned differently meant fewer moments for Vmin to do their "normal" moments in songs like Dynamite or LGO. How Run episodes having lots of moments or not depends on more than if the members have issues with each other... And most importantly how we have still gotten moments. Some pretty nice ones too. Even Vmin posting on weverse in relation to each other. Just because we compare this period to what we got earlier or what we expect/hope for it doesn't remove the moments we did get.

I would write a proper post on this but frankly I have talked about this subject too many times (though the time of course have different aspects to it as well, so it's not going to be exactly the same). Many other Vminines also already did posts on this recent feeling so no reason to repeat that as well. And I do have a better more detailed take on this problem in my big analysis where I talk about why we might feel like this, so for now this will suffice.

Here is the short summary (that is very sloppy because I haven't proof-read it yet) from that post.

Through the years I have sometimes gotten asks like "I am worried Vmin seem distant lately" and then even just a few days later "What is up with Vmin they are so loud". I think it's a lot about what we focus on most of the time. And repeatedly hearing "Vmin seem distant" will just make us more likely to start believe it.

This is such a rant and chaotic post written from my phone in a hurry. I just really want people to remember how this conversation keeps coming up once in a while and it's nothing new (other shippers have the same type of reactions/worries as well from time to time). It wasn't even new in 2018 as I was already kind of tired of this "flip flop" worry. Vmin called each other soulmates in 2017, people thought they fell apart in 2018 and now in 2020 they sang about being soulmates. That's the perspective we might want to remember. Do I think Vmin fell apart and then suddenly felt like soulmates again? Or do I think fans' misinterpreted them and exaggerated the negative and projected their feelings onto Vmin? Probably more likely the second. Because we do get moments, and we will for sure get more again.

I understand if you miss Vmin or even if you wonder if something might be going on. But I really don't think we have anything to worry about. At least not with what we have at the moment. I have been here a million times before, and the only consistant changes I have seen is Vmin getting closer and louder and softer. Like, Friends, 95z is love, sharing beds, holding hands every chance they can... Things that all happened after they were "dead" in 2018. Not to mention Vmin in Malta, the Christmas song Vlive or other big moments that happened during the "peak of dead Vmin". Vmin has known each other and been best friends for 7 years, their relationship is likely stable by now and it would take a lot for me to worry about them.

Sorry for the rant. But I think now would be a good time to actually remember everything we got, small or not, and realize it all still points at Vmin being soulmates.

Why did people think vmin relationship was dead in 2017? I wasn't there so I don't understand... Also please I can't wait for your vmin moments 2019 post! please don't give up! :)

Honestly I am as lost as you are. I was there in 2017 and I don’t really understand it myself either. I would love it if someone could actually point out and tell me exactly when this period of “dead Vmin” in 2017 (and 2018) would have been, because I can’t find it.

I do think there were several factors, and I have spoken about them here and there a lot before. But to put it simply the reason I think why people saw Vmin that way in 2017 are a combination of many things.

The things I think played the biggest part in that image being created are:

1. Comparing to the period before. 2016 had a lot of Vmin, and early 2017 did as well. Coming from a period filled with moments everything less will feel like complete silence in comparison.

2. Comparing to other ships. Ji/kook in particular was very loud, but also gained a lot of new shippers during this time. So coming across ship moments from other ships all the time might have made Vminies feel Vmin were quiet even if we still did get plenty of moments. They just weren’t talked about as often and got compared to other ships instead of looked at with their own merit.

3. Worry and repeatedly hearing the same thing. I’ve said it before, but when you hear something a lot you are more likely to feel it’s true. And since people started to repeat “Vmin dead” it got worse and worse and taken more seriously after a while.

4. Taehyung changed. We know this as he has even told us himself, but he got more quiet and in general seemed to play less. Tae being less “on for the camera” will have affected the image of all ships with him in them, but perhaps even more the big ones like Vmin and Tae/kook (you will see many ships talk about how something changed in 2016-17).

5, Vmin changed. Again it’s something they have said themselves, though they did say they got closer. We know they got softer, and perhaps at the same time less “loud” in the way Vminies were used to. We no longer got them being playful in Bangtan Bombs to the sane extent and they stopped doing their Mandakko for example. This being said, why and exactly how they changed can be up for debate. But again, listening to their own words and how they used “soulmates” openly to describe each other for the first time in 2017 it seems more like they got closer rather than drifted apart. They just changed their dynamics in a way that came across as being less close to some fans.

6. BTS changed after 2016. They got bigger, they promoted seriously in the US, they filmed Burn the stage and showed themselves as young men rather than boys. There are many differences in all of the members and more importantly in how they were promoted. They got to be more genuine and honest, they got to be older and more mature and they also got extremely big very fast. It was a boost in popularity I don’t think they were prepared for. They worked hard and thought 2017 was a great year for them as a group I think it took it’s toll. I also think them putting pressure on themselves and getting so much attention in 2017 is likely a big part in why 2018 was so difficult for them.

If we ignore the discussions from fans I think we can see 2017 had a lot of incredible moments for Vmin, as did 2018. In the end I think the objectivity partly dissapeared as things changed and a lot happened that influenced the feelings of how people saw Vmin at that time.

I would also argue that maybe Vmin got a bit more careful and private during this time, which also could play a part in the way they got percieved. But since that is speculation and interpretation on my part I wouldn’t include it as a big reason behind the “Vmin is dead” discourse. And we still got some of the most open and honest Vmin moments during 2017 as well, for example Tae’s letter in Hawaii.

I hope this summary makes sense for you. I feel I have talked about this subject a lot, so maybe I need to make some kind of collection post on it. Still, thank you for you question, it’s a facinating phenomenon for sure. But yeah, Vmin weren’t dead in 2017, and they haven’t been since either if you ask me.

How involved do you think BigHit is in Vmins relationship? If they are real, do you think they are putting all the stops? Like no vlives, no photoshoots together and etc. There was a Vmin drought from 2016 - 2018 do you think they had something to do with it? I hope you are feeling well, take care.

I think if Vmin is real the members and likely at least some people at Big Hit would know by now. Especially looking at Vmin’s behavior and the members’ beahvior I think those things show there is awareness about Vmin’s closeness and also possibly a narrative of being platonic. But this doesn’t have to be a narrative made on purpose to hide Vmin, they simply could be platonic soulmates and they all show it or talk about it because it’s there. It’s just another point that makes me look a bit closer at Vmin, but that could be projecting. For example we also have to remember idols get away with a lot without people suspecting them of being together... Or it’s possible Vmin are also holding back on their own because they don’t want people to misinterpret them.

As for putting all the stops we know for sure they aren’t... I mean, we see Vmin, quite a lot. We got a few photoshoots last year and even interviews and other things with just Vmin. Not to mention “Friends”. If anything I think Vmin are quite open with a lot and seem to over time show more and more, while there also seems to be possible parts they hold back on. For example Vlives. But that too might have other reasons behind it and might not be from Big Hit.

I think if Vmin is real Big Hit and Vmin and the members would rather try to work together to make it work as well as they can. I think Big Hit wants BTS to be happy (enough) and we know all of BTS decided to resign for 7 more years. I also think not being too “obvious” could be in the interest of the hidden couple rather than forcing them apart. Or if they are apart they would at least understand and partly agree to it. For example choosing to put BTS before being together because of the risks it could involve. That being said, love is love, and BTS and Big Hit seem to cherish these things, so hopefully they would be supportive. Being careful is also difficult to put into exact terms with what it would mean, because they could be more or less careful about various things for various reasons.

As for how involved Big Hit would be, of course all I can do is guess. I think again, it could be all from suggesting or giving advice to simply denying them to do certain things... But it’s beyond what I can see, except for the possible outcome. Like we know the Christmas song was denied, but we don’t know how or why. We also know Taehyung talked about it, despite it maybe not shedding a great light on Big Hit. We can make some assumptions based on what we see or are told, but rarely get enough information to see the full context.

I suppose what I mean is that the involvment could vary a lot, and also that Vmin’s attitudes and own reasons could matter a lot on how things are shown or how they work, if they are in some sort of relationship. I have theories, but these guesses are something I try to not cement too hard, as the hidden aspect of a couple and how they are treated can have so many variations.

For example I am a person who doesn’t really think Big Hit would go through the trouble of heavily editing everything when the easier and more discreet way of simply avoiding situations you would have to edit seems like the better option. I don’t think it would be common knowledge if there is a couple and that everyone from Big Hit would work together to hide it or shape the fandoms perpective on certain members. But of course that some could, and would be involved with how the couple is handled. I don’t think they would just completely leave them alone to do whatever... I mean, even as individuals I am sure BTS have a lot of rules to follow and have PR teams that help create their images. But I also think it’s likely Jimin and Taehyung would understand this to some level and agree with how to act to some extent. Which then could be a possible explenation for being unsure about being alone and afraid to show too much rather than relying on editing. Just as one example.

As for your point about the “Vmin drought” in 2016-2018 I am still of the opinion that this was highly exaggerated by the fandom... There are plenty of Vmin from this time, and even some of their best or most intimate looking moments come from these years. A few examples being their increased hand holding, the soulmate necklaces, the matching phone cases, calling each other soulmates openly, the letter in Bon Voyage (or actually just BV in Hawaii and Malta in general) and the list goes on... You can check my throwback posts from 2017 and 2018 which I made for the explicit purpose of reminding people Vmin did a lot in those years.  A Vmin throwback - 2017 and  A Vmin throwback - 2018

These moments could of course mostly be Vmin’s choices themselves, and even be a small way of showing how much they mean to each other while being a bit more lowkey with other interactions... But we also got Vmin photoshoots and them being paired up quite a few times these years, so at the very least they weren’t held back completely if Big Hit got involved.

Vmin seemed to do some things less, but we also know BTS had a difficult time during 2017-2018 and got more famous. We know 2016 was a difficult time for Taehyung that probably changed him a lot. There are many reasons that could affect them even outside of getting together and being stopped by Big Hit to do certain things. For example, I do think the weirdness about vlives started sometime during 2016, and I do think Vmin did a lot of weird things that seem to indicate being careful or even a bit off with each other. But a lot of these things also doesn’t seem to be consistant... It’s possible they changed because Big Hit found out of a secret relationship, it’s possible they changed because their relationship changed, it’s possible they changed as individuals, it’s possible they changed because they got bigger and their world changed around them... Or a combination of course. Which I think is likely the answer if they would be a couple. But I wouldn’t call it a “drought” and I don’t think they were forced apart or anything drastic like that even if Big Hit could have been (and would be) involved with how they handled the situation if Vmin either came out as or became a couple around that time. If Vmin are being careful because they are more than friends I assume it’s partly by choice and partly with help or advice from Big Hit.

Anyways, I think this is a very difficult topic, and this is quite a short reply for such a complex question. So I am sorry for this short reply. I am trying to talk about this in my longer analysis I am working on where I can go a bit deeper and give a few examples and more reasons for certain reasonings. Until then I hope you at least found this interesting.

This ask is from earlier this year, so I don’t see how we could really say Vmin is held back much after “Friends”, even if there likely are limits to what and LGBT+ couple would be allowed to do if they are together. My points still stands that I don’t think Big Hit being involved would include forcing them apart as much as helping them with the risks it would mean to hide a LGBT+ relationship within the group.

Regarding long posts

Hi, just an update from me about my content. Recently I made the post  The Vmin awards 2020! which is a very long moment collection of Vmin from 2020. I had a few problems with this post, which has kind of forced me to work differently with making posts from now on.

First the time it took to make it, which was a big problem because Tumblr kept not working and it took much longer than it would have had everything just gone smoothly. Amongst some of the problems: I couldn’t upload photos, sometimes not at all so I had to wait for it to start working again, sometimes because the gifs simply froze and didn’t work in the post, and through most of the post I couldn’t add them directly at their place but had to drag them through the whole post to their position (something that took a lot of time because of the size of the most). I couldn’t always save my work, and I couldn’t always load the full post. Meaning I had to redo the same things a few times until it “stuck” and actually was saved. I had to do this often to not work too much in vain. At some points my spacebar stopped working in tumblr so I had to write in word and then copy into the post. I also have a computer who doesn’t agree with me anymore which just slows things down even more. In short there is just a lot of trouble when making long posts, in particular with a lot of photos, gifs or videos.

Second, the post didn’t show up in the Vmin tag, meaning it didn’t get a lot of exposure. I don’t do this for likes or reblogs of course, but it does make me sad when a post I put a lot of effort into doesn’t even get seen in the tag. I suspect the size of the post could potentially be part of the problem as well, as I know some of you couldn’t even see it without the app crashing. The post had about 150+ pictures and gifs, so it might have been overkill.

Third, I feel like most people don’t have the attention or interest in too long posts and thus it limits how many actually takes the time to go through my longer content. Maybe especially when it is a lot of text. (Like this info dump of a post)

Fourth, I don’t make a lot of gifs myslef, but rather collect them, from various places and in a way that makes it difficult to know the source. And a lot of moments also doesn’t get gifs anymore, as most prefer to post them as videos. Something tumblr sadly is not very compatible with as you can’t add a lot of videos unless they are un Youtube basically. This is yet another problem that makes collecting moments in the way I do in a post like  A Vmin throwback - 2017,  A Vmin throwback - 2018 or  The Vmin awards 2020! more difficult and time consuming.

So, I think I will try my best to not make too long posts (even though I kind of love to make them, and might not be able to contain myself). At least for now when tumblr isn’t working so well. I might try again if I get a better computer and that allows me to work more smoothly.

I am however thinking of posting the part I did manage to finish for the 2019 throwback, and might do that as a sort of part 1. But I can��t promise there will be a part 2. There definitely won’t be one soon considering my difficulties.

I am sorry, but I really want to be able to give you good content at the same time as it isn’t too much of an uphill battle for me. I hope you understand. <3

Did you catch up on everything for bts or/and vmin before the BS&T era ? And yes please do a throwback 2016 for vmin I love what you did for 2017 and 2018 ! I think we would all love that and thanks by the way for making them ! :D

I think it’s difficult to catch up to everything since BTS release an insane amount of material for us to watch or read. However I think I have seen a lot more than most and that definitely includes things from before I became a fan as well. I have watched all videos on Vlive, gone through all their tweets since before debut, watched as many interviews and Bangtan Bombs (with subs) that I have been able to find etc. I’ve of course also watched all their own series/shows/movies.

Basically I have seen a lot, and I have also re-watched a lot of these things. Sometimes with the purpose to watch Vmin more closely. So for Vmin I have also looked for specific moments and watched things like fansigns or other fan filmed content. Those moments are the most difficult ones to retrack, unless the moments become really big.

I could probably make a Throwback post for every year, even without having been a fan at the time, though it would take more time to research and find the gifs/photos since I haven’t collected everything while it happened. Meaning some moments that are old are really difficult to find or to confirm. One example is the Dark and Wild thank you note that I have mentioned before (Unknown nickname in his thank you note for “Dark and Wild”) which is difficult to track a source for now when it’s so many years later.

Still, there are definitely a lot of great moments from 2013 and forwards. If I get time I might eventually try to make throwbacks for 2013-2016 as well. And I will definitely make one for 2019! I love making those posts and I’m glad you all seem to like them as well.

Why won’t my post show in the vmin tag?

Like this is a legit question... My post A Vmin throwback - 2018 doesn’t show up in the vmin tag. Is it because it’s too long? It keeps happening to some of my posts... Does anyone know why?

If anyone knows what might cause it please let me know. Anyways, feel free to take a look at my post and spread the vmin love, because apparently tumblr won’t do it. :(
