Sorry for any grammar or spelling issues English is not my first language. I was never a fan of bts I have heard about them bt was never really interested. So about a year ago or I think in the beginning of this year I saw a reel on YouTube abt TH and JK at the airport where TH was trying to hold JK hand and I didn't understand ppl where commenting abt how they were finally coming out and JK was shy or scared and all I could think abt was that JK body language was "the hell you trying to hold my hand for" that's what I got. Remember now I didn't know them didn't even know their names bt that reel was just cringe for me,and I didn't even know there was shipping going on in bts😩... Bt about 6or7 weeks ago a saw a funny video of them on insta and rm caught my attention so I searched their songs on YouTube became a instant fan bt then I got obsessed with jimin. Well suddenly all these tkk reels started coming on my tml and I was curious at first because there were so many tkk stuff and ppl always commenting under posts tkk is real I looked Into that first and I got to say I don't know how ppl can say they a couple bc I didn't even know abt jkk and those tkk stuff got me messed up coz when a saw a vmin reel I was like yeah they can maybe be a couple bt Def not tkk so I started searching jimin Omg that man is heaven Send... And low and behold jkk stuff popped up on my time line, my god when I tell you about the butterflies I felt when a saw that reel about 2018 where it looks like JK wanted to devour jm I knew a was at the right place.. Now I still don't know very much abt jkk I'm still looking into it bt for me who didn't even know bts or abt tkk, vmin, and jkk and learning about tkk before even knowing abt the other 2 bt saw at first glance that no a big hell No are the a couple, now for me that says alot because I would vmin a chance of being real before tkk. And can you maybe tell where and what I can watch to know more abt bts and jkk... I really love all 7 so much.

I guess some people see something in taekook while others don’t and you happen to be one of those who doesn’t. For me, it’s always been clear that taekook are just friends not just because I couldn’t see anything beyond friendship but because all the evidence and common sense points to them being just friends but I guess not everyone sees things the same way and that’s why we still have tons of taekookers out there.

As for Jikook, they’ve always been the most likely pair to be real to me not just because of what I see or feel about them but because there’s been alot of that has strongly pointed to the possibility of them being more than friends over the years. I cannot swear that we are right about them being a couple because we never know but I know for a fact that they have and have always had an incredibly deep bond. Also, I am positive that taekook are nothing more than friends, no matter what taekookers would like to say about them and the solo era.

I would advise that you try to find and watch as much original content as possible. You can find some on Youtube, daily motion, weverse etc. Try to avoid youtube, instagram or tiktok edited videos because those tend to take out alot of context which makes you misunderstand alot of their interactions or moments. You can also check out @stormblessed95 blog. She has done an incredible job in explaining their dynamics and breaking things down. She is also the best person to go to if you need to find a specific content. To know more about the other members you can follow member focused accounts on any social media platform but make sure you are not following toxic or delusional shippers or solos because they could influence you to start hating on or being shady towards other members. Find content like run bts, In the soop, Bon Voyage to really get to know them. You can also watch their Vlives from weverse. My Jikook Journey

Part 2 of my intro.

From "multi-shipper" to "...wait a goddamn minute."

This will be a messy and detail-lacking overview because I could easily do an individual post on each thing I mention here and delve deeper (AMA!).

When I became an ARMY in 2018, I was excited about the treasure trove of fanfics now available to me. The ship didn't really matter, but my bias was/is Jimin (bias wrecker Tae then) so the very first fic I read was a vmin camping one (there was only one sleeping bag, gasp!). For me, shipping meant I'd read fanfics or save fanart of certain pairs together because in a fictional sense/in another universe, they make a good couple. I think this is a healthy approach, keeping that boundary between reality and fiction.

When I mentioned to my k-pop fan step-sister that I was reading vmin, she gave me a weird look. She said taekook is THE ship of BTS, which confused me because vmin seemed to be closer and have better chemistry than Tae and JK. Turns out, she was right. Searching by most kudos on ao3, you get a shit ton of taekook. I accepted it readily and just thought I must be missing something since I was a baby ARMY, so I read those super popular fics and started to enjoy taekook too. I started to focus more on them because... it felt like that was what I was supposed to do.

It's a common problem, isn't it? Baby ARMY who are open to shipping are quickly found and "guided" to taekook before they have a chance to glance in another direction. If they try, taekookers, who are the majority in the shipping sphere, will convince them that taekook is THE ship. Even if they aren't ARMY (my step-sister), they know that much. As a new fan, you just want to fit in, so you'll go along with what's most popular. Some people eventually find their own way, but many don't. Asking questions is vital, but if you do it aloud, you risk getting attacked by a small but extremely aggressive portion of the most infamous fanbase.

Even back then while just innocently reading any well-written fic I could get my hands on, I noticed that Jungkook was usually portrayed as a lot edgier and darker than he really was (manifested the 2023 JK aesthetic) and Taehyung was constantly portrayed as... Jimin. Especially in fan art. For some reason, a lot of the time, the appearance/vibe/personality of Taehyung was truer to Jimin than to himself, and that confused me. "Why not just make it Jungkook x Jimin?" I kept seeing them trying to force Taehyung into the dynamic that Jimin has with Jungkook when their own dynamic was perfectly fine.

Slipping down the pipeline, I started to watch taekook moments/analysis videos because I thought gotta be missing something, right? That's how I found out people are convinced they're dating, and it wasn't just a fun fic/art thing. The videos themselves were... something. There were just way too many red circles, too much slow-mo, and too much mind-reading going on for me to take any of it seriously. Plus, the moments that weren't exaggerated were just close friend skinship. Hell, Taejin were doing more sus shit together than taekook.

And yet people insist on taekook even when taekook do nothing to insist on themselves.

At this point, it was deep into 2019. Jikook were wilding in 2019. Even I was noticing all the... little things that made me raise an eyebrow. The touches that lingered just too long in rather intimate areas, the fond/awed looks at each other, the shameless flirting, the complete lack of physical boundaries, and the normalness of it all between them. That's telling. Even though I was mainly a taekooker with a shit ton of fanart and fics saved to my phone, if you looked at my liked YouTube videos around that time, I had jikook moments videos saved, not taekook, because their moments were just more fun/juicier to watch overall. They just interacted differently than they did with other members.

A quick example would be a video compilation of taekook holding hands. Sure, they're holding hands, maybe even interlocking fingers, but they're usually standing side by side and looking in different directions or just having a neutral expression. But if you watch a jikook one, not only is it much longer, but it's just different. I feel like I'm interrupting sometimes. Even in such a simple action like holding hands, there's a softness, an intimacy there that doesn't exist in taekook. Jikook wouldn't just be holding hands (usually for absolutely no reason), they'd be looking into each other's eyes, smiling sweetly, fully turned toward each other, attention completely captured by the other. How can I explain the look in their eyes? It just doesn't exist with vmin, yoonmin, jihope, etc.

Sidebar: All of those pairs have flirty/sus moments as most really close friendship dynamics do, but they're lighthearted to me and never invoked a true sense of.... whoa whoa whoa, hang on. If Jungkook and Jimin were my close friends IRL and I saw the way they are together, my alarms would go off. As either, "Oh my god, they're fucking," or "Oh my god, they wanna fuck each other." People always say, "Oh, Jimin's like that with everyone." No. No, he's not. Pay attention. Really pay attention to the differences in the dynamics between members. None of them have the "same" relationship. Especially pay attention to how the rest of the members react to Jikook.

Anyway,

So here I was noticing this... deeper intimacy in simple interactions with those two (because I'm a human being with eyes and life experience), and yet my Twitter timeline would just dismiss them entirely. "I love their friendship," "Wow their brotherhood is so beautiful," and "They're all so close," and normally these statements wouldn't bother me because technically they're true, but I started noticing that taekook or yoonmin would brush shoulders and everyone would be like, "Omg taekook/yoonmin married/boyfriends/real," over nothing. Their moments are cute/sweet/funny, but never more than that. The blatant hypocrisy did frustrate me a little, but ultimately I didn't overthink it; I didn't want to be delulu or look too deeply into anything because I still thought I must be missing something. Taekook is the most popular for a reason, right? Right?

But Taekook died for me when Tae told Taekookers to get out of their imagination. I respected that from him and took it at face value. It was the most aggressive shutdown of shipping we've ever had. I couldn't brush him off. It's disrespectful. He's uncomfortable.

Meanwhile, over the next couple of years, Jungkook and Jimin only got more suspicious in the minor interactions and in the big staple moments. Rosebowl. Hickeygate. Etc. Everyone was bending over backward trying to explain away the things these two did with each other, and it's always the same excuses. I was also trying extremely hard to think of any reason other than the simplest one because I didn't want to be delulu.

Because there was no way two members of a boyband were actually in a long-term relationship together. Especially in a conservative country.

Ridiculous. Unrealistic. Delulu.

I was basically telling myself in a mirror that they were just extra super duper close friends with muddy boundaries that meant sucking ears and giving neck hickeys was okay. I did allow there to be the thought that, maybe they're friends with benefits and that unavoidable intimacy now bleeds through into their regular interactions.

That opinion carried until 2023.

The year so many jikookers gave up and bemoaned that those two weren't close anymore or had broken up is the year that finally convinced me.

What tipped me over?

Jungkook's vlives.

The way he kept watching videos of Jimin when he could just phone him. It reminded me of me watching Jimin, but I'm just a fan; I watch those videos because it's the only way I can appease my yearning to be close to and connected to Jimin, and absorb everything that he does or says or is.

Jungkook doesn't have that limitation, so why's he sitting there like a lovesick puppy with the fondest/most loving eyes when he could have Jimin over with just a call? Why's he sitting there looking like he's also yearning for something he can't have like us, the fans, when he can have it? He has Jimin's number. You don't need to watch yourself tease Jimin. You can just go do it. Just text him, bro.

It felt like he just wanted to bask in Jimin without interruption, without distraction, without having to force his attention elsewhere. Beyond being incredibly sweet, it also felt like Jungkook was making a statement, a point, because he kept doing it. Why? Is he somehow obsessed with his friend and bandmate whom he's seen almost every day for over a decade? If it was to promote him, he really didn't have to do all that? He didn't do it for the others, not to that extent.

Watching Jimin, talking about Jimin, singing Jimin's songs, fkn playing Letter on guitar. (The naked vlive flirting session? Lord, what.)

The man kept having vlives with a significant Jimin focus. He insisted on it enough times that it felt like he was trying to slap some sense into me. His insistence bothered me enough for me to finally do a deep dive into jikook.

Down the rabbit hole, I went. The more I learned, the more my jaw dropped. Where the fuck was all this info on my timeline when these motherfuckers were celebrating the most basic kpop boy interactions as if they were wedding vows? I even ended up seeing pictures/info we as fans were never meant to see at the bottom of that hole. If you know, you know.

Eventually, I ended up on this video (bless this fucking channel).

I want everyone to understand that I had zero knowledge of established relationship timeline theories. I went into this video blind, just trying to find the point in time when JK started to warm up to Jimin. That's not what I found. I found something so much better.

Especially 2013-2015 had me in awe. I think I cried. Jimin and Jungkook had a fattest, cutest mutual crush on each other. Absolutely. And because they were young, not that famous, and still rookies with media and camera training, we get a lot of insight into those two that we wouldn't get in later years when they learned how to mask and behave more "idol"-like. Jimin was especially loud, almost sadly loud. If you haven't watched the timeline of at least those early years, I implore you to. It actually blew my mind and broke/healed my heart. It's really bittersweet to see two teenage boys with little to no experience in anything romantic trying to come to terms with themselves while also coming to terms with each other. It's like watching a coming-of-age romance movie.

I saw clear shifts from when the relationship hit turning points in certain years. I proposed a timeline in my head based on that. Imagine my fucking surprise when I found out other people have also come up with timelines, and more surprising yet, they were all unbelievably similar to mine, down to what changed in what half of the year. I, who had no previous knowledge that this was even a thing. I just noticed it all on my own. We were all seeing the same thing. The same changes. No red circles, no slow-mo, no mind reading. It's all in the body language.

I panicked a little because overall it seemed too good to be true, so I reached out to a taekooker friend to send me her best evidence videos and receipts because I just had to make sure I wasn't going totally delulu here. I needed to see that the other biggest ship had interactions and moments on the same level with that same consistency, maybe even their very own relationship timeline to bring me back down to Earth. But... there's nothing. Really, there's nothing between taekook. Not one moment where I was like, oh? You'll find hours-long jikook content videos that are absolutely jam-packed with content, significant content, but that sort of depth just doesn't exist for taekook. Instead, you get conspiracy theories.

I watched most of the videos on that best of jikook channel and several other staple channels. It wasn't as if I bought into everything presented. I still rolled my eyes at many things that were blown out of proportion by some creators, and jikook isn't free from red circles and slow-mo and bullshit. And yet, I was still overwhelmed by the mountain of crisp receipts dumped on my head.

Jikook have much, much more solid evidence supporting the theory that they are together than evidence against it. I took the facts as they are, took my social experiences for what they are, took my psychology background for what it is, and concluded that they are most likely together, probability-wise. At the very least, they are the ONLY pair in BTS that have ANY legitimate possibility of being romantically involved. If jikook isn't real, then none of the other ships have any hope whatsoever, let's not kid ourselves. It's them or none of them.

They also have much, much more evidence that they are together than with any random man or woman you wanna throw at them. There needs to be valuable evidence or a total shutdown for me to tip the scale. I'm going to need Jimin or Jungkook to state, "I am not dating anyone at all," or "Get out of your imagination," or a bighit relationship announcement, or a clear video of lip-on-lip action or very intimate interaction with someone else.

Frankly, I don't give a single fuck about a grainy pic/video when it's 2023 and there's no excuse for that. I don't give a fuck who owns the same vase or cooking pots. I don't give a fuck if either of them hugged a woman. These are not evidence. These aren't even as good as the worst Jikook evidence.

At this point in time, Jikook is still the only viable option with the information we currently have available to us. This is my opinion and I stand by it.

At the end of the day, the thing I want most is for Jimin to be happy. Currently, it seems that Jungkook makes Jimin the happiest (as Jungkook says). As long as that holds true, I'll be here. If that changes at some point in time, I'd accept it.

But until that day comes, what the fuck else am I supposed to think?

Taehyung and jungkook's relationship is overlooked by 90% of the fandom solely because they are so controlled by the narrative of the fandom/company that they cannot quite accept that anything outside is even a remote possibility. Ive been more of a quiet observer for years now [my sister's an army since 2015] and I've seen the boys, moreover I know how marketing and kpop works. It's quite evident if u observe close enough of the pattern on how this group of seven guys who genuinely love music is marketed you would understand to what extent you're being brainwashed. Im not talking about this like a conspiracy theorist. It's quite simple and right infront of you. Yall refuse to accept it that's all.

1. There are a certain set of stories that are made to be told by them, over and over again. Even if it disturbs them or they are bored. E.g: 2018 disbandment story, vmin dumpling incident, jikook rain fight/tokyo trip, mind you there are many things that happend between people who lived together for 10+ yrs but if it cuts the flow of events you are made to believe happened you aren't gonna hear from it, ever.

2. Like stories there are dynamics that each pair is supposed to portray Taegi as annoying/annoyed duo, taejin/jikook as flirty HS boyfriends, namseok/taekook the awkward old friends and no matter how much the relationships change or evolve you won't see it cuz again, it won't FIT the narrative that has already been shown.

3. Like relationships there are characteristics that thankfully some members chose to break out of during their solo era: hoseok always being sunshine and loud ( he's quite serious and very dedicated infact ), jungkook being that muscle dude who only knows how to follow his Hyungs ( he's very independent and has a lot of targets he wants to achieve individually, he's very thoughtful and organized) and Taehyung being WEIRD and weak ( he's extremely intelligent and super strong he's strategic and disciplined)

4. This brings us to the whole Taekook narrative, the fact that they've been seen so much during solo era yet people had the audacity to still call them distant and awkward solely cuz it wasn't via company but through Taehyung's ig or jungkook mentioning him in interviews etc. I think it's needless to say they aren't comfortable being touchy and showy on camera for content, hell if they were to shoot everytime Taehyung and jungkook hangout there would he enough CONTENT till 2067. They're supportive of eo and have a very big shared friend circle, when jungkook went missing for almost 2 months we got to know Taehyung was the one he was with.

5. The thing is everyone [ including my own sister ] thinks that Taehyung is being desperate or such whenever he mentions Taehyung cuz a. Yall have actually led jokers run so fucking rampant that everytime the man mentions him actually doing something you're ready to throw him under the bus and call him a liar or such. b. Im not saying jungkook isn't close to anyone else but when he isn't working or shooting content and just wants to be himself the one you saw him most was around Taehyung and yes it matters. In the name of hating shippers yall have not only dissed the quite frankly PRIVATE bond they seem to share but went as far as dissing Taehyung himself cuz of the extreme level of manipulation yall are under.

Ik imma find armys [jikookers ]under this sooner or later calling me names but to be honest I'm sick and tired of yall dissing very real people and their very real human relationships solely based off the content yall are made to believe is 100% candid. Go touch grass, get friends, go date, don't obsess over them for a while then come back and try seeing it from a neutral perspective.

It doesn't matter how detailed your spreadsheet is. We will never know all the times any of them spend together -- and we shouldn't. So picking the ones we know, or think we know, and saying that's 1) comprehensive or 2) that we know the significance is dumb.

People are allowed to have friends. I will never understand this argument that in order for one ship to be true, the other dynamics must be negative. There are several reasons why these are the two top ships, but one is that there is a genuine closeness. Jk and JM stayed up and played video games. Ok. So? If either was dating a woman, would this late night game sesh make you question it? It's weird. It also ignores a prominent third dynamic (which I think should get more shine): vmin - who are clearly close and love each other and have done for over a decade. JM is one of both of their best friends. Spending time with him isn't a gotcha. There is no villain here (unless it's BH/BPD, then cool, I'm fine with that).

But ok, if birthdays are your thing...none of them have said it's actually their thing. In fact, hasn't it been said that JM is the only one who is really into birthdays? JM and Hobi are regularly the only ones doing postings for everyone. The rest are pretty inconsistent. Tae who has said him and his siblings don't even recognize each other's birthdays. The same way people hype that video of JK wishing JM happy birthday -- would make sense if your close friend really prioritizes birthdays. This sounds more like a difference of personal preference.

And of course there is just the blinding inconsistency. They are closeted and need to hide their love; no they are filming their honeymoon! They are hanging out (from what we, the anonymous strangers of the internet know) and that is the measure of romance; nope, psych, they are tooo busy and it's actually kinda suspicious if you hang out publicly like that, clearly bro behavior. You can't only point at a specific period of time (that time being the present) to prove a relationship; see, it all comes down to a few nights in 2018.

You've got 8 weeks of content coming up (and merch!). Half your ship as an album coming out. Just put the spreadsheet away and relax.

I don't want to seem superior but I feel like if we had 8 weeks of Taekook coming, we'd be having so much fun with it. Remember when Friends came out, and Inkigayo and type 1 and all these things this year... Maybe it's because I'm not hugely on twitter but we seemed to have so much fun with theorising and joking about and whatnot. But even if that's just my inaccurate reading of events, I know personally that my first thought upon getting a TKK moment isn't to go find the nearest JKKr and throw it at them. I tend to want to seek out other TKKrs to be silly and happy about it with. That's why I started a tumblr! I wanted to share my excitement.

So I don't know why 8 weeks of the travel show they've been talking about since Suchwita has brought out such bitterness when they call it a win (But then to be honest I never saw a jikooker talk about it with excitement, only in the context of how it was a victory over tkkrs or hypersexualised)

I wish they would just have fun with it and enjoy it. At this point, I genuinely feel like there are TKKrs more excited to see JK&JM interacting than the JKKrs are?!

This anon’s post about how people’s relationship evolve for better or for worse makes alot of sense to mefor Vmin, jikook and Taekook. This is a take I don’t particularly think you or many other taekookers would agree with but it’s always been simple for me to read and maybe that’s because I tend to apply real life situations when I think of the members and their dynamics.

I don’t think Vmin was a narrative pushed by the company to sell Jimin as someone mentioned in the replies because anyone who has looked into Vmin’s history would know that those two were/are really close. Even back in the day, the members would always choose them as the closest not even taekook whom most fans thought were the closest when they were rookies. I think Jimin and Tae have that kind of a friendship where they don’t talk to each other all the time and don’t see each other all the time but when ever they need each other they can be sure that the other will be there. I think they fought alot too and had a good amount of misunderstandings especially when they were younger but all those fights just made their bond stronger. Are they always each other’s go to now? Not necessarily and I think things changed a little bit after Tae met and got closer to wooga than some of the members because it seems like years ago, Tae didn’t really hang out with the members out of work and I remember during seasons greeting 2022 when the members were asked what they would do for each other for the new year and Tae said he would try to spend more time with the members. I think before that he choose to hang out more with wooga whenever he got a break than hanging out with the other members. Jimin and Tae don’t seem that close these days but I think that is just growth. As time passes in our lives, we get closer to some people and more distant from others in certain ways but in Vmin’s case, I feel like they have reached that kind of friendship level where their bond is forever regardless of how much they talk or see each other.

As for taekook, I honestly think there was a time when they actually grew a little distant and just like with Jimin and Tae, I think it happened when Tae got closer to wooga and also during those times when it seemed like Tae was going through depression or something (not trying to diagnose). I know that during those moments we sometimes still saw taekook looking physically close but I feel like that was because they didn’t have any issues with each other and were still very good friends but just not as close as they used to be. I’ve been catching up on old content since I am kinda new to the fandom (2021) and I can see that within the period 2017-2021 it seemed like Jk was always around Jimin instead of Tae and I am not talking just about when we saw them on bighit content. I remember when Hobi was doing a solo shoot for one of his projects back in 2018/2019 and all the members came to visit and Jikook were together. Even when RM also had a solo shoot for Mono (i think) and the members went to visit him, Jikook were together still while tae came and left alone both times. Then there was all the shared rides together even after all the members left the dorm in 2019 and I don’t believe for second that bighit made Jimin and Jungkook ride together. Don’t know how true this information is but I saw some people on twitter say that the reason Jimin and Jungkook still shared a car after they all moved out of the dorm in 2019, until mid 2021 was because Jk also had an apartment in the Nine one, the same building where RM and Jimin currently live and in 2021 all the residents who lived there on rent were required to either purchase the property or move out, so RM and Jimin bought their apartments but Jk moved out because he had plans to build his own house. So Jk and Jimin shared a car then because they lived in Nine one and then the car rides stopped when Jk moved out around mid 2021 (which was when we found out that Jimin had purchased an apartment there) and went into that apartment which the company rented for him and that’s why he has the furniture from the old dorm because he didn’t intend to be there for too long. So i feel like during these periods, Tae and Jk were not as close as we saw them in chapter two but since they had talked and promised to work on their friendship, I think they both made a concious decision to do that and that’s why we all saw a clear shift in their friendship after they had that talk in 2020 and things just got better and better.

This wasn’t always clear to me but after I caught up on a lot of old content, I feel like alot of things started to make a little more sense because sometimes we don’t realize how little time it takes for relationships in life to change and I feel like I could understand it better because I experienced it in my own life. I had a bestfriend I used to talk to on the phone every day for about 5 years but I went through a very traumatic experience in my life last year which made me shut everyone out. My bestfriend and I didn’t talk for about a month and ever since then, things have never been the same. It was so shocking to me how just a month before that, she was someone I couldn’t go one day without talking to but these days we go weeks even months without talking to each other and all this changes happened in a just a month. My friend and I never fought or argued with each other but we have gotten so distant. When we do see each other, we are still very affectionate with each other and will sit close to each other and interact because it still feels familiar but that emotional bond just isn’t there as it used to be anymore. That is what I think happened to taekook but the good thing is that, they both were willing to work on bridging that gap that was forming in their relationship.

As for Jikook, I don’t think they were as close in the solo era as they used to be. I think they were on very different wavelengths and probably needed other people more than they needed each other at that time but it seems like around the end of the year, they were back to normal. Taekook seem closer than they have ever been before. I think things like these are pretty normal in human relationships. Relationships evolve and change for good or for bad over time and no time is too short for things to change drastically. I can attest to this because I saw my 5 year long relationship with my bestfriend change drastically in just a month. I know you probably wouldn’t agree with me but this is how I read vminkook’s friendship.

I am so sorry to hear about you going through something traumatic. I hope you are well now, or that you are on your way to being well in the future. None of my words will be meant to invalidate your experience, so please take this as another point of view solely.

I too use real life experience to make sense of what I see, I think many of us do and I think it would be nice if that’s something you will consider when reading my blog. Applying real life experiences is really helpful, but at the same time.. it can also make us project. So you have to take a bit of distance I think and take not only your own life experiences, but those of the people around you as well. A bigger sample will make it easier to test your own experiences against those of others and decide whether your experience is an outlier or something that’s common.

I don’t want to invalidate your own experience, but at the same time.. my life experiences and what I know of how people interact in general tell me with fair certainty that Tae and Jk were never distant. I too recognize certain behaviors, and my feelings about those are probably just as strong as yours.

Had Tae and Jk actually had a problem similar to you and your friend, it would have been cruel to air that talk publicly (and sure, i do think BH capable of cruelty). I think it unlikely that Tae and Jk went on all these years, wanting to be close.. feeling physically close and not working out the ‘awkwardness’ between them one way or another. Even if Tae spent so much time with Wooga.. he still would have had so much time with Jk. From what I know of life, this doesn’t make sense.

On top of all that there’s just so much that to me points to them having been fine.

I just realized my initial reply was only about Taekook. I think it actually shows how weird the ITS talk was if you compare how you feel Tae and Jm also were less close. Because why did they not need to work things out publicly? They are the soulmates even. Why was them drifting apart leas of a big deal?

Hey I’m new to bts and I love Jikook although I don’t believe they’re a couple yet because. My friend advised me to watch the original bts content before watching the shipper videos because they’re misleading. I’ve been watching all vlives, bang tan bombs, award shows, Bon voyage, and ITS. When I watched all those, I noticed that Jimin gives Tae more attention than any other member, I noticed that Jk gives Jin, and Tae more attention, V gives Jimin and Jhope more attention. I also noticed that the way Jikook communicate is normal and nothing suspicious about it. I then decided to watch Jikook videos because I accidentally watched one when I was searching for Jimin’s song serendipity and came across the Jikook serendipity analysis. I’m now in the rabbit hole. I came across your page and you talked about “the news article that was ready to out Jkk’s relationship back in 2018”. I just wanted to know where you heard that and if there is any proof because I’m a person who doesn’t dwell on conspiracies but rather proof. Another thing, did they really get married because most of the videos mentioned how they got married during their trip to Tokyo. Another thing, are there any pictures of them hangout and living together. Thank you.

I am so confused as to what you're talking about. I would bite if u said JK giving Jin more attention but V? What exactly are u watching? Are you sure its not that shipper content that you say you're avoiding? Specifically tkk content? Which ftr you will rarely find Jikook manipulated content. I'm not saying it doesn't exist but its rare. We don't need to manipulate. They give us everything on a silver platter.

I shared the dispatch thing not long before this scroll lower u will see it. No, Jikook are not married. They can't be married. And even if they did it wouldn't be recognised in SK. And at the time of them going to Tokyo, Japan hadn't recognised gay marriage yet. Jikook married as far as I know its something Jikookers like to say coz they act like a married couple. But they have been spotted with matching rings on more than one occasion which is a reason for suspicion.

Hi BPP, i know that i probably shouldn’t be asking you this but right now you are the only blogger i know who might be able to explain this to me in a way that make sense.

So i’m kinda new to the fandom (January 2023) but i’ve been able to watch loads of clips and pretty much caught up to speed with alot of content. I’m not a shipper but i were to ship anyone, I’d probably ship Vmin because they are my favourite members and Jungkook comes right after the two of them on my scale of preference, but i have always thought Jk has an extremely special and sorta complicated relationship with Jimin. It really confuses me sometimes but i know that those two have a really beautiful bond. For Taekook, they have always been very easy for me to understand but while going through some blogs here on tumblr, i noticed that so many taekookers believe that taekook’s ITS talk was scripted. They think so because, apparently neither Jk or tae had ever looked or seemed distant or awkward around each other. They bring up examples of them napping together on ITS, still hanging around each other and even engaging in skinship. According to them, taekook wouldn’t do all these if they really were awkward and distant.

I personally think they are interpreting the whole thing wrong but a part of me wonders if they might have a point. I don’t see any reason why the company would make taekook act out something like that, which pretty much shows that they went through an awkward phase plus taekook seemed very genuine to me while they had the talk and ut didn’t seem like it was an act. So my question to you is, what are your thoughts about the ITS talk? Why do u think some pple continue to insist that it was scripted? I’m just trying to understand the whole thing cuz the different opinions i’ve read about it really confuses me. I don’t think there is anything going on with taekook ofcourse (it just wouldn’t make sense) but i think they are one of the closest pairs, and people tkkrs misinterpret their partners in crime dynamics for romance love. Pls i’d really appreciate it if u can let me know ur thoughts on this.

I could go into a rambling detailed breakdown of why Taekookers believe what they believe (their only option in this scenario is to believe the convo is scripted, their theories leave them no choice), or get into how taekook did drift apart and by how much, or talk about the inevitable angle of fan service, etc, but the truth is I really don't want to get into it.

I don't care enough about taekook or taekookers to dive into it, so I'll give you the abridged version.

The obvious counterpoint to their narrative is to ask why their villainization of Jimin skyrocketed in the years during which taekook supposedly 'didn't' drift apart. The times they hated him for jikook's Japan trip, the time they hated him for the fixed orbit situation jikook had in 2018, jikook in 2019 were a problem too. A huge problem for taekookers given they couldn't stop talking about how 'Jimin was working with the company to take Jungkook away from Taehyung while lying to Taehyung that it is to protect his relationship, so jikook + BTS + HYBE were fucking Taehyung over in his personal life and his career'. It riles me up just typing it out so imagine how insane these people are to believe this as a core creed 24/7. Anyhoo, they knew something was 'wrong' in a sense with taekook and that Jimin was involved somehow, and this is plainly evident in their well documented behaviour from 2016 - 2020. In my opinion. Do I think they're right and Jimin is the reason taekook were distant? No. I think whatever distance happened is due to taekook's own actions. But I also think it betrays an understanding in taekookers, that taekook had drifted apart.

What do I think about the ITS talk? I'm glad they had it. I like taekook and had missed seeing their dynamic. For anyone still not sure if they indeed drifted apart, if you can sense a general shift of more taekook content after that conversation than immediately before it, what does that tell you? The sort of rapport between them now is reminiscent of their closeness prior to 2016-ish, and in some ways better so that's good to see.

I'll be honest I was still lowkey in denial about vmin because they've been my fav duo since 2018. But seeing tae make a post about jungkook and not jimin lowkey hurts... ig they truly aren't that close anymore. I have a feeling we got some vmin interactions this year because of jungkook. He seems to be the glue between both of them, and since he was busy with promos, I can imagine him telling jimin to go support tae. You can also see this when vmin were supposedly out getting drinks. Instead of just hanging as a duo, taehyung decides to want to go get jungkook to join them.

Jimin doesn't need lessons on how to be a supportive friend from Jungkook of all people, please. That's so offensive to Jimin.

Jungkook didn't even care to be there for Jimin himself, he's not going to be telling anyone "go support Taehyung".

The way it looked to me was:

Jimin was busy and taekook weren't, so instead of making time in their free agendas to look for moments to hang out with Jimin, they just said "whatever, we'll see him in a month or two when he's free".

Jimin got some free time, and taekook were busy so Jimin was the one seeking them out to spend time together whenever he was free and so were they. Sometimes, they weren't all free time at the same time but they could still hang out like filming in the US, going to music shows, etc.

There's another theory but that's way too delusional, and we'd have to go back to like November 2022.

It's obvious to me that Jimin is the one that made it happen and put some effort once he was done with activities.

what makes them your current bias(es)? ↳ mostly everything stemmed from their individual stage presence first, then the more i got to know them as people, it solidified things. so in addition to hobi in the very beginning, jimin and jungkook also caught my eye when boy with luv came out. i tweeted a screenshot from their SNL performance and said "these specific three right here..." and my friend, who was a more seasoned army at the time, replied and told me they were the dance line! so that made sense why they stood out to me in that choreo. when dynamite came out the following year, taehyung (who had admittedly been under my radar somehow) completely knocked me off my feet and kinda knocked hobi down from my ult spot in the process, though i still consider hobi the entire reason i ever gave bts a real chance following my "casual fan" era. jimin and jungkook remained in my top 3 even though i didn't immediately realize i had emotionally locked in on the "maknae line" because i didn't learn more about their ages and "lines" until a little later. it just played out that way gradually. vmin(hope!!!)kook, my beloved.

About Vmin, I remember during mots7 promotions, because they had a subunit, they had some activities together, and Tae kept trying to engage in fs (saying things) and Jm was really not helping him. I think tkkrs over focus on jkk and over analyze every interaction they have and complain about Jm, but overall, I think Jm really toned down jkk in the last 2 or 3 years.

ah, gosh, maybe i should come off anon, because i feel like you and i could have some really great conversations. I'm the same anon from the other day who talked about differing viewpoints/contradictory beliefs, and why i thought you were such a valuable voice in our community. I stand by that.

Your point about the things that you can't rationalize (mma 2018, jimin vlive 2021, I personally have a few other insane *** high points that I think fall under that pattern) is exactly why I genuinely think there's something going on there. This repeated pattern of high-point all-out otherwise inexplainable events that happen between them, on a fairly regular occurrence. 99.9% of what every shipper discusses is in the noise floor, or at least consistent across all (most) bangtan pairs. Jikookers are all insecure about taekook but didn't even bat an eye at that insane vmin clip that dropped just a few days ago. That kind of thing. For me its that there's a consistency between jkk. Like it's not every time, but that it's like an elastic band that whenever it gets stretched almost to breaking, it bounces back. Makes itself known. I would be interested to know your opinion on JK's posts for JM's birthday this year, especially in contrast to the post(s) he did/did not make for the other members.

I wouldn't mind comparing notes with someone who unequivocally thinks Jikook are dating or have something going on. 😊 No pressure, of course, it's up to you. I will say that I have more open discussions on Jikook and where I stand via DMs than I would express publicly.

I think where you and I might differ is that I don't think these high-impact moments happen often enough where it eliminates all doubt. And even if there were a ton of those moments, I don't think I'd be able to agree so candidly anyway, simply because of my own feelings towards RPS and the boundaries I've set for myself regarding it. If I were to achieve where you're at, I think the way it would manifest is that I'd have a lot less to say. As it currently stands, I have an opinion on most things. 😬

I will agree with you that I believe Jikook have been consistent, which I think has somewhat tapered off in the last year or so (but to be fair, there's also less visibility among them, so it's not for lack of consistency but rather we're just not seeing examples of it). It isn't that I don't think they're close, but this assessment goes hand-in-hand with what I believe is their new dynamic. That's a different topic altogether.

Anyway, Jungkook's birthday post. I don't have a fully fleshed out opinion on the matter. I mean, I do think it's endearing that he would do such a thing for Jimin–and so publicly too–but how much can we read into this, really? This is the same person who posted a photo of himself with Taehyung on IG and no other members. But neither that nor this instance is truly indicative of anything for me. I think this is a good example of how inaccurate it is to fixate on one moment and instead focus on his behavioral patterns. As it is, Jungkook's public posting for other members is consistently inconsistent, and that's all I have to gain from it.

What is maybe worth noting, however, is Jimin's lack of public response to the video. I don't think he responds to everything members post, but he is also known to respond, even if it's just a 에이이 ㅋㅋ. If we were to assume Jungkook's greeting was just a bit of silliness between them, Jimin making a funny or witty remark would be par for the course. Instead, his silence almost seems damning, but in all fairness, he could've been busy with birthday events too. Who knows.

This person also translates the way the staff mentioned always seeing the members when they weren’t filming and were resting in the back rooms. Please don’t take this as me being insecure but if we are to believe that taekook had been together in 2018 then isn’t it a bit odd that Jk was always seen with Jimin instead? And I know about our suspicions of bighit pushing Jikook but this interview was said by a an ex staff of bighit at the time who went on a interview so did they have any reason to lie?

Sorry for having taken some time to get to this, I was a bit busy.. and well yesterday was a lot of fandom shenanigans 🙈.

I don’t actually know of this ‘interview’. To me it reads more like a hearsay than an actual interview, a girl who knows someone who has worked with BTS. Also, it doesn’t look like the person was staff who worked with them in person or a lot, but rather someone who was present at a venue BTS frequented. If it’s actually something else, please enlighten me.

Jkkrs hyperbole basically everything. They hear Jm say Jk goes to his room often and suddenly it’s ‘Jk always goes to Jm and they spend every moment of every day together’ (this is me hyperboling a bit btw 😂). Are we actually to believe Jm and Jk did not spend time with the other members or their other friends also? Isn’t Vmin and Hopemin and Jinkook and Taekook and Yoonmin etc also a thing? Are we to believe Hobi (who is Jm’s nr one) and Jm don’t spend time? Yes Jm and Jk spent a little of time together, but to exaggerate it to the point of them having always been glued together with no room for them individually hanging out with others is just plain weird.

You can see the hyperboling going on right now as well, with them talking about Ays as if it’s a honeymoon in progress. It’s weird. It’s detached from reality. It’s proven to be wrong. So ofcourse they take the things that former staff member said and run with it.

Bighit did push Jkk in the way that Jm and Jk interactions were shown more than other interactions. Jm and Jk are often the focus, being the main vocal and the lead vocal, so it makes sense in a marketing way to focus on them more. At the same time, imo during 2018 Tae and Jk were very much hidden, so there would have been little talk of them together because of that.

Even though Hobi is the ultimate fashion icon, I lean towards Jungkook’s style a lot. Black on black on black.

Well, I didn’t exactly cry, but my heart sank during Festa dinner 2022. It was my first Festa too and I was looking forward to it, and then everyone just seemed so sad. I hope to god Festa 2023 has a happier tone.

Aaah that whole week before Busan’s Yet to Come concert. So much was happening, everyone was excited, I cursed my luck for not being able to go, but I was preparing to watch the livestream of the concert. That was before the military announcement too, and it was great fun

Set in an AU where Bangtan disbanded amicably in 2018

Beta Jin completed his military service and moved into a career as a television host, similar to Kelly Clarkson in that he sometimes performs songs on his show. He also does the occasional film

Alpha Hoseok and Beta Yoongi stayed in the company, Yoongi as an in house producer and Hoseok as a manager/trainer for new groups. They frequently collaborate and still release solo music. Hoseok served in the army and Yoongi did the civil service bc of his shoulder.

During his service Alpha Namjoon was fast tracked as an English translator; post discharge he moved to Los Angeles (splits his time between LA and Seoul), has a popular podcast in English but still drops tracks in Korean

Beta Jungkook opted to enlist in the navy and based himself in Busan to be closer to his family/visit during leave times. Afterwards, he moved to Los Angeles and lives in Namjoon’s beach house. Jungkook does not release music, which has led to fan suspicion that he has a new contract with Hybe, but it’s more of an open agreement where they develop him at whatever pace. He basically uses their buildings as free gym and dance classes. What the others know that the public does not is that Jungkook is hoping Bangtan will get back together for an album release.

Omega Taehyung successfully transitioned back into kdramas. Omega Jimin participated in a few seasons of a reality show based around dance, and then started his own youtube content channel. Jimin released one solo EP and Taehyung has dropped a ton of jazz singles that will probably get a special vinyl release at some point

Vmin are the only ones who have not completed their service since they were waiting for Jimin to be ready to retire from dancing professionally. They had planned on enlisting together. They are a happy mated couple in a world where omega pairs are rare, but not unheard of. However they relied on popular wisdom that claimed omegas impregnating each other was extremely difficult. This is not the case and Jimin ends up pregnant unexpectedly.
