I know not everyone is aware of MCAS as a medical condition, but it really grinds my gears when people come onto one of my posts and is like, “I don’t get it, just take iron supplements, it doesn’t need to be a big deal” (I already blocked them for being annoying so don’t go harassing them).
Meanwhile my medically complex ass has my two epi pens at the ready because depending on where the iron supplement manufacturer sourced their vitamin c addition, I might get to enjoy an expensive trip in the wee-woo wagon to the nearest emergency department.

Mary Winchester being the world's first 33 year old failmom who is also in her 60's was revolutionary. But I feel like Supernatural really missed the mark on her also being a Country Mom when she's not committing spree killings with her imported sociopathic boytoy.
She should have been obsessed with phone apps. Candy Crush and Words with Friends knockoffs, not even the real app because she thinks it's just like getting the generic brand at the grocery store to save a few cents.
She checks a Daily Devotional website every morning and despite having a literal Angel of God sitting next to her at the breakfast table, sometimes she reads a scripture and mutter "Oh that's nice," thinking it's God's way of communicating with her. Instead of asking his wholeass son to pass along the message.
She reads the cowboy romance novels, the ones that are So Straight And Christian that it's crossed the threshold into kink material. Widower Derrick with his 3,000 acre ranch, his three sons named Ezekiel and a daughter who loves pink and misses her mama, asks Annette Mae to pray with him because he's tempted by the devil to hold her hand without her father's permission, and Mary is eating that shit up with a spoon. Since she's been scooped out of the early 80's into the 2010's, she also has no immunity to cringe Hallmark movies.
As a product of the 70's as well as Kansas, Mary Winchester Is Not Immune To Big Silver-Laid Turquoise Bangles.
Chicken Soup for the Soul, a publication that has not actually been in print since 2012, magically appears on gas station reading racks when she and Cas are on the road. When she reads an emotional testimonial in them, she just tells the nearest person about it then says "It really makes you think," instead of crying.
She never said "Bless your heart" in the show because it would have been more potent than an F-bomb. It's basically the fastest demon-killing spell in the universe.
All I'm saying is that she could still be totally inept at being emotionally available with her grown-ass sons and still have a stronger personal connection to the Pioneer Woman than Sam and Dean combined.

Hahaha I can't eat at all today and I keep feeling like I'm going to throw up, why is my body this
#i'm gonna be real with yall#we're nearly at the point of me writing my gp and telling him that look#i haven't managed more than about 2-3 cups of food a day#and none of it can be meat-based or wheat based or dairy based so what keeps happening is i'm literally fucking starving#i don't know how to get to a point where i can eat and my nutritional levels are all low enough already before this started that#my doc wanted me on vitamin supplements which i haven't been able to source yet#so now that we're like a month into me being completely alienated from food i'm starting to have some real problems#cannot describe the level of fatigue and cognitive decline that's been happening for me and that's not including the physical decline#i've literally been huddled in the bathroom for like half an hour because i can't get my stomach to settle and i want to scream

Really random, but I would like to tell everyone that if you are feeling exhausted and never have energy and it feels like doing anything takes so much effort..... if you can, please get a blood test and see what your vitamin D levels are at
-signed, someone who finally got a primary doctor after years and found out they were super duper vitamin d deficient, and after 6 months of taking supplements feels like a human being again
#this of course does not solve any mental issues. obviously.#or people with much more complex fatigue sources#but i cannot stress how much literally just getting my vitamin d levels up from rock bottom has made me feel alive again#i didnt realize how bad i felt until i suddenly had energy again#truly a random post. i was getting my pill boxes set up for the next week and was suddenly overwhelming grateful to my vitamin d pills#oh if anyone cares apparently the normal range is 30-100 units..... and i was 8#my doctor literally went 'hmm... well i mean... ive had someone at a 5 before so its not the worst?'#like damn alright we need to compare to your worst off patient to my numbers? lmao

I am continually AMAZED by the nuöber of writing projects you're juggling. Doyou have a plan for finishing and posting each chapter/fic - like, I'll finish that, then focus on this before jumping back to (with healthy bits of 'ooooh new shiny idea HELLO' thrown in, I imagine - or is it more of a following yoir muse each day and we'll just see what ends up being ready to post first?
I do try to have a plan, yes! My short-term writing plan is that winter is hard. Winter is hard, and writing in winter is hard, and having so many damn social obligations during winter makes it extra hard.
This plus the past three months has seen some major life stuff roll through - both personal and work-related - that seem to have sucked the life out of me.
That said I think I'm about over the worst of it? I can feel my brain muscles starting to work again, and I've had the time to start jotting notes down at work.
So my current plan is:
1- Finish Ch 2 of OGYGGIYHNBGL (it's been months i'm so sorry). This is top priority. This is the one in the front
2- Finish one of the following (mostly by following muse but if muse had a limited menu to work with)

Ch 1 of the 5+1 sleepy jamie pavlovian fic
Ch 3 of the The Vacant House Behind Our Home
That being said in the past two days I've written about 2000 words of Jamie Murders Zava and its very very fun. But that's work writing on my phone so it basically doesn't count
