@/christian-latte-anon, you won't see this but I wrote it for you.
--
“Where is he, Pete?”
Pete Henshaw, driver and bodyguard to Vinsher Grath, nodded at the woman walking toward him. “In there.” Pete jerked a thumb over his shoulder.
Violetta Franco gave a tight-lipped smile. “Thanks.”
“Hey, Vi,” Pete said as she stepped past him. “He’s, ah…in the water.”
Franco gave him a sidelong glance. She knew what he meant.
“Nothing I haven’t seen before,” the lovely, dark-haired assassin quipped.
That was true enough, Pete mused to himself. He let Franco pass and assumed his position at the door, scanning the hallway for potential threats. This also protected him from seeing his boss in the state of nature.
“You’re late,” Vinsher’s voice echoed on the rock walls.
Pete leaned his head against the wall behind him and rolled his eyes. Here we go.
“My sister was late to watch the kids,” Franco explained.
Pete groaned to himself. Oh, could they just stop.
“With what I pay you, you should invest in proper childcare.”
With what I pay you in alimony, Pete thought from his vantage point. These two had been insufferable enough as spouses. As exes they were positively terminal.

Halo: Season 3
Not that I don't have like 40 half-finished Halo fics on my computer... but let's have some fun with fantasy Halo Season 3 brainstorming, shall we? These are just some notes I made for myself today.
Stuff That Needs to be Addressed:
Kai - Alive? (Okay, if Halo Infinite expects me to buy Master Chief was space debris for six months, not to mention an unprotected slip-space jump, with no side-effects and can just boot up with no muscle atrophy or anything, Kai can absolutely be fine.)
Makee - What is her purpose on the Halo? (In relation to the game storyline, what does she add? What opportunities does she create?)
Talia Perez - Follow Chief to the Halo? Try to regroup Spartan IIIs? Hook up with Ackerson/Kwan group?
Ackerson - What now?
Soren and son (Cassius? No, Kessler?) - What now? (Obviously recovering from the loss of Laera, but what is their quest? Maybe she can be saved? Not likely.)
Miranda - Escape? Hold up with the Flood while science-ing it? (Gravemind avatar?)
Halsey - Are we going to find a cure for Flood infection? Or is she a future carrier when someone pulls her from cryo?
Riz - Come back if her fellow Spartans need her? (Probably not, but maybe? What if her new home is threatened? Her and Vannak's armor is still on the planet.)
Kwan - What does she do now? Does she go to the Halo? Does she seek the Ark? What is helping her along? (Librarian?)
Sparks - Having two Reclaimers with opposite purposes. What is Sparks purpose? (Seemed like a more composed version of Sparks we saw in the last episode. Also, if the Flood outbreak started somewhere other than the Halo, it wouldn't know yet to want to fire Halo?)
Cortana - Definitely getting stuck in the Halo system and separated from Master Chief like the game. (Maybe can be the connection for Makee and Master Chief's storylines?)
Covenant - Survivors of the battle, also going for the Halo? (High Charity is still in play, I believe.)
UNSC/ONI - Do we have a marines dropping to Halo? Possibilities of bringing in Lord Hood and Serin Osman to regroup these factions.
Stuff I had questions about that was probably not going to be addressed even if the show got a Season 3:
How augmented were the Spartan IIIs? Kind of felt like they were portrayed as ODST with better armor rather than augmented.
Why were there child soldiers being trained if Ackerson already had his Spartan IIIs? Parangosky? (Definitely spelling that wrong.) Did he know? I feel this variant Ackerson wouldn't have used kids if he thought he was getting the results he wanted out of adult candidates. Or maybe Spartan IIIs were a publicity stunt, since the show really played up the propaganda around Master Chief's image, and the kids Kessler was grouped with were the real program? (Flipping purpose of Spartan III and IV projects?) Also, where are they now?
Is Violetta Franco from season one still around? I honestly can't recall if she died or not.
Feels like with how Reach went down in the series there had to be Spartan IIs deployed elsewhere to still be around. (I feel like Kai was very much Kurt in season 2. Cut off from all the other Spartans to train new Spartans, and given bad/misleading information about her job and who was still alive.)

And what is Chief's plan?!!?

My dcla relatives ocs and headcanons about who's related to who
Cause I don't just have next gen ocs, I also have some ocs for relatives they have. Many of them do not have names yet, but I may have some ideas of who they are. Also, this will also not only have ocs, but also other characters that I think might be related to them.
Camila has four younger sisters: Eva and Ada (they are not ocs but you know, they are def her sisters, born 1998), Lola (Born 2001) and Lili (born 2009)
Since Ámbar is adopted, her biological family very unknown, and I'd like to believe she has a younger sister somewhere from her biological dad's side... I have not decided if this sister is gonna be Isadora from Netflix's Elite, or a brand new oc lol. I also have this idea that her biological dad has slept with a lot of women and thus have these fatherless children all around the world. Let's be glad Ámbar has mommy issues and not daddy issues and never craved to know who her dad was, or else she'd open a whole can there. It would be very interesting for this girl to do a dna test someday.
Angie is second cousins with Caterina from Entrelazados. Caterina's grandmother has two siblings, one of the siblings are the grandparent of Maria and Angie, and the other is the grandparent of Sharon and Lili. Which, yes, means Violetta and Luna are distantly related. Although, Angie is only aware of Caterina as their families were slightly closer. Thank you Entrelazados for having like every dcla actor in one show so I can make all of this up!!
Continuing with the dcla and d+la connections... Luna is distantly related to Lupe (and thus also Pipe) from Siempre fui yo. Maybe second or third cousin, but they do share a great grandparent down the line.
Simón is first cousins with Morgan from Papás por encargo, and Leon is first cousins with Miguel from the same show :)
Gregorio and Rey are twins. Their uncle is Franco from Entrelazados.
Federico and Matteo are half siblings. They have the same dad, who left Fede's mom. He has never told Matteo about his previous relationship. One day the half brothers are gonna reunite.
Juliana is sisters with Alice from Bia.
Simón also has one older sister (born 1995), one younger brother (born 2001) and two younger sisters (born 2006) and I don't have any names for them yet. But they are there.
Ramiro has two older half siblings, a brother (born 1996) and a sister (born 1997). He also has a younger half brother on his dad's side (born 2002) and a half sister on his mother's side (born 2005). Also, he has a stepsister (born 2001) and a stepbrother (born 2007). So yeah, he has a giant family.
Jim has an older sister named Julia (born 1998), and Aillén from Bia is her younger cousin.
Jazmin has a younger sister (born 2008) that she wants to mentor in fashion and makeup to, but her sister isn't too interested.
Yam has two younger brothers: Manny (born 2004) and David (born 2007). She also has a cousin (born 1999) that she looks up to a lot, though I have not gotten a name for her just yet.
Delfi has a younger brother (born 2004) and she finds him really annoying, but she loves him too.
Maxi has a younger brother (born 1997), which he mentioned having in the pilot.

LUKA FAULISI
Tumblr media
ARIA
TRACKLIST

Latinx singers of classical music: a list so incomplete as to be positively embarrassing
What I wrote in the previous post in this series applies here as well:
Some of these artists are up-and-comers; some of their careers were at their height in the 1970s, when I first began paying attention; a few go back further than that.
Although in this case it’s more than a few — which, along with the fact I kept finding more and more younger artists, is why I decided to end my research and post this now.
I’ve included many of the younger ones solely on the basis of reputation, without having heard them. Not all are or were A-listers, but they are all people who sing or sang Western classical music for a living, or taught others to do so, or a combination of the two.
Assembling this list has required me to consider some questions of inclusion. Do the children of European immigrants who, in some cases, didn’t even bother to give their children Latinate names belong here? Undoubtedly many people will say no; I disagree. (I have drawn the line, however, at Spanish or Portuguese artists who decamped to their countries’ former colonies.)

Note
was there a specific piece of music that made you realize you were going to become a professional opera singer? a specific moment?
Hi @5lazarus! Thank you for the ask, my friend. :)
Acutally, yes. When I was 10 years old, My mom showed me Franco Zeffirelli’s production of La Traviata, with Teresa Stratas and Placido Domingo. I heard the music, and it moved me to tears with its beauty. I couldn’t believe that humans could make such beautiful sounds, that such music even existed. It was what heaven sounded like, to me, and that’s when I knew I wanted to sing like Violetta, the main character. Problem being that I was waay too young to start studying at 10.
So I got around it by learning the music: I’d sit in front of the CD player and play the same opera over and over again with the little libretti/lyric book that came with the CDs. When it was obvious that this wasn’t just a childish fancy/a phase, my parents got me opera scores for Christmas, every year for over a decade. I have soooo many scores now, and still use and cherish them.
Violetta and Traviata will always be my favorites and hold a special place in my heart <3
