My Simblreen 2024 Gifts: Regency Dresses and Accessories

Yes, I know I used that GIF for my porchlight, but I don't have time to go and take another picture and I'm drafting this the night before because I procrastinate and do things at the last minute. Anyway, happy Halloween, I am sharing my Simblreen treats publicly with y'all

You will be getting three AF dresses (2 for formal wear, one for riding), 1 Lace Collar Accessory (Found in the necklace category) 1 Fichu Accessory, and 1 Paisley Shawl Accessory (Both found in the glasses category), and 1 Regency Poke Bonnet (Found in the Hat Category). I also had a turban hat hair to release but forgot I made it in July when I was experiencing hat hair difficulties so it will have to wait to be released with my next hat hairs.

Below, I'm going to insert some pictures of what you'll be getting, I used meshes and textures from maya40 which she was kind enough to send to me. I also recolored @cringeborg's yplum riding habit because she had already converted it. The other dresses are just a long-sleeved version I made of these. The textures are based on dresses in real life.

Stuff generally works from about 1810-1826. The poke bonnet could very well work until the late 1830s, and the fichu could work from about 1750-all throughout the 19th century.

BGC, everything is low poly except the Augusta Poke Bonnet. It is 27k poly and I cannot decimate it without it having holes unfortunately. If your computer can't handle it, don't put it in your mods folder.

General Warning: I run dx9, if you experience any issues with not seeing some stuff in CAS that uses transparency, I'd run a batch fix with s4s if you run dx11 : )

I've had a 1960s spy themed lookbook on my to-do list for quite some time now, so when @surely-sims and @ice-creamforbreakfast released their fabulous Poppy collection last week it was the final push I needed to bring it to life. They've created so many fun patterns and colour combinations, but I thought I'd draw on classic Spy vs Spy comics by sticking to a black and white palette.

1970s Split Level: CC-Free Residential

Not really a "real" split level, just as close as I could get with Sims 2 building tools.

It's got a basement level with windows, then the main level has a lot of additional foundations both for the split level effect and also to get that 1970s sunken living room / conversation pit goodness.

Definitely not starter priced, but a lot of furniture that looks 70s-ish in TS2 is expensive for some reason.

The Bakers' wardrobe

Mariella & James, besides being a young couple, take great care of their physical and especially worldly appearance. Their clothes often seem to match in pattern and colour, but this is no coincidence: they both like to be admired when out with friends or at galas. Mariella brought made-in-Italy elegance and fashion with her and James is no less; since he married an Italian, he takes better care of his choice of clothes! Mariella, being a housewife, takes great care to make herself and her husband appear in perfect condition(apart from their home).

Now, it wouldn't be the 80s without curly (often permed) looks, so here's some, ranging in volume. Goamazons' Floris Hair*, simstrouble's Beatrice Hair, & @softerhaze's Rhiannon Hair are all long styles with cute curly bangs. simstrouble's Eddie Hair is similar, works for both frames, and rocks a shaggier mullet-style.

Kamiiri's got two hairstyles I *love* for this decade, the Simone Hair is a full, long, curly style, and the Celine Hair is shoulder length with beachy curls and just the right amount of volume.

The Kelly-Marie Hair works great for 80s looks, and the dresses involved are right out of the class of 1987's prom. It even has an Elvis-inspired jumpsuit. @casteru's Bodycon Wrap Dress is just that! It's simple and works great on 70s-80s ladies.

Hair

daylifesims' Long Rose Petals hair is simple enough for any decade, though I particularly love it in the late 1970s & early 80s.

My Fair Lady: Early Romantic Era Hairstyles Part Two

Alright folks, here I have 6 new hairstyles for you that are made for the early romantic/regency era. The earliest you could use these would probably be the mid-1800s, the latest is about 1823 before those knots start getting bigger but this is the Sims so do what you please

Here are some angles from the back and up close, yes I regret making everyone's hair dark, we're going to pretend they aren't the Hungarian noblewomen sims I used too

Some of these are a little high poly, fair warning (13k-16k). I've basically just edited my last romantic hairs, I have used a few different buns though, and different ringlets. The new ringlets are by kotehok but I've clayified them, and then the new bun pieces are from @simstrouble and @simandy. Everything else was either ripped from s4s or I've ripped off of hairs from @the-melancholy-maiden and @buzzardly28

These don't have a fancy thumbnail on them, just my thumbnail with my username and they're found toward the bottom.

Next on the list was the Powerpuff Girls, who I thought - thanks to their bold colour palette, fun personalities and adorable Mary Janes - perfectly translated to 1960s teen fashion models. Giddy Gaddy's Bowl-o-Rama: CC-Free Bowling Alley

Inspired by older bowling alleys, I closely referenced one that's in my hometown which was originally built in the 1950s.

Unfortunately they've sinced greiged out all the fun colors & patterns, but that's what TS2 is for - Gaudy colors & patterns!

There's 7 bowling lanes, 2 bathrooms, and a sports bar/grill type thing with the diner food stand, bartender, and pool table.

You may spot a gap above the bowling lane, where it meets the wall. That's because I lowered the ground where most of the lane is placed, but I did not lower the ground on that edge row. If I had lowered that part of the ground, the sloped section would be visible outside. The way I did it here actually makes it so the sloped part of the ground on that side of the lot is invisible (because that's where the bowling lane is).
