OMG speaking of Vincenzo + blood… I literally wrote a Vincenzo fanfic on the moment after Vincenzo left the morgue when his mom died…

Kinda poetic now considering this meta…

Here’s Bloodied Hands… while I write this other one you can check this out first hahahah

I wrote this before episode 17 but adjusted and edited it a lil bit so it fit ep 17 (literally just adding the fact that Vincenzo went to the morgue after doing his business at Hanseok’s place)

So I was re-watching some old Vincenzo edits and some funny moments compilations on YouTube.

And I remembered that... Vincenzo is a complete cleanliness freak.

Like it's the very first episode, when he's travelling in the bus after he's drugged and robbed. And the women in the bus offer him a wet tissue. And unlike other kdrama male leads who don't really have problem with dirt, he actually looks at his reflection in the window and he's like "oh my god, my beautiful face", and wipes his face carefully with the tissue. Remember his, very understandable, disgust at the sticky something that gets on his hand in geumga plaza. And the first thing he does after entering the apartment is take a very thorough shower. Like he's literally scrubbing himself, lathered completely, head to toe.

And it's a recurring theme throughout the show. He likes to get things done without any mess. He tells he doesn't like the 'throwing pigs blood on enemy' thing. That he does for Chayoung. And even though he's lived rich most of his life, he's very particular about the things he owns. There's minimal blood on this clothes if ever. The only time his hands are actually bloody is after his mother's death. And the final day, when he knows he's going to take care of things you-know-how, he's wearing black.

My point is that... The, tiny but very visible, speck of blood when he came as Haein's lawyer was left there intentionally.

Knowing Vincenzo, that briefcase is custom made, from real leather and probably limited edition. There's no way in hell or heaven Vincenzo would ever leave a blood splattered on a custom made leather briefcase.

But something else that Vincenzo is also very fond of is theatrics.

And that's why the blood was there. It was probably not even real blood. Just something he, or more probably Chayoung, had put on that very morning for theatrics and special effects. The special effect being Hyunwoo and Yangi's nervousness the whole time and absolute fear and jumpscare at simply opening the briefcase.

I think it's completely canon that Vincenzo then went to Jipuragi and went straight to get warm water and a tissue to clean his bag and then was like, "Byeonhosanim, you'll never believe what this did today".

And Chayoung get's up from her table and comes sits beside him and Mr. Nam makes 3 cups of coffee and our Corn Salad tells them all about it.

Let me put my two cents regarding Chayenzo on episode 17.

First off, it would have been incredibly inappropriate to have them cuddling and kissing or even confesing their everlasting love with all it's going down right now. It was an episode of Vincenzo changing his approach regarding their enemies. He was acting considering how bothersome it would be deal with the aftermath of killing Jang Hanseok & Co. Now all bets are off.

Vinny mourned, and Chayoung was there for him. I don't think it's sinking how IMPORTANT was her silent support. Her staying with his mom while he went to confront Hanseok. Her by his side while he mourned and burried her. Her sitting by him and listening bare his soul to her on his PAIN and GUILT. And her stirring him away from those thoughts letting him see how HAPPY he made his mom. How happy she made HIM. How he would be able to see once the pain faded.

Then there's the inflection point for Chayoung that came when the killers of Hong Yuchan payed the price of their actions. How torn she is after the fact. And how when she closed her eyes and all she could see was her dad's body in a pool of his own blood, she makes a decision. Vin doesn't push her, he didn't want her to push the button that would set off the bomb, cause he wanted her to STILL have the option of turning away from him and this path. SHE DIDN'T. She is in pain, and very troubled, but she sees inside herself how walking on that path with Vin is the right decision for her.

So, how can we be mad that there was no Chayenzo scenes? Wasn't all that happened MONUMENTAL for them? CY is the ONLY one V let's see his suffering and tears. And V is the one who will deliver his brand of justice to the ones who wronged CY. They are TOGETHER through thick and thin.

Now, episode 18 is another story. Luca is coming over. We KNOW CY is aware of whatever is happening with Luca because of the pics the actor posted. A new OST called "Always by your side" is being realesed tomorrow. An OST that describes the love line between CY and V.....

Bonus: Hanseo distracting V using only Chayoung's name is no coincidence....

Bonus 2: V's mom left a letter to CY basically telling her to take care of her son......

So, in conclusion, Chayenzo is happening stop panicking.

Who else is trying to practise the elusive art of having no expectations wrt a romantic chayenzo moment in ep 17 because we know too well the old adage of “zero expectations lead to zero disappointment” but failing anyway because how could park jaebum possibly do this to us???

I really like the writing here. At the beggining, Cha-Young didn't want to kill anyone, but when Vincenzo's mother was killed and he was in the cold killer revenge mode, she didn't stop him. Then he comes back, he has blood everywhere and it's obvious that he probably killed someone. She probably fears him a little bit, but the way he finally starts to cry while calling his dead mother "mom" for the first time... it's heartbreaking to watch even for me... So bad guy or not, I just want to hug him...

Gyeongja’s death has awakened Vincenzo’s mafia instincts. There’s a glimpse of what Gyeongja left for Vincenzo before she died. Chayoung, Joosung, and the people at Geumga plaza try their best to cheer up Vincenzo after he has lost his mother, his only family. Vincenzo promises to give Junwoo a merciless death and to destroy babel tower.
