helloooo <3 thank you for asking. i have chosen 'the priory of the orange tree' by samantha shannon for this one! it's most likely the only fantasy novel i'll be reccing bc it's not usually a genre i gravitate towards, but i did really really like this one. it's very big but i read it during the summer in a few days, which seems like the right way to read it. i love the characters and the romance, and the idea that there is truth to be found abt the world and its history in every mythology or religion, because they're just different ways to deal with the same events and feelings. i also have a very vivid memory of reading one particular scene while listening to lilac wine by jeff buckley and it was absolutely perfect so it stuck with me

I’m gonna be real with y’all, I don’t have anything super intelligent to say about this one. It’s just HELLA vibey. It’s a really good easy listening song, a fun one to just bop your head to.
