So a while ago I posted my vigilante Marcus+Dani designs, today I drew a little more for them:

So basically in this au (called "a house built of living light", or AHBOLL), Marcus survives Bionic Showdown & goes to Megahertz for help w repairs. Long story short, Marcus gets attached and becomes a villain/anti-villain. But they realize they can't stay bc Douglas is still out there & Marcus wants revenge.

But Marcus also realizes they can't go against the Davenports alone, & so hatches up a scheme to hit Douglas where it hurts: turn his youngest child--who doesn't yet know he exists--against him. And you can probably guess how it goes from there...

- has a twin brother named Chandler "Spike" Davenport. He becomes Venom (aka S.P.I.K.E - Symbiote under Protective Intel from Kalderan Embassy [yes ik it doesn't make sense shut up])

- His canon event was his 'best friend' Sebastian trying to take down Spiderbyte, in the process ending up as the this universes Lizard, and then dying.

- Leo finds out in a similar fashion to Ned from the movies, catching Chase in his suit, and then becoming his man in the chair.

- His goggles have cybermask technology in them, to shift his features so he's not recognizable (my boys got sensory issues let him LIVE)

- autistic + adhd + bisexual

- is a regular at Mighty Med (maybe it's bc of the cute, normo doctor(s)...)

- Adam is a Cheerleader and Bree is a football player and track runner. Thank you.

- His MJ is a boy in his science class named Mercer Jackson.

- Some of his villains include Marcus Davenport Osborn/Green Goblin and Douglas Davenport Osborn/Doc Ock

- Sidenote. Principal Perry is J. Jonah Jameson. (Terry Cherry Perry...)

bruh i posted a video about how donald davenport was an abusive father to the lab rats (almost a year ago) and the amount of people in my comment section telling me he’s a good dad or straight up that i’m wrong…

first of all, start an argument in someone else’s comment section or touch some grass

second, watch the show again. literally watch the first episode. watch the rats strike back. watch avalanche. watch perry 2.0. those are just examples of when davenport SUCKED as a person.

third, it’s literally just a trend i hopped onto and people are getting so mad about it? fucking scroll away if you don’t agree, it’s not that hard?

yes, i have talked about how donald is an abusive father. yes, i know he was the better choice than douglas IN THE BEGINNING. it’s the approach he took that was wrong. treating your kids like fucking animals (HENCE THE SAME OF THE SHOW) and never letting them out of your basement is normal behavior to y’all?? go get help, honestly.

douglas was the main villain at the start of the show along with marcus but he had SO much character development. there’s jokes throughout the show where they question why they were ever afraid of him (which, obviously there were reasons for that but that’s not the point) and NO WHERE in the show does donald ever show how much he truly cares about them. they won an award for going on a thousand missions and donald made THEIR awards night about him.

so yeah, in conclusion, he’s a bad person and a bad father and i’m really tired of arguing with people in the comments of that video so i just tell people to scroll through them because other people explain the point i made. if any of y’all WANT to see the video or something (or just check out my edits), my tiktok is @multiversefilms

Category 1: Something Wicked Truly evil pieces of shit I wouldn't throw my cup of water on if they were burning.

Cat 1: Duke Richards D&D is the epitome of evil. Now, yes, the crimes of some others here are even more heinous, but I will hate Duke Richards with all my heart forever.

Marcus Blackstock WTD I mean, he was feeding the people he was supposed to lead to zombies. If not for luck, our MC and Troy would have been among them. Fuck you Blackstock. He was the perfect example of humans were always worse than any monsters.

Eleanor Blake / Tony Kowalski CoP If you're cutting the hearts out of people you're basically going to hell. I think Eleanor is slightly more evil, because I really think Tony was ill and manipulated, but sorry, not getting a break. Glad they died.

Principal Jennings MTFL - This man was the evil father no one wants. At first he just seemed like your typical arrogant military asshole, but there was so much more. My purpose in the story became to destroy him.

Sen. Farrugia OH2 - Please. I didn't like Landry, but really, he was an annoying weasel. I've never understood the level of hatred the fandom had for him (hatred, yes. level, no.). But Farrugia - there needs to be so much more hate for this man. He is the epitome of where the REAL danger lies... unscrupulous narcissistic POS with power.

My Baby Boy Dr. Tobias Carrick OH - OK by Book 3 we learned he's really not a bad guy, but I didn't know what to make of him in Book 2. He was definitely shady, but Jesus Christ look at him. And the charm? Sorry, he could get it even if he never reformed. Don't worry boo, I've got the getaway car waiting for you. 💋💋💋

Olivia Nevrakis TRR - OK- disclaimer. I have a weakness for redheads. By Book 2 I considered Olivia a deranged friend that was a little crazy, but you know what they say about crazy people? GREAT IN BED! My girl should have been an LI.

Becca Davenport TFS - Oh, she was a horrible, terrible person in the beginning. I could not stand her. But then we saw her more human side, and well, she's hot. Beyond that, I really didn't care for Chris, and the idea of Chris's two exes hooking up - well, sign me up.

Marc Anthony ACOR - Which one of these kids doesn't belong here? It is him. He WAS a villain. He was not an antagonist. But 🥵🥵🥵and the sex scenes were 🥵🥵🥵. I mean, I didn't have MC PICK him at the end, but I certainly let my girl ride him into the sunset here and there. OK - off to confession. (Not really, I'm agnostic...)

Marcus + Marliver doodles from my Lab Rats: New Era AU (plus a villain Oliver doodle— dubbing it Frostbite AU now— at the end that I decided 2 finish :])

The Mighty Med retrospective clearly created a SECOND boom in the LR/MM/LREF fandom, Keyan Carlile the power u wield….Anyway I missed y’all. Still mad at Oliver’s mischaracterization in LREF RHGFHFG…fine then Disney I will just do it MYSELF.

Also I’ve fleshed out the Frostbite AU a tiny bit more, idk what I’ll do w it going forward but a handful of u guys were on board my marliver ideas and boy is this AU fun to play around with, muahaha >:))

Do you think Marcus should be redeemed/gone more in depth with his charcter?

if lr kept going, show marcus would have either been dead dead or gotten a redemption imo

Okay. But remember: you asked for this.

1- Marcus getting closer to Oliver in order to seem more normal. Like, it'd be a little weird if his only friends were these siblings right? (Especially if Leo thinks that's the case so they decide to branch out. But yknow, not too much. Someone they can still fish information from, and Oliver is the best friend of Chase’s boyfriend close friend.)

2- Oliver agreeing with Leo when he claims he's not a good person. Kaz is conflicted on it, since Chase likes him, but Leo doesn't. (Bonus points if at one point Kaz completely agrees with Leo because he's jealous about how much time they've been spending together, especially if Marcus really is trying to drive a wedge between them. After all, Kaz would care so much if they went missing, and he can't have that.)

3- Oliver trying to get closer to Marcus to prove their point, since Marcus already doesn't like/trust Leo. And Oliver... well, he likes Marcus more than he expected to. Maybe they end up staying up late calling, or stay past closing at The Domain, if that's in Mission Creek, or Oliver is late for his shift.

4- Marcus also likes Oliver more than he expected to. Drat. (Marcus didn't even know he could feel anything other than the programmed hatred for the Davenports)

5- I want them to kiss at least once. I don't care when, I don't care why, I don't care who initiates it, although the way I imagine it, it's either Oliver doing it on accident when he leaves in a rush and/or Marcus doing it as a goodbye because he knows that once he completes his mission, he's probably not going to school again.

6- Ooh, maybe Oliver writes about Marcus in his dream journal/feelings journal/kaz-stop-reading-my-journal journal and Kaz finds it.

7- Oliver being convinced he's only infatuated with Marcus because he 'thinks he might be a villain.'

8- Kaz having to jam it into Oliver's brain that A) Maybe he's not as straight as he thought he was and 2) He probably likes Marcus. Oliver doesn't believe this until Marcus is gone, and even then he doesn't talk about it because his dumbass is still in denial.

Other fun ideas to maybe perhaps include. - Marcus teaching Oliver guitar (I mean, Oliver does know guitar in Elite Force) - Marcus inviting Oliver to get fro-yo - Marcus talking to Douglas about him. Like, every time he needs to report about the sibs, he gets sidetracked. - Douglas is so annoyed about how well he designed this stupid android. - Bridget doesn't approve of Marcus. 'He dresses like a drifter,' 'Only the uneducated play electric guitar, Oliver,' 'Does he even have a home?' - Kaz teasing Oliver about Marcus, even when Oliver insists he's straight. Revenge for when Oliver claims Kaz simps for Chase (not that he doesn't, but y'know) - Oliver taking Marcus out for pizza. I don't know why I want it, but I do. (That's a lie, it's because Marcus get's all sad when he thinks he'll lose pizza night. That scene was baby.) - Leo doing that ladies magazine quiz with Marcus and Marcus thinking of taking Oliver out. We love that for him. - Marcus asking the band if he can invite Oliver, and Adam forgetting who that is. You can include him or not include him, I'm not partial to either, I don't think. - Marcus providing Oliver with hand sanitiser when he doesn't have any. It's one of those simple acts that show you know someone. - Oliver giving Marcus flowers after hearing his grandmother died. - Oliver buying a new guitar for Marcus after finding out his other one was busted, even though he knows Marcus did it himself. - I'll probably add more ngl. You could probably fill a completely separate book just for Marliver pov stuff with all my ideas for them.

(prepare for me looking way too deep into things)

I'm a very big fan of the theory/headcanon that Marcus' eyebrow raise is him turning off the safety on his heat vision

I really like how it changes the context of his eyebrow moments from

"haha I'm so smug and evil >:)"

to

"This situation is escalating, so I'm getting ready to attack you if you become aggressive + haha I'm so smug and evil >:)""

it kind of gives off the idea it might be out of anxiety

because him raising his eyebrows is a survival reflex.

I think Marcus' body is made of aluminum

because

Marcus is waterproof in canon and aluminum is resistant to corrosion

Marcus' body uses hydraulics to move and aluminum is used often in hydraulics and robotics because it's lightweight

he has heat vision and fireballs/energy spheres that come from his hands and aluminum can withstand extreme temperatures

NOT ONLY THAT, but Metal detectors need to have certain settings changed to detect aluminum over other metals, so that's why Leo's metal detector didn't detect Marcus

on that note, I like to think he's like a terminator and that he's got "living tissue over a metal endoskeleton" so his outside is flesh and blood, and the inside is all robotic

because I would honestly HATE to think he has plastic skin and artificial hair. That really bothers me fhdjfjk

The living parts of Marcus are Douglas' DNA for sure

Which goes really well with my headcanon that Marcus was designed to look like young Donald

Douglas just, casually reverse engineering his genetic code in order to make his surrogate robot son look like his brother

I also think that Marcus' bionic intelligence is what gives him his sentience. Like, a lot of himself comes from his programming, but I think the bionic intelligence gives him the ability to learn and adapt, and have negative emotions.

There's no way Douglas would design one of his creations to defy him, but he can't really control how Marcus uses his bionics. So that's kind of my reasoning for that plot-fix

I have more headcanons, but these are the ones I was thinking of off the top of my head since it's been a while since I thought about Lab Rats lore. Let me know if y'all want another of these! Or headcanons of other characters!

Something interesting I noticed is that all the main villains of Lab Rats(not counting Elite Force or the Mighty Med part universe) are somehow related to Douglas.

Marcus is an android created by Douglas and is basically Adam, Bree, and Chase’s brother/cousin

Victor Krane worked with Douglas. He also founded Douglas’ work after Douglas lost the funds/money from Donald and Davenport Industries.

Sebastian(along with Lexi and Tank. The other two students that helped Sebastian during the rebellion) was a bionic solider created by Krane. Kane never would have been able to create bionic soldiers without Douglas. He was the reason Krane found out about bionics.

S-1/Taylor another bionic solider created by Krane. Again, Krane only knew about bionics because of Douglas.

Giselle Vickers is Douglas ex-girlfriend from college. She later rebuilds Marcus(who was built by Douglas). She wants to use Douglas’ bionic tech to upgrade her robots/androids.

Troy android created by Giselle to get Chase’s super intelligence. The trio’s bionic chips were created by Douglas.

Dr. Gao a science that worked with Krane after the events of “You Posted What?!”. He used Douglas’ research on bionics(that Krane had) to create the liquid bionic thing.

Even Adam, Bree, and Chase themselves go back to Douglas. Douglas is the trio’s biological father and the one who created and gave them their bionics(same with Daniel). He is even the reason that Donald was raising the trio in the first place. Douglas even gave Leo his bionic arm.

There are few things in Lab Rats that don’t tie back to Douglas in some shape or form.

It’s interesting how Douglas actual impacted the story. Without Douglas, most of Lab Rats as we know it wouldn’t exist.
