I acknowledge that the season was cut almost in half so I should really cut them some slack but I WON'T, SO:

Plot holes/Forgotten Stuff in TUA:

(some of these are mostly just unanswered questions)

-Sloane?? Where tf did she go?

-Why was Jennifer (in the original timeline) in a cage? In Moldova?? Like, was she discovered to have something ( the dimaldo stuff whatever) inside of her, so they wanted to test on her? if she never came into contact with marigold before ben then why would they? WHAT

-also wait how the fuck did she get that stuff in her anyway? How did the dimaldo get to earth after it caused the end of Reginald's home planet? Like,,,shouldnt we know that?

-Her,,,in a squid??? she was Inside a giant squid? W h a t

-the S3 post credits of ben in the train. sure, whatever, that means nothing LMAOO

-I also can't get over - Five explaining "oh yeah when we do this EVERY ALTERNATE TIMELINE is gonna be destroyed, leaving only what should've been - the original," and lila fighitng to put her family in the train station,,,All the other timelines will be destroyed??They're dying and being reborn/reincarnated in the new one anyway GIRL WHAT ARE YOU DOING

istg the moment i saw jayce d**th threats i realised how much i overestimated cognitive abilities of this fandom. they were just happy to jump on a hate train without taking a second to comprehend what even happened. No but @korruptbrekker reached out to me and asked if I was interested in doing a collab (go check out their piece here, I implore you), and you know I could not say no to such a wonderful artist asking lil ol me to do something fun like this. We ended up doing a swap @laugaheim and I came up with ages ago that I so sussinctly refer to as a moodboard-sketch-lineart-render swap. Rolls right off the tongue, right? Nah but it's exactly what it says. Make moodboards, swap and sketch from the other's, swap again and line the other's sketch, and then swap once again and finish the piece you sketched.

Honestly, I think one of the sexiest scenes we've gotten of Jayce in S2 has got to be when he's explaining wild runes to Ekko. Like, yes, there's Jayce the academic, I have missed him so much. You can tell this guy has happily given Academy lectures about how Hextech works, that he's taught classes about it given how easily he's able to succinctly explain what is probably very complex research, and I find that just so sexy of him like yes, please Jayce, help dispel these notions that you're dumb or self-centered just because you're also built like an ancient greek god

(other honorable mention has to go to the look he gives the camera at the end of 2.01 at the forge like hello?? our boy has never looked so soft and so sad while also looking so ripped while wreathed in the flames of his skill and creation while simultaneously hating himself for making weapons in defiance of his vow to Viktor. Mel and Viktor are both in an Oculorum

The prison the Black Rose have put Mel in is what "Kino" calls an Oculorum, where "According to legend, the ancients built specialized chambers to seal away false prophets." It's unclear whether this place is real and physical, but it certainly seems to be to Mel. It's built like a puzzle box that seems to probe Mel's innate abilities as a mage.

Note that these runes are like yet also unlike Hextech runes with long connected lines and hard angles, like Mel's Art Deco aesthetic, and like the prison itself and its walls.

In Zaun, something was bothering me about Viktor's home - until Jayce blew a hole in the top of the chamber, creating a spiraling tunnel of debris. So now there is a hole in the top of Viktor's chamber with a "tunnel," the same as there's a hole in the top of Mel's Oculorum:

The aesthetic of Viktor's chamber is opposite to Mel's. No squares or hard angles, only circles and fractal-like spirals, curving like Zaun and Viktor's Art Nouveau aesthetic.

But how do we know Viktor's chamber is an Oculorum, specifically? Vi and Jinx give us our biggest hint when they find the wall where their heights were marked as kids:

What does the word Oculorum mean?

"ocu" comes from the Latin "oculus," meaning "eye." "Oculorum" means something to the effect of "of the eye." Viktor's chamber stands right by where the Eye of Zaun stood.

Mel is imprisoned while Viktor appears free, but is also in effect trapped. Mel is "the child" the Black Rose was searching for, possibly with magical or even semi-divine heritage. Viktor is a regular man made into a magic user whose religious imagery was not what it appeared to be. Mel and Viktor are both magic users confined to a chamber meant to hold "false prophets."

I just finished watching Act 2 of Arcane (I'm in fricking shambles omg--), but I wanted to acknowledge something I'm seeing rn

Jayce DISSAPEARED for a WHOLE YEAR (I think, the implications they gave us feel like a whole year has passed) into THE HEXCORE. The guy CAME BACK with a BAD LEG, HIS HAMMER ALL MESSED UP (even the hexcore energy for it became red!!) and HIS WRIST got FUSED with THE CRYSTAL that HE GOT from THE WIZARD. And he saw WEIRD CREATURES whenever he LOOKED at SOMEONE from VIKTOR'S CULT (yes it was a cult we can't deny that)

THIS GUY IS 100% TRAUMATIZED AND SOMETHING HAPPENED TO HIM WHEREVER THE FRICK HE ENDED UP

We NEED to wait for Act 3 to get an explanation as to what Jayce lived and saw, because if this hadn't happen, Jayce WOULDN'T HAVE DONE THAT!!! Or something is controlling Jayce like Viktor said (which yikes the realization Jayce will get of what he has done is gonna hit him so hard), or he's seeing something more than what they're letting us on, something sinister in the Hexcore inside Viktor (but ending up being the reason for the creation of the monster himself)

Whichever the case is, JAYCE ISN'T A BAD PERSON!!!, HE'S A TRAUMATIZED GUY DOING ALL OF THIS FOR A REASON WE STILL YET NEED TO WAIT AND SEE!!

just like Jayce and Ekko’s do after presumably escaping the wild rune……
