Rewatching, and you do see a tinge of Leif’s ‘darkness’ early on. His nonchalance about what it means to kill another man, knowing that he wouldn’t struggle with it, knowing that to him it was no different than a polar bear. He really just never killed because he had never needed too, not because he had some moral stand against it. I’m interested to try to pay attention and see how many threads they lay for that arc

Seriously, where was this writing in the first two seasons? A pity there’s only an improvement in these final eight episodes

Yuuup, Freydis just screwed her own cause. Olaf’s martyrdom is what inspired most of Scandinavia to convert

Freydis’ storyline seems very swiftly resolved and we still have two whole episodes to go???

Everyone is going on and on about the voyage to Constantinople plot, but it is honestly the one I’m the least interested in. None of these three plot-lines are particularly original but that plot in particular is so thin and stretched out to fit six episodes. At least the Jomsborg cult and English court intrigue storylines have something (slim or not) going for them.
The dialogue is still…. Very bad for the most part. Very uninspired.
