Once more, I am leaving the Viex-Port in Marseille, where I have spent a few delightful days (and attended the first of many Olympic events!) Watching the sailors come in in the morning, with the freshest fish, reminded me of this poem.

🖊🖊 for Zeegix and Viex!

Zeegix and Viex are researchers of natural fractals in Astral Ward. Their research partially helps with understanding artificial fractals and also the recent fiasco. That also includes understanding Alex situation since they're observing nowadays.

Natural fractals can be quite dangerous if not handled properly. Zeegix and Viex found it out the hard way. There was a fractal in which both of them almost died but only one managed to leave it. Something went wrong with the magical structure of it, which caused Viex to be trapped in the specific variation of the fractal (Silent Surf) with no way to trigger this variant again. Zeegix left it not only traumatized but also with very strange, new powers, which only Revenants use.

For years he grew to accept his sister was dead. It was heartbreaking and making him feel guilty but he masked all of that with his goofy persona. During that time he got to learn his new powers and managed to connect to deceased spirit of Commander Minerva. Even if the known knowledge on Revenant's legend says these are just echoes of real people but Minerva felt... very reactive and sentient. Especially when Zeegix finally met Michael in Gyala Delve. Minerva insisted to not tell Michael that Zeegix is channeling her or talking to her. He respected her wishes.

When Michael ended up cooperating with Astral Ward, he decided to join an expedition to one of the natural fractals. It turned out Michael came back with Viex. But how?! The incredible luck or perhaps the magical surge which collapsed artificial fractals also "unlocked" this natural fractal - specifically, it's proper magical configuration (something like specific map IP).

The moment Zeegix saw Viex, he was in shock first. Then he just broke down in tears. He missed her so much and hoped she didn't hate him - he had no idea how he could truly save her.

And some additional info:

For human standards Zeegix is rather intelligent but in asuran society he was considered to possess low intelligence. He was denied places which most asura went to gain useful knowledge and experience. Zeegix nature is usually to be smily and joke, so usually he appeared to shrug it all off but Viex, his sister, was angry for him and fought to accept him in places such as college.

Viex is the more fierce and blunt twin. Some could consider her insensitive or lacking empathy but Zeegix would strongly disagree with that. He considers her to be a very loving sister, who was ready to fight against asura society just to accept her brother, whose intelligence level was just a little below expectations.

Alex would run an account which shows Homestead decorations he crafted but between such posts he'd rant a lot about Wizards or vent how he feels like shit during some days then deactivate his account for 3 days then go back with new decoration post...

Michael would be posting pictures of places he visited. Sometimes including his face. Occasionally he would make vague posts about missing his family and his bond with them.

Zeegix would repost memes.

Viex wouldn't have a social media account at all.

Maelgwyn would absolutely have a thirst trap insta/tiktok account he’d enjoy the attention and think the reaction he got was funny as hell.

Louis & Pyrs would run one of those sickeningly genuinely sweet couples’ accounts on youtube/insta.

Sugyn would lurk on twitch or smthin.

Belial has one of those obscure youtube accounts that posts absolute nonsense and every once in awhile you get recommended a cursed video from them. they absolutely also have a cursed tiktok (and they keep terrorizing trahearne with their accounts)

October 30 - beautiful 70 degree day on Lyon. After breakfast, we walked to Place Terreaux for our free walking tour with Paul, a Dutch expat who has built a business as a Lyon guide. (Tish discovered him online). Our two and a half hour trek was great. Learned a bit about Lyon as the center of the world’s silk manufacturing and trade, explored various trabloues, covered passages through neighborhoods that silk merchants used to take silk to be dyed and then to market without exposing the precious merchandise to the elements or accidental contamination from anything being tossed from the windows of houses along the way (read no indoor plumbing). We crossed the Saone river on a pedestrian suspension bridge and toured Viex Lyon. A great walk and we learned so much. We also learned that while it was a free tour, Paul did accept a gratuity at the end which most of the forty of us in attendance were happy to oblige.

Our intrepid guide Paul. After the tour, Tish and I found an Irish pub (they are everywhere aren’t they) for une carafe d’eau, a glass of cote du Rhône and a pint of Camden Town IPA!

Il a l’air- il a l’air d’un nigaud absolu, d’une n i f l e t t e- C’est une honte, tout simplement, une honte, surtout parce que c’est MMS. Alors, pas un redraw à proprement parlé, puisque je n’ai redessiné que lui, mais définitivement une nouvelle version de ce pauvre Maxime. Qu’on oublie ce déchet des enfers.
