Hey guys, now is the perfect time to play Xadia!

This season's battlepass is halfway through at week 7/12 and the (free!) battlepass skins you unlock are arc 2 skins, and there's still enough time to unlock them all and enjoy the game!

Hey guys, my favourite First Person Shooter and decent enemy wave games is on sale for an insanely low price on Xbox right now.

Killing Floor 2 is on sale on Xbox right now for $2 dollars (for me in Canadian so possibly less depending on where you are). The base game is $40.

The ultimate Upgrade is also on sale for about $16 so you could get the base and upgrade for about $20, the Ultimate Edition is on sale for under $40 so it’s a steal in general.

Killing Floor 3 is coming up soon, and you can’t play offline from what I can tell, but for two dollars it’s still worth a check I think

if y'all have any extra time or cash, I would highly recommend the game GRIS! It has a GORGEOUS art style and sound track, and its only around 5 bucks on mobile :D

Just going to throw out a game rec here if you’re looking for something new and on sale this weekend.

Solasta is a very good adaptation of the D&D5e SRD with tactical turn-based combat.  You customize your own 4-person party from rolling their stats/class/ancestry etc, full character creation. and then assign them personality traits so that they’ll respond to situations in different ways depending on their personalities.  It definitely helps in feeling the party feel more fleshed out, but it by no means gets you near Bioware-levels of depths of personality.  Solasta is more focused on  the combat, but I thought the story on the first campaign was decent and the second campaign I really enjoyed.

There are now three official campaign stories with a new DLC, Palace of Ice, released this week, which can be used to continue the original, main campaign.  Level cap with all the DLCs is now 16.

There’s also optional multiplayer, and crafting.

Most of the D&D base races and classes are now implemented in-game.  There’s an active modding community that has added even more (though they may still need to catch up to the newest release.)

Speaking of modding, there’s also dozens of player-made campaigns, as well.  Like just hundreds of hours now of gameplay out there.  I’ve heard there are some pretty great player campaigns, though I haven’t played them much.

It’s on sale for $40 this weekend with the first three DLCs included, but not the one released this week (which is another $15). 

This is also a Free weekend so you can try before you buy.

Spooky atmospheric Game Rec!

"Where water taste like wine."

I bought it on a whim while looking for a spooky but not jumpscare filled game to play on my switch for the season and let me tell you its a hidden gem!

You play as a vangrant who lost to a card game to what we can only assume is a trickster god or the Devil himself in the form of a wolf headed gentleman, and now you are a giant walking skeleton with the tasks to walk around the country and gather tales for him.

Oh and all of it on tarot cards!

Its a fantastic visual relaxing but spooky game where you never know what kind of tale you will end up encountering. Some are spooky, some sad, some strange and some inspiring.

Long story short, please go look it up if you want a cozy game who will def remind you of "Over the garden wall" and "Old gods of Apalachia"!

(Its on steam and all the other consoled now!)

Immortal Life

Hey guys, here to recommend a video game. This one was recced to me by....someone on here. Sorry I can't remember who it was, but it's been a solid month or so and that post wasn't tagged (cause I was complaining about another game.)

Immortal Life is a Steam game in early access currently. It's a farming sim set in a cultivation sect. Yeah, that's right, it's Stardew Valley but Xianxia!

There's my little farm (all photos in this post are from my game).

The premise is that you are restoring a cultivation sect that was destroyed in a tragedy. So in addition to farming to provide food and to sell for $, you are gathering resources to rebuild the sect building by building.

As it goes on, you are trying to attract lecturers to improve your cultivation and "level up" your skills.

As you can see, the art is really pretty, and when combined with incredibly soothing traditional music, it's so freaking relaxing.

The setting is equally aesthetic, with a variety of shops and NPCs. All dialogue is in Chinese with well done English subtitles. I've only found a couple of typos so far in the game.

In addition to standard farming, fishing (more Animal Crossing style than SDV), and dungeon crawling, there's also crafting with wood and bamboo, and a pretty fun cooking minigame.

The dungeon crawling is fun, with cultivation based ranged and spell attacks rather than simple sword slashing.

So far it's pretty well-developed. I've been playing a LOT of early access games in the last year and this one is pretty polished and has a lot of content already. (I haven't run into any end of content yet after 15 hours.) It's a lot more complete than say Coral Island is so far, for example.

Anyway, I'm having an absolute blast with this game. I recommend it to any fans of this genre of game, but it's ESPECIALLY nice to experience being in danmei fandom and having a lot of familiarity with the setting and cultural touchstones.

It's a Chinese-made game, so it's made for an audience who understand what cultivation is. It's not explained or dumbed down for an English audience. I don't know if it would be really confusing for someone totally unfamiliar with the Xianxia genre, but the game is clear enough in walking you through the actual game tasks.

I haven't gotten far enough to really be able to speak to how the relationships develop or any romance options. So far, just getting tiny bits of approval is a little bit of a chore. But that's how it goes.

So I think it's very worth checking out. Full price is $19.99, I got it in the recent Steam sale for a little less.
