@veryimportantpeopleshow Vic’s Ex-Step-Grandmother was one of the most insane things I’ve ever seen, but also the most heartwarming. Great episode, had me cackling the whole time :)

So, Very Important People is so truly insane that I will not bat an eye at finding out that host!Vic has an alien living in their guest house, has employed their stepdaughter as their PA, dealt with both a crazy ex-step-grandmother AND a haunted doll as a kid, has frequent hallucinations about a man from the woods, and has now apparently had a Vegas wedding with a frozen dude from the 80's

But hearing host!Vic acknowledge Dimension 20 and saying that she had to watch it for HR reasons is what got me

Vic has been confronted with the merchant of death from their dreams. They discovered an alien squatting in their guest house. Their ex-step-grandmother assaulted them on camera. Their new robot best friend died in their arms. Of all the fucked up things that have happened to them, I'm obsessed with the fact that this is what finally pushed them over the edge. This is the greatest show on any platform ever. Give Vic an Emmy already.

the ideas the crew must have about canonical host!vic are the funniest thing in the world. They're an awful boss. They fire people on the regular. They're allergic to skin. They have a relationship beyond words going on with their stepdaughter who is also your coworker. They frequently pray to altar of an award on set. Their ex-step-grandmother showed up and revealed that she once burnt their hair off. After a while it's pretty hard not to start feeling bad for them because what do you mean they haven't seen their husband in six months and their entire family doesn't keep in contact with them and they casually and continually humiliate themselves on national television for a chance at validation? Also they watched two people die on the show.
