Sometimes im just sitting around and then suddenly I get so sentimental about the opening scene of s4e1. It’s Fiona and Debbie using the upstairs bathroom at the same time, preparing for the day and getting glammed up. It’s them elbowing their way for the mirror. Teeth. Hair. Mascara. Cut to them in their own rooms. A split screen, trying out clothes, finding their own style, debbie wears fiona’s boots… it hammers down the similarities and dichotomy between them, setting the tone of their dynamic for the rest of the season as that teen angst slowly rears its ugly head.

And i love it. It’s a sweet reminder that they are sisters. We’ve spent seasons 1-3 of fiona baby-ing debbie and acting like a mother figure, and it’s easy to believe because debbie was so small. Although fiona still does act like a mom, it was at this point that emphasizes that debbie is a teen now, that she’s the small sister and fiona is the big sis. She’s a teen now, which fiona once was. There are two girls in the household and it’s them. There is an element of girlhood, past the shared traumas and abandonment issues, the bittersweet truth of growing up and getting to witness someone go through the things you did.

Continuing my agenda about Bruce and Jason becoming the most annoying and dramatic people after fixing their relationship, and making others roll their eyes, because, come on, we all need that. And because Bruce is as dramatic as others; he kinda technically was inspired by Zorro when becoming Batman, alright? That tells a lot.

Anyway, no thoughts, just Bruce and Jason annoying everyone with being the most melodramatic duo ever.

Jason, appearing in the Batcave out of the sudden, swaying a little: Hey Dick, worried: Hey. Are you okay? You rarely drop by like this... Jason, stopping by Bruce's armchair, dramatically slumping over: I... I came here today, because I lost my last battle... Bruce, who senses his bullshit, but plays along: Oh no, champ, what's wrong? Dick, activating mother-hen: SHOULD WE CALL ALFRED? ARE YOU- Jason, sniffling: Battle... Battle with... Loneliness. Bruce, with a short smile on his face: (theatrically puts Britney's Baby One More Time exactly on "My loneliness is killing me" line) Dick, groaning: YOU BOTH-

Jason, spawning in the middle of the day in WE, behind Bruce's back: Old man, protocol 222. Asap. You have five minutes. Bruce, standing up abruptly: Oh, okay. Bruce, with his stern father voice on: Jason, you are disowned. Jason: Fuck you!!! Tim, who was sitting in the same cabinet, watching as Jason storms off: Excuse me? Bruce: He is either watching some movie or reads a book about daddy issues, so he needs to get into a mood. Please, continue your analysis. Tim: ...What the fuck.

Duke: I was always a little curious... What was your father like? No pressure, you don't need to answer if you don't want to. Jason: Well- Bruce, popping out of nowhere: How come you don't know what kind of father I am? Duke: Oh, no, I meant Jason's biological fa- Bruce, frowning: I am his biological father. Jason, because he is no less shit: Yeah, damn, didn't want to tell others, especially to Damian, since he will freak out... But apparently Bruce had a one-night stand thing with my bio mama. It is kinda a secret. Bruce, very pleased: Yeah. It is a secret... but you can probably say that, considering how alike we look. Jason: (nods) Duke, absolutely believing this shit, because had you seen this fucking family: Oh. Ok. Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Jason, beaming: Thanks, dude. That's why you are my favourite.

I think suguru would rather die a million and one times than let you wake up before him and make breakfast. No..YOU DONT understand how important the mornings are for him, you're all still sleepy and warm from the covers, yawning and rubbing your face, and you walk into the kitchen in one of his oversized shirts and cling to his back and mumble out a little "morning..." A.A.A.A..A.A.A..A.A.A.A.A.A.A..A.A. HE LOSES IT!!! HE LOSES HIS MARBLES, the urge to eat you in one bite is no jock to this man, he does let out some of the steam by embarrassing the shit out of UNINTENTIONALLY he would not stop cooing and patting your head and calling you his "sweet baby" eventually you're not as sleepy as before and manage to tell him to cut it out, to which he pouts 🥹🙏

I’m also going to *attempt* to explain the AUs in case you don’t remember/don’t know what they are (if I mess one of them up it’s cause I don’t know that AU very well 😅)

Timestuck - Mabel gets stuck in the past with mullet Stan (variations can include Dipper also getting stuck in the past, or one or both getting stuck with Ford, basically any AU where the twins meet/get stuck with younger versions of one or both of their grunkles)

Drifting Stars: Mabel gets sucked into the portal at the end of “Not What He Seems” and goes dimension hopping with Ford (meanwhile Dipper and Stan are having a horrible time)

Reverse Falls: The twins and other characters swap personalities, where Mabel is more introverted and Dipper is more extroverted and same with the Stans…I think? (there is also an AU where I think maybe Gideon and Pacifia are good and Mabel and Dipper are bad but I genuinely can’t remember what it’s called, I’m sorry if this is what that AU is called but I don’t *think* it is?)

Relativity Falls: The twins roles are swapped, so Mabel and Dipper are older and Stan and Ford are the kids, visiting “Grantie” Mabel while Dipper is in the multiverse

Monster Falls: The characters are monsters instead of humans. I genuinely don’t know much about this AU but lots of people make the characters different monsters so there are probably a bunch of variations

Reverse Portal: Where Stan gets pulled into the portal instead of Ford. I know there are other AUs probably more popular than this one, but like I said I’m not the best as remembering AUs 😂

I just. at the core of so many of kakashi’s neuroses and weirdness is the incredibly simple fact that for the majority of his life he has wanted to kill himself, and for even longer he has seen suicide as a complete non option bc of his dad. so for over a decade, he’s been going through the motions of a life that he does not want to be alive to live, and continually putting himself in situations that could plausibly end in his death without it being his fault. and the worst part is basically everyone in his life Knows this, but for years the only real thing they do to intervene is throw themselves on the sword for him instead, which does nothing but reinforce that this is what he’s one day destined for too, bc how else could he atone for what he has let happen.
