Excerpt from this story from Earther/Gizmodo:
Earther pulled data directly from the Federal Election Commission for individual donations and aggregator site Open Secrets to see just how much corporate PACs of Chevron and Exxon, two of the largest oil companies in the U.S., and the American Petroleum Institute, the main trade group, gave members of Congress who helped inspire Wednesday’s violence with their actions and rhetoric. We also reached out to these entities to see if they would continue to fund the campaigns of any members of Congress who challenged the election results.
In Chevron’s case, the company’s corporate PAC donated $745,000 to those House members over the past decade and more than $127,000 to the seditious senators. Senators Ted Cruz and Josh Hawley, who led the push to challenge election results in states they don’t represent and cheered on protesters, each received $10,000 from Chevron’s PAC in 2018. Cruz also enjoyed a $15,000 donation from the company’s PAC for his Senate run in 2012. Those donations went to helping re-elect Cruz and elect Hawley. On the House side, the PAC has spent $58,000 keeping House Minority Whip Steve Scalise in office. Scalise, who is intimately familiar with politically motivated violence having been shot at a House softball practice in 2017, baselessly said prior to the riots that “there have been serious questions about the integrity of the electoral process.” Other recipients include Rep. Dan Crenshaw ($11,000), who put out a Mission Impossible-style video glorifying attacking political enemies ahead of the Georgia runoff; Rep. Kevin Brady ($56,500), who began to question the election before the results were even fully in; and Rep. Mark Mullwayne ($17,500), who called the attack on the Capitol a false flag even as police were trying to clear the mob.
Exxon hasn’t put out a statement on the Capitol violence, perhaps taking a cue from Chevron getting dragged on Twitter as a result. The company’s PAC has, however, donated a lot of money to those who don’t support the democratic process. It was just as generous as Chevron was with Cruz, giving him $25,000 over the course of his tenure in the Senate. The company goes way back with Sen. Marsha Blackburn, who said she would challenge the results before backing down after the violence; their first donation to her goes back to 2003 when she was running for the House, and they’ve donated to her in every election since, records show.
Over the past decade, Exxon’s PAC has kicked nearly $1.5 million to guilty House members, basically twice Chevron’s investment in ending democracy. Scalise ($44,000) again cleaned up as did Brady ($52,000), which isn’t surprising given that they represent major oil and gas extraction and manufacturing regions, though Exxon could fund less seditious candidates and probably still get a decent bang for its buck. It’s also given to Rep. Mo Brooks ($5,000), who also went the false flag route on the attack and also thinks sea level rise is caused by rocks falling into the ocean (sorry, but it’s my favorite fact); Rep. Barry Loudermilk ($17,000), who wanted to decertify Georgia’s results presidential results, which is very convenient for him since he represents a Georgia district; and Rep. Elise Stefanik ($33,500), one of the few women in the Republican caucus to challenge the results, whom Trump praised during impeachment proceedings as a “new Republican Star [sic].”

Square Barrels, emerging and ever unfolding egos at Bishop, and limitless mental power - The Mathew F. Ursua sky, land and sea series
Tumblr media
And we’re open!
Now to Ala Moana Shopping Center.
Because of low income and growing up in poor environments, hailing from the most public that a public school can be kind of places, these security guards in the yellow long sleeve shirts with Allied Universal looking at the CCTV cameras from the little glass box where you can look in on them looking in on us for a little while before you cross over to Ala Moana Hotel where Rumors has finally shuttered so I guess you can't say it's a place for geriatrics anymore, in the bowels of the mall, would never even see their open secret.
That touch. Just straddling alongside him. I guess that's her boyfriend, then. He grabs her. They must’ve met before. But if they were to rewind time enough, break free of the mind control the victim's rights advocates started forcing on them through the news reports, No More!, all these rapes across the country on girls in dorm rooms, there are all legitimate, and therefore the addendum are legitimate, too, we made this very easy, we have a special one for the fellatio ad-don, elementary school, anti-stalking mentalities, anti-rape mentalities, pro pull out, an addendum at these particular stages of the sex act to get dual consent documented, I guess take a picture of your derriere, too, right, bent over your bed with your lower back tattoo, adding to beauty of the dirtiness I like, with the contract there and some proof of date and time like a watch and the newspaper from the day, proof of consummation and pre-consent to said consummation, really get this right, you know, if they break free of that, do a little stalking, get a little curious, de-hypnotize themselves from some preconceived notion that Marsha Brady, there, with the male model lookalike just all of a sudden straddling alongside her, well-to-do "haole" families staring at Trump International off Saratoga where they have Waikiki Beach Walk, or Royal Hawaiian along Kalakaua, this pre-conceived notion that you can't be the virtually trust fund baby on vacation, staying at one of those resorts, with full-license to just take one look at Marsha Brady, and grab his cat, right there, and take her. If they rewind time enough for indeed all of the right reasons, not the wrong ones, they're never the wrong ones, boys, being the wealthy landlord bound for a much larger lot in life than your hours with Allied Universal alone can give you is never a wrong one, if you'll rewind time for the right reasons, perhaps you'll identify the little cues, piece it all together, see even the look down to the micro-expression he interprets that gives him the go before he pulls her in that way. That'll be the one he buys something or at Prada, maybe the girl that hails from San Diego gets a new pair of heels, and this is shopping night so he'll get a Tissot brand Swiss quartz watch with a fine band of brown leather, classic, business, from Macy's for himself, and that's what we to do with our girlfriends, she surely has turned out to have impeccable taste and style, in everything, so she knows which watch face matches this glorious occasion, of you and I. Maybe rewind time, guys, and we'll all get somewhere, and someone, if not Marsha then Jan, actually. The way we all watched really grow up right in front of us, Jan Brady, at a certain point, we weren’t vying for her just to get in with Marsha, Marsha, Marsha, this was Jan, really the contender, you know.
And we will be talking a little more about this going forward, but watch this and tell me you aren’t absolutely convinced we are looking at literally Full-CIA.

So what’s the problem, here?
I need to start clubbing and socializing immediately, here, and partake in precisely these activities, in advance of, and in preparation for, the faster paced gambling-oriented, Texas Hold’ Em poker, or Baccarat, they’ve got that now worse than blackjack for full retards, banker games, I prefer the real ones on Bishop Street and Wall Street, but you start playing the Slot Machines that in Art of the Deal, Donald Trump prefers to own, right? We are talking about the environments the Las Vegas strip offers. Sure you’re “aging out of the system” as we social workers say here in Hawaii about the ones we try to help after the age of 18 when they’re from Foster Care, but we can’t help them, only Mathew Ursua can, actually, and it’s something we know. It’s better if they keep taking their medication. There’s no way the world can afford this many enlightened individuals that moreover are fully alive, that way. But there’s always Westgate for us geriatrics. And you think this stuff is crazy, all true.
Tumblr media
This image is one example. Square Barrels. Right there, across the promenade with ponds at Pauahi Tower in Honolulu’s financial district. Sure, it’s toned down compared to Bar 35. But this, it’s for the professionals. It's for us $75,000-plus a year earning, JD from William S. Richardson School of Law civil lawyers and, okay, even if you’re Title Guaranty, you can afford Square Barrels, too. You go there. We can achieve access to intimacy and human sexuality with similarly well endowed and like-minded partners, professionals, business oriented, take them to bed and hike up TheDress on them in our Ward Village or Kapiolani Boulevard condominiums, right from there. Of course I analyzed the crowd, it’s also for Doing Deal. We can have full old boys club. Lunch for “the team.” I was studying that place pretty closely for a couple of hours one evening. There’s a lot to be gleaned from the height of the bar counters, the stools, the menu, the unique layout and interior decoration, the commercial space being full look right through from the outside, we built a glass house, us Bank of Hawaii BSEcon private bankers, here on Bishop Street, but we have these big partitions on the inside hiding us from view, mostly, as we “wine and dine” our prey in the booths. You see those two working professionals there, of course it’s the whole girlfriend from another office thing. There's a pretty good lunch special today, but I’d say decent quality, they’re very decent quality, this passes my inspection kind of ladies, going in there. As I’ve studied restaurants all across the American southwest and throughout Hawaii, there’s always something like the host’s counter, in these places, even at a chain American diner like Dennys, and it’s where you’re going to wait to be seated. You go in. And if it’s crowded, you’re going to have to wait a bit, but during certain hours, and we all get this innate feel, by the way, for the environments we like and Bar 35 and Square Barrels, similarly, you look at the Google crowd counters, they peak at certain times and then they really slow down, things are going to get really quiet, and it’s as simple as some of us like lunch and some of us like dinner but you know what I mean. The differing atmospheres presented by these establishments, says a little about our personalities, preferences, and cognitive styles and even overall general cognitive ability, to the extent that there is a kind of tolerance level for noise and stimuli, a threshold, that is informed by one’s ability to filter out the unnecessary. You’re going to think about clubbing and hooking up in a bar, here.
The reason my head is so slow and creative, “designer,” like a liberal democrat, and by extension I really wouldn’t be able until this sexual and cognitive awakening, here, actually do any work or be of any real use in an office setting, really exercise my incredible leadership and business acumen, is because my lack of ever having been “socialized” into these settings, leaves half or more of the entire universe of human experience undetectable and therefore off limits to me. I’m talking about literally entire domains of the human experience, here. This is beta to gamma hertz ranges measured by electrodes when they stick it on your head. This is the incredibly visual spatial, you’re looking at cognitive batteries, this is the digit span kind of stuff, the symbol swapping kind of stuff, real Yaeggi N-back task kind of stuff that we’re going to have these gains. And the only cure for this, this is depression outside the “mood,” stuff the clinical psychologists look for and they’ve got Prozac for you to keep you earning minimum wage taking calls at the call center, this is depression of the existence of the human by keeping these “waves” from the reality around us from reaching us and, even worse, us from affecting them. This is a worthless existence, and it is evidenced by lack of resources to be in environments where moving toward sexual contact is encouraged, rather than discouraged, and where the girls simply through their presence in that location, in that venue, are saying, “sweep me off my feet,” and want to be taken back to their apartments or homes and have sex.
Tumblr media
In the words of one BIlly Zane, in the 1997 Hollywood blockbuster, Titanic, “I hope you two enjoy your time together.” These ultra-conservative wealth-defenders just had to get on YouTube and say Cal’s the good guy, he’s really the good guy. It isn’t impressing Paris Hilton, Gia Pirrolo, or Olivia Jade Gianulli, unfortunately for you. But the thing with stories, with these antagonists, it’s the circumstance itself that makes them the enemy. With that gun in his hand, and something to fight for, for once. I put the jewel in the coat. And I put the coat on her.
That’s how we say I love you in Rich-Family.
Rose descending the steps at Aloha Tower, this time to get it right, you remember? I talked about the argument from Vale, Colorado. Sexual morality and hands-off, that really changes when the religion of slavery leaves the picture. Turns out that place was Honolulu’s very own City University, and I take it that mezzanine level was probably student housing. Those “rules,” and policies they put forth that still don’t appease the liberal democrats enough to stop them from raiding their campus at UC Berkeley for pussy they’ll never find that way. They might have to make me a professor with his own yacht docked at Ward Village, if you know what I mean. And now we’re talking. The Old Spaghetti Factory. Right around the corner. Maybe then, those rules we were all taught, all bets, they’re off the table. Maybe just maybe.
That’s how we say I love you in Rich-Family.

Hyde X Reader (That 70′s Show)
Wanted to give second person a chance, and I also wanted to give writing as Steven Hyde a chance! (As he is my favorite character!)
You are one of the group, and you have a crush on Hyde!
(Hope I did okay!)
You're sitting in Eric Forman's basement, like you normally would, with your friends. But today is different. Today, you're alone. Eric and Donna are off on a date, Kelso and Jackie were as well. Fez even had plans tonight. You sigh, running a hand in your [color] hair. Your mind wanders as you switch on the Tv and flop onto the couch. You suddenly think of his blue eyes, and all that curly hair.
You’ve liked Hyde for a while now. The only people who know are Donna and Jackie, as far as you know. You’re always teasing him, too. The kind of teasing teens do when they are trying to “discretely” flirt with another, a way of indirect flirting.  He does it back, but he doesn’t quite get you, you are a mystery to Hyde. You sigh again, and prop your head in your hands. “Does he like me at all, aside from a friendship?” you question, then shake your head. “Focus on the Brady’s” you say to yourself, and watch the black and white family, but yet, you wonder what Hyde is up to at this very moment.
Suddenly, the basement door swings open and there he is, Steven Hyde.
“Damn it, [Your name]!” He says, his voice is louder than normal, the door slams. Hopefully Kitty and Red can’t hear it.
“Hey, Hyde.” You say, slightly alarmed by him. “What’s up-”
He cuts you off, getting closer. “Don’t play stupid with me, [lastname].”
“What do you mean?”  you ask, innocently.
“You think I haven’t caught on to how you’ve been acting? The twirling of your hair, all that flirting crap?”
Your hands move self consciously to your hair. “Hyde I-...What’s this about?”
His cheeks flush, and he groans out. “Its nothing…”  You tilt your head. Its clearly nothing.
“Look, Hyde. I know we joke around alot, and we tease and stuff...But if something's on your mind-”
“Nothing is on my mind” Hyde snaps and you sigh.
“Fine, Steven. Push me away.” You turn your head
“[Your name]--”
You can’t help but chuckle, suddenly, its like he was sincere.
He looks away. “Quit doing that.”
You giggle. “Doing what?” You sigh. “Steven, we’ve known each other for a while now, since I moved to Point Place. You and the gang have been really good to me. You don’t have to bottle up your feelings around me.” You move closer, turning his face towards yours, touching his cheek softly. “I’m here for you.”
He looks at you from over his glasses, slightly in disbelief at first. “Damn, [your name]...” He chuckles. “You’re something. One moment you’re picking on me like one of the guys, the next, this.” He thinks for a moment,  and he then finds himself looking into your [color] eyes. “I could kiss you right now.”
You blush, remembering the story Donna told you about the night at the Disco, when her and Hyde were dancing, and he said the same thing to her. You want to kiss Hyde more than anything, but you know he probably doesn’t mean it. Maybe he’s had too much to drink, and he doesn’t mean it. Maybe he’s joking around with you, like usual. You pull away and clear your throat.
“Darn that Marsha.”  you say awkwardly and Hyde rolls his eyes and turns from you.  Something is clearly bottling something again.  After a moment or so of silence, you turn to him He’s eating a pop now. “Hyde, if I liked someone, what should I do about it?”
“What’re you asking me for?”
You shrug, you are trying to find out how to tell Hyde you like him, but you’re not sure how to do it at this point.  He groans. “I don’t get you, [Your full name]!” You looked shocked, he starts to head for the door, you quickly get up after him. “Steven wait!” You grab his wrist. Suddenly, you two are face to face, looking into one another's eyes again. You suddenly reach up, and kiss his lips. Its unexpected by Hyde, good. He’s taken off guard, but he’s not pulling from you. You break your kiss, and its silent afterwards.
He clears his throat. “That was-”
“Awkward? I knew it.” You’re blushing, and you turn from him.
“[Your name]--” He turns you to him, then smirks. “I had a feeling you liked me.”
“Shutup.” is all you manage to say.
“Its cute, [your last name]”
“I don’t get you…”
“Just the way I like it.”  He says, grabbing your waist. “If I’m honest, I’ve liked you for a damn long time. I  just never could admit it.”
You blush.  “Steven…”
The two of you are holding each other, he gives you a soft kiss on the lips.

I realize I never really talk much about my other family, I just figured no one would really find my life all that interesting, regardless I have a mom (duh) her name is Marsha. Yeah yeah get out your brady bunch jokes. She’s a real estate agent and does pretty well. She’s tried a few times to get me to join her, but the payment of classes and finding out you don’t make cash unless you actually sell a house is very off putting. I also have a little sister Kameron but I call her Kami, she’s 4 years old now. How’d ya like that for a sweet sixteen gift? Mom telling you she’s pregnate at 36 lol. My father isn’t in the picture he passed away when I was a infant still, so sorry I have no epic stories to tell you about him. But on to brighter topics, my mom recently called a few weeks ago (I don’t think it major to share every little thing I do) basically to tell me she was moving closer to me in brindleton after getting a great deal on a fairly large house. I was of course excited after moving out from home and windenburg, so hearing she would be closer was a breathe of fresh air. I missed her and Kami and my fur babies Chicco and Chloe. She talked about how nana would be moving in too (my grandmother), apparently the place was like 5 bedroom and 3 bathrooms.  But to make a long story short she wanted me to come by and see her as soon as everything was settled and organized.
“Kami misses you to death, and the dogs have been moping around, it’s not the same without you being around. I know you’re busy but you should always make time for family.” Corinna’s mother would fuss.
Corinna sighed quietly “I know ma, and I promise I’ll come by like last month...”
“Mmmmhmmm well now that we are practically in the same area, you don’t have any other excuse not to come visit....And walk the dogs, and clean up after them, and spend time with your sister, and your grandmother you know she not always gonna be around and another thing I-.”
“Ma! I’m sorry like I said I promise to see you after you’ve settled in, my slate is completely clean I swear.” not wanting to hear her mother nag any further. After her sworn promise they continued to catch up on past events since them being apart.

“He isn’t shooting at me. Trying to set me up. Expecting I’d vault towards him...
...but he thinks like a blunt instrument. Hits like one, too, don’t forget...
Nightwing would clean his clock. I have to play it smart. Luckily, outsmarting him won’t be difficult.
I have more training. I’m more agile. All he has is brute strength. And two modified Glocks.
And apparently, he’s stupid enough to use them in a crowded street.
You’d think I’d stop being surprised by his choices by now. Jason’s problem is his insecurity--he’s the Jan Brady of the Bat-Family.
(and yes, I know that makes me Cindy.)
So he overcompensates--tries too hard to impress, to succeed--goes to extremes.
But...with Batman gone...
...what if part of him is right?
Not the killing--spraying bullets around like an idiot--but making tougher...harder...choices...?
If Gotham’s prisons won’t hold someone like Jason, what other choices are there?
I better make up my mind pretty soon...”  ~Tim Drake-Wayne (Robin #177)
It is such a shame that the series got rebooted shortly after this. I really liked the way the characters were developing. Especially the relationships between the Bat-Kids. They were completely 100% siblings.
I loved the way Tim thought of Jason during this era of the comics. First, he looks up to him as a shining example of what he could be. Not that he thought Jason was perfect, but he understood how hard Jason worked to be Robin and that gave Tim hope that he could be just as heroic. After Jason’s return, its very much like a little brother who realizes his big brother is problematic but also sees the potential in him -the good- and really wants to believe that that part of him will win out in the end. He even helps Jason break out of prison in order to give the chance to be that person.
I would have loved to see how all of that played out later. At least we have little gems like this. I especially adore how well Tim understands Jason, and that Jason recognizes that (to an extent -cue aforementioned insecurity). Tim doesn’t blame Jason’s actions on anyone or anything else, but doesn’t treat it as Jason turning to the dark side or something. Tim’s probably the first member of the family to really see him for who he is post-death. It makes sense, when you think about it. Tim is very familiar with trauma by this point.
Also, if Jason is Jan and Tim is Cindy, then clearly Dick is Marsha and Damian is Cousin Oliver and I love it. So fitting. Why has no one made fan art about that?

AHCA and Mid Term Elections
Mid term elections are Tuesday, November 6, 2018. It's quite some time from now, but I hope people will be able to keep that in the back of their minds, at the very least. I know I don't have friends in too many states, so please share this around if it's not too much trouble. Such is the problem with gerrymandering and the population spread in the United States, in many states it is difficult for Democrats to get representation in states that are largely Republican. Obviously this is a vice versa situation, but all those who voted yes on the bill are Republicans, so it's not exactly an issue that is bipartisan. Below is a list, by district, of all state representatives who voted Yes on the AHCA (American Health Care Act" or "Trumpcare" to pass the House of Representatives with a vote of 217 to 213. Below is also the phone number for each representative if you'd like to call and voice your opinion of the act. You can find your district and representative by entering your zipcode at this website. At the very least, I hope you will share this for friends or family members who view this as the important issue that it is. Thank you! 5 Daily Wellness Tips to Improve Your Health Now
June 6, 2020 7 min read
Opinions expressed by Entrepreneur contributors are their own.
Meditate! Be Grateful! Journal! It’s starting to sound a lot like “Marsha! Marsha! Marsha!” from The Brady Bunch. I now know what Jan must have felt like. Daily, if not hourly, we are bombarded with much of the same information on how to improve our overall health and well-being. While all of those practices certainly work and are valuable, there are a few methods that do not get as much air time.
The following tips might sound a bit strange and counterintuitive, but not only are they effective, but they are also cost and time-efficient.
1. Contrast therapy
Being told to take a cold shower and sober up may have more than one meaning after all. Contrast therapy or hydrotherapy is a process in which you take your body from one temperature extreme to the other through the use of hot and cold water. This centuries-old practice is widely known for its many benefits.

Ranging from inflammation reduction, accelerated tissue repair and improved circulation, contrast therapy is no longer just primarily for athletes. “It has the ability to help tone the autonomic nervous system in ways few things can,” says Dr. Kelly Bender, founder of the Pure Vitality Rejuvenation Center located in Los Angeles, California.
People seeking to increase their energy, sharpen focus and enhance overall mood have started to incorporate contrast therapy into their daily life. According to Dr. Bender, “The easiest but still very effective way to use it is by simply ending your showers with 30 seconds of cold water. Start with cool water one day and work your way up to full-on cold. Ending your shower with about 30 seconds of cold has a different effect than taking entire cold showers. Having a quick burst at the end will actually cause your body to react and heat up more”. The intensity and duration of the shower can be adjusted depending on your preference and tolerance. No matter how small you start one thing is certain, you will have the ability to get comfortable with being uncomfortable real fast.
2. Sunlight
It’s known that sunlight is an actual physiological human need. More often than not, we think about the sun in terms of how over-exposure leads to skin cancer, eye injuries and premature aging. But depending on the time of day, the sun brings a lot of reward with reduced risk.
The golden hours to reap the benefits of sunlight are between 7 am to 9 am, as opposed to later in the day when the sun’s rays are the strongest. When our skin is exposed to sunlight, it triggers the production of vitamin D, aka the “sunshine” vitamin. Aside from just building bones, D plays a major role in strengthening our immune system. If you’ve been having trouble sleeping, oddly enough, sunlight is extremely powerful in regulating our circadian rhythm, the body’s internal alarm clock. Misalignment of the circadian rhythm not only throws off our sleep/wake cycle, but our ability to handle stress is severely diminished. If you are still not convinced, take into account that the phrase “sunny disposition” holds some merit. Sunlight increases serotonin, the feel-good hormone which helps us to feel calm, focused and promote overall well-being.

A few simple ways you can invite 15 to 20 minutes of morning sun into daily routine include going for a quick walk or any other type of activity. If you are pressed for time you can get smaller amounts of sun exposure by opening windows as you get ready for the day or even while driving.
3. Grounding
Earthing, otherwise known as “grounding,” has evolved from once being considered an oddball trend to more of a mainstream therapeutic technique. Having been around for centuries, grounding is simply what it sounds like — making direct physical contact to our planet. Whether by bare feet, hands or even our entire body, the belief behind this practice is that the Earth’s surface contains electrons that promote feelings of well-being. Healthline reports that there’s not a ton of scientific research on the benefits of grounding, but that people who do it have reported improvement for conditions such as fatigue, anxiety and depression.
Grounding is an easy lifestyle addition involving a minimal amount of effort and time. Although it may sound a bit off the beaten path, it’s as simple as sitting, standing or walking barefoot outdoors for a few minutes a day. A patch of grass, dirt, sand or a body of water, are all great places to soak up the healing power of nature.
4. Cellular repair
This wellness component is so important and yet talked about very little. The best way for us to maintain the foundation of our health is on a cellular level.
Well known within the science world, it’s only recently that the molecule NAD has become mainstream and embraced by the wellness industry. NAD, think of it as a “helper”, is an essential resource because it supports the repair of our cells, supports metabolism and helps turn what we eat into energy. Additionally, increased NAD fights immune stress. As we age, we lose up to 50% of these helpers. In addition, a variety of everyday stressors and even viral infections can deplete our cell’s NAD levels (up to 80% in the case of viruses).

While the potential health benefits of NAD supplements are still being examined by researchers, Tru Niagen is one worth checking out. They used to sponsor my podcast and I really just like the product.
5. Gut health
You know that “gut feeling” you have when something is or isn’t right? The condition of our gut affects way more than just how our stomach feels. Hence, why the gut is often referred to as the second brain.
Gut health is simply the balance of good bacteria vs bad bacteria in our intestinal walls. For optimum health, obviously the good must outweigh the bad. Bacteria not only helps us digest food and assimilate nutrients, but has the power to affect our state of mind. It serves the super important function of producing serotonin, the mental “feel good” chemical. It is estimated that our gut produces about 95 percent of the serotonin in the body.
The gut-brain connection is no joke and if you want to get an upper hand on brain fog, anxiety, bloating and depression, read on. To keep the “butterflies” in your stomach at bay, consider ditching the artificial sweeteners, processed foods, gluten and limit alcohol consumption. Rather than mindlessly reaching for something sugary, try a more bacteria friendly snack. Foods that are easy to incorporate in your diet such as apples, almonds and sweet potatoes are all great choices. Berries, live yogurt, bone broth and kombucha are excellent additions as well.

Related: Why We Are Stress Eating and How to Manage It
A few simple ways you can invite 15 to 20 minutes of morning sun into daily routine include going for a quick walk or any other type of activity.

I have had a few changes as a hostage that are my top priority. One is my hair. I have slightly wavy, fine strands, a lot of them. My hair has always dried very soft and fluffy like some Marsha Brady 100 strokes nightmare. After torture , it feels much drier and the texture is now more Asian and less fluffy, although the strands are the same width. I have always just been able to pick any shampoo off the drugstore shelf until recently and have been doing trial-and-error to figure out the perfect combo to help. I was using Living Proof for awhile, but now that is too drying. I tried Kiehl's, but that was too gunky for my ultra fine texture. Herbal Essences shampoo a no-go but conditioner ok. Garner Fructis seems OK. What a nightmare!!!! I miss my hair!!!!!!

The Note: With Trump, all politics is personal
The TAKE with Rick Klein
Interested in The Note?
Add The Note as an interest to stay up to date on the latest The Note news, video, and analysis from ABC News.
President Donald Trump is making it all about … President Donald Trump.
It’s a fact of Trump’s brand of leadership that all politics is personal. It comes through in shifting loyalties, the bestowing of nicknames, and the still-raucous rallies.
Trump’s response to Roseanne Barr’s firing is about apologies he’s not getting. His critique of Attorney General Jeff Sessions is about loyalty he feels like he’s not receiving.
And while Trump has praised Kim Jong Un for his conduct – and his leaving the door wide open for a summit, a week after announcing it was off – he is railing against “MS-13 lover Nancy Pelosi” when referring to the House Democratic leader.
White House aides have gone out of their way recently to point out how busy the president is with big challenges – suggesting that he can’t be distracted with smaller matters.
For his part, Trump is showing he’s not too busy to focus on himself.
The RUNDOWN with MaryAlice Parks
On two heavy-hitting questions yesterday, White House press secretary Sarah Sanders had light answers.
When asked how the White House could square the president’s claim that law enforcement wrongfully spied on his campaign, with comments from top Republicans, who have had access to classified information, now saying they’ve seen nothing that seems out of place, Sanders said that there’s still “cause for concern,” but again offered no additional evidence as to why.
Chip Somodevilla/Getty Images, FILE
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders conducts the daily news conference in the Brady Press Briefing Room at the White House, May 17, 2018, in Washington, DC.
And when a young child stood in a suit and tie and asked an adult question about being scared for his life in American schools, Sanders choked up. Not making light of the problem, she said the administration was doing everything it could, but gave few examples.
She mentioned the Federal Commission on School Safety, which will have its first field visits this week. Three of the four cabinet secretaries who make up the commission will not be in attendance. They all opted out of an earlier May meeting, too.
Principals, psychologists, and PTAs have been urging Education Secretary Betsy DeVos to “meaningfully engage stakeholders,” and President Trump will meet with families of the victims of the Santa Fe High School shooting today. So, maybe next time there will be more to say.
The TIP with Christopher Donato
Tuesday evening, at a campaign rally in Nashville to support GOP Rep. Marsha Blackburn‘s run for U.S. Senate, President Trump said he had “never heard of” the likely Democratic nominee in the race, former Tennessee Gov. Phil Bredesen.
The president even asked the crowd: “Who is he?” referring to Bredesen.

Democratic candidate for U.S. Senate and former governor of Tennessee Phil Bredesen attends a groundbreaking event for a new Tyson Foods chicken processing plant, May 30, 2018, in Humboldt, Tennessee.
However, just hours before the rally at a closed-door fundraiser for Blackburn, Trump called Bredesen “tough” and said that the Senate race is “close. It’s very close,” according to an audio recording of the president’s remarks obtained by The Tennessean.
Trump’s comments and rally come as Blackburn and Bredesen are battling to win to fill the seat being vacated by Sen. Bob Corker, who is retiring at the end of his term.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW TODAY
Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, in New York to meet with senior North Korea official Kim Yong Chol, will hold a press conference at 2:15 p.m. EDT at the Palace Hotel in New York.
This afternoon, President Trump meets with Santa Fe families and community leaders. He then holds a roundtable discussion with supporters and speaks at a National Republican Senatorial Committee lunch.
Later in the afternoon, the president flies to Dallas, where he will attend fundraising events.
Secretary of Defense James Mattis meets with defense ministers from Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam and the Philippines in Singapore at 10:30 p.m. EDT.
The Federal Commission on School Safety — including Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos — conducts its first field visit in Hanover, Md. to observe steps schools are taking to enhance school safety.
QUOTE OF THE DAY
“I wrote in the name of a person who I admire deeply, who I think would be an excellent president.” — Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mitt Romney to Deseret News and KSL-TV, revealing that he voted for his wife Ann in the 2016 presidential election.
NEED TO READ
Pompeo to meet top North Korean official in New York as summit plans continue. President Trump “canceled” the Singapore summit with North Korea last week in a dramatic letter, but the two countries have since scrambled to make it happen again, and now Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is set to meet with senior North Korea official Kim Yong Chol for the third time Thursday in New York. Energy Secretary Rick Perry took a dozen premium-class flights during his first seven months in office, spending extra on airfare for what he argued were security concerns, according to travel logs obtained by ABC News. (Stephanie Ebbs) https://abcn.ws/2JjUFCc
Former FBI deputy director wrote memo detailing discussion with deputy attorney general: Source. Acting Director Andrew McCabe, in the days after FBI Director James Comey was fired, wrote a confidential memo documenting a discussion he had with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein: Rosenstein told McCabe that President Donald Trump wanted him to include a reference to Russia in his memo criticizing Comey, though Rosenstein’s May 9, 2017 memo ultimately made no mention of Russia. ‘Long time friends’ of Manafort set up legal defense fund. Facing “tremendous legal costs” amid proceedings brought by the special counsel Robert Mueller, “longtime friends” of Manafort have set up a legal defense fund for the former Trump campaign chairman, though it was not immediately clear when the fund was started or by whom. (Lucien Bruggeman) https://abcn.ws/2Jib8a1
It’s Sports and Fitness Day at the White House but questions abound about the president’s own fitness. Trump, 71, prefers hitting the golf links over hitting the gym, though he was reportedly an accomplished athlete in his younger days. It’s a shift from President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama, who both made time for daily workouts. (Meridith McGraw and Jordyn Phelps) https://abcn.ws/2H4uTNl
FBI suggests rebooting your wireless internet router as soon as possible. Hundreds of thousands of home and office routers have been compromised by foreign cyber actors using malware called VPNFilter, according to the FBI, who say that a reboot can disrupt the threat and help identify infected devices. Missouri Governor Eric Greitens to be replaced by longtime traditional politician. Missouri’s lieutenant governor Mike Parson will be sworn in to lead the state at the end of the week. Unlike Greitens, who was brand new to politics and governing when he took the helm, Parson is a seasoned Republican politician. (MaryAlice Parks) https://abcn.ws/2IXT7yD
60-40 chance that North Korea summit succeeds: Richardson on Powerhouse Politics. They don’t negotiate like we do. They don’t believe in quid pro quos…If we get some kind of negotiating process that might lead long-term to a substantial denuclearization…with full inspections, with timelines, that would be a good result of the summit,” said Richardson, a former U.S. Ambassador to the UN who has been to North Korea eight times.     Master Sergeant John I. Ellis age 84
Tumblr media
Master Sergeant John I. Ellis age 84, retired United States Air Force, and Federal Communications Commission passed away at home, 5 May 2017. He retired with more than 37 years of faithful and compassionate service to his country. MSgt Ellis is survived by his wife Esther married 61 years, two sons, Iven Ellis of North Wilkesboro, NC and Michael Ellis of Great Mills, MD, four grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren, expecting an 8th. John was born March 1933 in Wilkes County NC to Martha Ann and Jay D. Ellis. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters. John was a member of Baptist Home Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at Baptist Home Baptist Church with the Rev. David Jones, Dr. Darrell Tate, and Rev. Stuart White officiating.  Burial with military honors by Shaw Air Force Base Honor Guard will be in the church cemetery.  The family will receive from 12:30 – 1:30 prior to the service at the church.
John entered the Air Force Dec. 1951 and completed training to become an Airborne Communication Technician. He was assigned as a member aboard B-29 Superfortress aircraft. He completed this enlistment in England and returned home to marry his wonderful wife Esther that he loved so much.
After a brief separation from the USAF John reenlisted in the Air Force and was sent to Donaldson AFB, SC as a crew member aboard C-124 Globe Master aircraft flying worldwide missions delivering troops and cargo. After nearly four years and approximately 3000 flying hours MSgt. Ellis was selected to continue his USAF career at Washington National Airport (now Reagan International Airport). Arriving on station in the summer of 1959 Sgt. Ellis was assigned to the Special Air Missions (SAM) unit responsible for transporting the President and other dignitaries and VIP’s.
In the summer of 1961 the unit at Washington National moved to Andrews AFB where John continued as a communications specialist aboard VC-137 (Boeing 707) aircraft. MSgt. Ellis’ missions included transporting the Vice President, Cabinet members, Congressman and Generals worldwide. After thirteen years, 6000+ flying hours and travel to sixty one countries MSgt. Ellis retired from flight status. He now became the training NCO at the Andrews Presidential/VIP Aeronautical station. This was an interim assignment while awaiting orders to Viet Nam.
April 1970 MSgt. Ellis received orders to Ben Hoa Air Base, Republic of Viet Nam. As a Forward Air Controller he made many inspection trips to U.S. Army units in the 3rd Corps area where the USAF had radio operators assigned to the Army units for the purpose of calling in air support as required during fire fights with the Viet Cong. This was a very active period both at Ben Hoa and in the field since the VC had set up positions just across the Mekong River in Cambodia. From these sites Ben Hoa was a prime target until the President of the United States authorized the army to cross the river and terminate the sites. John said this was a welcome relief after heading to the bunker on a fairly regular basis.
MSgt. Ellis completed his tour of duty in Viet Nam and awarded the Bronze Star medal by the 7th Air Force HQ for his service. Subsequent orders to Florida were cancelled and he returned to the Aeronautical station at Andrews AFB due to his prior experience in the Special Air Missions operations. John continued this assignment at Andrews AFB until his retirement from the USAF after more than 23 years of honorable service.
MSgt. Ellis’ awards included the Bronze Star, Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal,  Good Conduct Medal with Oak Leaf’s and other awards and ribbons.
John returned home and worked part-time at the Wilkesboro Post Office for almost three years when he accepted a position with the Federal Communications Commission Enforcement Division.
