the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again

I'm still in the process of drawing the next installment of my fancomic#but I did wanna do this as a psuedo apology for my recommended fics. I was honestly shocked by how dark/brutal it gets lol#I do still recommend them if you can handle it. It’s honestly not the darkest thing I’ve read lol

When Toriel asked him to attend the meeting in her place for one night he thought it wouldn't be a big deal. Turns out Sans could not have been more wrong.
A bit of a short fic, there's a surprising lack of fics with this concept! Even still, I like the way the author exectues the idea! I loved reading comics similar to this fic when I was younger, so this threw me back a bit!
I enjoy the way the author writes the characters, & how they have them interact with each other!
Spoilers ahead!
I really like how the author includes some of the reactions from the unamed parents also at the meeting, having mentions of nods of agreement & cheering when Sans insults Helen's brownies!

I know I don't look it but I'm beginning to feel it#had a really good time drawing this though! playing around with new ways to do the light effects made me positively GIDDY#and zelda's design! I've seen people saying the game's visual design looks too simple but imo that's actually a good thing?#because the simpler the canon art style is the more creative input we have in our own interpretations of it#medieval tailoring is my special interest so my take on it is very loosely based on like mid-late 14th-century kirtles#as far as I know they didn't really have split skirts or that shade of purple back then but eh it's fantasy haha#I wasn't super clear on how the cloak fastens so I based it on the one frodo wears at the start of lord of the rings. you know the one#the outer edges have tabs at the top that sort of cross over each other and attach with brooches to the shoulders#I guess it's kind of like how marth and lucina's cloaks work?#but anyway I shall see you anon! hopefully before the game actually comes out haha#only 98 sleeps to go though! do you ever meet someone who you understand only exists in your life in a very temporary manner because of the nature of your relations but you feel so much strong emotion about them that you know they will be written into the fabric of your life forever? anyway i had the same phlebotomist as last time and have empirically determined that she is one of God's angels and i would just about do anything for her
#i can't emphasize enough how well labwork went today against all reason to believe it would#partly because i like hydrated and whatnot and listened to music and yapped (something that keeps me grounded)#but she said she had been thinking of me when she hadn't seen me come in for a few days and she leaned the chair back-#-before i sat down so i wouldn't have to stand up halfway through if she wanted to adjust it (what made me faint last time)#she gave me something to sniff if i started to feel light headed from the get go and she tested me thoroughly before sticking me#she talked with me and laughed at my jokes and asked me questions but also stayed quiet most of the time so she could focus#she ended up having to stick both my arms because she wasn't able to draw enough blood for a sample we needed 3 tests on#and she told me after that i did good and gave me information about which arm has a better vein#the first time i went she was so caring in a very professional serious way that still felt like very touching (so was the receptionist#that was working last time) and i'm just amazed by like first how kind everyone in the dentist office was yesterday#but now how kind everyone in the clinic is to me. i don't feel dizzy at all and yes both my arms hurt but like#it genuinely went well and they got more than enough for each sample so the lab results will be clear. i could cry over this#also by what i meant when i said against all reason-- because this is the only time i've not felt dizzy and i'm also on my period#medical tw#ask to tag#needles tw#nightmare.fave#<- so i can find this forever and remember this kind woman whose name i don't know that shifted something in me

Therapy isn't enough I need the CW to go back and re-film Season 11 to prove that Lucifer could have been saved if Michael didn't abandon him like Dean refused to abandon Sam.
#I'm old enough to know that some ideas are too cinematic and visual to be translated to fic and This Is One Of Them#Amara shows up and wants to eat Lucifer but Lucifer runs off comes back and tosses a bag of stuff for spellwork at Sam#Snaps his fingers and Devil's Dancefloor by Flogging Molly starts to play at an increasing volume#Someone comments that having a hype song is lame and Lucifer says YEAH IT'S REAL LAME ISN'T IT DEAN#Big knockdown fight between Lucifer and Amara and the spell banishes both but Lucifer manages to claw his way back#Michael!Adam clawed their way out of the cage but is living as Adam and Lucifer restores Michael's memories by giving back his blade#Michael and Lucifer working very poorly together but it reaches a head when they're trapped in a town Amara is going to literally devour#And Lucifer's like 'Oh we're both acts of God actually so one of us is going to have to destroy the other in Amara's general direction'#And Michael thinks it's a ploy and refuses and says Lucifer's so tainted he's not anything like what God made and Wow That's Mean#But Michael agrees thinking that sacrificing God's favored son will get dad to come back but Lucifer is genuinely afraid of death#Because angels don't get an afterlife so this has also been a narrative conversation about forgiveness outside of punishment and hell#But right before God does show up Michael has a hand inside Lucifer's glowing chest forcing his light in an attack beam at Amara#And Lucifer is crying screaming clawing growing weaker and Michael just stops and curls his free hand over the back of Lucifer's head#And he Regrets he realizes how long he's refused to let himself love his brother to serve his father and now it's the end#And not the end he prepared himself for but if he gets the freedom to love his brother and choose not to kill him maybe he chooses-#Ahahah Chuck's there now and 3V2 THERAPY TIME#WHO'S THAT IT'S JOHN WINCHESTER'S GHOST WITH A STEEL CHAIR#Anyway Supernatural was good when we still had narrative parallels and in every SamDean moment I am closing my eyes and seeing Them#S8 Sam during the Trials of God? Don't you mean Lucifer begging his brother to help him bear the mark before it warps him?#listen I'll shut up when someone tells me WHY DIDN'T LUCIFER GET TO GO APESHIT ABOUT DEAN DESTROYING THE MARK#LUCIFER BORE THE MARK FOR EONS SO DID CAIN THE MARK RUINED BOTH OF THEM#AND DEAN GETS TO TOSS IT AFTER A YEAR???? So I started the dub of Fruits Basket again.
Forgetting, of course, that the primary theme is about life changing and having to be okay with letting go of the past even though the future is uncertain.
More importantly, forgetting that one of the main threads of this throughout the series is Tohru's grief (and guilt) over her mother's death.

Well, you know what, my therapist told me to engage with grief as homework the past couple of weeks, so between this and starting Anohana again I THINK IT COUNTS.

Watching the death note musical and man, I just want to give Light some tea and terrible unlicenced therapy.
#like. no i don't agree with him#but also i completely understand the mindset#fundamentally he's a disillusioned teenager who wants any way to fix what he sees#(and to do something exceptional and full of meaning instead of what he sees as a bland and empty existence)#and then he's handed a notebook that can kill people#because it happened to be him - in particular - of course it turned out that way#it's tragic#it makes you wish you could help him#and imo he's not very emotionally mature. A lot of his issues remind me of me at 14#the guy was probably already tumbling headfirst into a mental health crisis#and you can absolutely cherry pick things he said and thought that make him seem like an absolute monster#and he definitely has lots of those traits that he Isn't Aware Of. but that's like. part of why you'd want to help him#and i feel like a lot of what L did was bring those traits out into the open for light#of course neither of them thought it was particularily wrong and the task force didn't pick up on it#but i think that's where some of the hatred comes from. not just that he's trying to stop Light#but also that he can see Light and is making Light aware of aspects of himself he'd rather not be#(insert homosexuality joke here even though that's not what I'm talking about)#remember that Light has been 'perfect' his entire life.#And everyone has said a million times over that the fact L sees him contributes to the weird sort of closeness they have#and why Light is so lonely after L's death#anyways all I'm saying is that it's tragic and while i doubt anything i could do would change it it makes me wish i could try#i love making fun of and criticizing Light as much as the next guy#but I guess today my brain decided to access the special Death Note Emotions

#Despised it#I watch family/children's media very aware of who the intended audience is#And expect all such media to cater to its intended audience and not the adults along for the ride#The season five final was not written for a five-year-old viewer#You don't show a little kid a father willfully poisoning his child (nightmare dust) and locking that child away#And then give that father a happy/peaceful ending#What message is that supposed to send to kids???#I was extra disturbed by that interview where the writers said that this was Gabriel accepting Emilie's death#but also deciding that he can't live without her#Once again: what freaking message is that supposed to send to kids? Shouldn't Adrien's existence be enough to make Gabriel want to live?#Way to drive home how little Gabriel cared about his son.#Plus that is NOT what accepting another person's death looks like! Way to completely fail on that message.#And this was originally the series finale!!! Yikes#Also depending on your read of Emilie's status (dead vs coma/magical stasis)#The final is literally treating either a su*cide or full out murder-su*cide as a happy ending for Gabriel#I don't think kids need to be wrapped in a bubble but by the gods that is freaking dark#Even if later seasons somehow fix this (and I truly do not think that they will) the intended audience is five-to-twelve-year-olds#That's not an age group known for following complex and nuanced plots#The younger end of that group is not waiting with baited breath to see how this messed up ending will resolve itself#They see the happy smiles and Gabriel going into the light and think this is what a happy ending looks like#Oh and way to have Chat Noir leave Ladybug to literally fight the world alone after making his catchphrase “me and you against the world”#Guess that was just lip service?#Why even bother making him a hero if this was the plan all along like they claim?#The final well and truly killed every side of the love square in one fell swoop. And they were already on shaky ground going into the final#Ladynoir isn't the power couple we always wanted and Adrienette is poisoned to a level I don't think that they can come back from#It's all just way too serious for the intended audience.
