Update on Commandermon: my little brother has chosen two radiant Pokemon, Greninja and Venasuar. I have started work on the Radiant Greninja deck, and I’m short of 26 cards to get to 100. Given the list below, what is there anything I should add? Also for context, like Commander I’m not sticking to cards only in the Standard Rotation. Anything goes from any time, including banned cards I may not know exist.

Overall, I like this team. I do wish there was ways to utilize the dark type boosts more, but I think overall this works. I love the idea of Witch Fern lol. I know that's not exactly his aesthetic in canon, but it's very fun to imagine. He would not wear a witch hat, he refuse.

I think the reason I went with latias instead of Latios was bc 1) it was most used by Saph I think and 2) I think it's the one that can actually use a fairy move lol.

Not much to say with Saphira's team, really. I simply choose pokemon that I thought would fit her. If the normal/fairy option on the poll won, I would have made her typing Dragon/Fire, but ah well. I think Dragon/Steel fits just as well. Maybe Titania gave her pointers. Speaking of which, fun fact! When choosing for Leo's E4, it was between her and Titania got the spot. I obviously ended up choosing Saph, but trust me it was hard. The biggest reason was bc I wanted to stay a bit away from the Another Time E4. Just a bit. That being said, and this is the fun fact, Titania eventually gets that role when Shelly becomes champion! Yes, Shelly becomes champion after Leo. It's a back and forth for a while ( and for the Adrienn's sake, Titania and Saphira don't switch each time Leo or Shelly becomes champion again), but inevitably, Shelly becomes the permanent Champion of Reborn, and thus, Titania becomes one of her E4. I like to think Shelly made Titania swear she's for keeps lol.

If there's one thing I will say about this team is that it's pretty slow. While I love Steelix, maybe I should replace it with something that can provide tailwind support?

I'm bad at calculating damage, but if I did the math right overall Fire Pledge and Heat Wave does the same damage overall ( fire Pledge gets booster by the field and sun, heat wave just gets boosted by the sun), and is a spread move. Maybe Fire Pledge for The Culture + when/if sunlight fades, it's still going 120 damage with better accuracy. So.

Arguably the one that best utilizes this field lmao. " But R this is a normal/fire team, why is Aegislash-" 1) it's too iconic not to get man and 2) there's plenty of elite 4 members that are said to master a single type but have pokemon in their teams that aren't that type. If anything, Taka here is the least offensive bc he only really has one, where the others had multiple. I just think Taka should use his cool sword more.

The biggest thing with this team is that I want it to be a doubles team, bc Taka generally battles in doubles in the post game, but this team. Is so rock slide weak man. And ngl I feel like I could have added more normal types outside of the two.

AND THAT'S EVERYTHING YIPPEE!!!!!! I love team building but am I the best at it? Nah. So if anyone has any suggestions on what I should change, feel free to send an ask!

Overall this elite 4 has this cute fantasy theme to it. Heather- the flying maiden, Fern - the witch in the woods, Saphira - the mighty dragon and Taka - the knight that protects his king ( Leo ). It was honestly accidental but I love it.

I made a pmd 2 au with a few of my ocs because of course I did. Lance the venasuar here is the human from the future with a little twist he landed much earlier in the past than the start of the game’s events. With no memories he lives his life becoming an explorerer and eventually marrying the then wooloo who found him his now wife Arrow. They have a child picture above Harpe! She’s the one who finds the relic fragment using it as a good luck charm to help motivate her for falling in her father’s footsteps as an explorer.

Finally... they're all mine... After numerous months of Masuda breeding, outbreak hunting, and Hisui searching, I have one of all shiny starters and their final evolution!!!

This was a really fun (and sometimes tedious) project, but I've been super eager to do something like this for a long time. I can't wait to play with them more in the game!

Clearly you can tell I got most of them from Scarlet, when I truly started this project up 😅. Some of my all time favorite starters however, like Venasaur and Inteleon, came from previous games. I never fully started shiny breeding starters until the switch!

Only some of the baby starters have names so I won't list them...

Some thoughts about the project

Some of the Masuda bred ones took almost 2000 eggs to get OTL (I'm looking at you Chimchar and Quaxly...). And then, of course I had to breed a second one to keep uneveolved (Chimchar was so difficult, I stopped breeding and went back to PLA to mass outbreak hunt it)

Masuda bred eggs were bred with hidden abilities and 5+ IVs. The mightiest mark raids and Home HA starter gifts were a big help with this. If I'm gonna breed em, I'm gonna breed em right!

The outbreak ones from Scarlet and PLA were given HAs from ability patches. I skipped a few whose HA I didn't like (for example, Charizard's solar power or Serperior's contrary). I couldn't get a Sprigatito with hidden ability from it's parent despite breeding three shiny ones, but I decided not to give it a patch since I like the grass/dark typing better than mono typing via protean.

PLA was a great help for the Sinnoh Starters! I have... So many shiny piplups... Including an alpha Empoleon named Triton (he's my favorite!)

Speaking of which... I spent so long on shiny Cyndaquil and Turtwig that I accidentally found their final evos in mass outbreaks instead of the baby starter. Whoops?

Despite this pokemon's soft costume and desire to be loved as much as Pikachu or to blend in with others they are still very dangerous to all who get within touching range.

Children are often warned of a 'Clothed Devil' while reviled and despised in my home region they are beloved in the rest of the world. Theres many legands of various hunted lands buildings or objects which are simply mimikyus using them as costumes.

The most famous of these legands speak of a moving statue in a graveyard the size of a Venasuar.

It is often said that one does not live through the night that the poor soul sees the true body of the mimikyu.

Pokémon Trainer OC (Kanto)

OK so I have seen some folks, both on here and on other platforms as well, make some really cool original characters and I wanted to make one for the pokemon region of Kanto.

Also a Quick note before we go into this character, when it comes to this character's team I am going to strictly stay with pokemon that are A) catchable in a Kanto game, so for an example I could catch an arcanine if I wanted to since it is in a kanto pokemon but I couldn't catch say an Oshawatt since it isn't in one of the Kanto game. I am also going to, through technicality, allow Meltan and Melmetal as possible team members since the player character in the let's go games. B) I am also allowing my character to use an evolution or pre evolution of a pre-existing kanto pokemon, so think of Pichu, Electivire, and Annihilape as three examples, though they are not introduced in a Kanto game, they are apart of the same evolutionary lines of pokemon in kanto games. C ) finally I am allowing Regional Variants, since in the Let's Go games for an example you are able to trade say a kantonian ratata for an alolan ratata.

Also, though not technically about the pokemon I am going to use the Gen 9 battle mechanics since (to steal the words of MandJTV) it is going to be difficult to look at a non gen 1 Pokémon's moveset in a gen 1 game since they were not in a gen 1 game, so due to that I am assuming gen 9 battle mechanics. Also though yes there is mega evolution in the Let's Go Kanto Games I am not including it

Now onto the actual Character

The name of the character is gonna be Alexander "Alex" Belmont, and they are a 5'7", 200 pound 23 year old male who goes by He/They pronouns and who's main job is a Courier who rides around on a motorcycle. they have brown hair that's usually up in a bun and a brown beard, emerald green eyes, a somewhat muscular build due to all the packages they carry around, and have a sort of warm peach skin tone to them. their general outfit is that of a black tee-shirt with a graphic of his starter, along side a Mahogany Duster Jacker, Green Cargo Pants, and a pair of Black Boots.

The Above Picture was made using Hero Forge and is what I generally see Alexander as looking like in terms of appearance

As for their team it is as followed

Vines the Venasuar - This is the first pokemon that Alexander ever had on his team. Alex got them from Professor Oak so that they could go do the Gym challenge. additionally Vines has the Timid Nature, the Overgrow Ability, and the moves Leaf Storms, Sludge Bomb, Earth Power, and Synthesis. it also holds the Heavy-Duty Boots item.

El Trueno the Electivire - Given to Alexander from a friend who had an extra Elekid egg, Alexander would use them on his team after they had hatched, and is now one of the more powerful members on Alex's team. El Trueno has a Hasty nature, the Motor Drive ability, it also knows the moves of Thunder, Flamethrower, Earthquake, and Darkest Lariat and holds a Life Orb.

Sapphire the Alolan Ninetales - Alex had gained Sapphire by trading a Kantonian Vulpix for a Alolan Vulpix in Celadon City, Alex would try and set up Sapphire to be a good member of the team. their nature is that of Timid, with the Snow Warning ability, and the moves of Aurora Veil, Encore, Freeze-Dry, and Moon Blast, and is holding some Light Clay

Mercury the Melmetal - Alex had gained Mercury through delivering a special package to a special Pokémon Preserve located in Fuchsia city as a form of payment by the pokemon preserve saying that "this pokemon needs a good trainer to take care of it", so Alex took them in and takes good care of them. Mercury has a Brave Nature, the ability Iron Fist, and the moves Double Iron Bash, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, and Superpower. Mercury also holds the Choice Band held Item.

Gary the Gyarados - gained as a Magikarp while on route 6, Alexander would help Gary get powerful enough to where they could evolve into Gyarados. their nature is Jolley, they have the Moxie ability, and the moveset of Dragon Dance, Waterfall, Earthquake, and Ice Fang. and they have the Covert Cloak

Terra the Rhyperior - caught while Terra was still a Rhyhorn in Cerulean Cave, Terra is the last pokemon on Alex's team to have been trained up but is useful to be used. they have an adamant nature, the ability of Solid Rock, and the moves Earthquake, Stone Edge, Swords Dance, and Stealth Rock. and Terra does have the Leftover held item

Other Information for the Character

Though not shown in the picture above but Alexander does have a Courier bag that he carries his Deliveries in, He also has some luggage space on his motorcycle (which in my head looks like either a Harley Davidson or Ford Design) so that he can have some spaces to carry around some bigger packages than what his bag can carry

When doing his job as a Courier, Alex only picks up packages/letters from wherever he is in if the packages are going to the same place he is going to, additionally in order for the package to go with Alexander, the person who wants to send the package or letter needs to pay a small fee and fill out a form, and if the form in question is filled out completely Alexander does stamp it five times and signs it at the bottom before taking the letter/package into his courier bag or his motorcycle's storage

so sort of a follow up on the last point but if a person wants Alexander to deliver something that is not in the town or city that he is going to next but it is on the way then he will add on a small fee on top of his usual faire since he does have to go onto a small detour but if the town/city is not on his way to his next destination then he will respectfully decline the delivery job

Though he does know how to cook, Alex does often times go into restaurants to sit in and enjoy a nice hot meal since often times he can get to busy to cook so hence why he often times goes to a restaurant whenever he has a chance

Though he doesn't often get into many fights, Alexander does often take on battles from any challenger that comes his way, with the understanding that whoever wins just gets some pocket change the other person has on them

From my very limited knowledge on vcg and competitive pokemon: Raihan with Venasuar is genuinely pretty good bc it's known to be a pretty good chlorophyll sweeper. Of course, Blastoise would be good for a rain team but. I think his Torkoal is just more iconic sooooo. Sub team :)

Update on pokammander: the greninja deck is nothing more than those stupid decks full of V and EX pokemon that I’ve tried to get away from. It’s clear now that it was my little brothers skill that he won with the venasuar deck, as well as my own incompetence with the Greninja deck. I desire to type out multiple extremities, but I won’t.

I've made a (very basic) spreadsheet which right now just includes data on weather I need to catch or evolve a pokemon or if that pokemon is done, so like if I have a bulbasaur in the bulbasaur slot it's done, if I have another bulbasaur in the ivysaur slot it's marked as evolve, and if I have nothing in the venasuar slot it's marked as catch

I need to evolve 158 that are currently in my pc

I need to catch 144 more, and some of those will also need to be evolved

That makes a combined 302 pokemon that I need, which to me is both a lot and surprisingly little lol

Out of 721 pokemon, minus the 54 (I think? I'm tired and not recounting) makes 365 done from all those years ago which is pretty cool, so I'm more than halfway there which is nice

Tomorrow I'll work on the spreadsheet more, including writing notes on the best place to get each pokemon, also I'll be splitting it up by generation so I'm not too overwhelmed so I'm starting with gen 1 pokemon first

Living dex update: after way too many long slow painful months, I'M FINALLY DONE, done all the legendaries

After 2 playthroughs of x, 1 playthrough of y, 2 playthroughs of omega ruby, 1 playthrough of alpha sapphire, 1 playthrough of ultra sun, and 1 playthrough of ultra moon, I've caught all of the legendaries (and a few more like gotten the postgame gift starters in oras, which was the reason for the 2nd omega ruby playthrough besides me using groudon in the first playthrough and I want to have a "mint condition" version of each legendary, but if I wasn't planning on doing a second omega ruby playthrough in the first place I would have kept that groudon in "mint condition" so, yeah I hope you're happy chikorita, turtwig, and snivy)

Now comes the second a hopefully faster (but let's face it, much slower) part, catching all of the other pokemon, and then the also slow process of evolving (or in some cases breeding) them

Anyways yeah wish me luck cause I'm racing against the *still unannounced* enddate for the pokebank servers
