I wasn't invited to the coronation, but I dig what the royal graphic designer did here on the invites. Extra points for including the cool vegetation deity (he's like some cabbage god with thistles) and all the amazing wildflowers. Printed on recycled paper no less.
BBC: "Reflecting the King's many years of environmental campaigning, the artwork for the coronation invitation uses the folklore figure of the "green man", with features made from ivy, hawthorn and oak leaves.
According to Buckingham Palace it is a symbol of spring and rebirth which celebrates a new reign.
The design by illustrator Andrew Jamieson also includes images of the natural world, including wildflowers, birds and insects, as well as national and heraldic emblems."

Dionysos, god whose arrival is swift and certain, enduring friend of women and men whose welcome is warm, bringer of light, we see you in shadows. Dionysos, granter of great blessings, your presence is a heady wine. Kind-hearted god, to each you give as is fitting, each vessel you fill only as we can bear, and yet with even a sip, we are drunk upon you, and our faith is affirmed. Awesome god, by our own will we drink deeply, with you we become lost, we wander, we are found.
Litany to Dionysos
Dionysos of the vine, rich-tressed god of wine, potent and lusty, unmixed, undiluted, with full force you come to us, vital and robust, rich and strong and surprisingly sweet. Dionysos, I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Ivy-bearing Dionysos, god of the green, of the power of root on stone, the force of life that will make its own way in spite of all who labor to hold it back, no will or work can bind your might. I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Dionysos of the deep earth, of the dark world, of the unknown expanse beneath the black soil, beneath solid stone, of mysteries you know much, of death and of what lies beyond. God of secrets, I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Dionysos the inspiring, granter of words of prose or poesy, words heard best by the drunken and the mad, words forgotten with the passing of night and delight. Bacchus, granter of rare transport, I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Dionysos Soter, holder of the hearts of men, you free us from the cares of the world, each brilliant frenzied moment a shining jewel, each glimpse of the sacred more precious than gold. I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings. Kindly Dionysos, granter of good to men and women, giver of gifts to all who seek your blessing. Gracious Dionysos, accepter of offerings great and small, friend of mankind, I praise and honor you, I thank you for your blessings.
Regular Prayer to Dionysos
Dionysos, deep-hearted one who knows the souls of men and women, whose hand is ever open, ever within reach. Dionysos, god who runs in the dark, who sees with eyes shut tight, who dances to the heart’s strong beat, ever are you yourself, ever constant, ever changing god of those who are trapped, those who seek your truth and their own, those who seek vision beyond seeing, those who seek wisdom beyond knowledge, those who seek the self, pure and sweet, those who seek clarity beyond definition, who seek to embrace the uncertain, to hold, but loosely, to what is true beyond trust.
Regular prayer to Dionysos
I praise Dionysos, lord of the vine, lord of the far reaches of the mind; in the thick of the woods, along darkened paths, in the shadows of dusk and of dawn, you roam the world, the satyrs and the pretty nymphs dancing in your wake. Son of Zeus and fair-haired Semele, bold-hearted Semele, who dared to look into the face of glory, beautiful Semele who you carried into life again, Semele reborn who men called Thyone; beloved of clever Ariadne, quick-witted one, so dear to your heart, your bright-eyed bride and consort; Dionysos, friend of women, friend of the blissful, wild-eyed maenads, pilgrims and pioneers, those who seek, your cheer and inspiration, those who seek your release, from sorrow and despair, those who are lost in joy, and those who have found themselves in you. Dionysos, god of the darkest dark and the deepest deep, boundless one, endless one, fathomless one, in you we see the edges of ourselves, in you, we find our life’s journey, in you we find our home.
To Dionysos
I call to Dionysos, great god of the vine, son of thundering Zeus and headstrong Semele, loving husband of warm-hearted Ariadne. From the east you came, old before the ancients, throughout the elder world were you beloved; in Naxos and Boitia were you celebrated, in temples and in the savage wilderness, the fleet-footed maenads running in your wake. The sweetest, strongest wine is ever your drink; the mind’s release, the body’s loosening, your gift. O Dionysos; thyrsus-shaker, ivy-crowned god, we see you in the shadows, we see you on the edges, we see you in the haze of ecstasy, where we know the truth of passion, where we find the essence of our being. Bacchus, I call to you!

I would like to hear on how Reader was found to be the diety of Love. Please?
Okay! Because you didn't specify if you meant in the past or in the present, we're doing... the past!
The Origins of Reader, Deity of Love...
There was once a powerful kingdom that worshipped the gods and goddesses, back in the times of yore... there were great kings and countries, powerful monsters and beautiful temples, and many cities and palaces scattered throughout this ancient world...
But on the outskirts of one small country was a ridged hill, which sloped into the sea, and on the top of this cliff was a small home, one belonging to a mortal... This mortal was alone, tending to their small home and the few animals and plants that surrounded it, and did not pray to the gods. They were young, not yet of age, who had left their home to avoid being married off or sent to a temple, or even used as a sacrifice, as so many young mortals were fated to...
One day, a stranger, wrapped in a fur cloak, stumbled upon their home. The man appeared wounded, and had nothing to pay the mortal to acquire their aid. But this mortal took pity on the man, bringing him inside and setting him by the fire, giving him the bigger portions of the meal they had prepared, and tended to his wounds. They let him stay the night, and by the time morning came around he had gone. This the mortal went back to their work...
But this man had not been a mere mortal... No, he had been a god, one of the great Genoshan Pantheon, the feared Wolverine, who had been wounded by a monster he had slain... He had gone back to his home upon the mountain of the gods, and contemplated how he could repay the kindness done to him... Yet no matter how long he thought, he could not think of what they might want or request. So, going back to his mortal disguise, he visited them...
But when he talked with the young mortal, he could not find a thing they wanted. When he asked if they had ever wanted for anything, they laughed. Had they ever wanted treasure, he asked. No, they'd said, their treasure is the shells on the beach and the fossils in the rocks. Did they wish for more food, he inquired. No, they'd said, they had fish from the sea and vegetables from the garden, the birds of the trees and the berries of the bushes for their food. What about power, he tried. They shook their head, no, they said, they do not know what they'd do with power, and would not want it. So he could only sigh to himself. This mortal did not want any treasure of the gods or kingdoms, they did not want great beasts or succulent fruits of the world nor even the ambrosia of the gods, and they did not want a drop of power, not even one. So he decidee, he shall visit them, and keep doing so, to make sure they are well, and to see if he can puzzle out what he can do to return the favor they'd done him...
As three years passed, the god had grown fond of the lonely mortal, viewing them not as a stranger, nor even a comrade, it as one of his own. This startled him, enough that he left, going off to try and be rid of this feeling, for gods were not to care for mortals, were not to be warm, and were not to keep them close...
But alas... the mortal, who had been so very kind, even with what little they'd had, was soon visited by strangers... But these were not kind strangers... After the mortal had gifted them food and drink, and had started a warm fire, the strangers attacked them. They left, taking the mortal's few gifts, some even small tokens from their godly friend, and left the poor mortal to die...
The god soon made a visit, hoping to finally find his answer... only to discover his friend, someone he saw as his child, wounded, their home ransacked, and any possessions possessions had stolen. He was furious! He was enraged! He was... scared. Quick as the Autumn winds, he took his friend to the home of the gods, and begged them to heal them, to make sure it did not happen again. But the gods were in confusion. Why care for a mortal? Why not choose another? But he pressed on... One of the gods, the wise scholar and doctor, Beast, decides to inspect the mortal and see what he could do...
Yet what he found was strange, for it seemed this mortal held a small power, a small drop of divinity... This was a shock to the gods, for none had had children in years... and their creator, Apocalypse the Titan-God, had been sealed for millenia... But whatever the case was, this mortal held some form of divine power, and seeing as they they'd done their fellow god a kindness and held the same power they did, healed them...
The mortal eventually awoke, and soon they were back to their home by the sea and the forest, on their house atop the hill... It would take years for them to notice they did not age, that others saw them not as a mortal, but as a deity now, amd for them to realize they now had the power of a god... and had known one all along...
Thus is the creation of the Deity of Love, Reader...
(I slept a lot the past day, then had an errand to run, but I took the time I could to daydream and plot out this au! Hahaha, you're gonna love it!!! But, yes, basically Reader was a mortal-born deity, who helped Logan, fed him, and then Logan got attached and adopted them, then forced/begged the others to make it so Reader didn't die... then they found out Reader had a divine power, but it was muted/hidden due to them being born mortal...) (And some of the gods agreed because they also had some mortal-with-divine-power kids... it was only a handful, though, some being Sabretooth, who had unknowingly adopted Remy; Xavier, who was teaching Scott and was fond of him as a student/son; and Storm, who had helped Evan's mom have him, and was like an aunt/teacher to him...) (Imagine it like this: mortal kids with divine power are like catnip to the gods; they eventually find them or know about them, but certain gods like certain kids)
So... yeah! What do y'all think? ( @sugar-soda @vivid-bun @thewickedweiner)

Konichiwassup mate! How do you do this bright evening! I am simply buzzed with excitement because I've finally managed to shake off my post exam exhaustion after sleeping through one whole day~
I was wondering what kind of medieval/mystic being our Ateez boyfriends might be and here are my thoughts:
1. Hongjoong: Fairy. A garden fairy to be exact. Like LOOK at his tiny ass (we're the same height) HE'S SO SMOL (He's actually pretty tall) HOW CUTE! (Well that's true.)
Also I can imagine him fly around in the garden perfecting the aesthetics of the place. And no, he'll not keep some basic ass fancy grass, nuh uh, natural vegetation and grass😌
Tumblr media
2. Seonghwa: a Heavenly Nymph. Bro is gorgeous beyond words. His beauty is so sublime he can NEVER be just a mere earthly being. He'd be the most beautiful nymphs of all but equally as deadly. Crpss him and you might just lose a limb.
Tumblr media
Yeosang: Forest Elf. Okay hear me out. LONG BLOND HAIR YEOSANG. AND WE ALL KNOW HOW BEAUTIFUL THE COLOUR GREEN LOOKS ON HIM. But yes he seems like he'll be the forest protector elf. (Maybe Hongjoong and Yeosang play together idk)
Tumblr media
4. Yunho: Dragon. Bro is dragon coded. Like he's SO dragon. Ouu but he'll ne such a sweet dragon tho. Maybe he let's all the forest creatures sleep near him during chilly winters since he naturally exudes warmth.
Tumblr media
5. Woosan: Nine Tail Foxes. They're a pair. Do not separate. I'm thinking Wooyoung would be the Nine Tailed fox that goes "Ohhh you look delicious. I wonder what you taste like!" And San would be like "Wooyo we talked about not scaring random travellers for fun anymore." T~T The Yin-Yang Foxies
Tumblr media
6. Minki: The mountain diety. He's the one in charge of the forest that the boys live in. Though he's just a babie!:(( like one day a random bunny will he minding his business when he comes across Mountain diety Mingi yapping about his problems to a sympathetic Seonghwa while pouting.
Tumblr media
7. Jongho: Moon Spirit. He descends down to the forest at night to sing to all the creatures. The animals sometimes bring him gifts like leaves and shiny pebbles. Has kept them all in a secure box back home.

okay but i love your brain? ateez as medieval/mystical creatures? hello??
okay i've always thought about demons and darker stuff when it comes to hongjoong but now that you say it.... he fits the concept of a garden fairy so well? tiny lil joong (says i who'd look like a dwarf next to him) with his little trinkets and colours he's so fairy coded actually you've changed my perspective of him.
and seonghwa-- you're absolutely right about this one. prettiest nymph in the area and also the deadliest. too pretty for you. too pretty to belong to the earth. im glad all of us agree on that LOL
i always think fairy when i think of yeosang. fairy or angel. but forest elf is such a cute concept i can def entertain it (esp if it's long blonde hair yeosang wearing the colour green you've found me weakness). he would def be friends with hongjoong, often spotted hanging out with him. seonghwa would sometimes join them hehehehehe
yunho! dragon! coded! TAKE ME HOME!! my gut told me i had to make him a dragon and its worked so well (considering i just became an atiny when i wrote take me home, deciding his animal form should be a dragon is sth im a little proud of). you bet he'd have everyone lined up next to him in the winters for him to keep them warm and snug hoho
omg woosan as foxes yes doesn't help they look like actual foxes. nine-tailed fox duo? even better. yin-yang foxes? im violently sobbing right now. wooyoung would def scare the villagers away only for san to scold him afterwards and he would be like :D
omgg minki mountain deity trust us to give mingi some mighty role when he's literally a babie :(( but yes! yapping about his problems to anyone who sits with him long enough and the mountain creatures be like ah shit here we go again :') sometimes yunho the dragon would find this mountain deity and they would hang out im so soft rn
jongho. moon. spirit. lemme kiss your brain. descends down each night to sing the creatures to sleep? (i need him to sing me to sleep too) im gonna write a whole something about this one day just you watch BUT OMGG imagine its winters and all of the ateez are hanging out next to yunho the dragon and jongho joins them and for a while they all hang out until its time to sleep and jongho sings them to sleep and watches his hyungs with those (◠ ◡ ◠) eyes im gonna cry

Airmed Deity Guide
Tumblr media
Who is Airmed?
Airmed, also spelled Airmid is a member of the Tuatha Dé Danann and an Irish goddess with all of the knowledge of herbalism. She is mentioned in the Second Battle of Magh Tuiredh as she healed those who were injured in the battle. Airmed is one of the deities whose incantations was said to resurrect the dead when sung over the Well of Sláine.
Parents and Siblings
Her father is Dian Cecht, the god of medicine and healing
Her brother is Miach
Cu
Cethen
Cian
Étan the poet
Ochtriullach (Octriuil)
Lovers or Partners
None or not mentioned
Children
None or not mentioned
Epithets
None mentioned, though her name may be an epithet of a forgotten name itself
Notes
Following the death of her brother caused by their own father due to his jealousy over his son’s healing talents, Airmed goes to visit the grave of Miach. There she found 365 herbs and was taught their secrets to healing. She spread out her cloak and began to organize them but before she could finish the task her father found her. Jealous again of his child’s talents he picked up the cloak and scattered the herbs, leaving their sacred knowledge lost to history. Only Airmed remembers all of the herbalist knowledge.
The significance of the number 365 may have been as such: “one for each of his joints and sinews, one for each day of the year, one for each illness that ever had been or ever would be.” (Story Archeology)
Well of Sláine essentially translates to “Well of Health”
Airmed and Miach are both etymologically linked to measurements of grain or cereal. Airmed is more of a measurement and Miach is more of the thing being measured (Story Archeology).
In Old Irish, there were no distinctions made between herbs and vegetables and they were generally all considered “useful plants”.
This would make sense as Airmed’s story involves her organizing and counting these useful plants.
I HIGHLY suggest you look into Story Archeology because the hosts of the podcast go into detail about the etymology and possible meanings behind the story of Airmed.
Modern Deity Work
Keep in mind that due to the very little information left about Airmed, most of this modern deity work will be influenced by those who work with her in modern times.
Correspondences
Rocks/Stone/Crystals
Quartz, amethyst, opal, agate (moss agate), jasper, silver
Herbs/Plants
You could argue that all of them—or at least 365 of them—correspond to Airmed as she is an herbalist
Healing herbs specifically
Self Heal (prunella vulgaris)
Animals
Snakes (sometimes associated with healing as well as waters in Celtic mythology)
Symbol
Mortar and Pestle
Healing Wells
Offerings
Herbs, especially those native to Ireland
Donate to local medical facilities
Any of the above
Acts of Devotion
Learn Herbalism
Practice healing or medicine
Pay respects to those in medical careers
Volunteer at medical centers
Possibly looking into necromancy as she is known to bring the dead back to life (though this is a stretch)
References and Further Reading
Most of these are going to be UPG or similar and not based much in history but I’m trying to add as many as possible for those interested in further looking into this diety.

The Gods worshipped at Sparta - Further Details.
Following on from my post re. Ares not being worshipped at Sparta, below is a list of gods and heroes who were.
I have excluded those shrines and temples that we know of outside of Sparta itself, because these can be considered perioikic rather than Spartan places of worship. It is possible that Spartiates might have worshipped there, but in my opinion, it's much less likely.
I am still collating my extensive notes, but I am fairly certain this is a complete list of those we can say with any certainty were worshipped.
Agamemnon
From 550, worshipped as a hero at Amyklai (which was the southernmost village of Sparta, five kilometres south of the akropolis).
Alexandra
Worshipped at Amyklai, probably to be identified with Trojan Kassandra, thus associated with Agamemnon (6th C)
Apollo & Hyakinthos
Worshipped in Amkylia at the Amyklaion/Apollonion, and honoured during the Hykainthia.
Hyakinthos may originally have been a vegetation deity; his worship was earth-bound in character. He was perhaps the aboriginal deity of Amyklai (pre-Dorian & pre-Greek) and his worship spread out from Lakedaimon.
Apollo was the chief deity, worshipped in his martial aspect.
Cult site of Apollo Hyakinthos was adorned with an especially showy piece installed in 6th C, namely a multi-imaged throne of stone & precious materials for the idol.
Hyakinthos' mythology, summarised from Apollodorus’ Mythology: Cleio [daughter of Zeus and Mnemosyne, Memory] and Pieros [son of Magnes (who?)] defied Aphrodite and slept together. Cleio had mocked Aphrodite for falling in love with Adonis, so Aphrodite doomed her to suffer the same fate. Loving mortals was fine for the gods, but was considered demeaning for goddesses. Hyakinthos was born of the union.
He aroused the passion of Thamyris [son of Phillammon & Argiope (nymph)] who was the first man to love other males. Hyakinthos later died at the hand of Apollo, who became his lover and killed him accidentally when throwing a discus.’ It was sometimes said that the west or north wind also sought his favour, so when he went with Apollo instead, blew the discus on purpose.
Artemis Issoria
Sanctuary in the west of Sparta (Mesoa?)
Artemis Karyatis
Located outside Sparta, at a perioikic town called Karyai. It was northeast of Sparta along the river Oinous, an area deeply important to Sparta. Spartan girls participated in dancing there.
Artemis Orthia
Worshipped at Limnai. First stone temple was built c. 565 ie. from spoils of 1st Messenian War. Temple Artemis Orthia integral to agoge. She was a goddess who was understood to stalk the boundary between youth and adulthood.
Athena Chalkioikos [of the Brazen-House.]
Worshipped on the akropolis of Sparta.
Demeter and Kore
Worshipped at the Eleusion, south of the Menelaion.
Dionysos Kolatas
Worshipped in Sparta, eastern side of the Akropolis?
Eleven women (unspecified age) ran a race in his honour; they (the girls/women) were called the Dionysiades. The race was run to select a priestess of Dionysos Kolatas. Exclusively open to Spartiate women.
Dioskuri (Kastor and Polydeukes)
Helen’s brothers; may have been house spirits before they became heroes. Supposed to live underground at Therapne, and played a major role in Lakedaimon culture and politics. The (perioikic) towns of Pellana and Pephnos each claimed to be their birthplace.
Their images were carried with the army when it marched as a talisman (one or both of them).
Driodones
Local dieties. Women ran races in their honour.
Helen & Menelaus
Worshipped at the Menelaion, east of Sparta. This is the area where the Mycenaean city of Sparta once stood.
It was believed at Sparta that Helen had the power to beautify plain girls if they worshipped her.
Foot races were run by women in Helen’s honour. 240 Korai ran the race, which was open to Perioikoi as well as Spartan women. This was perhaps a pre-nuptial rite.
Orestes
Bones retrieved from Tegea and returned to Sparta where they were buried. This was done, as with the Menelaion, to create a strong religious bond between Sparta and Arkadia, during the time when Sparta had designs on the area (Unsuccessful).
Zeus Messapeus
Temple/sanctuary 4km north of Sparta.

It's said that the first concious beings were two brothers, generated by the absence of the void. Their bond was incredibily strong, enough to create the world in it's existence. The two resided in the sea, the place from which life first originated. Initially, they had no body, but as time went on, they gained physical attributes.
The younger one, Cássian, had one of the most fair faces, his long, silky ,cotton like hair originated the first living beings, as well as the first vegetal organisms. Formely, his first half resembled a human's, his lower took the form of a seal's, the brother's favourite creation.
The older one, Nanir, had a similar form. However, unlike his brother, he possessed a pair of limbs at the end, what will then turn into legs. His hair - just as long as his brother's - was made out of tentacles, an attribute from his personal favourite, the octopus. He was his brother's protector, his strength becoming physical rather than spiritual, his hair becoming a weapon rather than an ornament.
They both possessed a bright set of eyes, their scleras respectevly teal for Cássian, ocre for Nanir, without a trace of a pupil. It guaranteed them to see in the lowly, cold, depths of the sea, from which they resided the most. Their statures were impressive, taller than any beings created - however Nanir could tower over his brother easily. It Is also the reason as to why Nanir was perceived as a octopus-like monster instead, especially after the following events unfold.
One day, inspired by his brother's appearence, Cássian created another living being, humans. The brother was enthusiastic. He yearned to interact with those beings, the first ones to ever be able to talk through words, and so similar to them.
With centuries passing, the desire to see them was stronger and stronger, until one day, under an human's disguise, he left the sea. Nonir had warned him to not interfene in mortal questions, yet, he didn't listen.
When Nonir noticed his brother's absence, he was became enraged. Blaming humans for his brother's disappereance, he started to intervene in human questions, every interviniance worse than the last one. He had also disguised himself as an human, hoping to see his brother - even for one last time.
Only when Cássian realised how much damage he was doing by being apart from his brother did he try to stop him.
His reluctance came from the affection towards his brother, as well as his weakening of his powers. When the day came, the two's confrontation blew into a war between gods, from which Cássian became victorious, after impaling Nonir.
The sorrowful, disturbed diety soon followed his brother, perishing the same fate, dying into his brother's arms. With their demise, all Cássian's creations weeped, a moment for the creator, who killed blood of his own blood, and for the protector, who not only failed his loved brother, but failed himself .
It's said that their souls keep trying to find eachother, even in afterlife, and that one day, when the moon would be the closest to the sea, the closest moment between mortal and afterworld, the two would reincarnate.
If they were to meet again, they would die a true death, but not only for them, but for all they created as well.
i don't know who to tag BUT im summoning @a-chaotic-dumbass mwa mwa <33

A Vegan Diet
A vegan diet is a type of plant-based diet that excludes all animal products, including meat, dairy, eggs, and honey. Instead, individuals following the diet consume a variety of plant-based foods, including fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, seeds, and plant-based alternatives to animal products. While some people choose to follow the diet for ethical reasons, such as concerns about animal welfare or environmental sustainability, others adopt a vegan diet for health reasons or to support weight loss goals.

Vegan Diet Foods:
One of the key principles of avegan dietis the emphasis on whole, minimally processed plant-based foods. This includes a wide variety of fruits and vegetables, which provide essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants to support overall health and well-being. Other plant-based foods commonly consumed on the diet include grains such as rice, quinoa, and oats, as well as legumes such as beans, lentils, and chickpeas, which are excellent sources of protein, fiber, and other nutrients.

dont mean this in a food snob way or a diety way or a vegany way at all but i genuinely dont understand how folks who dont eat raw fruits n veges cope in the summer months. when the temperatures start hitting like 16+ degrees i dont wanna cook and i dont want hot food, my body says 'hi give me crunchy cold things straight from the fridgerator' and i put things like cucumber slices and carrot sticks and radishes and cherry tomatoes and celery and bowls of fruit salad in it. What do people who dont like raw fruits n vegetables eat when its hot for a long time??? you cant live off iceblocks and jelly and juice for months

Diet Confusion: Debunking Common Myths and Misconceptions
Carbs are the Enemy: Why You Need Them in Your Diet
Carbohydrates, or carbs, have been demonized in the world of dieting for years. Many people believe that cutting carbs out of their diet is the key to weight loss and a healthier lifestyle. However, this is a common misconception that can actually be harmful to your health.
Carbs are one of the three macronutrients that our bodies need to function properly, along with protein and fat. They are our body’s primary source of energy and are essential for brain function, muscle movement, and overall physical performance.
There are two types of carbs: simple and complex. Simple carbs are found in foods like sugar, honey, and fruit, while complex carbs are found in foods like whole grains, vegetables, and legumes. Complex carbs are the healthier option because they are digested more slowly, providing a steady stream of energy throughout the day.
One of the biggest misconceptions about carbs is that they are responsible for weight gain. While it is true that consuming too many calories can lead to weight gain, it is not solely the fault of carbs. In fact, studies have shown that a low-carb diet is not necessarily more effective for weight loss than a low-fat diet.
Cutting carbs out of your diet can also have negative effects on your health. Carbs are important for maintaining healthy blood sugar levels, and a lack of carbs can lead to hypoglycemia, or low blood sugar. This can cause symptoms like dizziness, fatigue, and even fainting.
Additionally, a low-carb diet can lead to nutrient deficiencies. Many healthy foods that are high in carbs, like fruits and vegetables, also contain important vitamins and minerals that our bodies need to function properly. Cutting these foods out of your diet can lead to deficiencies in these nutrients.
So, how much carbs should you be consuming? The answer varies depending on your individual needs and goals. However, the Dietary Guidelines for Americans recommend that carbs make up 45-65% of your daily caloric intake.
It is also important to choose healthy sources of carbs. Instead of reaching for processed foods like white bread and sugary snacks, opt for whole grains, fruits, vegetables, and legumes. These foods are not only high in carbs, but also contain important nutrients that our bodies need.
In conclusion, carbs are not the enemy. They are an essential part of a healthy diet and provide our bodies with the energy and nutrients we need to function properly. Cutting carbs out of your diet can lead to negative health effects and is not necessarily more effective for weight loss. Instead, focus on consuming healthy sources of carbs and maintaining a balanced diet.
The Truth About Fad Diets: Why They Don’t Work Long-Term
Diet Confusion: Debunking Common Myths and Misconceptions
The world of dieting can be a confusing and overwhelming place. With so many fad diets and conflicting information, it’s no wonder that many people struggle to find a sustainable and healthy way of eating. In this article, we’ll explore the truth about fad diets and why they don’t work long-term.
Firstly, it’s important to understand what a fad diet is. A fad diet is a weight loss plan that promises quick results through extreme and often unsustainable methods. These diets often eliminate entire food groups or require strict calorie counting, which can be difficult to maintain over time.
One of the biggest problems with fad diets is that they often lead to a cycle of weight loss and gain, commonly known as yo-yo dieting. This is because these diets are not sustainable in the long-term and can lead to feelings of deprivation and binge eating.
Another issue with fad diets is that they often lack essential nutrients that our bodies need to function properly. For example, a low-carb diet may eliminate important sources of fiber and vitamins found in whole grains and fruits. Similarly, a vegan diet may lack important sources of protein and vitamin B12 found in animal products.
It’s also important to note that fad diets can have negative effects on our mental health. The constant focus on restriction and weight loss can lead to feelings of guilt and shame around food, which can be damaging to our self-esteem and overall well-being.
So, if fad diets don’t work long-term, what does? The answer is simple: a balanced and sustainable approach to eating. This means focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods and finding a way of eating that works for your individual needs and preferences.
One way to achieve this is through intuitive eating, which involves listening to your body’s hunger and fullness cues and eating in a way that feels satisfying and nourishing. This approach emphasizes the importance of enjoying all foods in moderation and rejecting the diet mentality.
Another approach is to focus on adding more whole foods to your diet, rather than eliminating certain foods or food groups. This can be done by incorporating more fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins into your meals.
It’s also important to remember that healthy eating is not just about what you eat, but how you eat. This means taking the time to savor your food, eating mindfully, and avoiding distractions such as screens or work while eating.
In conclusion, fad diets may promise quick results, but they are not sustainable in the long-term and can have negative effects on our physical and mental health. Instead, a balanced and sustainable approach to eating is key to achieving and maintaining a healthy weight and overall well-being. By focusing on whole, nutrient-dense foods and finding a way of eating that works for you, you can achieve a healthy and enjoyable relationship with food.
Eating Fat Won’t Make You Fat: Understanding the Role of Healthy Fats in Your Diet
WPAICG_IMAGE Diet Confusion: Debunking Common Myths and Misconceptions
Eating Fat Won’t Make You Fat: Understanding the Role of Healthy Fats in Your Diet
For years, we have been told that eating fat is bad for us and that it will make us gain weight. However, recent studies have shown that not all fats are created equal, and that some fats are actually good for us. In fact, eating healthy fats can help us lose weight, improve our heart health, and even boost our brain function.
So, what are healthy fats, and how can we incorporate them into our diet? Let’s take a closer look.
First, it’s important to understand that there are three types of fats: saturated, unsaturated, and trans fats. Saturated fats are typically found in animal products such as meat and dairy, as well as in some plant-based oils like coconut oil. Unsaturated fats, on the other hand, are found in foods like nuts, seeds, and avocados, as well as in oils like olive oil and canola oil. Trans fats are the worst type of fat, and are typically found in processed foods like baked goods and fried foods.
Now, let’s talk about why healthy fats are so important. First and foremost, they are essential for our body to function properly. Fats help us absorb vitamins and minerals, and they also play a role in hormone production. Additionally, healthy fats can help us feel full and satisfied, which can prevent overeating and lead to weight loss.
One of the best sources of healthy fats is fatty fish, such as salmon, tuna, and mackerel. These fish are high in omega-3 fatty acids, which have been shown to reduce inflammation, improve heart health, and even boost brain function. If you’re not a fan of fish, you can also get omega-3s from other sources like chia seeds, flaxseeds, and walnuts.
Another great source of healthy fats is avocados. Avocados are high in monounsaturated fats, which have been shown to improve cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease. They are also a good source of fiber, which can help regulate blood sugar levels and promote feelings of fullness.
Nuts and seeds are also a great source of healthy fats. Almonds, for example, are high in monounsaturated fats and have been shown to improve cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease. Walnuts are another great option, as they are high in omega-3 fatty acids and have been shown to improve brain function.
It’s important to note that while healthy fats are good for us, they are still high in calories. This means that we should consume them in moderation and be mindful of portion sizes. A good rule of thumb is to aim for a small handful of nuts or seeds per day, and to limit our intake of high-fat foods like cheese and butter.
In conclusion, eating fat won’t make you fat – as long as you’re eating the right kind of fat. Healthy fats, such as those found in fatty fish, avocados, nuts, and seeds, are essential for our body to function properly and can even help us lose weight and improve our heart health. So, don’t be afraid to incorporate these foods into your diet – your body will thank you for it.
The Importance of Portion Control: How Much Should You Really Be Eating?
Diet Confusion: Debunking Common Myths and Misconceptions
The Importance of Portion Control: How Much Should You Really Be Eating?
When it comes to dieting, there are a lot of myths and misconceptions out there. One of the most common is the idea that you need to cut out entire food groups or drastically reduce your calorie intake in order to lose weight. However, the truth is that portion control is one of the most important factors in maintaining a healthy diet.
So, how much should you really be eating? The answer to that question depends on a variety of factors, including your age, gender, height, weight, and activity level. However, there are some general guidelines that can help you determine the appropriate portion sizes for your meals.
First and foremost, it’s important to understand that portion sizes have increased significantly over the past few decades. In fact, many of the meals we eat today are two to three times larger than they were in the 1950s. This increase in portion sizes has contributed to the obesity epidemic that we’re currently facing.
To combat this trend, it’s important to pay attention to the serving sizes listed on food labels. For example, a serving of pasta is typically one cup, while a serving of meat is about the size of a deck of cards. By measuring out your portions and sticking to these guidelines, you can ensure that you’re not overeating.
Another important factor to consider is the composition of your meals. Ideally, your plate should be filled with a variety of nutrient-dense foods, including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats. These foods will provide your body with the energy and nutrients it needs to function properly, while also helping you feel full and satisfied.
In addition to paying attention to portion sizes and meal composition, it’s also important to listen to your body’s hunger and fullness cues. This means eating when you’re hungry and stopping when you’re full, rather than relying on external cues like the clock or the amount of food on your plate.
One way to do this is to practice mindful eating. This involves paying close attention to the taste, texture, and aroma of your food, as well as the sensations in your body as you eat. By slowing down and savoring your meals, you’ll be more likely to notice when you’re full and less likely to overeat.
Of course, there are some situations where portion control may not be enough to achieve your health goals. For example, if you have a medical condition like diabetes or high blood pressure, you may need to follow a more specific diet plan. Similarly, if you’re an athlete or someone who engages in regular physical activity, you may need to consume more calories to fuel your workouts.
In these cases, it’s important to work with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian to develop a personalized nutrition plan that meets your individual needs.
In conclusion, portion control is a crucial component of a healthy diet. By paying attention to serving sizes, meal composition, and your body’s hunger and fullness cues, you can ensure that you’re eating the right amount of food to support your health and wellness goals. While there may be some situations where a more specific diet plan is necessary, these general guidelines can help you make informed choices about what and how much to eat.
The Dangers of Skipping Meals: Why You Shouldn’t Skip Breakfast or Any Other Meal
Diet Confusion: Debunking Common Myths and Misconceptions
The world of dieting can be a confusing and overwhelming place. With so many conflicting opinions and advice, it can be difficult to know what to believe. One common misconception is that skipping meals, particularly breakfast, can help with weight loss. However, this is far from the truth.
Skipping meals can actually have negative effects on your health and weight loss goals. Breakfast is often referred to as the most important meal of the day, and for good reason. It kickstarts your metabolism and provides you with the energy you need to start your day. When you skip breakfast, your body goes into starvation mode, slowing down your metabolism and conserving energy. This can lead to overeating later in the day and ultimately, weight gain.
Skipping meals can also lead to a drop in blood sugar levels, causing you to feel tired, irritable, and unable to concentrate. This can affect your productivity and overall well-being. Additionally, skipping meals can lead to nutrient deficiencies, as you are not getting the necessary vitamins and minerals your body needs to function properly.
It is important to note that not all meals are created equal. Eating a balanced breakfast that includes protein, healthy fats, and complex carbohydrates can provide you with sustained energy throughout the day. On the other hand, skipping breakfast or opting for a sugary, processed breakfast can lead to a crash in energy levels and cravings for unhealthy foods.
The same goes for other meals throughout the day. Skipping meals can lead to overeating and poor food choices later on. It is important to listen to your body’s hunger cues and fuel it with nutritious foods throughout the day. This can help regulate your metabolism and prevent overeating.
In addition to the negative effects on weight loss and overall health, skipping meals can also have psychological effects. It can lead to feelings of guilt and shame, as well as a negative relationship with food. It is important to approach food with a balanced and positive mindset, rather than viewing it as something to be restricted or avoided.
In conclusion, skipping meals, particularly breakfast, is not a healthy or effective way to lose weight. It can lead to negative effects on your metabolism, energy levels, and overall health. Instead, focus on eating balanced meals throughout the day and listening to your body’s hunger cues. This can help regulate your metabolism, prevent overeating, and promote a positive relationship with food. Remember, a healthy diet is not about restriction or deprivation, but rather about nourishing your body with nutritious foods.
Conclusion
Conclusion: Diet confusion is a common problem that many people face when trying to improve their health and lose weight. There are many myths and misconceptions surrounding diet and nutrition that can make it difficult to know what to eat and how much to eat. However, by debunking these myths and misconceptions, individuals can make informed decisions about their diet and achieve their health goals. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional or registered dietitian to develop a personalized nutrition plan that meets individual needs and preferences.

Water : its the most important component of our intake. One should take 10 to 12 glasses of water everyday. It helps in maintaining hydration, boosts immune system, improves blood flow and helps in proper functioning of hormones.
2 . You should cut out certain things like alcohol, coffee, spicy foods and foods containing sugars like candies and pastries.
After embryo transfer, your diet should focus on a wide range of foods. Try to eat a healthy diet containing lots of vegetables and fruit that is low in fat and calories, but with plenty of lean proteins, whole grains and other grains.
IVF Specialist in Delhi
Based on the extensive research on weight loss at different stages of fertility treatments, doctors advise women to maintain their normal diet during and after IVF for a successful pregnancy.
IVF is considered as a high risk of developing gestational diabetes, which may increase the risk for delivering low-birth weight babies . Therefore, avoiding high calorie foods, junk ,soda is useful.
Having fresh fruits and vegetables like bananas , oranges, berries, dates, sprouts, broccolietcwill eliminate post-IVF digestive problems.
Although, fats arent considered healthy, some fats like olive oil, sesame oil, flax seed oil and chia seed oil are beneficial for the mother and the baby.
Overall one just needs to be mindful of what you are eating during undergoing the treatment and one does not need to stressout much about what to eat and what not to eat. A healthy body and healthy mind leads to a happy pregnancy.

Mind-Clearing Grapefruit Marmalade
Tumblr media
Grapefruit is a cleansing, purifying fruit. It can help cleanse the mind of doubt and negativity while helping keep your thoughts pure and focused.
As someone who actually loves marmalade, I created a very simple marmalade recipe that needs only one grapefruit and a bit of sugar. This recipe can help cleanse your mind while both cooking and eating it. You can add whatever other favors you want to it (lemon would be great, as it has energetic properties) and incorporate their uses in it as well.
Onto the recipe!
You will need:
One grapefruit: Cleansing, purifying
3/4 cup of sugar: Invoking sweetness
1 tsp of vanilla extract: Self-appreciation
A pot
A vegetable peeler
A knife
A cutting board
Instructions:
Cleanse your kitchen.
Wash your fruit thoroughly and use moon water to rinse it off. You can also use a sat scrub to cleanse it further, both spiritually and physically. Once that's over, peel one large strip of grapefruit peel. Set aside.
Cut your fruit into wheel slices and poke out any seeds. Using the tip of your knife, carefully, carefully, cut off the peel and pith. Too much of these will turn your marmalade very bitter but make decent cleansing tea.
In your pot, add your zest strip, fruit, and sugar. Stir it well until all of the fruit is covered in sugar. Over medium-high heat, cook it all down while stirring constantly. Mash up the fruit with a fork or potato masher until all of the fruit is liquified and as smooth as you can get it. (This is when you can add powdered herbs, lemon pieces, etc)
Reduce heat to low and cook at a simmer until it can coat the back of a spoon thickly. This should take about 10-12 minutes. Stir occasionally.
Remove the peel of zest and perform the fridge test. This is done by placing a collop of marmalade on a small plate and sticking it in the fridge or freezer until it's completely cooled. If you want it thicker, continue cooking the marmalade. (This is also when you want to remove any chunks like herbs or lemon chunks)
Once it's to your liking, remove the marmalade off of the heat and cool SLIGHTLY before putting it in a heat-safe container with a lid.
This should keep in the fridge for about a month. It's tasty on toast, ice cream, or as an additive to a citrus cake! It can also be a good offering for homesteading, nature, or fruit-related dieties. The scraps of grapefruit can be used in tea or even candied.
As always everyone, blessed be, and happy witching <3

What I absolutely love about the Wood Elves from The Elder Scrolls is they are the best interpretation of elves that "live in harmony with trees" ever.
That being; Bosmer in TES live in an extremely large Jungle called Valenwood. Valenwood itself is weird because the trees are migratory but that's another story for another day. The point is Bosmer cities are housed within the migratory trees of this jungle. And more importantly, the Bosmer have an extremely close kinship with the trees and plantlife of their jungle. In fact they have a pact with the forest deity that, in exchange for the diety's protection, the Bosmer will not harm any vegetation in the forest.
at all.
As in they cannot use wood to build things, they cannot use plant matter to make clothing (so no cotton or things of the like). They cannot use the leaves or the berried or the branches or any part of any plant within the jungle.
And since they live IN a jungle, this makes for extremely harsh living conditions. So everything they wear, every tool they use and every food item they eat is carnivorous. They only wear leather and fur and bone, and only use weapons made of bone, claws, teeth and stone.
And also, because it makes food extremely difficult to come by, they are also the only race in TES with a very documented and open culture of cannibalism.
I have yet to see THAT kind of "in tune with nature and the trees" culture of elves taken to a logical extreme like this in any other fantasy setting. And it's glorious.
