Play for Today: Under the Hammer (BBC, 1984)
"So. Tell me what happened."
"Well. It was me. I kicked it."
"Any particular reason?"
"I lost my temper."
"Who with?"
"I was having a... discussion about the painting and things to do with the painting with McClaren, sir, and, uh... it got out of hand."
"And you kicked the painting?"
"Yes, sir."
"Instead of kicking McClaren?"
"Yes, sir."
"I wish you'd kicked McClaren."
"So do I, sir."

The ‘Paper Girls‘ Netflix show inspired me to get my hands on a copy of the original comic series – and wasn’t disappointed. It’s got that ’80s vibe, sarcastic teens and crazy time travel.

Paper Girl's by Brian K. Vaughn, Cliff Chiang, Matt Wilson, and Jared K. Fletcher
This one was a little confusing, but the illustrations were great. The next two volumes are being sent to my library, so I'll see if it starts making more sense once I get those. This definitely was a good start, I don't need all the answers right now, but I do have a lot of questions.

Book review: Paper Girls vol.1-6 by Brian K. Vaughan, Cliff Chiang, Matt Wilson
Rating: 3⭐️
The story of these comics was really surprising and intriguing for me. The concept: teenager papergirls, that in the middle of their workday, find themselves time traveling and in a war as consequence of that event. It was actually really good. The design and world building was really good.
But even though I liked it, after each volume I had more questions than answers. And the solution (in the last volume) for the war was kind of shitty and anticlimactic for me. I was frustrated with that.
However, overall it was a good reading.
