Reem would love kids. One or two would be enough, though. Plus, she's worried about the money aspect, because right now, she isn't financially stable enough to even think about having children. Not to mention the lack of a partner, though I suppose that's the easiest problem to solve.

Flo... no. He likes kids, a lot, he likes teaching and he likes the campers, but they exhaust him. The idea of having to deal with so much as a single one 24/7 is a horror story on its own to him.

Anita is uncertain right now. She's been pressured all her life to be perfect, have perfect grades, find a partner and have children. Her parents have ingrained these ideas in her, and deep down, she just wants to be free of it all for a while. However, once she's taken time to get to know herself (which will happen post SHC plot, like, think a couple years later), she'll come to the conclusion that she does want kids and a family. But on her own terms. As for how many, she'd prefer to have one and lavish all her attention on them, but things happen and once she's become more comfortable with herself, she'll be open to the possibility of more.

Basil, yes, he absolutely does. The more, the better. He wants to be a dad, and he'll lose it over an MC who's good with kids. Besides, Basil is used to them. His Dad had three more kids when Basil was in his late teen/young adult years, after all. He's a devoted big brother so he counts that as practice. Besides, he has the financial means to care for a whole bunch of kids. HOWEVER, these are all plans for AFTER he's done traveling. He wants to wait until his mid-thirties until he starts seriously looking into options. He loves his van too much to give it up just yet, and he will NOT force vanlife on his children.

Sawyer...

This is difficult for them, like most intimate questions are. The thing is, Sawyer is the youngest of all the ROs and they haven't seriously started thinking about kids yet. Adding to that is their own backstory which I won't share yet but yeahhh it's complicated. But! Give them a few years to heal and grow, and one day, they'll show up like "yes I'm ready to breed now".

Short answer: the current unstable version Sawyer doesn't want kids, please wait for the patch/update for the family addition. Also, this is especially funny to me cuz I imagine Sawyer as an enby version of the cigarette mom.

I don't remember if you've explained this but how does merge hc/Firnn work?

I haven't but here u go:

we'll get there in vanlife au in a few pages but Fern is made up of two things: grass/lamiaceae plants and Finn's soul. Him melding with grass/plants like HW should be possible, but using the same method he should also be able to reform into Finn. Nothing is stopping him from hopping back onto his arm. Nothing fundamentally/physically changed about the grass demon when it devoured the Finn Sword and the bit of soul inside of it, it just changed shapes to conform with the identity/memories it grew itself around. Finn is still cursed, that bond is still there, and he's still an appropriate vessel that would resonate correctly.

outside of the comic/post CAWM? I think if Finn were ever to go to Prismo without thinking on his wording he'd say something stupid like "I wish Fern was back to normal," and... well his "normal" is being a parasitic presence on Finn's arm. I don't think they'd be able to live separately for longer than 10 or so minutes without Fern desiccating/wilting away because he doesn't have a stable body of his own anymore without the curse.

Depending on how long it's been I think he'd be resentful and lose himself a little in Finn. Fern would take every opportunity he could to exist outside of him, it'd be a long while until he's comfortable just living like this now. In vanlife Fern has solidified his "self" over the past 6 years, so it'd be a comforting annoyance that he does to heal Finn, keep HW around (the only reason HW starts letting herself have feelings for him is because Fern's regeneration abilities would turn Finn less-than mortal. She's pragmatic and mortals are too fragile to get attached to), or-- I guess you could think of it as cuddling/a squoze lol. Their soul is closer to itself/almost whole again, it'd feel like a weighted blanket. Finn just wakes up some days and he's got a grass arm and a very grumbly Fern in his head hissing at him to not ask.

idk what heartlurch's/2finn's original idea was with how merge hc would work, but those are mine /shrug/

here are my thoughts for my take on @darlin-djarin and that anon's Vanlife AU

1: so honestly imo it's Ezra that starts it, just bc chronically online teenager feels he has to share about his life xoxo. like hera is legit just required to be constantly on the move for her job (which is confidential and a great mystery) and this life works best for them. just how it is. so Ezra just literally makes videos about how his life is and then it blew out of proportion bc oH No NoT aNoThEr aBuSiVe VaN LiFe FaMiLy. like its literally the opposite of sticking children in a cramped space for clout. its the kids demanding to go with hera on her travels and then filming about it.

2: the Phantom is a second form of transportation that they haul on the back of the van(like a car or motorcycle? idk yet. each have their own potential.probs a car tbh for the ease of toting everyone to another location w/out having to pack up the van. BUT I CANT SHAKE THE IDEA OF HERA HAVING A MOTORCYCLE ITS SO SEXY). OR IT WAS. before Ezra absolutely crashed it. they got another but by god. by god will viewers never let him live it down.

3: i have no idea how fenn rau fits in but if its anything like canon it would be so funny for it to be like "this is fenn rau the whiteboy we picked up after he accidentally crashed into hera that one time now he's kanan's best friend xoxo". along that line im not sure hondo fits in either. but he's gotta be there. so that he can have his weird uncle moments w ezra.

4: and yeah. those people hitting on hera or kanan or zeb in the comments. ezra finding it funny to go "stop thats my mom/dad." sabine losing her gotdamb mind every time someone hits on zeb. why does she have to see this. keep those thougths to yourselves, people!

5: and still all those ways kanan gets to troll ableists. that lives in my head forever. rent free. he'd get to tear into fake-claming and "natural remedies" (how do you remedy burned-out eyeballs bro. you cant.) and claims of sexism and all that shit like that and it would be hilarious. 10/10 what a great way for me to cope

hello I saw you mention the vanlife au and as the anon who first brought up the idea (I have no way of proving this but like. it's not really relevant anyways) I would like to contribute another scenario/idea thing to it

sabine likes to spray paint the side of the van (she used to paint the entire thing but then it was raining once while they were driving and the paint started to run and cover the windscreen. she was banned after that lol) with little designs. She doesn't seal it so it fades pretty quickly based on the weather cause she likes doing new designs often.

Sabine usually films herself painting it and one time when doing that she ends the tiktok by going to find someone to show it off to so they can do one of those overdramtic reaction shots. In the end she finds Hera or somebody for it, but she films herself walking through the van and along the way she passes Kanan and doesn't ask him. so half the comments are just "Woahhhhh, can't believe kanan doesn't care about his kids interests?? clearly if he did sabine would've asked him to look at it. another reason he's the worst"

(unrelated headcanon that could also apply to regular rebels, but I like to think that after Kanan gets blinded, if Sabine ever paints on canvas or anything like that with thick paint she gives it to Kanan and makes him rate it on texture alone. She’s not doing it just to humour him or as some pity thing either, she wants his actual opinion. I think she'd get really big on trying to incorporate other senses into her art)

htf ranked on how they felt sleeping in the same bed with their s/o for the first time?

cuddles: he'll remember the first night he shares a bed with his s/o as the best night of sleep he's gotten in years. he feels cozy and so very loved, and he never wants to leave

giggles: she's dated a handful of people in her life, but she never quite gets used to the very first time sharing a bed with a new partner. it leaves her feeling very serene in a way she doesn't ever quite know what to do with

toothy: he stays up for a while just trying to convince himself the whole experience is real. every time he remembers that it is, that he's really sharing a bed with someone he loves, he gets this rush of giddiness and affection.

petunia: she has mixed feelings. on one hand, this is a pretty big disruption to her routine, which she wants to dislike, but on the other hand.. the idea of this specific disruption becoming the norm grows on her pretty quickly.

handy: the best way to describe how he feels is "secure". he definitely feels like everything he's worked for has come together when he rolls over and sees the person he loves sleeping soundly next to him.

nutty: giddy and excited doesn't even begin to describe him. he probably keeps his partner up with him late into the night by accident because he's just so overjoyed that he's sharing a bed with someone he loves, and who loves him too

sniffles: he's quieter about it, but excitement keeps him up half the night too. he keeps rolling over to look at his s/o and going "omg we're sharing a bed... omg they're RIGHT THERE!!"

pop: mixed feelings for him. sharing a bed with a partner brings back a lot of memories of his late wife, which understandably carry grief with them, but he can't deny that he missed sleeping with someone next to him. the experience soothes a part of him that was missing the contact. a net positive, overall.

flaky: there's a baseline nervousness there that just comes with being them, but for the most part, they feel safe, and they feel relaxed. no matter what the next day brings, things are easy for the night.

mole: having someone in his space is an adjustment for him, and he's not sure how to feel about it at first. once he gets used to it, though, he appreciates the warmth and closeness of having someone sleep next to him.

disco bear: as much as he plays the romantic ladykiller flirt role, he's really not used to sleeping with someone in the non-innuendo sense of the phrase. he's uncharacteristically nervous about it, wondering if his partner is comfortable, if it would be too much to wrap his arms around them, all sorts of worries crossing his mind. he enjoys it once he gets out of his own head, but that takes a while

russell: he wouldn't know how to put it in words if anyone asked, but the strongest feeling he gets is a feeling that something is finally right, where it wasn't before.

lifty and shifty: i think these two had to share a bed for a long time (#vanlife) and as such are completely desensitized to bed sharing as a concept. it doesn't even occur to them that most would find it notable.

mime: he can't help but look over and smile every few seconds. he's completely head over heels and so giddy about the fact that someone he loves is here with him!!

flippy: if you asked him, he would swear up and down that he just enjoyed being close with his s/o, cozy and comfortable and warm. but deep down, the real reason he enjoyed it so much was that he felt protected. in his day to day life he's pretty on guard, but when he snuggles up to his love, he feels safe for once, vulnerable in a good way.

lammy: she also feels safe and protected, but obviously for different reasons. she trusts that her partner would react to any threats, and so if there's no reaction, there's no real threat, which puts her mind at ease and let's her rest soundly.

splendid: he feels a deep sense of satisfaction and quite honestly he's so smug about it. to him, his partner is finally right where they were always supposed to be: in his arms. took them long enough!

splendont: he's not used to this kind of closeness. it takes him a while to let his guard down and relax enough to enjoy it, but once he does, he just melts. it's easily the best night's sleep he's ever gotten.

2) More City AU: the three MLC vanlifers are stuck in the City for a bit because some relative of FDB hired LLH on retainer, and they work on the concept of detoxification. Slice of life, multi-fandom, utterly self-indulgent.
