William Lancer had not had contact with his family in a long time. He had packed up and left Gotham so he would never have to deal with any of them ever again. He stood by that decision, even changing his last name to his grandmother’s. He never wanted to see or hear from his sister or his parents ever again.
However, when a boy showed up at his door in bright colors, crying about how Shelia had given birth to him and abandoned him and how he couldn’t find her but the boy could find him and could he please stay for a few weeks???? Something in his mind hardened. He set his shoulders in a way he hadn’t since leaving Gotham.
He had spent the last month dealing with ghosts and magic he didn’t understand. This however? This was something he knew how to deal with. This was Gotham shit.
And he would be damned if he let another Haywood suffer.
