See this is why we need more media of the following if people actually want to talk about old timey fuckboy vampires:

-Lord Ruthven: Player, gambler, world traveller, soothsayer. Seduces maidens to marry him, and on their wedding night he stabs them, drinks their blood, and leaves for the next one. Makes men shut down and swear oaths of loyalty.

-Carmilla: (for your Fuckboy until Getting Smitten trope). literally has a travelling troupe she goes from village to village with, saduing and drinking girl after girl without fail, then she meets Laura and goes babe I am ready to settle. in undeath. all those other girls did not matter. i have never fallen in love with any just you babe die in me. doesn't stop her from biting her titty every night and drinking her like a caprisun

-Clarimonde is textually performing orgies all over France. it makes an Abbot so mad that she's corrupting people into sin among them a young priest. she keeps having those parties even after she seduces her boytoy. unlike Carmilla though she hates harming him and struggles badly with her bloody urges.

-Dracula done right. "I have crossed oceans of time" He Would Not Fucking Say That. Jonathan was his summer fling, Dracula left him home to turn once he was done with him, Lucy was his next obsession, Also left her to turn once he was done with her, Mina was his next target out of sheer anger towards her for constantly thwarting him, left her to turn and to turn the men... he is not Orlok, he literally fucked around until he found out.

OKAY SO BASICALLY.

They had Riley doing his thing with the vampire girls, but... Them being vampires didn't actually add anything to the narrative? It was just a metaphor for infidelity that could have been done without making them vampires. Sure, it's dangerous, but nothing came of that danger.

But what if it did? What if one of them got too attached and Riley got turned?

Suddenly we see Buffy facing the choice of whether or not to kill someone she loves (who we've known for more than once episode), an opportunity that I feel canon WASTED by not having happen. There are also two paths to go down there. Either Riley goes full evil, becomes a villain (and more fleshed out character), and we get that conflict...

Or he doesn't. He's a soulless demon, but he still loves Buffy or values his old morals, given just how driven in they were, and doesn't want to run around killing and torturing people. Personally, I find the latter (or somewhere in between) to be more interesting. Buffy's normal life boyfriend is now yet another demon and he walked right into it on his own volition. But he also still loves her. Maybe he's even /better/ to her now, because he doesn't have a leg to stand on being bothered about her being the slayer now. Does being a demon mean that he's inherently not deserving of love the way he was as a human, even if he's not hurting anyone and is some ways behaving better than he was before, even if it's not out of the same human-style emotions and empathy? And even if she doesn't want to be with him anymore, does he deserve to die or spend the rest of his existence tormented by a soul curse? Because what Angel got was a /curse/, which I feel like a lot of stories forget in favor of making it an easy solution.

I just think it would have been a more interesting way to break them up /or/ revive their relationship in a way that could have gotten people invested in it.

I think literally my only issues with this as a possible Riley plotline are the usual issues related to Riley which all just stem from the writers kinda equating "normal" with "boring" and the season 4/Initiative plotline suffering from Walsh's actor wanting to leave early so it's less any issue with this idea and more pre-existing stuff.

Riley is absolutely one of those characters I see potential in that just wasn't utilized to their fullest/productively like Tara, Xander or Anya but tragically I never really have the same level of interest in trying to fix him because like... he's so boring lskdgjhsklgsd they did him so dirty by having a bunch of nerds of varying pettiness from likely the coasts write a handsome military jock from the Midwest. Like I'm from Pennsylvania and I can tell they did the most blah job of writing a Midwestern guy imaginable lol.

This is an objectively fascinating storyline and especially one for someone like Riley who'd been very anti-demon/iffy about that whole end of things. But when I try to extrapolate out what he'd look like a la vampire Willow and Xander I get either "still deeply boring" or "so unhinged about Buffy it makes Spike look normal". So I think for me at least I gotta work on a more fun version of Riley (at least for me, a guy who thinks vengeance demon Anya is a silly lil guy and loves that shit) than is currently extant and then I can better visualize how to put him in situations. Because man, this is a COMPELLING situation to put him in.

I do think it's really funny tho if they still break up and it's not even because he's a creature of the night now, it's still because he's somehow tragically mid or cringe lol.

Anyways all of this is to say please imagine Eiden helping Yakumo get ready and that involves putting those old timey curlers in Yakumo's hair before he went to bed so he can have curls the next morning

Ya see, Mac Coyle was supposed to die at 16.

The cancer had rendered her nearly immobile, done such a massive fucking number on her brain that she could hardly count to ten anymore. Half the time, her veins were pumping painkillers instead of blood through her body. She’d been made a husk of the fiery, fierce girl she’d so bravely decided to be for the past five years.

A week later, when KJ went in to check up on her, she was gone. Her heart had plummeted in that instant, any semblance of warmth in her body disintegrated by the painfully unsudden shock of Max finally being gone — and it had all been undone, replaced, moments later when the nurse told her she’d been sent him after a literally miraculous recovery.

Mac had kept quiet about the whole affair when she met her for milkshakes the next afternoon. Completely barring KJ’s hurt that her supposed best friend — the girl she’d spent the last three years pining after all while knowing more and more that she could never have — couldn’t even phone her up to tell her she’d been released, Mac seemed distracted. Distant. Unfocused. KJ had to remind her to even drink her shake every now and then, as opposed to every other time when she’d have to playfully reprimand her for stealing sips when she’d though KJ wasn’t looking.

“I wish I could tell you,” Mac had said as if her seemingly magical recovery wasn’t beyond all reason, “but I’m back now. I’m better. Cancer’s gone.”

“And you never said anything because…?”

KJ’s question had gone unanswered all night. Mac deflected her inquiries, or got notably short with the prodding, and managed to entirely silence KJ into confused and bitter acceptance that her best friend was alive, and she was never going to know why.

The silent they’d stewed in lasted until sundown, and it had done its work grinding KJ’s patience down to dust. Mac hadn’t even half finished her shake by the time KJ stood up and, with a betrayed scowl damming any scathing, choice words, strode back to her car—

And that was when it attacked.

It, because KJ had absolutely no clue what to call that thing, other than definitively not human. Some part of her mind, quiet and distant, seemed to want to ping in recognition of it, but a second glance at the twisted mockery of a young woman with burning yellow eyes tamped down on that thought in an instant. Whatever she was facing, she’d never seen anything like it, and as it approached with bared fangs and a bestial snarl, she feared it might actually be the last thing she saw.

Instead, what she saw was the woman go stiff, accompanied by the sound of flesh being pierced and bone being split; a second later, and she was gone, blown into the evening wind as dust, revealing in her place Mac.

KJ panted in panic, in shock, in disbelief, as Mac flipped a pointed wooden stick in her palm before hastily shoving it into her jacket pocket. “You alright, Kaje?”

“What was that?” KJ asked, her voice wobbling, before her wide stare trained back to Mac. “What are you?”

Mac shrugged. “Cats out of the bag, I guess. I’m the fucking Slayer.”

"Vampire" Interpretation

Or Blood Blobs as these creatures were the ones that started the legend in the first place. They are blood spirits that pop up every thousands of years.

Considering their size, they are quite small for something that drinks lots of blood. They do grow in size, but as they leave trails of blood, their shrunk back to a small size until they find their next catch-able victim.

They may look harmless, but they are quite hostile and will attack provoked or not. It's all to fill their one desire: to feed.

They can extend "arms" to create "hands," which are magically hardened into pitchfork-shaped fingers on each side. These fingers pierce holes into unsuspecting victim's necks, and the victim's blood is pumped into the blob. Once finished, the legend of vampires begins.

Since they are spirits, they look like sheet ghosts, which sometimes have eyes and mouths. They can see and make strange gurgling noises. They can also hear and feel some sort of pain if harmed a specific way. Water and sunlight are their greatest enemies. They also have a strange glow to them that indicates that there is something possessing the blobs themselves, and that's why they seem alive.

As for the blood itself, there are all sorts of DNA, including unknown ones. They range from humans to animals to ones unrecognizable. All of this DNA is why these things are also considered as aliens.

Nobody knows where they come from. All they know is that they just randomly materialize, and they hunt those who are unlucky enough to get caught by one and become vampires.

Review: This film has a star studded cast all doing great work. You'll likely recognize many of these actors in addition to legends Christopher Lee and Peter Cushing. This is a fun collection of stories being told from the fortune teller Dr. Terror on a Train. Brilliantly done with a great twist ending. This movie has a a little something for everyone. Overall I give Dr. Terror's House of Horrors (date): Must Watch! 💀

Bloodstone Feeder

For those spirits which feed on sanguine energies this is a relatively simple device for keeping them satiated. It consists of just two pieces, a bloodstone orb and a shaped copper holder. In Hermetic magic copper is connected to bloodshed which allows it when enchanted to gather the energy from blood spilled in accidents. I made my personal copper holder by pouring smelted copper over a walnut shell and allowing it to harden.

Since I am particularly prone to cutting myself with knives when carving various substances (including bones) I came up with the idea for this device to make sure the energy from my blood was not wasted. However by adding the device to a wooden board along with soil samples in small jars you can make this device harvest sanguine energy from more distant places.

The Bloodstone Feeder will utilize the sanguine energies of not only humans but animals as well which makes it function exceptionally well when a butcher shop is in close proximity. The Feeder when not in use will store the sanguine energies permanently until used up.
