So, I'm playing the sims 4.

My sim is a vampire, and also a dad.

And I realized...

Vampires would be AWESOME parents- as long as their, y'know, accepting and loving. Good parent qualities.

They don't need to sleep, or eat (other than drinking blood ofc, and most vampires can eat human food when they want to)

So when they have children who are rambunctious and babies who don't sleep, sure being burnt out is a thing that could happen, but they wouldn't really run out of energy to care for and love their kids.

Plus most vampires are , rich. And can provide for their children's needs.

So, uh, overall, yeah. I think vampires would be really good parents.

The vampire father loved his adoptive child. They were always so full of life. He found happiness in the curiosity, empathy, and creativity they possessed. He traveled on his own, his immortal family long ago going their separate ways. His adoptive child Ashton stood on the tallest tree they could find looking far out taking in the beautiful view it had to offer. The two met each other when the witch was barely eleven years old. They recently left a coven behind in hopes to live a life full of love, family, and adventure.

Seven years passed, they were seventeen years old with hopes of a wonderful future to come. "I wish to be buried in the most beautiful place!" Ashton declared causing their immortal parent a pang of pain in his chest at the mere thought of losing them. "I hope your death is painless after a long fulfilling life." He stated not wishing to ever go through the pain their death would bring. "Of course, I will be all old and withered away. People might think I am your mother!“ they laughed at the thought knowing their vampire father was much older though he didn't quite look it. "Perhaps, one day." He laughed, humoring his child.

A year passed, Ashton was married by eighteen. They had a small wedding, their adoptive father and friends supported them though no blood family of theirs remained. A beautiful white dress was worn, a pearl necklace and earrings and beautifully done makeup on Ashton's face. Their bright red hair down, long length reaching their tailbone. The vampire father carefully walked his child to the groom. The biggest smile across their lips as they held their partners hands exchanging vows and rings. Leaning in kissing, finalizing the marriage clapping and cheering ringing out around them.

It was a petty matter, a coven of witches insisted Ashton could join them and help aid their power or perish. They gave up practicing magic wanting to live a normal human life. "I will not join your coven!" They screamed at the demanding witches. Suddenly a knife was to their throat, it sliced so fast without a second thought. They tried holding their hands onto their neck to stop the bleeding but couldn't. Their vampire father immediately began to help trying to stop his child from bleeding to death.

Blood gushed everywhere, soaking the once pure white dress. Unable to speak properly Ashton's words came out choked up as they became unable to breathe their own blood choking them. "It's okay I can make you a vampire-“ their father said crying as he helplessly watched his kid dying. Ashton's bloody hands moved away from their neck as their dark blue eyes looked into their father's green one's crying afraid to die. Suddenly it would stop, Ashton's body would suddenly go still eyes left open looking into their father's eyes dead.

Friends, their lover, and the vampire father who adopted them mourned the loss of Ashton. The vampire was angry, he killed every single witch involved with the coven responsible but it didn't ease the grief a loss of a child brought him. He finally returned home to the place he raised his child, the place that held so many memories. And only thought of them. It was dusk, footsteps rushed down the steps and suddenly there they were.

As beautiful as their wedding day, pure white dress, makeup done nicely, pearl jewelry. Dark blue eyes locked into her father, her ghost trapped in the house. The vampire rushed forward desperate to hug his child only to go right through. "Dad…I'm scared" Ashton whispered suddenly it was just like their death blood all over the dress neck sliced deeply unable to breathe or speak properly and they glitched out, gone from sight. They continued to reappear sometimes they could communicate and then it was like their death all over.

The vampire knew the home kept his child trapped and though he missed Ashton he intended to end their suffering. Gasoline poured all around their shared home a match in hand when they appeared again. "Goodbye Father," Ashton muttered, eyes closing the flames eating the house whole as soon as the lit match came close. Everything was burned down and their soul was free leaving the vampire father completely and utterly alone forever. And his forever was truly forever.

listen I know it's heartbreaking that Claudia dies and it's understandable to wish she didn't, but let's please not accuse the writers of fridging her. to do so is a fundamental misunderstanding of the story and is frankly insulting to the intelligence and skill of the writers of the show.

Claudia's death, and the overwhelming grief and regret her parents experience because of it, is quite literally the point of the entire story. she dies because Anne's daughter Michele died of leukemia when she was five years old and there was nothing she or her husband could do to prevent it.

writing IWTV was how Anne coped with the unimaginable loss of a parent losing her child. she created a story about a little girl that could not die and then killed her anyway. Claudia's death is a senseless, unavoidable tragedy, just like Michele's was. the grief that haunts Louis and Lestat for the rest of their lives is the same grief that haunted Anne and her husband.

so when you're accusing people of killing Claudia off to benefit a story about two men, please remember that in real life sometimes parents lose their children. please remember Michele Rice.

she's the reason Claudia exists.

she's also the reason Claudia cannot be saved.

Vampire Misunderstanding

So! Danny got adopted by Bruce Wayne, but he doesn't know that Bruce is the Batman. He is just supernaturally oblivious to all things Batman related going on in the House.

But he does notice that Bruce leaves home a lot at night, that he doesn't like to go out in the day and often has his parties at night, and once or twice he's caught Bruce with a bit if blood still splattered on his cheek.

So he comes to the only plausible conclusion. Bruce is a Vampire.

He starts trying to hint at the fact that he knows, but doesn't want to just go out and say it. What if Bruce reacts negatively to him knowing? He's dealt with enough Supernatural Beings to know that they don't like other people (and especially other supernatural beings) intruding on their lives.

So Danny decided to subtly hint at it.

He started asking questions like "So hypothetically, how would you deal with having a Garlic Allergy in Gotham?" Or "So if you had very sensitive skin that could sunburn extremely easily, how much cloud cover would you need to go outside?" And "So what's your opinion on a High-Iron Diet?"

Basically just tossing out questions and trying to Guage Bruce's reaction.

He thinks he's doing a good job!

Bruce is certain that he has adopted a Vampire.

Danny is a good kid, but he has a few oddities that are hard to ignore.

For one, his skin is constantly Ice Cold, but he never seens to be bothered by it. As if he was an Undead that didn't require Body Heat anymore.

He also seems to like Hanging out in the Graveyard outside, and when asked about it he says that he is comforted by the place. Just like the Vampires he has met in the past, who feel comfortable when surrounded by Death.

And of course the biggest reason for suspicion is the fact that Danny seems to be hinting at it to him.

He keeps asking stuff like "How would you deal with a Garlic Allergy in Gotham?", probably trying to hint that he is a Vampire who can't eat Garlic, or asking about easy to sunburn skin, saying that he is probably not a Daywalker.

Bruce hopes Danny will just come clean about it soon, he doesn't want to intrude upon the kid when he is so obviously nervous about how he will react.

overall i really liked the first episode of delico's nursery but. but. as someone who knows nothing. about the theatre plays. i couldnt quite take the plot seriously when. the god of vampires/first vampire ever. has the most unfortunate abriviation of our time.

resulting in lines such as:

S3 Daniel is basically going to be loustat's infant baby. Anytime loustat get alone time, the baby starts screaming in Louis's head for attention & Lestat starts crying alone in the coffin as Louis leaves him to tend to the kid. He's going to drag Armand back by the ears to get his alone time with Louis.

Horrific psychological abuse and lynching plot aside, Armand was just not a nice partner to Louis. Always interrupting him, extremely dismissive of Louis’s concerns, super mean about his photography to the point where Louis became extremely insecure about in the span of 2 episodes, super insistent on a serious relationship when that's not what Louis wanted or something that was even feasible for the two of them since Armand slept on the floor with 16 racist roommates who hated Louis bad, mean as hell to his daughter, always made things about himself, stopped Louis from going to Rogets and gwtting his husbands money but had no money of his own, made shitty plays and made louis go see them, like the list is endless.
