Imagine Damon Salvatore drinking your blood during sex 🫣
I hope he's not ooc!
Tumblr media
(blood drinking (both Damon and reader), blood kink ig?, vampirism, gn!reader, readers a human, unprotected sex, I think this is it!)
"Holy fuck.. the things you do to me," he sighs, his voice wavering as your walls squeeze around him. He groans something about how tight you are, but you're too lost in the pleasure to understand him. All that comes out of your mouth is moans and whines. He takes one of his hands off your thigh and wraps his fingers around your neck, and he squeezes. The feeling has your eyes rolling back. His finger traces your pulse point, and he leans down to kiss it. The tips of his fangs brush against your soft skin. He kisses the spot just under your pulse and bites down. The feeling of being fucked stupid, and him drinking your blood is all too much and you aren't able to get a word about before your orgasm hits you. He takes a few more nice drinks of you before he pulls off your neck. His pace never faltered once, through the whole ordeal. When he's looking down at you, his eyes follow the drops of blood that drip down onto the bed beneath you both. He leans down once more to lick it and get one more taste of you.
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰
His hips quickly snap into yours with inhuman speed. You know what he is, but it still shocks you just how fast he is. Each thrust the tip of his cock brushes against that one spot inside you that you've never been able to get with your fingers. He leans down to kiss you, a deep growl vibrates in his chest when his lips touch yours. He lifts your thighs up to wrap them around his hips, letting him get deeper than before.
"Hah... Damon, nghh," you whine and your muscles twitch, you're sensitive, and he just keeps on pounding you. "Shh... I know, I'm right here," he breathes and kisses you once more, his hips moving a big slower now, and he bites his wrist and presses it against your lips, and you quickly drink. He groans, and you can feel him twitch inside of you. It's not long before his orgasm hits him, emptying himself inside of you.
He pulls out of you, and you whimper. He lays beside you and gently strokes your face, pulling you close to kiss you. You can taste the metallic tang of your blood on his tongue, and it's the best thing you ever tasted, and from the growl he lets out into your mouth, you know he can taste his own blood on you. He litters kisses down your jaw and neck, and he kisses your pulse point once more before moving away. "You did so good for me. Now come on, let's get cleaned up, and maybe if I'm feeling nice, we'll have some shower sex," he smirks and kisses you again, effortlessly lifting you up into his arms and into the bathroom.

“Oh look how gorgeous it is Damon” I whispered as he opened my car door. “Well how can I do that when I’m looking at how gorgeous you are” he whispered, pulling me to his body. “Stop it” I giggled pushing him away. “What? were at a wedding, it symbolises love” he smirked putting his arm out for me to take to walk into the building.
I raised my hand to my mouth and giggled, watching him as if I was a little child again. His eyes glistened in the lights put up for the special day. “So you love me now?” I raised an eyebrow, deep down hoping so very much that he’d say yes. Instead his face dropped with his arm.
“What?” Damon jerked his head backwards scrunching up his eyebrows, this confused expression spread quickly across his face. “You said it symbolises love” I repeated for him, a bit upset at his reaction. I swallowed standing up straight and tucked my hair behind my ear. “It doesn’t matter” I shrugged putting on a fake smile.
While my heart ripped. We’d been together for two months now and I was ready to tell him I loved him. But I needed him to say it first incase he didn’t feel the same way. I suppose I fell for him long before we got together and maybe that’s why I fell in love so quickly. Or maybe it was the fact he was so loveable. But from that reaction I thought it best to keep it a secret for now.
Damon still hadn’t moved. “Come on, we don’t have long until it starts” I nodded to the building with my head and with my right hand I stanched up his left. Making him walk to the doors with me. There was still a few people filtering in and finding their seats, but the majority of people had sat down by now.
“Y/n, over here” Caroline frantically waved at us. I smiled and made my way over there, pulling Damon with me. “Oh you look stunning” I grinned at her as she hugged me. “As do you obviously” “I don’t know what too you so long though” she whispered being nasty. “Oh we were just talking- got distracted” I patted his hand which was in mine.
The music quickly began after I finished my sentence and Alaric came out on stage. “Good luck” I kissed Damon on the cheek. “Thanks gorgeous” as I turned around Elena walked in with the brightest smile I’d seen from her in a long time. We waved at each other as we passed and I went to find my seat next to Bonnie in the crowd.
Damon and Elena soon came down the aisle to meet Alaric on the stage. He breathed out nervously, playing with his fingers behind his back. As Damon came up the two steps him and Alaric started whispering and smiling about something together. My heart beat against my chest. I loved watching my boyfriend in his natural element. Just him doing nothing still makes me smile.
Everyone’s heads swivel round as the doors open up for Jo to walk down with her father. “Oh she looks amazing” Bonnie whispered to me as we saw her striding down the aisle confidently and excitedly. “Oh she really does” I nodded, feeling my eyes fill up. We all watched as her father put Jo’s hand in Alaric’s.
They both gave the other a loving smile and I saw Alaric’s lips mouth “wow” at his soon to be wife. They held each other’s hands and the pastor began to talk while the audience took a seat. We all watched in awe as the couple looked and spoke to each other. “Now I believe you both have prepared your vows” she looked to Alaric suggesting he went first. “Of course” he nodded without removing eye contact with jo.
“Jo, we spent our lives dodging fate but because we did, I got to meet you. Thee most beautiful, hilarious, intimidatingly brilliant woman I have ever known. You inspire me. You showed me that happiness is actually something I could have in my life. And so, I promise to be with you. And love you. And to dodge fate with you. For the rest of our lives.”
I noticed Damon’s eyes flick across to me a few times throughout the speech. We exchanged smiles which made me picture us up there one day. Hopefully. “Jo?” The lady smiled at her. She’d been so mesmerised at Alaric’s speech she didn’t even realise it was her go. “Oh god- that’s a tough act to follow” she giggled wiping her eyes and making the whole crowd laugh. “Here goes” she beamed squeezing his hands excitedly. “Alaric saltzman- you are…”
Jo’s face dropped. She winced in pain as her body jolted. “Jo?” Alaric blinked as she fell towards him. The family and friends all gasps as she now faced us. Her white dress stained a dark red colour. “Jo?” Alaric shouted as they fell to the floor over her screams. In front of the whole audience on the stage where Jo had previously been standing, Kai appeared. Holding a knife dripping with his sister’s blood. Everyone’s mouths hung open.
Our hearts dropped at the sight of him. “Well wasn’t that sweet” Kai grinned at what he had done. He loved the attention we were giving him. “Kai” I heard Damon growl, with his head he looked him up and down. “Nice to see you again Damon” Kai smirked. My boyfriend snarled at him and made a run for it. “Damon no!” I yelled jumping up. Kai flicked both his wrists and me and Damon both flew backwards as far as the walls would let us.
Now Damon being a vampire could have shrugged it off. Me being a human resulted in everything going fuzzy and not being able to move a muscle in my body. I felt the magic of Kai once again as the screams from everyone filled the room. They held their heads before all the windows caved in shooting glass from every direction into the skin of the guests. And with that my vision left and all I saw was black.
Damon’s pov
My first priority was to find y/n once I could hear my own thoughts again. But there was so many people. So many bodies on the floor. So much blood. I scanned the room, scanned the people on the floor. Until I finally found where she had ended up. My heart broke into thousands of pieces. And if i didn’t have a job to do then i would have broken down to my knees.
Her limbs were out of place from the force she had hit the wall. Her legs and one of her arms was definitely broken. There was loads of glass stuck in her skin and her face was stained with blood and tears. She lied on her side with her head on her arm, her gorgeous face so damaged. Please don’t be dead. I had hesitated but in the next second I was next to her holding her to my chest. She had a heartbeat, she was alive but barely. It was faint.
I bit into my wrist and let the blood trickle down my wrist. My heart pounding against my chest as I put it to her lips. But she couldn’t drink it. She was completely out cold. Carolin and Stefan vamp ran towards us. “Is she…” Caroline began. “No” I cut her off shaking my head, a million thoughts going through it. “She can’t drink my blood” I looked up with tears in my eyes at my brother. He nodded putting aside his fear. “Get her to the hospital” Stefan nodded once.
“It’ll be okay brother” he stated before I lifted her up in my arms. “Okay” I whispered before vamp running off quicker than I ever have done before. We got to the hospital and I’d compelled three doctors and a nurse to see to her instantly. I was outside pacing for hours, but it felt like days. Up down up down up down. “Damon” Bonnie called out. I looked up to see Stefan, Elena, Caroline and Bonnie all at the end of the corridor. The worry on their faces felt like I was looking into a mirror.
“Have you heard anything?” Elena hissed getting closer. “Nothing” I answered shaking my head. “How longs she been in there” “three hours- and a bit” I replied after looking up at the clock. “She’ll be okay, she’s a fighter” Stefan told the group. “She’s human Stefan” Caroline teared up. Everyone’s phones dinged at the same time. We all rushed to grab them. The message was from Alaric. “Jo’s here- in critical condition” Elena read out.
She looked to Stefan and he swallowed. “Well go find Alaric” he nodded putting a hand on her back. “No- you should stay here with your brother” she shook her head and whispered what she had to say. “We’re staying with Damon and y/n” Bonnie put a hand on my back and rubbed it gently. “Yeah- go find Rick I don’t want him on his own” I agreed nodding my head, but I felt my heart sink knowing how many people I cared about had been hurt.
The door to y/ns room opened and the doctor came out with a very neutral expression. We all looked up apart from Stefan and Elena who hadn’t seen him come out, they were half way down the hall way now. “Damon?” He looked to me. I tilted my head getting ready for the news. “You’ll be pleased to know that y/n is alive and stable, we had to operate on her body in multiple areas due to the broken- spine, leg, ankle, wrist, elbow and shoulder” he explained.
But I still felt sad. Sad about the pain she was going through, i definitely felt relief but it was over come by the sadness. “So what I’m trying to say is she’s alive- but we don’t know if she’ll ever be the same again- if she even wakes up” he stated. I had no response. But luckily I had two best friends here to support me. “Can we see her?” Caroline begged with her big, sad eyes. “Of course, right this way”.
Two weeks later- y/n’s pov
Bright, white, hospital lights wasn’t unfamiliar for me to wake up to. I blinked them in slowly before moving my head around. Damon was in the corner of the room sleeping on the chair. I looked at my body to see the damage done. I wasn’t surprised to see myself completely casted up with all sorts of wires, tubes and stickers across my body. I wouldn’t be able to move so I tried to shout for my boyfriend but my voice was hardly coming out. It was so strained. So I looked to my right to see what I could throw at him.
Someone had left me a get well soon teddy which I grabbed with my right arm, which seemed to be the only part of my body which wasn’t harmed. I launched it at Damon and it hit his head. I let out a raspy giggle as he woke up baffled at what had happened. “That was quite a good shot” I softly spoke, but he was still in shock. I think the shock had moved from being hit in the head with a bear to how was I awake. “Y/n” he ran across the room to the side of my bed.
His hand touching my face. I held it with my working hand. “Hey gorgeous” I croaked with my dry mouth. “They weren’t sure you’d wake up, I weren’t sure you’d wake up” he whispered grasping my hand as a tear fell out his eye. “Damon, come on- I was always coming back to you” I whispered smiling before all the happiness drained from my eyes. “Damon- how long has it been since the wedding” “…two weeks” he told me. And now for the big question.
“Jo?” I swallowed feeling the tears floating in my eyes. “She made it y/n” he nodded stroking my knuckles. “Her and the babies they pushed through” he laughed while a tear rolled down his face. “So everyone’s okay” i cried out with a wide smile on my face. “Everyone’s okay- apart from you” he swallowed looking me up and down. “I’m alive” I shook my head reaching for his face. “Barely” he breathed out. “Damon I’m okay- thank you for getting me here so quickly”.
“You’re going to drink now, so I can get you out of here”. I nodded watching him bring his wrist up to his face. I watched the blood drip down onto the bed sheet and he lifted my head and he put his wrist to my lips. As soon as I swallowed the first drop I felt life come back to me. I felt it flow through veins. And most of all, I felt my bones snap back into place and heal. I gasped out when pulling away and sat up. Blood was trickling down my chin.
Damon wiped it away and took a seat on the bed. “You’re Okay” he whispered holding my face. I nodded, slightly disoriented. “Y/n” Damon turned my face towards his by my chin. “Y/n I was so scared you wouldn’t come back to me and I felt so guilty because i haven’t told you the truth” “told me the truth? About what?” I asked frowning hard at him. God what had he done. “I kept avoiding telling you because I was so scared but I thought I was never going to get the chance and that was scarier” he explained.
“Tell me Damon” I squeaked out, becoming really scared of what he had to say. “I love you and I want you forever, I do want to marry you some day”. My heart knocked on my chest to remind me I had to answer him. But i couldn’t help my big smile and exhale of relief. “Damon I love you too” I smiled finally being able to hear those words come out of his mouth. “It’s always been you since I met you- but It’s nice to finally hear those words” I giggled behind my hand.
“I should have said them a lot sooner but I’ve never felt like this- and it scares me- I’ve never only wanted one person in my life but now I’ve met you- it’s you or no one for me”. I nodded my head in complete agreement with him. I wrapped my arms around his neck pulling him in. “You’ve got nothing to worry about, I’m not leaving, you don’t have to be scared” I whispered in his ear reaching up his neck for his hair.
“You’re so perfect y/n, I’m so glad you’re okay” he rested his head on my forehead, he watched me smile before leaning in to kiss me. Gently. Finally.

Mikaelson’s Party Pt.2
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Finally finished part 2. Sorry it took so long, I’m crossing my fingers that the third and last part will be done much quicker. I hope you enjoy the continuation of Human!Klaus and his Omega)
Part 1
Tumblr media
By the time the couple woke up again it was nearly noon and he was shocked, never sleeping that long but it seemed that having his Omega was comforting in every way, even enough to get some extra sleep. As Y/n rolled over and looked at her phone she suddenly sat up, startled by something and Klaus could feel it in his chest.
‘What’s the matter?’
‘It’s the afternoon! I didn’t think we would sleep that long! I need to go home, if I don’t take my suppressants every day at the same time the cycle gets fucked up. My scent will come back immediately! I have to go, I’m sorry-‘
‘Wait!’ He took her arm, stopping her from standing up.
‘Klaus! I’m late, I-‘
‘Don’t take it!’ He exclaimed and instantly felt bad about how it sounded a bit too much like an order. ‘I mean, I’m here now and…if I mark you, your scent will be mixed with mine. You won’t have to worry anymore-‘
‘But I’ll go into heat quickly, probably no more than 2 days.’ He considered this for a moment before smiling.
‘We can move into that house I told you about…we don’t have to take everything but it’s in perfect condition and I make sure someone keeps it clean, we can go now. We’ll have everything we need and complete privacy. I won’t let anyone harm you, I promise, you have nothing to worry about, your Alpha is gonna take care of you.’ He was nervous for a moment before he was suddenly overwhelmed with her excitement before she leapt into his arms and wrapped around him tightly.
‘I can make us a nest, a real one and a home, I’ll make it perfect! I promise, you’ll love it, it’ll be-‘
‘I believe you. I’ll buy you all the nesting materials you want. We can pack our things today and I’ll take you to go see it, we’ll make sure we have everything we need before your heat starts.’ Y/n kissed him softly and he could feel how much this all meant to her before he felt her hesitation again. ‘What is it?’
‘I…what are we gonna do, we’re both in school. I don’t know about you but I’m flat broke, my parents made me spend my money on getting a degree I never wanted because “Omegas don’t stay home anymore Y/F/n”.’ She imitated her parents in a sassy, teasing voice and he smiled.
‘The house is paid off, so is the car, and my father left me everything. Honestly I could probably live on it forever, but we’re definitely fine until I graduate…you can stay home if you want?’ He offered, hoping he wasn’t offending her. ‘I just mean if you don’t want to continue college, I want to take care of you, my love. If you want to get a job that’s fine, if you want to stay home and cook and clean, it’s all your choice. If you want to be a stay at home mom and have 2 or 5 or 17 little pups running around, your choice.’ She looked stunned as tears rose to her eyes.
‘You’re letting me choose? All that money for school and you don’t care if I just quit?’
‘Do you like it? Do you want to have a job that you go to everyday? Omegas can do whatever they want now a days but you don’t have to, I’ll take care of you if-‘ She cut him off as she jumped to press her lips to his roughly. ‘Well, I suppose we’ll have to withdrawal you from school then.’ He joked and she grinned, his hands holding her waist as he nuzzled into her neck, tempted to dig his fangs into her scent gland but resisting until she was ready, no matter how much strength it took. ‘You just relax love, I’ll get you some clothes while I pack.’
Klaus allowed her to rest in his bed, kissing her neck once more before jumping up and moving to grab his suit case and duffel bag from the closet, packing everything he owned that he would need.
He couldn’t believe what he was doing. He knew his father had left him everything for this exact purpose but when he read the will, he never in a million years believed it would happen. His family laughed at him for wanting his own Omega, not just Mikael but his siblings too, and now here he is taking care of his Omega. He would be the best Alpha that ever existed, he would make sure of it, but first he needed to get her somewhere safe before her heat starts and that means protecting her until they get there.
He packed his bags as quickly as he could, knowing much of his stuff was already there since that’s where he goes on weekends to be alone after school, only coming home when he needs to. ‘Come on Princess, let’s get to your dorm and get your things.’ She had put on one of his shirts and tied a pair of pajama pants around her waist to make her smell like him, and it comforted her to know that no one in that school would touch her with an Alphas scent this strong unless they were suicidal.
He refused to let her help him carry his things other than a few of the canvas’ he still had here and he ignored his hung over siblings as they questioned him on the way out. Klaus piled up his bags and lifted his Omega into the truck he had inherited from his father (one that came in very handy for whenever he took place in an art show and needed to carefully transport his pieces) before driving towards the school. He found himself rushing there, giddy on the inside at the idea of taking his Omega home and making her happy. He knew she would love the bed, it was a soft, giant California King with a memory foam mattress and he had to admit, the Alpha in him had been shopping for his future Omega when he picked it, and though it had felt a bit stupid then, he was glad for it now.
Klaus lifted her back out of the truck and didn’t want to take his hands off of her, so he didn’t as he kept his arm around her shoulders and held her close. ‘You’ll have to stand outside the doorway, I bunk with another Omega and since we’re not fully mated I can’t let you into her room.’
‘I understand, I wouldn’t want to make her uncomfortable. As long as I can see you, it’s alright.’ Klaus wouldn’t want to make another Omega scared for no reason and having a strange Alpha in your room, near your nest, he’s sure it would be very jarring to her. She quickly unlocked her door and he leaned on the doorframe as she walked in. It was a large dorm room and he could see her room mate in her nest with her headphones on and he looked away quickly, not knowing how she would feel about her nest while he’s here.
‘I should just take everything, shouldn’t I?’ Y/n asked him and he nodded. ‘Okay. That’s easy…should I bring my nest or do you want to get new stuff?’ She was packing all of her clothes into a suitcase as she asked, along with her electronics to keep them from breaking.
‘If there’s some of it you don’t want to lose then yes, bring it. However I will get you whatever you want for our nest Princess, we can do that on the way home if you want so you won’t need to go out again?’ He offered and she grinned, clearly excited about that.
‘Are you going somewhere with him?’ Another voice suddenly spoke and Klaus realized it was her room mate.
‘I’m moving in with my Alpha, yes. Go back to your studying.’ Y/n rolled her eyes and he wondered why she didn’t seem to like her room mate as she moved both suitcases out to him before packing the rest of her things in a backpack.
‘You’re just leaving? What will your parents say?’ She questioned, condescendingly and he didn’t like it. He wanted to smack this girl for speaking to his Omega that way.
‘Nothing, because they don’t know and they won’t until I’m already mated and dropped out. Keep your nose out of my business.’ Y/n warned, clearly angered by this girl.
‘Your mother won’t be happy. Another Omega just giving herself over to an Alpha to control and use as he wants, and you’re just allowing it with no fight?’ Her roommate seemed to be one of those pretentious Omegas that believed if you weren’t actively trying to become a CEO with just as much power as an Alpha and keeping your womb empty that you were a waste of space as an Omega.
‘I don’t want to fight. I never wanted this, I’m perfectly happy where I am, thank you-‘
‘And you? You’re okay with just ruining her future? Using her as a house slave and a baby maker, something to fuck whenever you please with no regard for her-‘ Suddenly Y/n had her hand around her roommates throat and she was baring her fangs in her face.
‘Don’t you ever address my Alpha like that again, do you understand me?! He’s Mine! And if I want to be his Omega and make my Alpha happy then that’s my choice, if you don’t want that, it’s your choice! It shouldn’t matter what I want as long as it’s my choice to make, I never wanted to be like you. So you go ahead, call my parents and tattle on me, maybe you can be their new daughter, Lord knows they would have been proud to have you.’ She released the girl and Klaus sighed in relief. ‘If you so much as look at him again, I will claw your eyes out.’
Her roommate was terrified. She was a pompous asshole, but also an Omega that banked on no one being willing to physically assault an Omega. ‘Let’s go Princess, do you have everything?’
‘Yeah, we can go.’ She grabbed a comforter before exiting the room and allowing Klaus to grab all of her bags and escort her back to the truck where he packed everything. They made a quick stop at the admin office so that she could willingly drop out before Klaus was helping her back into the truck and beginning the 30 minute drive to his house…their house. ‘Damn!’ She cursed as her phone started to ring and Klaus held her hand as he continued driving.
‘What is it?’
‘My mother. Danielle would have called her, they get along great. My mom doesn’t think Omegas should give into their instincts to submit to an Alpha, she believes they should all go to school and get jobs and strive to show people that Omegas are more than human fuck dolls. She was always disgusted with the fact that I wanted to have a family with my Alpha and take care of our pups.’ Klaus listened carefully, hating how miserable his girl sounded.
‘I guess that’s a negative on her liking me then?’ Y/n snorted and he felt happy that he could make her laugh right now. ‘Are you going to answer?’ He asked but she shook her head as the phone stopped. ‘Okay, it’s your choice Princess. The house is a 10 minute drive up the mountains, so we should stop here and get the nesting supplies you want. It’s a great store for that, I got all the bedding from here and I know you’re going to love the bed.’
‘I can fix it, right?’
‘Of course. It’s all yours, take everything off and start fresh, we’ll get new sheets if you’d like. Anything you want, it’s yours. Well stop at that grocery store quickly after so that I can get some stuff to make dinner. We can do an online order after that and have it delivered so we can be quick.’ He parked outside the store and Y/n waited until he came around to help her out, seemingly knowing that’s what he wanted and it made Klaus smile as he set her on her feet.
‘What?’
‘Nothing. I just love you so much already…you’re perfect.’ Her cheeks tinted a dark pink and he pulled her close, nuzzling into her hair.
‘You are too, perfect Alpha. You’re everything I ever wanted and I love you. Gonna make you so happy Alpha, I promise.’ Her fingers tucked under his shirt and touched his warm skin, trailing up his back which he quickly pulled away from.
‘You already have baby, but you need to stop that or this parking lot is going to get a show.’ She giggled, taking his hand and pulling him to the store, starting in the pillow section. She ended up getting 8 of the softest pillows he’s ever felt, along with 2 body pillows and dark grey bamboo pillow cases. ‘Why not silk?’ He wondered, knowing most women would pick that.
‘Silk is great for your hair, helps it not get knotted when you’re asleep but it’s an awful feeling in heat, it doesn’t mix well with sweat when your overwhelmed and overstimulated. My mom always insisted on silk and it made my heats worse since she refused to let me choose my own bedding when I suffered through my first few heats. My mother is a control freak if you can’t tell, which is why I try very hard not to be…except about this. I need to control this.’ He could tell she was nervous about that explanation and he moved to hold her to him once again.
‘I will never argue over the nesting materials. I may ask questions, but the choice is yours. I know many Omegas have tactile issues with materials, I don’t, there is nothing for you to worry about. Alright?’ She nodded, kissing him quickly.
‘Thank you Nik. I really appreciate it.’ He went back to pushing the cart as she grabbed a set of matching sheets.
‘We should grab a few of those. I may be changing the sheets multiple times while you’re in heat, it’s better to have back ups.’ He grabbed 2 more and was quickly amused as he watched his Omega feeling all the blankets and choosing ones that were correct, making grossed out faces as she felt materials she hated. She had chosen 2 black oversized throw blankets that was a faux fur texture. He had to admit it felt like real fur with how soft it was and he knew those would be her favorites to snuggle up in, grabbing a third just to keep in the hall closet in case. He watched her pick 2 comforters and about 10 more blankets before declaring that she was finished, Klaus quickly adding a weighted blanket to the mix, hoping that it would make his Omega comfortable while he was in school if she ever needed it.
He didn’t allow her to see the total at checkout since he knew she would become anxious and he quickly packed everything into the trunk before escorting her into the grocery store. They grabbed a few things they could cook for meals as well as a bunch of drinks (Klaus insisting she get several kinds of juice she liked as well as water to stay hydrated during her heat) and more snacks than he thinks they could eat in a week. He is very wrong as he’s never seen an Omega during her heat…or after.
His Omega enjoyed the drive up into the mountains towards their house, happily watching the trees go by and clearly loving the tranquility. They had just finished bringing everything inside, Y/n becoming obsessed with the bed, when her phone rang again. She looked up at him as he was opening the sheets and blankets, getting them ready to get washed before they could build the nest.
‘It’s your choice Princess, but you’ll need to do it eventually just like I will. It’ll take longer for my family to notice though.’ He joked but she didn’t smile before answering the phone and putting it on speaker.
‘Hey mom.’ She greeted and she was instantly met with a shrill voice.
‘Don’t you “hey mom” me! Danielle called! She says you’ve found your Alpha, is that true?!’ The older women demanded.
‘Yes mom, it’s true. I’ve found him and he’s wonderful, I really like him-‘
‘You think I care about that?! Y/F/n, you will reject that man right now and get your ass back to school! You have a test to study for!’ Klaus’ eyes widened as he heard how her mother was talking to her, forcing her to reject her mate? That’s cruel, not to mention illegal, you can’t force anyone to reject a mate, let alone an Omega!
‘Mom, I’m not rejecting him. I’m moving in with him, we want to start a life together-‘
‘I will Not have it! I didn’t put all the effort and energy into raising you for you to become a weak, subservient Omega! Get your ass back to school or I will come and make you myself.’ Klaus could see the tears in her eyes and he moved to hold her to his chest as she was unable to hold it in anymore. ‘Oh, stop your crying! Those fake tears didn’t work when you were a child and they won’t work now-‘
‘Enough!’ Klaus shouted, not willing to listen anymore. ‘They’re not fake tears, they’re very real! An Omegas hormones are different than yours so don’t you dare pretend you understand how she feels, especially when her mother is belittling her as if she and her opinions mean nothing! You will Never speak to her like that again!’
Her mother didn’t respond right away, seemingly shocked that someone spoke up. ‘Y/n, how dare you allow him to speak to me that way, you will get away from that man right now-‘
‘No she won’t. She wants to be here, and I know that because I asked her! I made sure that being with me and moving in with me was what she wanted before I forced her into something that made her miserable, unlike you. If she didn’t want me I would have accepted that rejection but thank God I don’t need to.’ He muted the phone quickly and looked at Y/n who was sobbing into his shirt. ‘Do you want me to take care of this, if you don’t, tell me now.’ She nodded quickly into his chest.
‘Please? I can’t, Please Alpha?’ He nodded his head, kissing her hairline and allowing her to continue clinging to him.
‘I will call the police! Put out a missing persons report and-‘
‘You’re welcome to if you must, however I will just take her to the station and explain that her insane, controlling, batshit crazy mother is trying to force her to reject her Alpha because she wants to live vicariously through her Omega child. Y/n is an adult and you cannot control her anymore and as soon as the police find out she’s not missing and you know it, you’ll be charged for filing a false police report, and if you keep it up after that, then we will get a restraining order. You will never speak to my Omega like that again, I will not allow anyone to treat her like that. She is a Princess and she doesn’t deserve it! She has dropped out of school, school that she paid for herself and I will be paying off the loans so don’t you worry about that, you won’t be inconvenienced again. Y/n has moved in with me, stopped her suppressants and we are planning to start a family, if you and your husband want to be a part of that then I will await your apology to my girl, an apology she will receive if you want to ever meet your grand kids. Until then, don’t you ever call this number again.’ With that, Klaus quickly hung up and turned the phone off, holding his Omega to him tighter.
‘Thank you! I’m so sorry, I didn’t-‘
‘No apologies from anyone but her my love. You’ve done nothing wrong. She should never speak to you like that and I promise she never will again. You’re safe Baby.’ Her sniffles came to a stop as he kissed her before having her help him do the laundry to take her mind off of it. They washed all of the bedding they had gotten, unpacking their things in the bedroom and closet and making a list together of all of the things they would need to get, making them both feel like a real married couple already which they couldn’t help but laugh at.
His Omega settled into their nest as soon as everything was washed, fixing it so delicately that he couldn’t look away, it was fascinating to watch. Like an artist sculpting something unique out of clay and while Klaus had never seen another couples nest before, it’s considered rude, he knew that his Omegas was truly unique. He waited until she pulled him into it before snuggling up and napping with his girl, waking up just in time to make dinner and spend the evening on a movie marathon.
Klaus realized as they settled down for the evening in their nest that he wouldn’t be going anywhere for the next few days, able to smell the change in his Omegas scent already. It’s not often that an Omegas heat starts this quickly after meeting their Alpha but if nothing else, they had proved that their bond was quite strong. He sent a message to their school and informed them that he wouldn’t be there this week and he also sent one to Elijah to ensure none of his siblings came to the house to see him upon realizing he was gone as they had many times before. He knew Y/n would be needy and too desperate to care much about who was around and he couldn’t even imagine how possessive he would be while his Omega is in heat.
God forbid anyone visit while he’s tending to her, he can’t begin to imagine how badly that would end…

Pairing: Damon Salvatore x ofc
Damon and Lucy sat in Elijah’s living room while they waited for him to clean up. Finally, he emerged freshly showered in a new suit. “That is much better,” he said with a twist of his head. He sat in one of the chairs. “So the children killed the Martins. The slim advantage I still held against my brother is gone.”
“Still planning on killing him then?” Lucy asked. She’d been hoping he’d change his mind. Niklaus was the last living member of his blood family.
His dark eyes studied her for a moment. “Of course.”
She nodded. She didn’t like it, but she understood.
“And how exactly were you planning on doing that? You never really said,” Damon asked.
“I intend to remove his cold, dead heart from his chest,” the Original answered with a blank expression though Lucy caught the twitch of a muscle in jaw. “Without the witches I cannot guarantee he will remain incapacitated long enough for me to do so.”
“Bonnie?” Damon said with a glance to his girl.
Lucy curled her lip. “I don’t trust her.”
“She’d die to save Elena,” he corrected. “If she thinks that’s what she’s doing, we can trust her.”
“Elena will already be dead by the time Ms. Bennett is needed, her fate in the hands of a very old potion,” Elijah said.
Lucy sighed. “Maybe I can talk to Klaus. Get him to postpone so we can come up with a better plan.”
Damon rolled his eyes. “I don’t think so. I don’t want you anywhere near Klaus.”
“Well, it’s too late for that.”
There was a long stretch of silence as Damon stared at Lucy and she did her best to look at literally anything but him. “What is that supposed to mean?” he asked.
When there wasn’t an immediate answer, he tugged on her arm to make her look at him. “What does that mean, Lucy?”
When she still didn’t respond, Elijah took it upon himself to answer. “The only cure for a werewolf bite resides in my brother’s blood. In exchange for Lucy’s life, she had to promise three favors of his choosing. Though there are limitations.”
Damon’s head snapped to the side to glare at his girlfriend. “Were you ever going to tell me this?”
“We just did.” She couldn’t look at him. She’d lose him now. Damon didn’t like complications and this was the biggest fucking complication she could think of.
He stood and stared down at her, willing her to look at him. “How could you possibly think this was a good idea? The guy’s such an asshole his own brother wants to kill him and you’re selling yourself to him?”
Her gaze shifted up to him as she frowned and he flinched at the tears in her eyes. “Don’t make me sound like a whore, Damon. Would you rather I was dead? Because that was the alternative.”
He raked a hand through his hair. “Of course not.” He paced the floor before looking back at her. “I need a moment. I’m going to talk to Stefan.”
With that, he stormed out the door, slamming it behind him. Lucy stared after him as her heart broke and a single tear ran down her cheek.
Elijah stood and wiped the drop away with his thumb. He grasped her hand and pulled her to her feet. "Come, Lucy. We will call my brother and face the beast together.”
***
To say Lucy was surprised to find herself at Alaric's apartment was an understatement. She and Elijah were supposed to be meeting Klaus. What the hell was he doing here? She found it hard to believe that the teacher was working for the enemy all along.
Elijah knocked and the door was answered by a smiling Ric. "Brother, please come in," he said and took a step back.
Lucy tried to follow but got stopped at the door. Ric frowned. "I was under the impression the girl was human."
Elijah let no emotion show on his face. "She was until very recently."
"In that case," he said, turning back to her, "come in, love."
She stepped into the apartment. Her eyes darted around the room, taking everything in as she tried to figure out what exactly was going on. Katherine sat on a chair to the side of the room stabbing herself repeatedly in the leg. Lucy’s eyes widened in surprise. “Found Katherine. We can cross that off the list.”
“Yes. Katerina and I have been having a marvelous time. It was so kind of you all to keep hold of her for me.” Ric’s unusual tone and inflection made him sound nothing like his usual self.
Lucy looked at Elijah. “What is this?”
“Traveling spell,” her uncle answered. “One of my brother’s favorites. Don’t worry, he won’t stay in there long. He’s far too fond of his normal appearance to suffer so.”
Her lips twitched as she tried not to smile at the scary hybrid.
RicKlaus walked around her, taking her measure. “She’s very attractive.” He looked past her to Elijah. “Are you certain your relationship isn’t more…intimate?”
Lucy scrunched her nose in disgust at the idea and Elijah scowled. "She is my niece, Niklaus. Please show a little decorum."
"Is she though? I don't recall any of us having children." Klaus smirked.
"Her father attempted to save my life once. We became friends. I've known her since she was an infant. You know this. I explained it to you."
Klaus shrugged as if it didn't matter and stood in front of her. It was so weird to be looking at Ric but know it wasn't him. This was going to give her a headache. He leaned forward to look into her eyes. "You're just going to do everything I say, aren't you love?"
She blinked at him. "Nope. I'm going to do three things for you. No more. That was the deal."
He frowned and glanced at Elijah. "Vervain," the older brother explained. "I insisted she drink it before we came. She will continue to do so as long as you are in town. I don't trust you."
"You wound me, Elijah. I won't hurt your pet." He turned his attention back to Lucy. "So, tell me, love, what do you know about my doppelganger?"
She shifted her gaze from him to Katherine. "Which one?"
"I know all about Katerina, love. Tell me about the other one."
She briefly thought about asking if this counted as one of the favors but decided not to push her luck. "Elena Gilbert. She's a kid. 17 maybe?" Lucy shrugs. "I don't care enough to keep track. She's got a martyr complex. Thinks she's helping but she just makes everything worse. She also has a lot of people that are incredibly loyal to her. Ric being one of them. They aren't going to just hand her over."
"And if I told you to hand her over? What if I made that one of your tasks?" His gaze narrowed as he studied her.
She shrugged. “I don’t particularly care for Elena, but I’m not handing a kid over so you can kill her. I’d rather do it myself.”
That earned her a lopsided grin. "And if I told you it’s either you or her?”
Lucy and RicKlaus stared each other down as he waited for her answer. Despite Caroline saying she was done with Elena, Lucy knew the blonde would never forgive her if she handed over her former bestie. She didn’t want to hurt Care.
Finally, Elijah stepped forward, placing himself as well as he could between his brother and his niece. "I said within reason, Niklaus. And I believe I specified death and sex were not within reason."
The hybrid smirked. "Just testing her limits, brother. And yours. Task number one, you tell no one about me. Tell no one you've met me, or that I currently inhabit your friend here. Understood?"
"Understood."
Elijah wrapped a hand around her arm and led her from the apartment. They'd barely made it to the car when Lucy’s phone buzzed in her pocket. She pulled it out and sighed when she saw Stefan's name. He was undoubtedly calling to lecture her about keeping things from his brother. "If I don't get this, he'll just keep calling," she explained to Elijah before she answered. "Hello, Stefan."
"What are you doing, Lucy?"
"Like at this particular moment or in general?"
He laughed in spite of himself. "I meant the two of you waking Elijah, in particular," annoyance is heavy in his voice. He must have an audience.
She thought about what to say for a moment before answering not knowing if anyone else would be able to hear or not. "If I had Damon half-dead in my basement and you had the opportunity to rescue him would you leave him there?"
"Yes, because if he pissed you off that bad, he deserves it," he said with a chuckle. "But I see your point. They’re only trying to protect Elena."
"Incapacitating Elijah is not going to help them do that. You know that."
“Klaus is here. We're going to the dance tonight. You should come and chaperone with Damon. Show everyone you’re not the enemy."
A twinge of pain shot through her at the mention of her boyfriend's name. "I'm not sure Damon wants me to do that."
"What? Why not?"
Lucy sighed. "Haven’t you talked to him?”
"Not a peep. Should I be worried?” There was genuine concern in his voice.
"Nope. I’m sure he decided a drink was more important. We’ll see you at the dance." She slid her phone back into her pocket and looked over the top of the car to Elijah. "Can you drop me at the Grill?"
***
Lucy breathed a sigh of relief when she walked into the Grill and spotted Damon at the bar. She’d feared he’d run off and leave her there. She stepped up beside him. "Can I sit here or are you still mad at me?"
He motioned to the bartender for another drink. When he placed it in front of the empty stool, she took that as her cue to sit. She sipped at the amber liquid. "I thought you were going to talk to Stefan?"
He shrugged. "Cult Elena was still around so I decided not to." He still hadn't looked at her.
She stood from her seat. "I'll leave you alone. Stefan wants you to chaperone the dance tonight. He says Klaus is here. I’m sorry I didn’t tell you about everything sooner.”
He didn't respond and she swallowed the lump in her throat. "I'll see you later." Her voice was quiet, little more than a whisper. She left and wrapped her arms around her middle as she walked down the street and struggled not to cry. Maybe Elijah would let her crash on his couch. Staying at the boarding house seemed like more awkwardness than she wanted to deal with right now.
Damon's car pulled up along the curb in front of her. He leaned out the window and looked at her. "Get in."
She thought about it for a moment then decided she'd rather walk. Damon groaned when she passed by him.
The car door shut behind her and a hand grasped her waist. He turned her to face him. "Please get in the car, Lucy."
She wiped at her eyes. "I didn’t tell you because I didn’t want to lose you. I know this is a lot. That this is more hassle than I’m worth. So if you’re going to leave me just get it over with. I don’t have the strength to wonder.”
He cradled her face in his hands. "You're wrong. You are worth everything. I’m not going anywhere even if it means dealing with an Original hybrid. I’m just scared. Terrified that I’m going to lose you. I haven’t been afraid of losing anything for a long time, but you scare the shit out of me.”
She looked at him a beat longer, the tears flowing from her eyes now tears of happiness. “So I get to keep you?”
He grinned and kissed her lips. “Yeah, baby. I’m all yours.”

That is, until her junior year when two new mysterious men roll into town and shake everyone up, including her best friend Elena. What will Cori find out about these mysterious men and about herself? Mostly follows the storyline of tvd show but may take some creative liberties.
“She swore vengeance on all men with dark hearts.”
― Lisa Papademetriou, Siren's Storm
Series Masterlist
“Career fairs just make me sad,” Cori says to Elena as they walk through the school hallways, glancing at the various tables that were set up with prospective jobs the students could go with. Things had been relatively calm since Halloween, other than Elena informing her that she and Stefan were breaking up and he was moving away. Although, he was still making appearances in town like a lingering cold. Cori wasn’t necessarily happy that Elena and Stefan had broken up, she knew that he made her friend happy and she had grown to like him, but she was somewhat glad that she was able to spend more time with Elena.
“Sad?” Elena chuckles, “Why?
“There are just so many things that I could do, you know?” Cori groans, looping her arm through Elena’s as they walk, “But I only have one lifetime so there’s no way I can do it all, which just makes it incredibly hard for me to decide, and making decisions makes me sad, you know this.” She tugs on Elena’s arm.
“You could be an artist, like your dad.” Elena points to the table Hayden had set up down the hallway.
Cori laughs, “You’ve seen my painting skills…I may have gotten my nose from my dad but that man did not pass down his artistic abilities.”
Elena laughs with her friend and they stop at a table run by the local bakery, Elena picks up a brochure, “What about a lawyer?”
Cori looks at her friend, “Every argument I have I end up crying in the middle of it.”
“True.” Elena and her move on from the table and glance around the hallway. Elena notices Matt further down the hall and touches Cori’s arm, “I’m gonna go say hi to Matt, I’ll catch up with you.” Cori nods, watching curiously as Elena goes to approach the blond quarterback whose sister is still missing. While Elena and Matt were dating, Cori and him were civil with each other but had never really bonded. She always thought Matt was really nice and Elena a year ago would be perfect with him, but the Elena of the present day was not the same. It made sense for her to move on, even if it was hard for Matt to accept.
Cori notices their new history teacher, Mr. Saltzman, perusing the tables close to her and she approaches him. Her dad had known Alaric when they went to Duke together and had given Cori a heads-up when he was hired as the replacement for Mr. Tanner who had died the night of the first football game. She liked Mr. Saltzman, he was nice and seemed to be passionate about history.
“Hey, Mr. Saltzman,” she greets him, standing at his side at the table for the police station, “thinking of joining the force?” She jokes.
Alaric smiles at her, “Hi, Cordelia,” he laughs, “I don’t think they’d want me fighting crime, I’m a horrible shot.” He says, abandoning the brochure he had been looking at.
“That's a relief,” Cori says, “I would hate to have a third history teacher three months into the year.”
Mr. Saltzman gestures to the rest of the tables around them, “What about you? You have your future all planned out?” Cori exhales deeply, shaking her head.
“Not even a little bit. I have a lot of ideas, but I’m not sure which one will be the right one.” She admits.
“Well, you have time,” He assures her, “And the first choice you make doesn’t have to be the right one, you can change your mind.”
“See, logically I know that, but part of me can’t fathom not making the right choice the first time around.” She chuckles softly, “I’m a bit of a perfectionist.”
Alaric laughs, “I noticed that from the assignments you’ve turned in so far,” he says, “reminds me of your mom.” Cori finds herself smiling widely. It wasn’t often that people in Mystic Falls really remembered her mom being around so it was nice to talk to someone who knew her well. Despite not being close with her mother, Cori always admired her and it was a comparison she didn’t mind getting. Looking over Alaric’s shoulder, Cori spots Stefan lurking down the hall. She furrows her eyebrows together at the sight of him.
“It was nice talking with you, I’ll see you in class tomorrow.” She departs from Alaric and makes her way towards the younger Salvatore, a friendly smile on her face, “Hey,” she greets, snapping him out of his intense observation of Elena.
“Oh, hey, Cori,” he slides his hands into his pockets, feeling like he just got caught doing something he shouldn’t.
“I wasn’t expecting to see you here.” She admits, leaning against the wall next to him. Stefan shrugs, a non-response that makes Cori sigh, “Stefan, look,” she takes a breath, getting his full attention,  “I like you. I think you’re a good guy and you made Elena really happy.” His eyes dart away from hers briefly, a sadness within them that makes Cori chew on her lip, “I was rooting for you guys. But, you keep telling Elena you’re going to leave and yet here you are.” She gestures to his stature, standing there in the school hallway, “It’s messing with her. If you’re going to leave, you need to do it.” She places a gentle hand on his arm as if to remind him that she isn’t trying to be harsh but this is just the truth. They share a quick goodbye and Cori leaves him alone to think about what she said.
After looking at all the tables set up in the hall and witnessing a fight breaking out between Jeremy and Tyler, Cori decided it was time to go home. Unfortunately, she had ridden here with her dad and he had to stay until the fair was over since he was running a table. Deciding she didn’t want to wait and having walked home from school a million times before, Cori heads out to the parking lot by herself.
She’s barely away from the building before a truck pulls up beside her, “Hey, damsel in distress,” the driver, Logan Fell, has his window rolled down and that signature charming smile on his face, “need a ride?” He asks. Cori knew Logan the way most people knew him. He was a familiar face on her TV screen since he was a news reporter but he had also babysat her a few times when she was younger.
“Hi, Logan,” she smiles at him, her hands stuffed into her denim jacket pockets. “I was just going to walk home, it’s really not far.”
“Oh, come on, Cor, I’m not going to let you walk home alone at night,” he says, “It’s practically on my way. Hop in.” Logan insists. Cori gives in, accepting his offer and walking to the opposite side of his truck, opening the passenger door, and climbing inside.
“Thanks,” she says, “I was supposed to wait for my dad to be done, but I’m just so tired.” She huffs, looking at Logan in the driver's seat, “Do you remember the way?” She asks, noting that he hasn’t started driving yet.
“Of course I do,” he smiles, “But first, buckle up.” Cori grabs her seatbelt and leans down to buckle it in place. After that, everything goes dark.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“Shit,” Damon hisses when he opens the passenger door of Logan Fell’s truck. The newly turned vampire had just run off in the middle of Damon’s interrogation, successfully avoiding the question of who turned him. Logan had called Sheriff Forbes after kidnapping Cori from the parking lot, threatening to turn her into a vampire as some weird attempt at proving he meant business. Unluckily for him, he was still easy to track and Damon found him before he could do any more damage. Now, he was left with a passed-out Cordelia with a head wound.
“Hey,” Damon taps her cheek gently trying to get her to wake up. He could hear her heartbeat in her chest so he knew she was very much alive. He holds her face in his hands, keeping her head from lulling side to side, “Cordelia, can you hear me?” The only response he gets is a whimper from the back of her throat. Just as he’s considering feeding her some of his blood to heal the wound, two cars pull up behind Logan’s truck and he stops himself. “Alright, come on.” wraps his arms around her back and under her knees, lifting her out of the car smoothly. This movement seems to stir her a little bit, her eyelids fluttering.
“Damon?” She groans, not able to keep her eyes open for longer than it takes her to realize who was carrying her.
“Yeah, I got you,” Damon assures her, rounding the front of the truck to see Sheriff Forbes and Hayden Douglas rushing out of their cars to meet him.
“Oh my God, Cori.” Hayden rushes up to the Salvatore brother, his eyes locked on his unconscious daughter, “Is she okay?” He touches her head gently, worried eyes scanning the fresh wound on her head.
“Yeah, I think she’s okay,” Damon says. He turns his attention to the Sheriff, “Logan got away, I’m not sure where he went but we got here just in time.”
Carol Forbes nods slowly, her brows frowning in concern as she looks at the limp girl in Damon’s arms, “We’ll find him,” she places a reassuring hand on Hayden’s back, “why don’t you take her to the hospital, get her checked out?”
Hayden brushes his hand through her hair, chewing on his bottom lip in concern, “Yeah, okay,” he nods, “Let’s lay her down in the backseat.” He nods to Damon.
Damon follows him to his car and carefully lays Cori down in the backseat, taking extra care of her head as he sets her down. He straightens up, facing Hayden as the father closes the door, “Thank you,” he says softly, almost like it was hard for him to say. Their last conversation was when Hayden had explicitly said to stay away from his daughter. He had never been so grateful that his wishes were ignored, “For saving her…I owe you one.”
Damon claps him on the shoulder, “Don’t worry, I’m just glad I got here in time.” He backs away slowly, wanting to get back on Logan’s trail as soon as possible to find out who had turned the son of a bitch, “Get her home safe.”
“Dad, I’m fine,” Cori swats her dad’s hand away as he attempts to help her out of the car the next morning. She didn’t remember anything after she walked out of the school building last night. The first thing she really remembered after leaving the career fair was waking up in the hospital in the middle of the night with a terrible headache. Her dad was there holding her hand from where he sat next to her bed. According to him, she had slipped and hit her head on the steps when she was leaving. Damon had found her passed out on the ground and was the one to ultimately come to her rescue.
Cori was shocked that she couldn’t remember any of that, but the doctors who were observing her said that it was normal for the type of head wound she had endured. They kept her in the hospital the whole night just to observe her but let her go home in the morning with the promise that she would get plenty of rest and limit her screen time.
That was where she was now, her dad hovering over her like she was a glass doll who was going to shatter into a million pieces at any second. She really felt fine, the meds they had given her at the hospital had helped with her headache and despite feeling tired and a little dizzy she was only left feeling slightly confused.
“Just…take it easy on the stairs,” Hayden says, his hand on her lower back as she attempts to walk up the steps to her room.
“Dad,” she groans, “The doctor said I would be back to normal tomorrow, which means I’m 85% normal today. Which means I can walk up the stairs to my room by myself.” She glares at him. Cori knew he meant well but she just wanted to lie down and be alone.
Her dad sighs, dropping his hands in defeat, “Fine,” he says, “Go upstairs and rest, I’ll make you something to eat.”
She smiles at him in gratitude and climbs the rest of the steps by herself, only tripping on the very last one. She can hear her dad rushing to help her again but she holds up her hand, “I’m okay!” She insists, “I do that all the time, that isn’t a sign of a brain injury.”
Cori rubs the back of her sore neck as she enters her room, toeing her shoes off before she roots through her purse in search of her phone. After retrieving it, she groans at the flashing battery image that appears and plugs it into the charger on her nightstand before she heads into her connected bathroom to start the water for a hot bath.
With the tub filling up, she heads back into her room to collect her now alive phone. She has a few missed calls from Caroline and Bonnie with a few corresponding texts but the most alarming amount of calls has come from Elena so she decides to start there. Keeping the phone plugged into the charger, Cori selects Elena’s name and sits on the edge of her bed while she listens to it ringing, having a clear view of her bathtub so she can make sure it doesn’t overflow.
After a few rings, her call is answered but instead of Elena’s voice it’s a deep, male voice that says, “Hello, Elena’s phone.”
Cori frowned deeply, pulling her phone away from her ear to make sure she had actually selected Elena’s number. Sure enough, she had, “Elena? Do you have a cold or something?” She asks.
“Elena is…unavailable at the moment, Cordelia. But I’m glad to hear you’re conscious again.”
Her cheeks flame intensely as she realizes who she’s talking to, “Damon,” She says slowly, “Why do you have Elena’s phone?” She asks.
“She left it in my room last night I don’t think she realized yet.” There’s a faint protest on the other line and Cori rolls her eyes, realizing Damon was just trying to stir the pot. “She was just so distracted after the night we had.”
“Well, if you aren’t going to let me talk to Elena can you just tell her I’m fine, I saw that she called.” Cori winces at a sharp pain in her head, rubbing at her forehead like she would be able to massage it away. She pauses and says, “Thank you, by the way. My dad told me you’re the one that found me outside of the school after I fell.”
There’s a long pause from Damon before he answers, “It’s no problem, kid.” She rolls her eyes at the nickname, “I didn’t want to see you bleed out on the pavement.”
“Very generous of you,” she chuckles weakly as the pain in her head decreases.
“Yeah, I think Stefan’s hero complex is starting to rub off on me,” Damon says thoughtfully.
“We’ll have to do something about that, then,” She pinches the bridge of her nose and squeezes her eyes shut tightly, “We wouldn’t want your bad boy reputation getting tainted.”
“Yeah, we wouldn’t want that.” She can practically hear his eye roll from the other line, “But you’re okay, right? The doc cleared you and everything?” His tone takes a turn to concern and if she wasn’t in so much pain Cori would have been surprised.
“Yeah, I just have to rest and I should be back to normal tomorrow.”
“I won’t keep you, then. I’ll tell Elena you called.”
Cori rolls her eyes, “Give her phone back, freak,” she scolds him and then adds on, “Thanks again, Damon.”
“See ya, kid.” He hangs up the phone and the jolt of pain that strikes Cori is so strong that she drops her phone and doubles over on the edge of her bed. Her vision goes blurry and she hears the faint sound of running water coming from the bathroom.
Shit, the tub. She hadn’t been paying attention at all and the water from the rub was now overflowing onto the bathroom floor. She tries to get up to turn it off but the speed of her movements causes the room to spin and she falls to her knees.
Come, darling… A voice whispers and there’s a faint ringing in her ears as she desperately tries to get her vision to focus. Cori pushes herself to crawl toward the bathroom despite her bones feeling like they would give out on her at any second.
Closer darling…The same voice whispers when she passes the threshold into the bathroom. The tile floor was soaked with water, she can feel it soaking through her jeans and her socks as she scoots across the floor, her vision still blurry and spinning. She doesn’t know where the voices are coming form but all she can think about is getting to the faucet and turning off the water. Finally, she reaches the tub and holds herself up on the edge of it, “Closer, still…” it whispers again as she reaches a shaky hand forward, her fingers grazing the faucet handle, “You have nothing left to be afraid of, now…”
Just as she grasps the knob to shut off the water, a hand shoots out and grabs her wrist. Cori screams so loud her throat burns. The hand is a murky green color with scales crawling up the forearm and nails so sharp they were practically claws. Before she can scream again, the hand pulls her forward with such incredible strength that the front half of her body falls into the tub. She struggles against the hold of the hand but the more she fights the stronger they become, almost as if multiple hands were holding her underwater at once. She’s slowly losing air, thinking back to those times in the pool when she saw the same hand in the water and how she had felt this same sense of fear. They weren’t this strong before, though. She was under for too long, even as a champion swimmer she couldn’t hold her breath this long and she could feel the pain in her chest increase as she fought to keep water from getting in.
As she was fighting the urge to allow water into her lungs, she noticed the water around her was dark and depthless, unlike the tub she had assumed she was inside. It was like she was in a dark lake, looking down to see if she could spot the bottom. From the darkness, she sees something move. Long, dark hair moving with the water, and a face like nothing she had seen before. Smooth features covered in iridescent scales and eyes so bright blue it was almost like they were glowing. But what would really send her over the edge was when the face opened its scaly mouth rows of sharp teeth were revealed.
Cori opened her mouth and screamed in the water, forming bubbles all around her. The creature simply smiled at her fear, moving closer to the frightened girl.
Just as she was about to reach Cori, a hand grabbed her from above the surface and yanked her out of the water.
Suddenly, she was back in her bathroom, kneeling in front of her tub. The water had overflowed and was still soaking the bathroom floor but there was no darkness within the bathtub and no scaly hand reaching for her. Cori was still screaming. Over and over again she was screaming at the top of her lungs, her sopping wet hair sticking to the side of her face. She’s looking around the room with wide, frightened eyes while whoever had pulled her out was trying to comfort her by wrapping a towel around her.
“Shhh, Cori, you’re okay.” It was her dad’s voice, he was the one who had pulled her out of the tub, “Hey it’s me, it’s dad, you’re safe. Just breathe.” He soothes her as she coughs repeatedly, ridding her lungs of the water she has inhaled. He keeps repeating ‘you’re okay’ over and over again as she catches her breath, her coughs turning to sobs.
After calming down, Cori’s hoarse voice breaks through her sobs, “What’s happening to me, Dad?” She asks.
Hayden smooths her wet hair down, holding her to his chest, “I don’t know, honey,” he whispers against the crown of her head, squeezing his eyes shut when he hears the pain in her voice, “I don’t know.”
But Hayden Douglas did know what was happening to his youngest daughter. He knew very well what was occurring within her body and mind, he just couldn’t figure out how to explain it to her yet.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While Hayden had fought against her return to school very hard, he was no match for a stubborn, stir-crazy Cordelia who was insistent that she get back to some semblance of normalcy. She had chalked up the incident in the bathroom to a symptom of her fall and had promised that she would tell her dad if she experienced anything else out of the ordinary. The one thing she did compromise on was not driving to school which was why she was now climbing into the front seat of Elena’s car.
“Thanks for picking me up.” Cori smiles, closing the door behind her and setting her coffee cup in the cupholder.
“Hey,” Elena greets, looking over at her friend and gesturing to the bandage on her head. It was significantly smaller than what she had started out with and she could mostly cover it up with her fringe but it was still noticeable, “How’s the wound?”
“It’s fine,” Cori huffs as she buckles her seatbelt, “just a reminder of my humiliation.”
“Come on,” Elena scoffs, rolling her eyes as she pulls away from the Douglas home and heads toward school, “it’s not humiliating, it could have happened to anyone.”
“No, Elena, this has Cordelia Douglas written all over it,” she insists, “I mean, it wasn’t even raining or anything. How does one just slip and crack her head open in the middle of the school parking lot?”
Elena bites her tongue, fighting the urge to tell her friend what had really happened. It could be a blessing that Cori didn’t remember being kidnapped by Logan. The more she could keep her friends out of all this business the better. Which reminded her of something as she rolled to a stop at a red light. “I got you something,” She reaches into the center console and pulls out a small box, handing it to her friend.
Cori gasps, taking the box, “For me?” She says in a high-pitched voice, “What’s the occasion?”
Elena chuckles and shrugs her shoulders, “I just saw it in a store and thought of you,” She says simply, hiding the real meaning behind the gift. Cori slides the lid off the box and gasps again, “Do you like it?”
“Like it? I love it!” She carefully retrieves the bracelet from the box and admires it. It was a classic bracelet of pearls with a sparkling pendant in the middle to hold them all together. She had never seen anything more beautiful in her life. Aside from her family’s necklace, of course, this was a close second. “Thank you, Elena, you really shouldn’t have.” She smiles genuinely at her friend as she carefully places the bracelet on her wrist.
“Consider it an ‘I’m sorry you got a concussion’ gift.” Elena returns the smile as the light turns green and she continues in the direction of the school.
“Well, if that’s the case maybe I should get concussions more often.” Cori holds her arm out in front of her, admiring the piece of jewelry in the light shining through the windshield.
Elena narrows her eyes, “Not funny.”
Cori shrugs, “Kinda funny.” She says.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While she had never understood why this school did so many decade dances, Cori couldn’t fight the appeal of the poofy skirt on her dress. She was standing by a table with Bonnie and Caroline who were having even less fun than Cori who was currently swooshing her skirt back and forth. Everyone had nailed it with the costumes for this dance, she had to admit. She had picked out a white dress with small blue flowers all over it for herself and had styled her hair in such a way that her bangs covered the bandage she still had to wear on her head.
“Hey,” Elena approaches them, fidgeting with one of her earrings, “having fun?” She asks.
“No,” Caroline answers instantly, making Cori snort. The blonde was just upset that Matt had to work and didn’t ask her to be his date to this thing. That girl could sulk like no other. “But this took two hours,” she gestures to herself, “so I’m trying to stay for at least half of that.” Elena laughs.
Bonnie seems disengaged from the conversation, her eyes focused on something across the room, “What’s Damon doing here?” She asks. The remaining three friends turned and looked in the direction she was facing and, sure enough, Damon Salvatore was snaking through the crowd in the gymnasium.
“He wanted to come,” Elena says, turning to look at her friends who were all now giving her a disapproving look, “I promise he’ll behave.” The behavior that Cori had been scolded for when Damon had first come to town seemed to be the norm, now. She wasn’t going to bring that up, though.
“So what is this, like, a threesome now?” Caroline asks, failing to conceal her jealousy, “You and the Salvatore brothers?”
Elena rolls her eyes, “No, but, if I want to be with Stefan I’m going to have to learn to tolerate Damon.” She explains but the girls don’t seem convinced, especially Bonnie and Caroline, “It’s not like I can kill him.”
Bonnie’s eyes are still locked on the elder Salvatore as she says, “There’s a thought.”
“Mmm, I’ll help,”  Caroline adds, clinking her punch glass with Bonnie’s. Elena looks down, trying hard not to smile at their comments, Cori goes back to swishing her dress back and forth.
“The twirl capabilities of this dress are astronomical.” She says as her attempt of changing the subject, “I mean, there’s a lot about the 50s that should stay in the 50s but I’d really love for these to come back in style.”
For the most part, her friends ignore her and look around the gymnasium wistfully, as if wishing for the fun night they had been expecting to have. Elena eventually wanders off to find Stefan, leaving her three friends alone once more. The vibe was so off tonight and Cori couldn’t put her finger on it. Bonnie seemed more irritable than normal, especially since she found out Damon was here, and Caroline was pouting uncontrollably. Cori had hoped this night would be fun enough to distract her from the other issues in her life that her friends didn’t know about. As it was panning out, it didn’t seem tonight would be the turning point she had hoped.
To make matters worse, Damon approaches their table with a confident smirk on his face, “Hi Bonnie, wanna dance?” He asks, extending his hand to her.
Bonnie looks disgusted, holding her hands up like that was her final straw, “I’m outta here.” She says, moving to walk away.
Damon is quick to step in front of her, closing off her escape route, “Please,” he says, looking into her eyes, “give me another chance.” Cori frowns at their interaction, wondering what had perspired between them that she had missed.
Bonnie ignores him, sidestepping his form and making her way out of the gym. Caroline sighs, moving to follow her, “Back off, Damon.” She glares, her dress swishing as she follows her friend out of the dance. Cori sighs, defeated by the fact that they had just walked away.
Damon turns back to Cori, opening his mouth to say something before Elena and Stefan approach, cutting him off, “Where did they go?” She asks Damon, craning her neck to hopefully see where Bonnie and Caroline had retreated to.
Damon shrugs, “I don’t know.”
Stefan eyes his brother carefully, “What did you say to them?” He asks his older brother who scoffs.
“I was perfectly polite.” He defends himself. In all honesty, if his history with all of them didn’t exist you could have assumed he was being perfectly polite from that one interaction but Caroline and Bonnie obviously saw right through it, “Elena,” Damon turns his attention to his brother’s girlfriend, “would you like to dance?”
Cori watches the interaction closely. To her surprise, and everyone else within earshot, Elena says, “I would love to,” she then looks up at Stefan, “May I have this dance?” Damon’s smile falls quickly and Cori has to cover her mouth to keep from laughing. Stefan seems quite pleased with his girlfriend’s wittyness and offers her his arm which she takes happily. After they slip away to the dancefloor, Damon turns to look at Cori with a look that said ‘can you believe that?’
She’s leaning her elbows on the table in front of her, holding her chin in her palms, “You kind of walked right into that one.” She shrugs.
Damon sighs, holding his hand out to her, “Would you like to dance, Cordelia?” He asks.
She looks from his hand to his face, scrunching her brows together, “What? Now that I’m the only one left?” She asks.
“No,” He says quickly, his confident smirk making another appearance, “because you owe me one,” her eyebrows shoot up, “you know, for not letting you bleed out in the parking lot.”
She sighs, rolling her eyes in defeat, “Right, your hero complex, I forgot about that,” she hadn’t forgotten at all. Cori finishes the contents of her punch glass and smooths her skirt out before reaching forward to take his hand, “Fine. One dance.”
Damon grins in triumph, taking her hand firmly in his before twirling her in a quick circle and pulling her into his chest. Cori giggles in surprise, placing the hand that wasn’t wrapped in his on his shoulder. She glances up at him as he expertly moves them further onto the dancefloor without missing a step. Her cheeks flush at their closeness and she curses her completely normal bodily reaction. “Don’t spin me too much,” She says, breaking the silence, “I’m still getting dizzy easily.”
‘Ah, right,” Their hands are clasped together tightly as they sway to the music and the hand that Damon has resting on her waist lifts up to her forehead, pushing her hair to the side so he can get a better look at her bandage, “how’s that head of yours?” His voice is barely above a whisper and she can hear him clear as day due to their closeness.
She shrugs and her skin erupts in warmth as his hand returns to her waist while her’s slowly slides down to his bicep, “It’s been better,” she says, “But I’m sure it would be a lot worse if you hadn’t found me when you did.”
He seems indifferent to this observation, shrugging his shoulders and glancing over the top of her head to observe the room around them, “You’ll have to start being more careful,” He says, leaning down so that his lips are right by her ear, “I might not always be around to save you.”
When he pulls back from her slightly, she frowns in a sort of frustrated grimace and he feels her fingers tighten on his bicep, “I can’t figure you out, Damon.”
“What do you mean?”
“I mean,” she sighs, “One minute you’re set on being the villain in everyone’s story, and the next you’re trying to get a redemption arc.” Their eyes are locked as she talks and the song they’re dancing to is coming to an end, “One minute I can’t stand you, and the next it’s like…”
“Like what?” Damon prods.
“Like I tolerate you,” that wasn’t what she was originally going to say but he didn’t need to know that.
“Oh, well, that’s just my irresistible charm, kid,” she rolls her eyes at the nickname but his tone turns serious, “But trust me, you don’t want to try and figure me out.”
“That’s like telling me I don’t want to breathe, Damon,” Cori tells him. The slow song they were dancing to fades into a more upbeat one and Damon reluctantly releases her hand and steps away from her.
“Thanks for the dance,” he smirks, “consider your debt paid.” He slips through the crowded gymnasium and Cori suddenly feels cold with his absence. She walks back to the table where she finds Caroline standing with her arms crossed over her chest.
“That looked cozy,” she remarks, that judgemental smirk of her’s very evident.
Cori frowns at her and comes to a stop right in front of her, “I thought you guys left?”
“I forgot my purse,” she holds up her small clutch, “Bonnie and I are gonna go to The Grill.”
“Oh,” Cori nods, reaching for her own bag that was sitting on the table, “I’ll go with you.”
Caroline rolls her eyes, “I don’t think so.” Her friend freezes, frowning on the blonde.
“What’s wrong?”
It’s like a switch is flipped in Caroline and her eyes narrow as she points an accusing finger at Cori, “You are such a hypocrite, Cori!” She exclaims, drawing the attention of some close by dancegoers.
Cori looks around her, embarrassed by her friend raising her voice, “Excuse me?” She raises an eyebrow.
“You were so quick to write off Damon when I was with him,” Caroline explains, “but the second we break up you jump at the chance to get close to him.”
Cori holds her hands up in defense, blinking in stunned silence while she processes what one of her best friends just accused her of, “Okay, first of all, it was one dance. I wasn’t jumping on him.” She clarifies, “And second of all, he sort of saved me from extreme blood loss when I fell the other night so I was just thanking him.”
“Why don’t you write him a thank you note next time?”
“I didn’t realize it would upset you, Caroline, I’m sorry.”
“I don’t believe you.”
“What do you mean you don’t believe me?”
“I think you knew it would upset me and that’s why you did it. You’re jealous of me so you want something that I can’t have.”
“How can you say that? It’s like you don’t even know me.”
“Well, maybe we don’t know each other like we thought we did.” Cori opens her mouth to respond but no words come out. She had no idea where this was coming from but she felt horrible for hurting her friend the way she did, “Find your own ride home.” Caroline spits before turning around and walking out of the dance. Cori can feel a few eyes on her as the argument drew a bit of attention. She wraps her arms around herself and ducks her head down as she heads for the bathroom, hoping something else will happen while she’s in there to make people forget.
She really hadn’t meant to hurt Caroline. She thought that dancing with Damon would be harmless since Caroline had been having this new thing with Matt and had seemingly moved on from her fling with Damon. She had been wrong. She felt awful and humiliated but also a little bit angry. Caroline had just assumed that Cori’s intentions were malicious without even talking with her first. As if Cori had done anything to purposefully hurt Caroline in the past. Had she not been as good of a friend as she thought she was?
A few girls leave the bathroom as she’s entering and Cori finds herself alone, something which she’s grateful for. She braces her hands on the sink and looks at herself in the mirror, examining her reflection. Did Caroline really see her as some sort of threat? If you looked at them side by side there had to be no comparison. Caroline was slim and beautiful. Her hair was always perfectly styled and her skin flawless, it was like she had an immunity to humidity. Her clothes always looked perfectly styled and she could start a conversation with anyone.
Cori was awkwardly taller than all of her other friends, sticking out like a sore thumb in all of their pictures together. She wasn’t nearly as slim as the rest of them and her skin had way more imperfections. No matter how much hairspray or heat she applied to her hair it would always manage to frizz up and look a mess. Everytime she was picking out an outfit she felt like a child playing dress up.
Sweeping her bangs out of the way, Cori examines the bandage on her forehead to make sure it was still in place. Satisfied with the look of it, she moves her bangs back and tries to smooth down her flyaways the best she can. Sighing, she grabs a paper towel from the dispenser and starts to wipe off her red lipstick, not feeling like staying at the dance any longer now that her mood was killed. She would have to find another way home, though. Maybe Elena would still be around if she wasn’t mad at her also.
After a few more moments alone in the bathroom, Cori heads back into the gym to collect her bag and steps out into the deserted hallway to dial Elena’s number. Unfortunately, after it rings a few times it goes to voicemail. Cori decides to leave a message, “Hey, Elena. Caroline and I had a littel argument and her and Bonnie left. If you’re still at the dance would you be able to give me a ride home? If not it’s no big deal, but I just thought I’d call and see. Talk to you later. Bye.” Cori exhales, hanging up the phone and aimlessly scrolling through her contacts to see if anyone else would be able to give her a ride. Just as she was about to dial her dad and ask him to come get her, she feels the presence of someone coming to stand in front of her. Cori looks up, sighing at the sight of Damon.
“Need a ride?” He smirks at her. He looked slightly more dishelved than he had when they were dancing but Cori doesn’t dwell on that. She did indeed need a ride but she wasn’t sure if that was a good idea after the altercation she had with Caroline over a dance.
She tucks a stray curl behind her ear, “I’m gonna call my dad, see if he’ll come get me.” she holds her phone up.
Damon waves a hand, “Come on, don’t make your old man come get you. I was just heading out, anyway. Let me take you home.”
Cori is faced with a decision she didn’t really want to make. On one hand, she had just been told explicitly by Caroline that her being around Damon upset her and accepting a ride soon after that would not translate well. On the other hand, Caroline had left her here and told her to get another ride home. This was another ride home. What were the chances of Caroline even finding out?...Pretty high considering what a big mouth this town had. But Cori was desperate, tired, and just wanted to go home to bed. “Okay,” she nods at Damon, tucking her phone into her bag, “thanks.”
He leads her out to the spot where his car is parked. She’s slightly impressed by his blue camaro but not exactly surprised, “Nice car,” she remarks as they both get inside.
“I know,” Damon says as he starts it up and revs the engine, smirking over at her, “It’s a babe magnet.”
She rolls her eyes at him, “I always thought that guys who have loud cars like this are compensating for something.” She looks dead in his eyes, “You know….for the size of something.”
Damon scoffs, putting the car in gear, “Trust me, sweetheart, I don’t have anything to make up for.” She directs her gaze out the passenger side window to hopefully hide her blush. She directs him on which way to go as they pull out of the parking lot and there’s comfortable silence before he speaks again, “Blondie and Bon-Bon ditch you?” He asks.
Cori sighs, smoothing her hands over the skirt of her dress, “Yeah, uh, I think they went to The Grill.” She shrugs.
“Why didn’t you go with them?” He glances at her out of his peripheral.
She chews on her bottom lip, “Caroline didn’t want me to.” Damon frowns but doesn’t verbally pry, although his curious silence is enough for Cori to open up, “She was pretty upset about me dancing with you. She thought I was doing it to upset her on purpose.”
“Were you?”
Cori whips her head around to look at him, her eyes narrowing, “No, I wasn’t!” She snaps, “God, does everyone think I’m some bitch all of a sudden? I would never do that.”
Damon holds up one hand in defense, “I was just asking.” He says, gripping the steering wheel with both hands again, “You don’t seem like the type to do something like that.”
Cori scoffs, holding her hands in her lap while she starts picking at her cuticles, “Try telling that to Caroline. Apparently she doesn’t know me as well as she thought she did.” Her tone is somber and Damon glances at her again at how hurt she sounds.
“Caroline seems like the jealous type. I’m sure she’ll cool down soon. What we had wasn’t serious.” He tries assuring her but it doesn’t seem to have worked.
“I just don’t get why she would be threatened by me dancing with you one time,” She sighs, “I mean, look at me and look at Caroline. If, for some messed up reason, we were in competition against each other I wouldn’t stand a chance.”
“What’s that supposed to mean?” Damon snorts, taking a right turn in her direction.
She starts waving her hands around like the right words will suddenly appear in front of them so she doesn’t have to explain it, “She has it all. She’s smart, pretty, charismatic…she’s just like my sister, honestly.” Why was she talking to him about this? He didn’t care. It was stupid, petty teenage drama. He was just trying to be nice by giving her a ride home and she was oversharing big-time.
Damon surprises her by what he says next, “You can’t always compare yourself to other people. You’ll never be Caroline and you’ll never be your sister. But you have to be…content with that.” He explains. Cori stares at his profile as he talks, “The world already has a lot of Caroline’s, they don’t need you to be another.” He takes a deep breath and continues, “A lot of people in my life have tried to compare me to Stefan. They wonder why I’m not more like him. Why am I not as nice as him? How come my brother can be so good and I can be so unlikable?” Cori redirects her gaze for a moment, feeling like she was staring too far into his soul, “And, I’m not saying that kind of stuff doesn’t get to me anymore, it does sometimes.” He pauses and she thinks he might be done but, after a moment, he goes on, “We were both in love with the same girl at one point, Katherine,” Cori frowned at the name. She thought Elena had mentioned Stefan’s ex-girlfriend before but she didn’t know Damon had loved her as well, “I couldn’t understand why I wasn’t enough, why she had to keep Stefan around. Sometimes I think I made myself so opposite of Stefan to keep everyone from expecting me to be like him.”
He had no idea what it was about the girl sitting next to him that made him want to open up with her. This was stuff he hadn’t told anyone before and he had to fight the instinct to kill her instantly for making him confide in her.
Cori ponders what Damon had told her. She felt a sense of…pride in the fact that he had been so open and a deep sense of understanding for the things he has felt throughout her life, “Careful, Damon,” She says as he comes to a slow stop in front of her house, “I might just figure you out.”
He smiles at her, that familiar mischievous tone behind his grin, “Not a chance, kid.” She grabs her bag and places her hand on the door handle.
“Thanks for the ride,” She says, pushing the door open. He simply nods at her in response, “I’ll see you around.” Cori steps out of his car and shuts the door behind her, jogging lightly up to her porch. Damon stays and watches her get to the front door and collect her key from her bag.
As she successfully unlocks the front door, she turns and smiles at him over her shoulder, waving her fingers at him in farewell. Damon feels his chest tighten as he waves bag, a strange feeling warming him from the inside but it quickly vanishes as she slips inside and closes the door behind her. He shakes it off and puts his car into gear, speeding away from the house and the girl inside of it.
Hi can I request damon salvatore dating hcs?
I JUST SCREAMED OML! My first TVD request 💓💓💓
I'm only on the 3rd season, so I'm not super familiar with his whole character, so I apologize if his ooc.
Tumblr media
(fluff, gn!reader, this is a bit short, sorry anon, blood mentioned, marking, I think this is it!)
˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰ა ☆ ໒꒱ ‧₊˚˚₊‧꒰
• Okay, so from what I know.. he can be a bit of a dick, even to the people he cares about. But he tries.
• He would actually do anything for you. You need someone dead, done. You've run out of something, he's already at the store just tell him what you need. He's whipped for you.
• He'll be super soft with you, though. Like, breakfast in bed soft.
• If you're human, you know he's putting vervain in everything and making sure he finds you a good ring so he won't lose you too soon. If you're a vampire, you're in for a wild ride. He's still head over heels for you, but imagine this, you're a vampire, and you're both starving. Take a normal dinner date and turn it. You'll both be out snacking on whoever you can find, and he loves it.
• He gets so possessive over you, not an unbearable amount, but enough that everyone knows you're off limits.
• Speaking of possessiveness, if you're a human and let him, he will gladly bite you. Not enough to drink your blood if you don't want him too, but enough to leave a nice mark so everyone knows your his. He loves seeing them scattered along your pretty body.
• If you're a human and a little weird, in a good way, I promise and later in your relationship offer him your blood. He might just get on one knee and marry you right then. He's super careful about it and might even let you bite him back, he just likes to watch you cringe if you bite a little too deep and break his skin.
• Obviously, he's not going to compell you for anything. No, this is pure love between the both of you, hopefully.
• He likes to take you out and buy (or steal) the most expensive things he can for you. He's a show off. (He might also borrow/steal Stefans old porshe and take you for a nice drive.)
• His phone is full of pictures of you two, mainly just you, though. He might even make one of them his wallpaper. He's just so in love with you.
• Overall, you two probably have an amazing relationship, vampire or not, he loves you all the same. He will make an amazing boyfriend, and hopefully husband.
Warnings- small kiss, swearing, talks of heartbreak.
Requests are always open <3
Tumblr media
“No! Do you remember when that girl threw her drink over you when you told her your car was in the shop and you couldn’t drive her home” I hysterically laughed on the Salvatore sofa. Caroline, Elena, Bonnie, Alaric, Tyler, jeramy and Stefan all burst out laughing at Damon’s expense. But even he giggled a bit. “She was crazy, it was lucky I didn’t go home with her, she might have smothered me in my sleep” he added making everyone laugh again.
“I love that we can just sit here and talk about things like this” Elena smiled looking around. “Life has normality now- no one’s after us- we’re just laughing together”. Caroline took Elenas hand giving her a big smile. “Talking about normality- I have a date” I smiled at the girls whose eyes lit up with excitement. “What the hell do you mean date” Damon jerked his head backwards. He was sitting next to me and we were across from the girls, so I swivelled my head round to him.
“Where’d that attitude come from” I laughed shaking my head. “Oh” Tyler burst out after it was obvious he’d been racking his brain. “Did my dear uncle finally grow some balls to ask you out?” Tyler questioned raising an eyebrow. “Yeah” I nodded my head giggling. “Mason” Damon frowned after spitting out his name as if he was the ugliest guy on the planet. “I’m not sure how I really feel about it- he doesn’t have the best track record but- we’ll see how it goes” I shrugged being optimistic. “Where? When?” Elena exclaimed excitedly. “Um 8 tonight- at the grill”“Tonight!” Damon burst out for the third time.
“What the hell is wrong with you” Alaric asked his best friend. “Nothing- but you can do better than a werewolf” he muttered the last words part to himself. However most people here had supernatural hearing, and so did Tyler. “What the hell is that supposed to mean” he snarled at Damon with fire in his eyes. “Exactly what I just said” he responded with a neutral tone.
“Stop it” I blurted out, “i don’t want a big deal made- it’s just a date it might not even pan out to be anything” I told him getting up off the sofa. “I’m going home, I have to get ready” “I’ll walk you out” Elena smiled jumping up. “Bye y/n” everyone waved as Elena put her arm around mine and linked them. I noticed Damon was the only one who didn’t say goodbye. He just stared at me.
I’d speak about it to him later but now I’d just ignore his behaviour. I had other things on my mind. “I think it’s so great you’ve gotten back out there y/n- after your heart was broken you were so against it” Elena told me as we exited the room. “Don’t get too excited, like I said I’m not a hundred percent sure I even like him” I shrugged not making it a big deal. I didn’t want everyone to have some sort of high expectation. “Can I ask you something?” Elena smiled as we got to the front door and stopped walking.
“Sure” “seems you have a date I thought now would be the best time to ask… you and Damon” she began looking at me with a weary face. “Is anything going on between you two?”. My head jerked back as confusion sank in. “Me and Damon? No” I laughed out behind my hand. “Why would you ever think that?”. Elena was clearly happy with the answer I gave her which kind of made me regret saying no. Maybe I wanted a thing with Damon, he was handsome and funny and I love a bad boy.
However there was not something going on between us. “Oh I dunno- just the way you two are together sometimes- the flirting, the way you two look at each other” Elena answered in a hushed tone. “Oh” I replied, completely unsure of how to take her comment. “But if there’s nothing going on- and I’m not stepping on your toes, I’d like to ask him out tonight” she wiggled her eyebrows, I gave her the best fake smile I could and leaned into hug her just so she wouldn’t catch on and i could stop acting like I wasn’t jealous. “Good luck girl” I whispered to her, “and you y/n- hope he treats you like the princess you are” she rubbed my back.
I pulled away and waved her off as I left the Salvatore household and got into my car. And Elena closed the door behind me.
She wondered back into the living room bouncing with the feeling of excitement about her new information regarding Damon. However his face was missing from the room when she got there. “Where’d Damon go?” She asked as all the happiness drained out of her. “He said he had an errand to run” Alaric rolled his eyes shrugging.
I made it home and showered to get ready for my date. I put on a dark purple dress which yes, made my girls look nice. If I undone the top button they really popped but I’d save that for a second date maybe. As I was getting ready to leave the nerves sank in as well as the excitement for a new person and experience. I hadn’t been on a date in a long time however I hadn’t been ready for a long time. But I was now, everything in my life was stable apart from my love life. And my sex life. I pulled up at the grill at about ten to eight, fashionably early.
“Hey- I’m meeting someone here um table for Lockwood?” I asked the woman in uniform at the front of the restaurant. “Umm oh yes I see the table- however he’s not here yet miss, I can seat you if you’d like” she smiled up at me from her iPad. “Oh that’s fine I’m a little early anyway- thank you” I nodded waiting for her to show me the way. I sat down at a little table in the corner, which was nice as it was out of the way from the crowds and i couldn’t see much of the bar from here. “Can I get you anything?” She smiled getting out her pad.
“Um - red wine please, thank you” I nodded rubbing my hands on my thighs nervously. “Right away” the lady nodded and scurried off. She was back with my drink within two minutes. But I had to get another one when it got to ten past eight and Mason hadn’t showed up. Maybe it was traffic? Maybe he couldn’t figure out what to wear? I decided to let ten minutes slide. Then it got to half eight. Maybe a wolf thing came up? Maybe he ran into Katherine? Thirty minutes was a bit of a piss take. So i decided to text him but keep waiting. Nine o’clock came around and i’d had three wines, no word of Mason and looks from almost everyone that walked in. Maybe his phone was dead? Maybe he was stranded somewhere?
I’d give it just a little more time. And one more drink. Which brought me to half nine. Maybe he just wasn’t coming? Maybe he just didn’t like me?
I fiddled with my phone looking at his name. Did I text him to have a go at him? Did I text him to say I was disappointed? Or did I just block him and never give him a chance to even explain or myself the chance to express how embarrassed I was. While overthinking I heard a thud come from the seat in front of me. Mason? I looked up from my screen to see the Damon Salvatore sat in front of me with his sunglasses on, inside?
“W-what are you doing here” I stuttered. “Where is he?” Damon gritted his teeth removing his glasses. I swallowed my pride and gave my full attention to Damon, turning my phone off. “He stood me up” I replied disheartened with how my night had gone. “Thought so- he’s fucking filth y/n, you never should have agreed to see him” he shook his head. “What do you mean you thought so? How long have you been here?” I knitted my brows together. “Longer than you- I saw you come in- I saw you waiting and everyone staring” he told me in a small voice looking at his hands.
“How didn’t I see you?” I questioned looking around the place for a blind spot. Ah. “The bar” we both said simultaneously. I cracked a smile at him but Damon wasn’t in a smiling mood. “What’s wrong?” “I’m pissed off- what gives a prick like him the right to leave such a gorgeous girl sitting at a table alone- in a bar where anything could happen” he shook his head butting the side of his mouth. “You think I’m- gorgeous?” I blinked at him, it made my eyes fill up with salty tears.
I was upset and embarrassed about being stood up. It was a real confidence knocker. And to hear Damon say that, it really meant a lot. “I’ve lived a long time y/n, and you’ve been the only girl who can literally take my breath away, naturally”. Now I was leaning a different way, my thoughts were now all muddled up. What did he mean by that. “I can see you’re confused…” Damon stated now showing a little smile. “I- came to the bar not just to drink away the thought of you going on a date with another man, but also to spy on the date…”. I took a second to think but I still didn’t understand where he was going.
“Damon- what are you talking about?” I replied blinking. Hoping he was about to tell me that he was jealous or something. “I was jealous- of Mason- and you- because I want to date you, I want to take you to restaurants and shower you in flowers and treat you to meals, I don’t want another man doing that for you”. My heart punched my chest and I couldn’t help but smile at everything he was saying to me. “So date me then” my smile widened. Damon’s eyes widened “you- like me too?” He asked in the most innocent voice I’d ever heard him use. I nodded.
“I just- never wanted to ruin our friendship… and also thought you were into Elena” I trailed off looking down but sitting forward now. Damon reached across the table taking my hand in his. “I’ve always liked you y/n” “well then” I smiled squeezing his hand. “I’m out of red wine and you don’t seem to have a drink, we can’t start without them” I smirked making Damon chuckle. “ I’ll be right back” he told me getting up straight away.
“Don’t stand me up” I joked as he walked past. He stopped and backed up. And lent down to kiss my lips. Just quickly, just a peck. “I’d never stand you up princess, and I’d never pass up on this opportunity” he whispered rubbing his thumb on my cheek and making me blush from his sweet words. “Now, I’ll be right back” he made clear as he parted from me. I watched him walk away from me and to the bar.
Ugh, he was so hot.
Chapter Nine: I'm Yours
“Just one more thing, I promise.” Pia sat back on his lap and watched as Klaus carefully removed a small velvet pouch from his pocket. Some of the edges had frayed due to its age but it was mostly intact. Pia’s breath hitched as she recognised the familiar red fabric. “Even though you no longer wished to wear it, I still kept it safe in hope that one day you would honour me and treasure this again.” It had been sometime after Katerina’s escape that Pia had thrown the ring away in anger. After their time in England as husband and wife had ended, she had kept it on the piece of string that her half-moon had been on and had made sure to keep it on her person at all times; whether it be around her neck when they travelled or fastened within her dresses when in public. Pia had never wished to part from it until the stress of her brother’s cold nature had become too much. She had thrown the ring into a pond that was on the grounds of their house and then stormed off back inside.
“How?”
“I compelled a few of the houseboys to swim and find it for me. I believe it took them all afternoon. I know that I prioritised my need for revenge over you, but when you threw this away it was like a punch to the stomach. I felt sick at the sight of the ring sinking down to the murky depths of the pond.” He slowly plucked the gold ring from its confines and held it in his palm. “I would like it very much if you would keep this again… perhaps even wear it.” His eyes bore into hers with such intensity that Pia shuffled in place and bit her lip.
“I- I would love to wear it again.” Nik gently slid the ring onto her finger and brought her hand up to his mouth; he pressed a slow kiss against the emerald stone and smiled. Pia watched transfixed as he entwined their hands and held them to his chest.
“I love you, my beautiful wolf. I always will.”
---
For a time Kol had been jealous of the connection between Pia and Niklaus. He had noted how his brother hadn’t truly cherished Pia when Tatia had been around and yet his best friend found her loyalty unwavering. She had simply waited for Nik to realise his mistake; her love ever growing for the boy she had grown up with. Kol didn’t understand it but carried on trying to protect her even more when their brother decided to act like a fool.
So, it was with these thoughts of the past that he currently stood at the bottom of the stairs glaring at the couple.
She loved him more than anyone else in the family ever had. He had never felt truly appreciated and adored until Pia’s eyes had been upon him. He still felt that familiar, although now unwelcome and annoying, warmth whenever she would smile at him or drag him to stand beside the others in solidarity. Kol had wondered whether she was a succubus rather than a werewolf-vampire hybrid due to how he always felt swayed to do what she wanted whenever she asked. Damn that girl.
“Brother, do not cause trouble.”
“I do not know what you mean, Elijah.”
“Do not act dumb, it doesn’t suit you.” The eldest Mikaelson stood beside his brother and watched him closely. Kol’s shoulders were tense and his hands were clenched into fists. “I know it is hard for any of us to trust Niklaus, but he is trying his best.”
“You know nothing.”
“I know you cherish her above all others. Pia has always been your guiding light throughout the centuries; anchoring you to the little humanity you still possess.” Elijah knew his brother would hear nothing more on the matter and so paused in front of him to look into his eyes. “You need to let them try to heal.”
“That’s where you are wrong, Elijah.” Kol’s eyes glistened with mischief and he smirked at his brother’s concerned expression. “What I need is a drink.” And, in a blur of motion, Kol vamped out of the manor to find his first meal of the day.
Great, that was just… great. Elijah sighed and followed his tearaway brother. The twins, especially Pia in particular, didn’t need to hear about this. He just hoped that he could talk some sense into his brother before he did something stupid.
The hybrid siblings sighed in unison. Pia felt perfectly at peace; Klaus was lying on the sofa with his mate straddling his waist, her legs on either side of his hips and her head upon his chest. Pia breathed in his scent and smiled happily to herself as she subconsciously nuzzled her nose against him. Klaus’ eyes were closed and for the first time in centuries his face was completely relaxed. His fingers lazily danced through her curls, causing the ringlets to straighten and then bounce back into shape.
Their wolves pressed close to their skin, their chests letting out quiet rumbles as they growled to each other. They could feel each other and communicated through the mate bond. Pia rubbed the side of her face against the centre of Klaus’ chest and was rewarded with his arms pulling her up his front so that their noses touched.
Klaus gave a simple smile as he beheld the blue pools that looked down at him. Pia’s eyes had always amazed him, and ever since unlocking their wolves, he had noticed them change a little. Her blue eyes had once mirrored his, but now he saw amber flecks that were close to the pupil; her wolf ever-present even when she was in human form. He found that he liked that. It suited her. The warm glow clashing with the cool blue made her look almost hypnotising. His mate was truly enthralling.
“What are you thinking of?” Pia’s soft voice broke his concentration and he found his heart pounding as he saw the beautiful smile on her face. She had raised herself up, her hands pressed into the cushion of the settee so that she could look down upon him; her blonde curls fell around her face and tickled his cheeks. Klaus traced his hands over her hips, up her chest and back to her hair. He seemed to like touching her ringlets today, Pia noted mentally as he brought her face down to his using his hands that were wrapped in her locks to take control.
“You two are completely sickening to watch.” Rebekah’s voice broke through their tranquillity. Pia buried her head into Klaus’ neck as she grinned. Whilst the girls were thoroughly amused, Klaus was not and he sighed heavily.
“Then avert your eyes and stop looking at us.” Klaus honestly didn’t know why they were being treated like fish in a tank, he had felt Kol’s burning gaze into the side of his face earlier even if Pia had not. He was sure that Elijah had appeared as well but he hadn’t bothered listening to them as his ears only caught the sound of his sister’s steady, comforting heartbeat. “Don’t you have somewhere to go?”
“Just do me a favour: don’t ruin the couch.” Rebekah huffed, despite smiling at the pair, and sauntered out of the manor to leave them in peace. Elijah’s text message had made it very clear that Kol was once again causing trouble. Rebekah really wasn’t surprised anymore.
“Our siblings are incredibly difficult to manage at times like this.”
“Do not forget that they brought us back together… as they always seem to.”
Klaus rose up to take her lips in a slow kiss that left her reeling. Her head was buzzing as he released her mouth, a sigh leaving her as her lips were left tingling from his affection. “I do not want to talk about them.”
“No?”
“No…” He whispered back to her and sat up properly so he could nip at her lips. His hands trailed up her spine as Pia let him do as he pleased. His tongue ran down her jaw to her jugular. She heard a hiss as his fangs released and Pia willingly cocked her head to the side. Her twin took her offering gladly and his teeth pierced into her skin. It wasn’t the same as feeding from a human, but it felt completely erotic and fulfilling to drink from his mate. His wolf howled in his head as he rocked his hips against hers in a steady rhythm. His body hummed with anticipation as his mouth filled with her blood. Pia pushed him back harshly when she felt him not slowing down and she glared down into his amber eyes.
“You’re mine, Niklaus.”
“I am yours.” Their lips met in a messy kiss, Pia tasted her own blood and growled in response. Red stained their mouths and dripped down their chins as Pia bit into Klaus’ plush bottom lip to feed from him too. “I want you, Pia…” Klaus was breathless as he pulled away and stared at his twin breathless.
“I know, Niko…”
“Let me have you. Let me show you how much I love you. I want to possess you completely. I must feel you.” Pia carefully rose up from the couch and motioned for Klaus to stay. She unbuttoned the front of her dress and let it fall to her ankles. Pia turned slowly and stood in front of the fireplace, she kept her back to her twin and popped the clasp of her bra. The white garment fell to the floor and was soon met with matching lacy briefs. She swallowed down her nerves and turned her head over her shoulder to catch her brother’s eye.
“You may feel me, but I need time before I can let you have me completely.” Klaus understood that she was still frightened because of the recent events and nodded but remained where he was on the sofa. His eyes scanned her body and found it to be just as perfect as he had remembered. Pia silently lowered herself to her knees on the soft rug in front of the mantel and stretched out on her side, her eyes still focused upon the flames. The orange fire seemed to light up her pale skin and Klaus took her silence as an invitation to finally approach.
Pia found herself tensing as she propped her head up with her left hand and allowed her right arm to lie down the side of her body. Klaus knelt down behind her and let his fingers ghost up from her ankle to her where her arm rested on her hip. He tickled her fingers lightly and then carried on his journey to her neck; his hand cupped her chin and he brought her head back to capture her lips with his own. Klaus left three soft kisses on her lips which made her eyes water from the adoration that she felt pouring off him in waves; Klaus pulled away and removed his shirt, throwing it over his shoulder carelessly. He gently took hold of her hips and rolled onto his back so that she was sitting above him once again.
“I’m yours to explore.” Nik whispered up at his sister as she examined his bare chest. Pia bent her head down and kissed each bird that was tattooed into his skin before tracing her tongue over the feather that was on his shoulder. A smile graced her face as she remembered sketching the ‘birds of a feather’ image whilst they were travelling through England one year.
“Tell me you are mine.” Pia whispered against his skin softly.
“I am yours.”
“Again.” She moved her head up so that she could feel his lips brush against hers when he spoke those three words that sent chills down her spine.
“Again.”
---
Pia found her little brother in his room. He was lying on his bed with his ankles crossed over; the sound of clicking echoed around the room as he furiously typed on his mobile phone. She stood there silently and watched him carefully, whilst he had not acknowledged her presence, Pia knew that Kol knew she was there. His brow creased and he snickered a little; he glanced over at her quickly but whatever was on his phone was obviously more important.
“Are 21st Century girls all so clingy? When I swapped numbers with Kirsty I never said that I would contact her.”
“Perhaps you should stop leading them on and prostituting yourself, Kol…” He immediately dropped his phone to the floor and looked at her open-mouthed. His dark eyebrows rose up and he folded his arms as though he was offended.
“Prostituting myself?! What do you take me for, Pea?”
A common whore, Pia mentally commented.
“Do you truly want me to answer that?” Pia laughed and shut the door behind her. She carefully climbed onto his bed and rested back on to the plush silk pillows. The pain in her stomach had created a dull throbbing sensation all morning and she gently pressed down on her abdomen to try and ease the tension that was bubbling in there. Thankfully Kol was still too busy muttering to himself about her words to notice how she held herself a little less gracefully than usual. “So what is this Kirsty like?” Kol stayed silent for another moment before turning over onto his side. His brown eyes looked down at her, still holding a little bit of false contempt towards her prostitution comment.
“Brunette - at least, I think she was the one that had brown hair - green eyed and a butterfly tattoo on her right hip.” Kol seemed to pause for a second before smirking. “She also made the strangest little sounds as I bit her thigh and drank from her.”
“…and her personality?” Pia looked up at Kol expectantly and began to shake her head when he shrugged his shoulders. “See? Prostituting yourself!”
“I just wanted to taste all of the new delights of the 21st Century. I do enjoy the new fashions that women wear.”
“I bet you do.” Pia chuckled lightly as she thought of the short dresses and high heels that a lot of the girls wore these days.
“So… what is this bonding session in aid of?” Pia’s jovial expression faltered as she knew that Kol would not like the subject. It was a tough but necessary topic if Pia was going to save her relationship with Kol.
“I know you’re upset with me giving Nik another chance, and Elijah told me to talk to you about it.” Looking very similar to a teenager that had just been told they were grounded, Kol rolled his eyes, huffed and flopped onto his back.
“Of course he did. Saint Elijah just couldn’t let things lie.”
“He was right! We should have spoken of this long ago, Kol.”
“We have spoken about it before.”
“I know that… and it helped, right?”
“I suppose it did for a time.” Kol agreed sulkily and watched as their roles were reversed and Pia propped herself up to look down at him. A blonde curl dangled temptingly in front of his face and he swatted at it like a kitten. Pia carefully tucked it back behind her ear and clicked her tongue impatiently. “Alright, alright! I’m taking this seriously, I promise.” There was an undertone of sarcasm in his voice, but Pia knew that this would be the best she would get from her annoying little brother.
“I am sorry for making you feel so torn, Kol. It was never my intention. I love you so much. You are my favourite mischief-maker and my best friend. I have always stuck up for you when the rest haven’t and I shall continue to do so until I meet my true death.
“I know things have not been easy or straightforward. From my introduction to the family to being turned into vampires to being hunted by our father… but through thick and thin you have always held a special place within my heart. Without you I would have gone insane by now. I need you to help me annoy Rebekah, to help me give Elijah headaches and to keep Niko in check. I need you to make my amazingly messed up little family whole. Please don’t hate me for trying to making all of this work again.” Pia took a deep breath after her little speech and wiped the single tear that had stubbornly insisted on falling from her right eye. Her heart was pounding as she watched Kol avoid eye contact. He truly despised when she became so emotional.
“Do you have to be so soppy?” Kol’s annoyed response broke the silence. It was to be expected as Pia knew how her brother struggled to accept feelings other than anger and hunger, so she remained quiet and sat up. She faced away from him and waited. “I will always remember seeing you cry after fighting with him in the past. I will always remember wishing to do nothing more than rip out his heart when his eyes stayed on Tatia and not on the girl beside him. After everything he has done, it is hard for me to trust that he won’t dagger me without notice or break your heart once again. Our brother has always acted before he thinks of the consequences, that is his biggest fault, and I can’t stand the thought of him making you upset once again.”
Pia hugged her knees to her chest as the guilt seeped through her pores. Kol had always been there for her and she should have realised that her brother would have found her forgiveness difficult to accept. She should have spoken to him about this sooner.
“But… I cannot say I’m surprised at the pair of you. You’ve both always been idiots in love and utterly pathetic when apart.”
It started out as a little breathless laughter at first before Pia found herself being pulled into Kol’s chest as they broke out into a fit of giggles. She smacked his shoulder lightly; silently disapproving at his need to be funny in that moment.
“Kol!” She scolded as they both fell back, Pia’s head on Kol’s chest as his body shook with silent laughter.
“See? This is much better.”
“Kol… I am being serious.”
“So am I. I will try to be less protective, it will just take time.”
“You will meet someone very special one day and then you shall see how the heart can make life difficult.”
“Me? Tied down to one woman? She’d have to be truly magical for that to happen.” Pia smiled into his shirt and looked up at him with a mischievous grin.
“Perhaps I shall be your best man?” Kol almost choked as he thought about being married. No… no! That would never happen.
“Sometimes I truly think that you live in an imaginary world, Pea.”
“Better to be an imaginary world than this one. It has not exactly treated us kindly.”
“Touché.” They both fell quiet for a while before Kol piped up again. “…when exactly are you going to leave so that I can return to breaking that girl’s hopes and dreams?” Pia bit back laughter and sent a strong push to Kol’s side. He hit the floor with a loud bang and continued to lie there on his carpet whilst his mind caught up with what his laughing sister had done. When his head popped up so that Pia could only see his eyes from over the edge of the bed, Pia’s giggles stopped. They blinked at each other and their muscles tensed ready for the war that had just begun.
Pia’s screams echoed through the house as she launched a couple of pillows at her brother. She used vampire speed to exit his room but was caught on the stairs by his strong arms. His nimble fingers found all of her weak points as he proceeded to tickle her until she hit the ground.
“What on earth?” The breathless pair froze as though they had been two naughty children caught by their mother. Rebekah stood at the bottom of the stairs, a cup of tea in her grasp and a hand on her hip. They stared at her as she looked at them for an explanation. “Well?”
A smash of a cup sounded through the house as the expensive china hit the floor.
Rebekah took steady steps backwards as her siblings looked at each other with matching grins. She put her hands in front of her as a defence.
“Don’t.
“You.
“Dare.”
Girlish squeals of laughter echoed through the foyer as the pair trapped their youngest sibling and tackled her to the floor; their fingers wiggled under her ribs as they found her most ticklish spot.
For once, if someone had walked in the manor at that moment, then they would have seen three siblings having fun with each other rather than the fearsome Original vampires that they were.
Unfortunately for them, someone was watching them.
The one person that none of them had thought they would meet again.
Mikael clenched his fists as he peered in through one of the manor windows. He watched Niklaus’ twin for a few moments before silently running back through the woods when he heard one of those stupid hybrids approaching his spot.
Soon he would get his revenge on Niklaus… starting with ending his love’s life. It would be so sweet to watch his step-son fall apart at the thought of his mate being in his enemy’s grasp. Oh, the plans he had… Mikael couldn’t wait to get started.
‘One way or another, I'm gonna find you I'm gonna get you One way or another, I'm gonna win you I'm gonna get you, get you One way or another, I'm gonna see you I'm gonna meet you One day, maybe next week I'm gonna meet you, I'm gonna meet you’ --- One Way or Another by Until The Ribbon Breaks---
Light Through the Darkness: Chapter 72
Abigail wasn’t entirely sure how she made it back to her house. She wasn’t precisely aware of driving or walking, yet there she was, opening the door and calling for Cat.
“Midnight,” she whispered into the fluff around his neck, smiling as he purred. “I think midnight is more than enough time for someone to realize and correct their error, don’t you?” Holding him away from her, so she could see his face she nodded and let him down. “I need a bath.”
Releasing Cat to go about his business, Abigail was humming as she went to prepare a well deserved bubble bath. She didn’t notice her mother’s book flipping open and the writing becoming clearer.
Ric found Damon surrounded by broken glass in the darkness of the dining room and sighed.
“I’m guessing that you didn’t manage to calm Abi down,” arms crossed he watched as his friend stood up, looking shocked at whatever had happened that created the magnitude of disaster surrounding him. When his eyes flashed to meet Ric’s, he soothed whatever fear might have reared to the surface at the ungodly noise that hit whenever Abigail released her pent up irritation with the man standing before him. “John took Jenna home - I told her that the chandelier has been showing signs of disaster for a while.” And Andie was off to do whatever she did when she wasn’t having sexy playdates with Damon.
“She threatened me,” Damon was still wrapping his head around what Abi had said, in that voice that was hers but wasn’t, and he wasn’t sure what the hell to do. “She said I had until midnight to release him -”
“We can’t,” Ric shook his head, thinking that would be a fuck up of massive portions after Elijah’s veiled, yet fully understandable threats to everyone that had been at this farce of a dinner party. “He’ll kill -” huffing out a long breath and scrubbing a hand through his hair. “Everyone, Damon, he’ll kill all of us.”
“Would you rather we hurt Abigail?” Biting it out, cut him almost as deeply as her words had been to him. “Do you want to - or will it be up to me, Ric?” The idea of harming her, even after he knew he’d hurt her emotionally so many fucking times before, repulsed him. It reminded him of finding out Katherine was “gone” and he was in transition - Stefan telling him that they would be a family, the three of them - that he was a monster. “I may want to protect Elena to the very fucking end,” and a glance at Ric showed that he knew that he was telling the truth. “But I won’t hurt Abigail Morgan to do it. I won’t.”
Ric felt the same flash of pain at the idea of raising any type of hand to her as well, the idea made his stomach churn and twist. “Then what do we do?”
Abigail had just wrapped her towel around her body, once she had her hair contained in another, when the doorbell chimed. Considering the people who might show up for a late night visit, she’ decided it must be Ric since she felt certain Damon Salvatore would stay far away from her after the ultimatum she’d issued.
Another chime rang through her house and she chose to go directly to the door, since Ric was clearly too impatient for her to take the time to dress.
It wasn’t Ric. It wasn’t Damon, either. No, waiting on the other side of the door, visible through the glass cut into the wood, had her yanking open the door and pulling him inside as she whispered her invitation for him to cross the threshold.
And it no longer mattered that they hadn’t gotten the time to truly know one another. No hesitation rushed through her when her fingers slid through his hair and pulled his face closer to hers, and his own arms were wrapping around her as easily as if they’d been together for centuries. As his lips touched hers, and her mouth opened in a sigh that silently screamed “finally”, a fire that she’d never imagined possible raged through her and she hardly registered the front door slamming or the speed that he used to press her back against the wall closest to them.
Ripping his suit jacket from his shoulders forced him to pull away, which gave her more than enough time to rip open that beautiful blue shirt he’d worn to dinner. And then, as their lips met again, his hands slid down her body and parted her towel before they found her the back of her thighs and lifted her, smiling against her mouth as her arms wrapped around his shoulders and he carried her to the living room sofa.
“Are you sure?” He asked, pulling away and smiling at how her wet hair was free since they’d lost her second towel when he pressed her into the sofa cushions. “We can -”
Whatever he’d been trying to say died on his lips as her fingernail trailed down his chest and met her other hand at his belt. Clearly Abigail wanted what was clearly coming, and she was more than capable of taking care of the last offensive parts of his attire. Helping her by reaching behind them by sitting back and pulling his shoes and socks free, she followed up to sitting so she could nip at his collarbone while her fingers pulled his belt open and made quick work of the button and zipper on his slacks.
Pulling away to take off his pants and underwear, his eyes toured her bare body laying before him. And Abigail felt that fire flicker hotter even before he moved back over her, his hips cradled between her thighs. She didn’t spare a moment for how strange it was that this felt so right, not as he slipped inside of her, his hands cupping her face and their eyes locked, and not as they moved together as if they’d done the same a thousand times.
Damon was staring at the completely bare floor of the cellar and wondering how the fuck Elijah had just got up and walked out without him knowing it - and felt an odd sort of relief that he was gone. Abigail wouldn’t need to be disappointed - or angry - and he had to wonder how the hell he was going to balance her happiness with Elena’s safety.
Abi was cradled against Elijah’s chest, his fingers sliding through her hair as they lay on the sofa in the afterglow of something neither of them was expecting when their evening started.
“I didn’t actually come here to -” she propped her chin on his chest so she could meet his eyes and his free hand came up to cradle her cheek, his thumb tracing her lower lip as his own lips curled into a smile that made her knees weak. “I wanted to woo you, Abigail, to prove my worthiness for your regard.” So old fashioned, so perfect that it almost hurt her to hear. “You’re worth so much more.”
“If I hadn’t wanted what just happened,” kissing the pad of the same thumb that had tortured out more bliss from her body than she could contemplate, her own smile blossomed. “I couldn’t have held back if my life depended on it.”
He hadn’t bitten her, not even when she offered her neck and practically begged him to - he simply teased his teeth against her pulse and pressed deeper inside her, bringing her over without once tasting what she was more than willing to offer him.
“You didn’t taste me,” now that they were resting and not in the thick of lust and need, she wanted to know why. “I wanted you to.”
“We have the rest of our lives for me to know every single part of you, Abigail, and while I yearn to take and give everything we both can - waiting for that, for what could come from knowing how the blood in your veins tastes while it sings to me every moment you’re close -” he swallowed and Abi felt his once satisfied member stir under her. “I can wait.”
“What if I can’t?” Said with the perfect understanding of what would happen when he drank from her, with the same need building in her that was clearly building in him, their lips met and his growl vibrated through her.
The speed that Elijah could move with was faster than Damon had ever considered using with her - from the sofa to her bedroom they moved. Sitting so she was straddling his lap, his hands pulling her hair into a waterfall over one shoulder, his lips and nose were tracing down her jaw, licking at her skin as he ran down her neck to the throbbing vein that showed just how much she wanted him.
Abi moved, her hand wrapping around his shaft and lifting her hips, she moved until he was back where he belonged - inside of her. Her hand wrapped around his neck and she tilted her head farther, holding him to her skin while he fought against what they both so desperately wanted.
“Please,” she breathed, rolling her hips so she could feel how much she wanted everything from him. “Elijah, please.”
As her hips rolled against him like the tide, his fangs descended against her skin and she sighed as they finally pierced her skin and took what she so willingly offered.
