Arslan Senki Chapter 133 Live-reaction
Right off the bat we're shown that those clouds are more than normal. Creepy as fuck.
Ohhh that's creepy—
OHHHHH THAT'S FUCKING CREEPY AND I DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT
Okay not to get fixated on weird details but why does it feel like Shapur's braids are longer here than they ever have been before. Enigma hair 😭
Arslan is not okay. The grief is so palpable here (and Narsus looks like a parent here for some reason)
And it's no wonder Arslan recognized Vahriz's swordsmanship. After all—
Chapter 1.
Chapter 133.
You see it too, right?
OMINOUS AF. Also at least Vahriz is telling them outright that this has to do with Team Zahhak, I'm not sure the other parties are getting the same courtesy. If they'd said it there'd be far less confusion (rn all the soldiers are confused to hell and back and don't know what to do) so I guess the rest of the undead warriors didn't bother saying anything.
It's unsettling to see such a serious face on Gieve. Shit's going down. The blade was so close to Kishward's head! It's a good thing Gieve stepped in. And Manuchurh's words. OOF.
He's going back to Arslan's side. Will he run into Shapur and Isfan and Kubard on the way?
Aw, the interaction is cute!
Very very 👀 that Jimsa comments on how the air doesn't smell like rain despite the clouds. Veeery interesting.
ANYWAYS THE FUCKING APES AAAAAAAAA 😭😭😭😭

Due to me being currently sick and the recent chapter making my brain riot a question popped into my head (It is also semi-important to my AU...).
How old are like the "older" marzban? (aka Kharlan, Vahriz, Sam, etc)
I imagined them to be around their middle 40s to early 50s, keeping in mind that ArSen is situated in a time were people died rather young.
(I also saw a fanart where they claimed Sam to be 45, so I guess that is where my headcanon is from.)
Has it ever been stated or mentioned in the novel?
It won't surprise you to know that this is a question (regarding Kharlan and Sam) that I've thought about before! For those two, my guesses are similar to yours. For Vahriz, we do actually have an age given in canon; he's 65. His age and experience befits his rank of Eran and I'd say he's clearly visibly older than Sam and Kharlan. The novel states that Vahriz and Bahman have been comrades-in-arms for 45 years, so that gives you some indication of how lengthy his military career has been. For reference, Bahman himself is the oldest Marzban at 62.
I went poking around to find previous posts where I'd discussed ages for Kharlan and Sam; I guessed mid-40s at most here for Kharlan and 45-50 for Sam. As you'll see in the first linked post, I personally lean towards headcanoning Sam as older than Kharlan, though not by much. Honestly, in the absence of any canon info on his age, 45 feels like it would fit for Sam.
(At the very least, he and Kharlan are confirmed to be older than 31. Kubard is 31 and he's stated to be the third-youngest Marzban after Daryun and Kishward.)
Hope you feel better soon!

A question about Hilmes...
You know, after watching Arslan Senki for like the third time, something bothers me....a lot.
How come that the generals/Marzban's don't know about Hilmes, being the son of their previous king?
Like for real, Hilmes is like 30 or something. Wouldn't the generals know who the heir to the throne was before a usurper of a brother takes it?
Eran Vahriz could have known maybe but Bahman and Irina knew. But like Sam, Kharlan knew after they saw his face, something like that.
But wouldn't Kishward,Kubard, Shapur ect know about a brown haired crown prince from their previous king?
Like these men are between 40-60 years old. How can you not know.
Didn't Hilmes live in the Capital, in the castle as crown prince? Is Hilmes like kicked out the family tree after that night by king Andragoras???
Maybe they thought that Hilmes died, that is possible but why didn't they search for the body then? I am sure you could have find bones if they thought that the prince burned away in his room.
And did you see his face? He resemblance his father and uncle (well half brothers since the mom shagged the father). The nose, the eyes, the forhead, everything.
I know Hilmes, you know, killed citizens from his own kingdom and shit. But why did they question what his motives where?
It just leaves me wondering......
Oh well, please enlighten me if you have answers

German Arslan Senki Dub rewatch
In honour of Netflix UK finally letting me have access to a German dub again. This is all in English for those interested who don’t speak German.
My first post from four years ago is here. I won’t repeat much what I already said in there regarding Voice Actors, word translation choice and dialogue, so this is more of an addtion because it all still holds up.
These are my highlights from the rewatch; I’ve mostly picked up things I think are exclusive to the German dub, but I might be wrong. Anyway, they struck me as notable:
The fact that Vahriz sometimes calls Daryun "Junge" (boy) in the German dub solidifies for me that Daryun moved to live with Vahriz pretty early on. Vahriz is probably the only person in the world who can call Daryun that.
In ep 3. random soldier #2 refers to Daryun as "Er's der Mârdhan unter den Mârdhan", which is a weird half-translation of mârdhan fu mârdhan. To a German not knowing this is a title it sounds like "He's the marten of all martens" (like that little weasel animal). Gieve in a later episode translates the whole thing “Krieger unter den Kriegern“ (warrior of warriors). They really cherry picked when and how to translate the Parsian.
Daryun even calls Narsus a bastard (proudly) while he explains how Narsus broke up the Three Kingdom Alliance five years ago. I think they call each other bastard (affectionately) at least three times on Mount Bashur.
The fact that “Denka“ sounds like German for “Thinker“ makes it sound incredibly ironic sometimes. For instance when Narsus, Elam, and Daryun all wait for Arslan to get to the answer himself like a quiz contestant contemplating the question "Who will open Ecbatana's gates from within"?
Narsus to Daryun (still angry about the whole Kahrlan’s Castle thing): Do you also need a refresher lesson in strategy?!
German Gieve Getting Kicked in the Balls: very good voice acting. I should make a compilation one day.
It’s not just the beautiful -> incomparable beauty Gieve uses, Gieve also works his way up from Kleine, to Fräulein, to Frau to get Farangis' attention. Farangis is C O R R E C T. (I believe you could translate “Kleine” as “Shorty”, and honestly if anyone calls you Fräulein nowadays and you’re not 5 years old, just punch them in the face)
This is in the original post, but too good to pass up again. Narsus, after their encounter with Hilmes in Ecbatana: “How dare he, he dared to make fun of my artistic talent, HE HAS TO DIE!”
Daryun to Hodir before he kills him: “You now belong to the angel of justice.”
Narsus to Hilmes: "I wish you wouldn't follow me. In case you didn't know, I don't place any value in your company/presence"
Arrival at Peshawar Daryun to Narsus with Alfreed: “You've been working hard. Amazing what trouble you get into when I'm not there, being banned, marriage... “
(Regarding the contents of Vahriz’ letter to Bahman) Farangis: “Lord Narsus, do you have a idea or do you want to guess?” Narsus: “Life would be so much easier if I could, but unfortunately I'm not a clairvoyant.”
(The Shindhuran Army is sinking into the broken ice) Narsus: Tja, that's the problem with frozen lakes. (Tja = one syllable to embody the whole feeling of “I told you so”)
(Regarding Rajendra) Daryun: “Narsus, I simply can't bring myself to trust this man.” Narsus: “You're not alone. I wonder what kind of deception he has in mind. Hopefully an original one.”
Gieve calls Jaswant “Katerchen“ (little tomcat)
(After listening to Elam's report) Narsus: “So, friends, of all possibilities that I took into consideration, what Prince Rajendra is doing is the most idiotic one.”
(Team Arslan are leaving Shindhura) Gieve: “What actually became of that bastard?” Farangis: “Which one?” (Gieve meant Jaswant)
Random drunk soldier: “Es ist ein seltsames Vorhaben was seine Hoheit vor hat”. (Sir you just used the verb vorhaben for the noun Vorhaben = planning to do something)
Narsus to Daryun: “I'm glad we appointed Lucian as State secretary. In comparison to you he actually does his work.”
Narsus regarding Zaravant's attitude: “I can't blame him, from his point of view the prince is advised by questionable people. And yes, that includes me.”
Zaravant, after almost getting killed at Chassum: “You could have just moved on...” Narsus: “Yes and our evening would have been far more relaxing.”
(Arslan practice session with Daryun) Arslan thinking: “He's strong. I just need to use all my might” (Arslan, pls, ???)
Narsus to Arslan (in the tent in ep. 22): “I look forward to my appointment. How about I paint a portrait of Daryun? I'll call it ‘Quiet before the Storm’“
Kishward at Peshaward, I guess.
In conclusion, aside form the odd choice of using both “Hoheit“ and “Denka“ interchangeably and inconsistantly, I really like the German dub and I’m grateful it exists.

Neat freak Daryun = headcanon accepted.
You might be interested to know that he and Narsus did meet when they were children in canon, so your headcanon is right on the mark there. Book 14 makes mention of the fact that they’ve been friends for 25 years, so they met when Daryun was around 7 years old and Narsus was around 6. There’s a really amusing scene in that book where they recall how when they were 9 or 10 they scared the palace attendants by covering themselves in black cloth and jumping out of the darkness shouting “I am the Snake King!” (they got told off by Vahriz, lmao).
For the ask game. May I request 13,17 and 18 for Daryun? If you haven’t done it already. 🩷
Thanks for the ask!! (The game is here is anyone's curious)
13. Your favorite friendship they have: a tie between Narsus and Arslan. For Arslan I see Daryun as a big-brother-mom-friend type and with Narsus it's more of a bickering-besties type relationship, yknow? I love how everyone can be like "wow, Narsus' plans are so cool and brilliant" and Daryun will come in with a "Are we talking about the same person? This asshole? Are we sure he's cool??". Like, that's just the dynamic they have in my head and I love it. Also they were friends when they were younger and I love that.
17. What do you think their first word was? Hmm, not sure actually, I haven't ever thought of that. I can't even remember if they mention who his mother was in the manga but I want to say it was a generic "mama". Or it could be something super patriotic, not sure.
18. How do you think they were as a kid? (Like, were they shy, noisy, wild, etc): a neat freak that hated going outside of his routines. Very disciplined as well. I hc him to have some sort of neurodivergency as well so the routines probably helped him. He was probably terrible at planning things out though and was easily confused by all the court manipulations he probably faced climbing the ranks as he grew up. He was a very responsible, serious kid and people praised him for being mature. Also, I hc that he met Narsus pretty young as well and they were friends as kids.
Thanks again for the ask! Have a nice day :)

S1E17: The Duel Before the Gods
I type these as I watch; bonus points if you spot the scenes that made me hit caps lock stan Daryun.
This one’s long. But like. a lot of shit just went down. so I’m not apologizing for it.
LET'S GET READY TO RRRRUUUUUUUMBLLLE
I'm so hyped to watch Daryun kick seven kinds of ass
Daryun: dude, I only answer to Arslan. how have you not picked up on that yet, it's my whole thing. Rajendra: Arslan, please. I love my kingdom and want to protect it. Please help me. Daryun: oh goddammit -sigh- i'll get my sword
-- idk about everyone else, but I could watch Daryun sharpen his sword all night
-- like, I get righteous shivers whenever Daryun swears fealty, someone explain to me what the hell those feelings are
-- "we have no choice but to unchain [scary guy's name?]" uh... excuse me?
-- eep! he's got red eyes!
-- Arslan has more composure and grace than most of the adults.
-- Tonight, in a DUEL before the GODS, two champions face off to decide the future of Sindhura! Only one can triumph! In the red corner, we have the infamous Black Knight of Pars - the one, the only, DAAARYUUUUUUN! And in the blue corner... JUST A PILE OF ANGER AND MUSCLES the size of a FUCKING BARN
-- jesus, is this guy human? Daryun isn't scared. Can I say one more time that I love the way Daryun completely ignores shit-talking?
-- FIRST BLOOD TO DARYUN
-- fuck, jesus christ, what the fuck? Captain Toenails landed one on Daryun? oh god oh fuck oh god oh fuck
-- OH, SO HE'S IMMUNE TO PAIN, GREAT. GREAT.
-- ...holy shit, Arslan -- i'm backing it up to capture this moment, holy shit
Arslan: If Daryun is killed because he took up your fight, I swear upon the gods of Pars, I will take your head and the head of that monster and hang them from your castle gates!
-- holy shit, Arslan
-- King K is really unimpressed with Gadhevi, huh?
-- kill it with fire? -- shit, Daryun doesn't even have a sword -- and he just fijnished that monster with the SECOND sword that he actually DID have this whole time? -- Daryun took that dirty beating as a tactical move? -- OH MY GOD
-- (i love when shows acknowledge and execute the distinction between a strategist and a tactician)
-- oof, yeah Arslan, I need a minute too. my heart is racing. deadass thought i was gonna faint like a dainty court lady
-- and it's time for Prince Poopypants to throw a tantrum. fun. cursing the gods and everything. -- and threatening the king. High treason. great. good move, guy. you dumbass. -- what. a. clusterfuck.
Gieve: can we never leave anywhere peacefully?
-- buddy, you have been chased out of so many bedrooms by irate husbands, you have no room to be complaining
-- Jaswant?! Saving Arslan because he's honorable?! OH I LOVE HIM, can we keep him?
Daryun: CUT THE SHIT, RIGHT NOW. Anyone who's got a problem with that can fight me next ARE WE CLEAR? YOU WANNA GO? No, I didn't think so. Daryun: ...get your shit together.
-- aaawwwgh, fuck, a sad parallel between Daryun and Jaswant (the losses of Vahriz and Mahendra). We need to adopt Jaswant.

Canon novel-details that were not depicted in the anime/manga
(long post ahead as I translate this directly from the novels ouo)
Narsus hated the confinements of the palace. He prefers living a life of freedom, only, Andragoras refuses to let him go. For the king views his intelligence a great asset whose values rivals to that of priceless treasures. Left with nil choices, Narsus could only remain within the palace.
Two years later, Pars settled down onto a stable economy. Daryun became a knight, and Narsus a civil servant with a reputable name. Pars Era 317, Andragoras sent Daryun to escort an officer to Serica on a mission. From that on, Andragoras became lax with his rule and devalued politics, therefore his officers, as well as members of his court, became more brazen with their illegal behaviour.
When the hour came, the stress on Narsus became too great to bare. He searches vehemently for evidence signifying the official’s corruptions, and illegal money gained from abusing their positions. For not only did the officials accepted corrupt money, but they were also found not guilty for their crimes. They taxed the citizens until they bled, and should the citizens fail to pay their high tax money, this resulted in the confiscation of their lands. After Narsus has managed to gather all these evidences, he petitions for Andragoras to bring them to justice.
Angry and afraid, the officials sent assassins after Narsus, albeit to no avail. 4 out of 8 assassins were tricked and killed by Narsus, 2 other suffered heavy injuries and 2 escaped. In the end the officials decided to change their plans and frames Narsus for creating fake evidence against them to King Andragoras. As a result, Narsus was stripped of his title and he returns to his lands, Daylam.
Daryun returned from Serica to see his friend banished and gone, shocked and upset that he would never see his friend again.
When Narsus left the palace, he also left a letter meant for Andragoras. According to the Grand Vizier Vahriz, and Daryun’s uncle, it was entirely unnecessary. But Narsus criticized the king’s behaviour on poorly valuing politics and permitted his generals to execute corrupted schemes. he also demanded Andragoras to free the people from heavy taxes and employ them to take charge of underground waterways in order to denude more employment for the people.
“My dear King! Please open your eyes and look at the state of your country! If only your Majesty is not blind to the ways of your men, it would be the country’s greatest fortune!”
Andragoras tore Narsus’ letter apart, and orders him to be hunted down. However, Vahriz pleaded on Narsus’ behalf, but in the end, Narsus must leave Pars forever and surrender his lands to Andragoras. However, Narsus took his exile with optimism and viewed it as a blessing. He retreated to the mountains, and thus spent his days reading, painting, and studying...

Someone on Reddit mentioned how they think Kharlan's head could be in one of the jars, and when I say I haven't stopped thinking about it since... because imagine if Zandeh sees that. Imagine if we get an undead Kharlan. If it prompts some Hilmes guilt I'm all for it but I really don't want my sweet puppy boy to see that!
Anyway, let's talk head jars. If you remember back when I first had the horrible realisation that the two jars whose contents we can see into contained the heads of Shapur and Vahriz, you may remember that my working theory was that the six jars contain the heads of the Marzbans and Eran who died or went missing during/shortly after the Battle of Atropatene. But Kharlan's head could certainly have been gathered by Team Zahhak at a later date (the sorcerer labelled as Ghundi was watching from a tree when Kharlan died).
It also crossed my mind recently that maybe not all the jars are full yet. Perhaps they'll take Andragoras's soon. Maybe that's why a mage is appearing in front of Isfan and Kubard right now.
My hope is that I can get a firmer grasp on Team Zahhak's magical abilities before the series ends. As we get closer and closer to the conclusion, it seems like we'll be seeing more of them as they get more directly involved with the plot. I will extrapolate whatever I can from the manga because the novels really didn't go into it much. I'm currently wondering whether they need the dead body of a person in order to take their form. Previously, I wondered whether they can mimic someone who is alive and just need to touch them to acquire their form (we see Ghundi, the one who impersonates Husrab, locating Husrab as Ecbatana falls, but it's worth noting that he also knows of Husrab's fate... did he collect Husrab's head at that time?).
I'm not convinced that what we're seeing with Shapur is a simple impersonation rather than something more sinister (undead/came-back-wrong Shapur puppeted by sorcery) but who knows. Maybe this is the beginning of the tranformation and Arakawa's drawn it like this to make clear that it's the result of sorcery. The upcoming chapter should make that clear.

Chapter 132!
My only thought through out was:
What. The. Fuck.
in varies volumes and emotions. (If you actually want to read some synposis and thoughts, I recomend @tired-reader-writer & @innerchorus posts for that!)
SO let's get straight to my AU thoughts (luckily my brain IMMEDIATLY jumped into creative mode)!
this is defenitly a very Chabik heavy one (bc Vahriz)
after fighting Farahs army and crushing most of them Chabik, Irsia, Mehrin and Azar go to the place in front of the tower after hearing of Andragoras death
maybe some reaction from the soldiers, ladies-in-waiting and Tahamenai?
they follow Prince Arslan from afar a little
Mehrin (Azars mom) splits in search of Team Hilmes (or more specific Saam 👀) (I will not elaborate on this lol)
So when they enter courtyard and see Vahriz they at first freeze
but when he attacks Arslan, Narsus and Daryun, Chabik is a little faster than Daryun and fights his brother
he comands Azar to get the three out of there and he will take on Vahriz
Chabik can't die again so that would be one heck of a fight...
I am hyped and scared for the next chapter!
Reminder: This will be updated every chapter.
#arslan senki#the heroic legend of arslan#maaren au#firelight au#blood upon snow#chabik (oc)#azar (oc)#irsia (oc)#mehrin (oc)#ugh the way i can clearly picture Chabiks face twisted in horror#also I haven't told this but Vahriz is around 10 years older than Chabik#so if Chabik would be alive in the current timeline he would be around late 40s to 50

Headcannon: Being Arslan's older sister pt.2
Part 1 here
Written like this - You
Written like this - Arslan
Written like this - Vahriz
• So here you were, hiding from Arslan in hide and seek. The softly, high pitched:' Ready or not, here I come!' Was just adorable.
• This was the 35th round of hide and seek of today, Arslan couldn't get enough of it.
• Seeing a small child with white hair running around on his tiny feet, turning everything around in search of his older sister was just the cutest.
• Even upon asking, the guards and servant would move away so the young prince could search.
• A middle aged Vahriz, who was training a 17 year old Daryun saw the child running and upon asking the prince answered with 'searching'
• The young, 10 year old princess of Pars ran around, searching for a difficult yet simple hiding spot. She found one in the court yard behind a giant statue. She hid in the shadow as held her breath.
• On the tiles where small and fast footsteps heard. With a bit of panting, the young prince searched around.
• He came dangerousily close to where the princess hid but ran away and ran into a corridor of the palace.
• You, quickly ran out your hiding spot and went into the opposite direction your younger brother went. But your plan back fired when Arslan saw you
• 'I see you sis!' 'You have to catch me Arslan!'
• Safe to say, the yard was filled with laughter as you were chased by your younger brother.
• For a child of 5, he sure can run fast.
•Running out the yard, you to yelled to get out your way as the chased still went on.
• 'Good day Vahriz and Daryun!' 'Hold her Vahriz!' 'No!'
• Vahriz, who was blocking Daryun's sword just watched the childeren play and passed them with speed.
• Passing in the halls of vases, Arslan sped up and held you aroudn your waist, the sudden weight made you lose your balance and push over several vases.
• Laughing he said 'I caught you'
• You laughed as you two saw the disaster you two created. The smooth, white tiles of the floor were cracked. The vases of Serica were bashed and there was dirt and fallen flowers everywhere.
• Several maids and guard came to look at the scene. Only to see two childeren laughing their stomaches away in the dirt.
• 'That's enough hide and seek for today' Vahriz said as he helped the childer up.
• 'I think so too' 'More!'

Character Notes for L’inverno/”Winter” Series, aka that Arslan Senki figure skating AU that nobody needs.
L’inverno/”Winter” series currently includes: i. Fire and Ice | AO3 | Arslan/Elam ii. Untitled snippet | Arslan/Elam iii. Our Own Rhythmnals | AO3 | Alfreed/Layla
(Current notes only include the characters mentioned in the above fics. Might add more when I write more!)
Alfreed Zottī (singular form of Zott, which is the Arabic term for gypsies) | Age: 18
hated ballet because of how restricted it is; enjoys jazz dance class a lot more
an average skater but slowly progressing to the top 20 in the senior division
she started growing out her hair after Layla complimented on it
among her rink mates, she’s closest to Farangis, whom she looks up to like an older sister
Layla Kassem (“charitable, generous”) | Age: 16
being taller than the average girls her age and having an androgynous physique, she’s been teased a lot as a child; feels insecure about her body
hated ballet because all the girls in her class are the typical thin, ballerina types and she felt gangly and awkward, but she kept at it because she wanted to be a better dancer/performer
well-rounded skater
Farangis Avesta (“principle”, “foundation”, “fellowship”) | Age: 21
was in pair skating with Aghriras but she suggested they split after she found out that Aghriras had been dealing with their losses by drinking excessively and skipping training sessions
currently in her third season skating in the singles discipline; ranked within top 10
very kind and protective of the younger/junior skaters
Narsus Shahidi (“witness”, “martyr”) | Age: 28
artistry is his first priority, obviously; best known for his odd choice of music and costumes
used to choreograph his own programs; used to ranked within top 10
nearly had a few fall-outs with the skating federation because of his fearless and outspoken nature, but he’s well-liked and respected by fellow skaters and popular among fans
Alfreed is his only student; his full-time occupation is choreographer
Daryun Nariman (“faith and brightness”, “brave, hero”) | Age: 29
his uncle Vahriz (an Olympic athlete back in the days) is the one who introduced him to skating
retires at the peak of his career because he wants to nurture younger skaters
he coaches Elam and Arslan; is close friends with Shapur, who coaches Isfan and Gieve
known to be a meticulous skater who put techniques ahead of everything else; his programs were full of challenging jumps and moves, but the simple elegance took people’s breath away; used to ranked within top 10
Arslan [taking suggestion for surname] | Age: 16
comes from a wealthy family that doesn’t approve of/support his career as a figure skater
Daryun has taken him under his wing during his junior days when Arslan was in a slump during which he was about to give up because he felt like his skating is going nowhere
his skater focuses on interpretation/performance over risking challenging elements
how low self-confidence and insecurity often affects his performances
rink mates with Elam, Alfreed, Isfan, Gieve, and Farangis
Elam [taking suggestion for surname] | Age: 15
comes from a modest family that can barely support him through his skating lessons
winning numerous junior competitions had earned him enough prize money to keep skating
looks up to Daryun’s elegant techniques and Narsus’ quirky but heartfelt artistry
good with technical elements; not so good with expressing himself on the ice; always calculating points and deductions in his head while he skates, which causes him to lose focus sometimes

I’m happy to see Hilmes without the scar!
I also really loved that moment because you know that there’s no way that Hilmes believes Bodin will come back to cause trouble, and Guiscard knows it too but can’t really say anything because he’s the one who sent Hilmes there to deal with Bodin in the first place. It’s definitely a wise decision to leave Sām in charge of the fortress (even though it means that he won’t be an active part of the plot for a while) since he’s renowned for his skill in defending castles. Zabul is an asset that Hilmes doesn’t want to give up, in particular because right now it gives him an excuse to keep the army he has raised away from the Lusitanian command.
I agree that Sām definitely looks younger in the anime. The manga made him look especially gaunt when he was recovering from his injury and that kind of aged him but even without that I’d place him as looking older than his anime self. The novels don’t confirm how old he is but 50 seems like a good guess. He’s not likely to be as old as Vahriz, who is 65 (the position of Erān seems likely to be given to someone with many years of experience) but I’d say Sām is probably one of the oldest of the Marzbans otherwise; his expertise has been built up over the years and that’s why he held the important position of being in charge of Ecbatana’s military affairs (along with Garshasp).
also let me just tell you that you should totally post that drawing of Sām, there’s nothing wrong with having a fave and he needs more love!
I have a new drawing of Säm but I feel like my mental health would begin to look suspicious if I keep posting only drawings of him, so here’s Arslan and Hilmes. Well Hilmes if Andragoras had not burnt him, that is (how can they be of the same family, did Andragoras burn Hilmes because he was going to be so much more handsome than him ?? 😂) : I didn’t know how to draw his burnt side so I just let it like this. Btw Hilmes is so cool in the last chapter (71), I really like his mischevelous smile when he says to Guiscard that he left most of his soldiers at Zabul (SHITTY move though because I’m sure that we won’t be seeing Sam before a long time and I’m sad- well I’m sure it’s Sam himself that suggested to Hilmes to stay guarding Zabul but anyway I’m still pouting). Btw has anyone noticed how much younger he looks in the anime compared to the manga (around 10 years younger 😂, like in the anime he looks around 40 but in the manga it would be more like 50)?
There’s still a lot of flaws in my drawings but well, I’ll get better little by little, and it may be cool afterwards to see the improvement achieved, compared to the first drawings.
I suck at colours, I tried on Arslan but I am not satisfied with the result 😒 so I didn’t put colors on Hilmes apart from his eyes. Hilmes is not burnt here so actually he doesn’t need a mask BUT I wanted to draw hands because I like to draw these, so I just put his mask in his hands 🙄
Sometimes I really feel like I’m talking like a baby because I can’t find the words in english so I just keep it simple 😂
I noticed that the fandom of Arslan Senki is quite reduced in number (for I don’t see a lot of pictures or conversations about this manga on the social media compared to other mangas, even the ones that have been over for a long time like Naruto), it’s quite sad because I really feel like this manga’s worth deserves to be more appreciated.

PARSMAS 2020 - Day 5: Animals
Title: I’m a snake, I’m a snaaake!
Characters: little Daryun and Narsus, told off by Vahriz
Rating: G
Art by me, @colleyuriko. My problem is... Have I seen this before, or have I wanted to draw this for so long I feel like I’ve seen this fanart before!? I don’t even know where the idea came from anymore, was it canon?
If somebody does know if they have also seen this before please let me know OTL. If I’ve copied you’re idea I’m sorry!! This was so vivid in my head... ?
Basically Daryun and Narsus as children are being told off for mocking the Snake King Zahak, which can only bring bad luck, I figure.
