Chapter Forty-Three
Not long after Kanan contacts the Ghost, the Phantom is docking with her in open space. The two Padawans make their way easily out of the ship. The Knight carefully approaches the still sleeping Jedi Master, shaking her shoulders lightly. Keen groggily opens her eyes, peering at Kanan through her eyelashes. "How you feeling?"
"Like I got ran over by a speeder-bike. How're the kids?"
"Not bleeding, or dead, or burned, thanks to you. I contacted Ahsoka, we gotta figure out why these Inquisitors seem to always be able to find us. We're docked with the Ghost. So, c'mon." He pushes his head under her arm, helping to boost her to her feet.
Ari'abel starts to feel more awake as the two make their way for the ladder. Kanan starts down first, wanting to be on the floor in case she falls from the ladder. "Kanan, I'll be fine. I'm not made of glass, and anyway my energy is coming back."
"Right, okay. Says the woman who can barely stand."
"Ah, Can it, Dume, I'll be fine."
Kanan rolls his eyes, jumping off the final few rungs of the ladder. Keen follows directly beside him, waving at Hera and Zeb.
"I heard about what happened. I'm just glad everyone's okay," the Twi'lek says, eyeing Keen. Turning to Kanan, she adds, "She's waiting for you. Why did you have us meet you out here away from the fleet?"
Kana looks her straight in the eye, and states, "It's safer this way," before walking off down the corridor.
"Ignore Mr. Melodrama over there. We believe the Inquisitor's are able to track our Force-signatures, which is how they often find us," Keen tells them, beginning to follow Kanan. She stops, just before entering the corridor, spinning on heel to ask, "And how are the newest rebel recruits doing?"
"Rex says that their Inhibitor Chips were removed successfully, and they all seem to be adjusting well. He also said to thank you for bringing them home."
The Jedi Master nods, spinning back to the corridor, and the door that the others had entered through. The door slides open, just as Leia says, "And then there's Vader."
"What's this about good old Vadey?"
"The fact that you have a nickname for the Sith Lord who has tortured you to the point of death should be vaguely concerning," Kanan mutters, not bothering to answer her question.
Ahsoka looks over at Kanan, "You should've heard her nicknames for Dooku, and Grevious." Turning to Keen, she adds, "Kanan here seems to want to hunt down the Inquisitors."
"Can't say I can blame him."
His eyes widen, turning to look at her, surprised. "Uh...exactly. The fact remains, we can't protect our friends from Vader and his Inquisitors." He turns and addresses Ezra, while he adds, "I can barely protect you."
"I don't need protecting."
Ahsoka considers their words, looking thoughtful. "It's times like these that my Master and I would turn to someone like Obi-Wan, or Keen, or maybe Master Yoda. They always held the answers."
"Well," Ari'abel sighs, "Almost always. I know how to disguise one's Force-signature, but if the  dog's got the scent, there's not much that I know to do." Quietly, under her breath she adds, "I bet my Master would know."
"Then maybe we should ask Master Yoda," Kanan states, surely.
Keen turns to look at him, confusion skirting across her face, "We're going to Dagobah?"
Leia turns, cocking her head slightly to the side, "Why would we go to Dagobah?"
"Uh," she quickly runs her fingers through her hair. "No reason. So, Jedi Temple, right?"
"Yeah. I'll get Chopper to power up the Phantom, and get ready to leave," Kanan informs them, turning to leave the room.
Ezra's eyes drift down to his sleeve, which is still missing, seeing as it was burned off. "I think I'm gonna go change. See ya on the ship."
Ahsoka turns, her eyes meeting Leia's. "Princess, if you ever wish to know more about your father, you can always ask me, or Rex. We'd be happy to tell you stories."
Leia beams up at the Togruta, "Thanks, Ahsoka! I think I'm gonna go comm my father, Ari, I'll be on the ship on time, I promise."
"Yeah, have fun. Tell Bail, and Breha I say hello."
She waves back, dashing out of the room. "She's so much like her father," Ahsoka comments.
"Hopefully not too much. I'd really appreciate it if she chose to solve her problems with negotiation, and not violence."
"She was raised as a politician."
"Yeah. Let's hope Bail succeeded at making a negotiator at of her, and not a politician. I'm not brave enough to deal with politics."
***
The five Force-sensitives, and Chopper, make their way to their Temple destination. Walking out of the ship, Ahsoka surveys the dry landscape around her. "Ezra, you're from Lothal?"
"Yeah, this place is my home," he says, flinging his arms out. The group trek a little ways, each taking in the environment around them. Ezra leads them to three large spire rocks in the middle of an empty field. "Here it is."
"Wow, it's nicer than I would've thought, given how long it's sat abandoned," Keen mutters.
"You weren't here when they first came?" Leia asks her.
"Nah. I was busy getting better acquainted with my mate, Darth Vader."
Ahsoka merely sighs. "We just can't take you anywhere?"
"Oh, no, you can easily take me places, just don't leave me there."
Ezra points to a large circle on the ground, trying to get the group back on track, "If you, Kanan, and Keen stand here, you can use the Force to open the Temple."
"I cannot," Ahsoka tells him.
The boy freezes, whipping his head to face the Togruta, "Why?"
"Because I am no longer a Jedi. It was my choice, I left the Order. It's probably best if you four open it."
"All right then," the boy shrugs, stepping up to the circle. "Kanan? Keen? Leia?"
The other three join the Padawan on the circle, each of the Force-sensitives raising their hands, focusing solely on raising the Temple to usable height. Keen only lets her focus drop when she's sure the Temple is safely raised. "Well, new problem, new door," she hears Kanan remark.
Ari'abel smiles at him, turning to look at the astromech, "Chop, stay here, please. Keep an eye out."
Chopper grunts, bouncing up and down in response. The rest of the team ignore the droid marching straight for the door to the Temple. Once all five are through the door, the Temple slowly lowers itself back into the ground, leaving the team of Force-sensitives trapped far below ground level.
Stepping onto the Temple, Keen can feel the familiar sensation of the Force surrounding her, feeling closer to the Force than she has for a long time. She takes a deep breath, "There's just nothing like a Jedi Temple is there?"

“Vinney time choppy mannish valla vishyam viluvey maripotundi”
This dialogue from the movie aptly describes Trivikram’s attempt to narrate a faction genre story which has been explored many times before in telugu. A master storyteller sets himself apart from a normal director by exploring a subject’s depth rather than commercializing it and this depth of the factionism is what makes Trivikram the master storyteller. Trivikram has revealed prior to the release of the movie that it deals with aftermath of the war which subtly prepared the audience that it’s going to be an emotional roller coaster ride rather than a breezy entertainer which has been his mark until now. Movie starts on a high octane action sequence which is easily one of the best opening scenes of Indian films. Director uses rustic brown background to show the barren lands of rayalaseema combined with excellent shot composition and it gives a high to the audience. In the fight when the hero walks through the water a shot of the hero's step in water mixed with blood and dead body is highlight. The first song is very captivating and it’s very rich lyrically. The lines explaining the death is imminent is work of lyricist Seetha Rama Sastry and Penchal Das is nothing short of exceptional.  Composer Thaman has enriched these lyrics with a haunting composition and this song will keep you awake for many nights.
Kattelle suttaalu, Kadu mana thalli thandri, Aggi devude manaku aathmaa bandhuvudanta
As the story progresses the director has explored themes like everything happens for a reason, expectations of men and women, giving up the ego for greater good, strength of women very cleverly in the scenes. Taking up these daunting themes must have made the director tense as he has to give up many commercial elements of telugu films. Directors have attempted good themes in movies like “1” but midway they succumb to commercial element pressure and add unnecessary comedy scenes and songs but in this movie every scene and song fit perfectly except for the last song and this attempt is commendable irrespective of the outcome. Even with these serious themes not even for a minute you get bored in the movie. Trivikram yet again proves why he is called maatala mantritukudu with this movie. Every dialogue is so well written and apt. Few scenes which showcase his excellent writing skills are the hero's grandmother explaining how the problem started and took the current form and how it may affect the future generations (look for avasaram, varastvam, lakshanam and lopam dialogue), heroine explaining her expectations on the hero. One of the most idiotic dialogues ever written is in movie Businessman where hero says “yuddham cheyadam rani vadey dharmam gurinchi matladthadu” and Trivikram corrects it as “Yuddham chesey satha lenivadiki santhi adigey hakku ledu”. The one scene that had a great impact was the hero explaining himself to the heroine after she has been rescued from the villain.  In addition to the dialogues what reinforces the greatness of the scene is the way it has been shot. When the hero is explaining himself we see the image of hero and heroine in a mirror which may be symbolism for the honesty of the hero himself. Another scene where the heroine gets upset that the hero has not answered her call and explains women’s view of love and men’s view of love is also one of the finest. In fact in love men give full attention when trying to woo the women but later try to balance out other things and women feel the pinch of additional priorities.
A great movie definitely always has a great director but may not have a great actor but a great actor alone can never make a great movie without a good director. NTR is one of the finest actors of telugu be it his comic timing, diction, dance. Unfortunately the combination of Trivikram and NTR has taken years to materialize but when they came together its like a cook has the finest ingredients and tools and the dish turned out to be the best. Actor and finest actor are differentiated by the micro expressions and not the macro expressions. NTR proves why he is the finest actor with his micro expressions. His fierce eyes combined with perfect rayalaseema dialect has worked wonders. The scene where the heroine and her brother are kidnapped by the villain and the hero threatens them over the phone. Given the complexity of pulling off that scene entirely on just voice modulation, NTR makes it look easy and with his voice he sends chills down the spine. There is not a single scene which felt like he could have done better or for that matter someone else might have done better. NTR explains how rayalaseema can be different by taking a story and proposes two different outcomes based on different approaches. The way he modulates sadness in the first way in a lower voice and happiness in the second way is just superb. More than dialogue from his mouth it’s NTR’s eyes and expressions that spoke tons in the movie. Usually heroes flaunt six pack abs and that becomes a talking point but in this movie his six pack is not even in top 3 great things about his role.
Trivikram until now has directed movies almost without a strong female lead role. In every movie the heroine is mostly confined to look cute and generate comedy with her naiveness. Probably for the first time he etched out the heroine character to be someone with individuality. Pooja Hegde has done a good job in portraying the role. Director has used the heroine role to effectively steer the path of the hero in solving the problem. Heroine says the dialogue “tandaina rojuna evadana kodtadu asalu godava jaragakunda appey vaadey magaddau” and I wish this had come at some other emotional point rather than coming at a passing moment. Even though Trivikram takes the right step to show a sensible heroine he still have scenes which shows the heroine egotistically making the driver open and close car doors for her. When she is someone who can think broadly that it’s great to stop a fight rather than win a fight, it's contradictory that she has the ego that the driver has to close or open the door. Jagapthi Babu as a baddie has delivered one of his best roles in his career. As someone with ego and stuck to his old ideals portrays ruthlessness quite effectively.
Lastly Trivikram ends the movie where he shows a solution to the problem. He shows the mental strength of women and how they are much more than they are credited. Truly in India women are still not given enough credit especially in some rural villages.
Director is someone who should inspire his technicians to give great output and Trivikram has succeeded in getting great output from all the technicians in the movie. This movie will follow you even after it ends and will remain as an afterthought and especially the song I mentioned and the last bit in the climax will keep you awake at night.
