The purpose of this post is to compile a quick list of accounts confirmed to be stealing their information off of legitimate fundraisers or otherwise are shown to be taking their posts off Facebook and using it themselves. This list is intended to be a quick access point so if searched someone will see info explaining why the blog they shared from is a scam. What else to do: Alert anyone sharing the scam posts and show them it’s a scam by linking to any post that explains how.

Additionally, blogs with GoFundMe links are highly likely to be legitimate accounts who may already be verified if you check the notes of their posts. A blog with a linktree link claiming to be a GoFundMe link is not a legitimate account. Also search the username if a day old blog says their vetted/verified and don’t have a GoFundMe link.

My family is still staying in half of the church that wasn’t affected by the bombing because there is nowhere else to stay other than tents. They are limited to one small meal a day and one shower a week. They are sleeping on the floors, but no one can sleep since there is bombing everywhere around them. They use a PayPal; yet tag GoFundMe

PayPal is blocked in Palestine

They also use a popular tag to gain traction, here "art"

They somehow found small accounts out of nowhere to send them asks.

Also, I doubt leaving Rafah is $5000. Either it's basically free since there is a fuel blockage, and they walk, or it's a lot more since there is no fuel.

That's not even including the sheer urgency of leaving Rafah atm. There are airstrikes in the city. "Oh, we need to leave."
