breaks my heart how often i see people posting yoi fanart/fanfic after a long time of not engaging w the fandom say that they "know the fandom is pretty much dead". like babes i get why you'd think that but we are very much still here alive and kickin!! sure there's less of us now but i see new fanfics being posted on AO3 almost every day. not even just oneshots either, there's super elaborate multichapter fics too! people are still writing meta and drawing amazing fanart and translating interviews and doing art collabs etc etc. there's even an active discord server (maybe even more than one but i don't know about the others). that's not what a dead fandom looks like. we're LOYAL

Vanny & Vanessa [IDV x FNAF]

The FNAF HEX crossover plushies remind me of Identity V survivors, and after seeing the glamrock plushies, I decided I'd redraw the Vanny and Vanessa funko statue, but in an Identity V style and with the roles swapped, so Vanny is the one hiding, and Vanessa is the one hunting.

Vanny's design here was pretty easy to translate into the style of an Identity V survivor, as all I had to do was add button eyes and further pronounce the stitching on the costume. If this was a crossover skin, I'd say Faro Lady would be a good match (just add an accessory that changes the ability effect from misty blue to glitchy red).

As for Vanessa, I took her in the direction of some of the really old hunter designs, because some of the older hunters used to look like ball jointed dolls. You can find traces of this deprecated design characteristic in some of Leo's old B tier skins, as well as in the match faction select screen, and in the splash art for both Leo and Joker. I also used the version of Vanessa that we see in the promotional material (the Protect poster, the funko statue, and the other promotional art). If this was a crossover skin, I'd probably give it to Geisha, as there aren't enough female hunters to find a better match and the two forms that are required of any Geisha skin can be the form used on the promotional art for one, and the model from the game for the other.

Overall, I think it turned out really well.
