Had a pretty fascinating @Uber pickup yesterday. Picked up a professor for a long ride from her aunt's house. She told me her aunt's father was the third Secretary General of the United Nations!! His name is U Thant..he served from 1961-1971. While JFK was president, Haile Selassie was emperor of Ethiopia, Vietnam War and all other things you can imagine. He negotiated with Fidel Castro at the U.N. to prevent a war with the U.S. after the Bay of Pigs. She said this photo of him with Fidel was at the U.N. and the only time weapon was allowed inside..because...Fidel. Told me politics is in the family and basically runs in the blood when you grow up around it. Especially on that level. We talked about tge tom foolery that's currently going on in the White complete mockery of people who do this shit for real. You really never know who's sitting in front of you out there.
