Tread carefully, Anon... Once I start yapping, I can't stop (jokes on you tho, I love yapping. Let's go)

I assume you mean aus for HSR specifically? I've got a lot more for genshin, but to stop myself from going on massive tangents, I'll just stick to HSR. I'll keep them all as summaries and go into more depth if there's any interest. Ok here we go:

Chimera Yanqing has kinda become my whole thing now, but I've never actually mentioned the other characters that I've also made chimera forms for. Namely Jing Yuan.

He doesn't really have any lore...? Unlike Yanqing, I was too focused on making him look pretty, which is easy because it's Jing Yuan. I'll make an update if I add anything more to his lore, cause I'd hate to just leave him unfinished forever. I do have a chimera Yunli au too, which I'll also save for another time. (Also keep in mind that he has wayyyy more fur than what I've shown. It just would've made his actual form unclear. He is very, very fluffy, canonically)

Mara-struck Yanqing (aka How the general ate the cabbage). Made a whole fic for this one, the plot is in the pudding, and by pudding I mean my ao3 lol. Instead of deflecting Jingliu's ult, Yanqing is instead killed and mara-stricken, and everything falls apart from there. Keeping it vague since it's still in progress. As of writing this, I'm three chapters in, so check it out if you're interested <3

Band au. I actually forgot about this one until I went through my list. Basically, It's a modern au where the high cloud quintet were a huge band back in ye olden days of the mid 1980s until their downfall, where the lead singer (Baiheng) is killed in an accident, triggering a series of unfortunate fates for 3 of the 4 remaining members. Jing Yuan is the only member still working in the industry and adopted Yanqing roughly 20 years after the the HCQ's fallout. One day, though, after years of no contact, Blade comes back into Jing Yuan's life, seeking refuge from law enforcement, and it all tumbles out of control from there after Jing Yuan accepts. The rest of the story would follow a very suspicious Yanqing wondering what the deal is with his dad's weird new boyfriend, and eventually reuniting the 4 remaining members (getting the band back together, as Phineas would say). There is SO much lore for this one, but it would take up this entire post to explain, so I'll probably just make it into its own post (with designs ofc). Tbh I haven't done as much work on this one as the others simply because I just don't know that much about music? Zel does though, so if I ever come back to it, I can go to him as a consultant.

Kind of an odd one, but I'm including it since it sorta counts, and I've become pretty fond of it over time. Mom Lumine au(s) Xiaother being Yanqing's dads is one of my favorite little crack aus. This au is the brainchild of imagining Yanqing as Lumine's child instead, but me as the author not enjoying xiaolumi as much. Thus, this was born. There's not really a story? Just a bunch of loosely put together concepts with multiple potential narratives that I find fun. Most of the time I default Childe as Yanqing's bio dad. In a weird way, it makes sense in my head? Yanqing resembles Lumine and uses a sword, and has that same go-getting, battle-hungry attitude as Childe, with all the knock-outs to boot. I mainly imagine chilumi as this interstellar crime duo; the Bonnie and Clyde of space, if you will. Because, honestly, if Yanqing's parents are ever to be revealed, would it not be the funniest thing for them to turn out to be criminals? I think it's hilarious, because Yanqing himself would be mortified.

Guardian Blade/Stellaron Hunter Yanqing au. These names are kinda lazy cause I usually don't make official titles for them unless their a fic, which this one happens to be. Here, Yanqing is an abomination of abundance, and as my interpretation usually goes, the only person who knows about this is Jing Yuan. Him and one other - blade, who was confided in the secret shortly after Jing Yuan had taken baby Yanqing in. Jing Yuan made Blade promise that, should the truth ever be uncovered and Jing Yuan punished, Blade is to take Yanqing and protect him. And years down the line, when the truth does finally reveal itself, Blade fulfills his promise. Theoretically, Yanqing would then join the stellaron hunters, albeit unenthusiastically. I haven't actually made any plans for that concept outside of a single one-shot. I still need to finish the actual fic first lmao.

Mara-struck Jing Yuan au. Probably the least original one I have to offer, because there's nothing particularly unique about it aside from one little twist I added that I think differentiates it, and that's that Yanqing doesn't actually kill Jing Yuan, or vice versa. Instead, Jing Yuan, in his current state, attacks everyone and everything except for Yanqing, and actually goes out of his way to keep Yanqing away from danger. The way I rationalize this (and this is me stretching the mara lore a LOT) is that Yanqing is so important to Jing Yuan that he creates a sort of blind spot to the mara when present; he is both innately precious and harbors only positive memories in Jing Yuan's mind, so in a way, he retroactively contradicts the way mara-struck!Jing Yuan would normally perceive him, seeing Yanqing as something to protect rather than attack (i hope that made any sense </3). This would probably never actually happen in canon. I just really like the idea of Jing Yuan's love for his son being so strong that it stays with him even after he's gone mad and can no longer remember what Yanqing means to him.

Progenitor au. Saved this one for last because it's been occupying my entire brain for the past few days. It's based on Dillongoo's Progenitor Albedo series, and by based, I mean it's just the same au, same universe and everything, but HSR. I won't go into the details because I'm planning to make it its own dedicated post as well, but I think its safe to say its becoming my favorite au out of all of these. I already have some designs and original lore cooked up, so hopefully I can post about it soon.

I think that's all of them? Debatable if some of these even count as aus, but who cares. I hope you enjoyed my rambles and found my ideas interesting enough to read through. I'm hoping to eventually give them some more life and make actual content with them.

Firstly, I don't do outlines.

I KNOW THAT'S BAD BUT I JUST DON'T

What I usually do is word vomit whatever idea I have for a fic into a notes file.

For example! Here's a little random nonsense I just copied verbatim from my notes file that might look familiar!

Tango and Z in sky, blue cracks, Z decides to drop a container with info and his phone number into the rift. He wants to talk to the hybrids, maybe he’s some sort of researcher, he went AWOL from the biotech Institute, something like that. But he is human. Then, tango finds it, or it is brought to him, because he is a direct aid to doc in the labs. Tango ends up deciding to call Z, and they end up becoming really good friends, but only over the phone. Have some fun stuff, where both Z and tango are getting a crush, but how can you crush on someone you’ve never even seen? Tango is freaking out, because he’s not the type of hybrid that can pass as human. he knows he’ll never be able to meet Z face to face. But Z is a little more determined that he gives him credit for. Also have X be a side character in the labs, voidwalker, something like that! Maybe Z is an AWOL scientist, and scar, picked him up to work in his hot guy lab, with cub.

This is the blurb that spawned the Zedango arc in TTSBC.

In case you can't tell I use the dictation function in notes because like 90% of the time I have ideas while I'm driving so I'll just tell my phone to write down whatever I'm thinking and then talk it out

So yeah! I do this, which I dunno is kinda like an outline? I do it for more or less all of my fics.

As far as other stuff, I think the best advice I can give about being a "better writer", which has to do with your question about 'jumping into plot' is to know about your characters and your world , even if you don't plan to share that information in the piece you are writing, or even like, ever.

It's the way you make your characters feel like people. I was actually talking about this with @honeylashofficial not to long ago! You should know why your characters make the choices they do, even if that information never comes up. You should know what they like and dislike and why, if they have traumas then how would those traumas affects them in small daily ways?

Jimmy in TTSBC grew used to being threatened for his wings, so now he has a love-hate relationship with them.

Tango spent a long time without a truly safe place to sleep as a child, so now he has insomnia because he has an internalized fear of falling asleep/being vulnerable.

Zed was treated very poorly at his previous workplace, and he had a terrible experience where his professional lifes work was torn to shreds in front of him, so his self-esteem is very low, and he tends to be very self-deprecating even in a joking fashion.

Cub has sensory issues that severely impact his mood because of his warden hybrid traits, so he typically keeps himself very low energy as a baseline to avoid seeming like he has mood swings.

Even little stuff like what characters notice about their surroundings! Again in TTSBC, Jimmy pays close attention to the weather and the sky, Scott notices people features and expressions, Cub has more detailed thoughts about sounds than he does about sights, stuff like that!

Also I'm gonna give ya the piece of advice no one wants to hear when they're just starting. Just write. Write a TON.

Write even if you only have half an idea. Write even if you think it's gonna be bad. Write if you have even the slightest smallest bit of a motivation to do so, just WRITE WRITE WRITE.

And I will say while I could just be one of the lucky ones, I have been posting on various fanfic websites since I was 13. And in all that time I can count on one hand the amount of hate/negative comments I have received. Over a DECADE of writing and posting and I’ve written and posted A LOT and I have only ever been met with kindness, excitement, and encouragement.

Also, the delete button exists for a reason. You curate your experience on these websites. Especially on A03, with the ability to reply to comments, you can make very clear very quickly what sort of comments you want, which ones you don't, and the vast vast vast majority will be people who are excited about your work and want to encourage you!

If you need a mood booster or some encouragement, you can find my old old stuff on FF.net under the same penname, Amethystfairy1. Just promise you won't come back over here and send asks laughing at me for how bad those stories are, ok? 😆

My point is, you learn best by doing. As you write you will get a feel for your characters, for how they interact and react, for what your specific writing style is going to be and what you enjoy writing the most. And write what you enjoy! Of course you should stretch your writing style, but also make sure you never feel like you're slogging through your writing, especially if it's for fun or creative!

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND DOING A WRITING CHALLENGE!

Stuff like Whumptober, Febuwhump, Novemcomfort, AU-gust, or different fandom weeks that come up, you can find them all over tumblr! Try to participate in one of those and get in as many days as you can! It'll make you write a lot in a short period of time, and you won't have time to overthink it, which I believe is really helpful for finding your writing style and getting comfortable with writing and posting content! It'll also give you a connection to a community of other writers who are participating, especially if you plan to post your updates to tumblr like I do!

Whatever you do on your writing journey, I hope it brings you much joy, fun, and creativity! You'll create something beautiful, I just know it! 💖

Probably the first batch from everything-else-but-Inktober 2020. I decided to drop the idea of messing with inks and straight up exercised on things I usually fail at / wanted to improve. The whole challenge was, well, a challenge. I remember struggling from day 1 to 30 because I'm terrible at studies, I tend to filter and filter and filter and... But I like the results!! Also this comm I did for @n7viper that made me say "oh, you can handle this" This was quite the experience ;; thanks again for letting me work on this dude <3 I started with a greyscale then added colors, which is a technique I used some times and like, I was sure it was challenging because it's super hard to balance everything out, but when things came out exactly how I wanted them to be?? Woah, alright Picasso, slay

1.) How many works?

On my current AO3 it's 22 (+1 anonymous post) if we're counting old old fics probably ~30

2.) Total word count?

Currently 294,024 😩 and that's not counting the 10k in wips I have rn. Idek how that's possible it hasn't been a year yet

3.) What fandoms do you write for?

Right now (and probably for a long long while) it's just COD. Specifically MW reboot, but I've thought about dabbling in black ops or wwii

4.) Top 5 fics by kudos?

5.) Do you respond to comments?

Mostly no. I'm too paranoid and anxious most of the time 😰. I try to answer questions or respond to people who inspired/are inspired by my work but regular compliments are scary (love getting them tho)

6.) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

I'm not a fan of mcd or no comfort for Ghoap, so nothing that sad. I guess "Solar Eclipse". Sort of bittersweet with how much therapy they're going to need after that (⁠ ⁠；⁠∀⁠；⁠)

7.) Fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Oh God, there's a lot. If I had to choose?? Maybe "Forever Ain't Half the Time (I Want to Spend With You)" that's just some good old fluff all the way through!

8.) Do you get hate on fics?

I've gotten unsolicited constructive criticism, passive aggressive comments, and that one guest with the racist username, but nothing explicit towards me.

9.) Do you write smut?

Plenty of pwp. They're usually my quick palate cleansers between plot-driven stories since they are a bit easier for me to write.

10.) Craziest crossover?

No real crossovers, but I have a Fire Emblem AU going if that counts ┐⁠(⁠´⁠ー⁠｀⁠)⁠┌

11.) Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Not to my knowledge, thankfully.

No :( that would be so cool, though.

No, but that sounds so fun :(

I don't know what Activision put in Ghoap?? But they are like crack cocaine for me. Genuinely never been this obsessed with a ship. Only thing sorta close was Ranpoe from bsd

15.) What's a wip you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

I mean, my baseball AU isn't much more than some disconnected ideas, but I don't think I'll ever get to write it. I'm so not good with super long fics, my fe AU is already stressing me out

16.) What are your writing strengths?

Um, I've been told my dialogue and characterization is really good. My favorite compliment is always how I make the characters seem real :D personally, I put a lot of focus into pacing so I hope that's good LMAO

17.) What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm not that great with flowery language :( I always love seeing how some writers can create beautiful prose, amazing imagery, and outstanding figurative language, but my writing always feels somewhat straightforward in comparison :/

18.) Thoughts on dialogue in another language?

I don't hate it, but I don't try to include it too much. Singular words here or there that can be inferred without translation (nicknames/terms of endearment/curses) are all I'll usually do. I feel like having long strips of another language that someone needs to translate to understand breaks up the flow and pacing too much for my tastes. Usually, I just mention it's in another language. (Also don't want to embarrass myself in front of native speakers lol, that's why I don't do accents either)

19.) First fandom you wrote in?

Oh God please don't ask that... I think it was Creepypasta or Black Butler back in elementary school ಥ⁠_⁠��

20.) Favorite fic you've written?

100% without a doubt 'I'm Your Home, You're My Home' I don't know what was in the water when I wrote it, but I don't know if I'll ever one-up it.

My favorite smut was definitely 'Late Night Ride Home' lmao. Perfectly catered to me 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ yessir

This was written 8-9ish years ago, and re-written and posted on ao3 3 years ago.

This concept came from my sister's dream, and she asked me to write it, and probably the main reason why i decided to have an ao3 account lmao

This was originally written with a different fandom and pairing and was supposed to be a part of this fic universe i wrote (but didn't finish). Re-written so it can be better, I guess (hope)??? but the concept is still the same with some major changes tho

6:00 – 7:00 a.m.

Y/N woke up to an irritating sound. It was this shrill beeping sound that made her want to hurl the object at the wall.

When she opened her eyes, she reached for the alarm clock and turned it off. "Shut up," she said, exhausted, and looked at the time. 6:00 am.

For an ordinary Saturday morning, six am is way too early. After dropping out of the university from her second course and running away with Sungjin, Y/N's life has changed; from the simplest things like her sleeping pattern to the biggest ones like missing her family. She wouldn't say she regrets it, she just wishes the situation was different.

Her usual weekends start at nine, and she always wakes up before Sungjin does. She would often be the one to go down to make breakfast for the two of them.

Sometimes though, when struck with an ahem inspiration, she would wake him with a lazy hand job—or a blowie, whichever she prefers—until he slightly shifts position and fist the bed covers. Slowly peppering his hips with kisses until Sungjin groans in annoyance to whichever is rousing him from his beloved, peaceful sleep. Y/N has to stifle her laughter because she knows just how grumpy he is when woken up 'too early', but how he won't be able to stay mad at her. He'd smile down at her and say in that sexy just-woke-up voice of his that he'd go back to sleep so Y/N can go ahead with what shennanigans she was trying to do.

Today though, that was not the case. She has to get up early because the local high school she volunteers at made a weekend program for writing and music. Every second Saturday, she would be facilitating two classes; a writing workshop in the morning, and the music sessions in the afternoon. Sometimes, she would take Sungjin with her, and he would teach the students how to play the guitar.

After switching the alarm off, Y/N got up and stretched her legs and arms, loving the way her joints popped as sleep from her muscles fade.

It's also during this time of the day, however, that she can't help but think of her life before this.

It has been five years. Y/N is sure her children doesn't recognize her anymore. After running away with the boyfriend of her ex-husband's twin brother, she's sure Dowoon would never let her be a part of their children's lives anymore, no matter how much he used to love her. Betrayal would definitely kill people.

Y/N padded sleepily to the bathroom to take a quick shower.

After getting ready for the day, she went down to cook some breakfast for them. Before leaving the house, she decides to check on Sungjin and wake him up early for his doctor's appointment. He sleeps through the alarm, and might miss his appointment.

She opens the door to their room quietly and see Sungjin's still sleeping form on the bed. She gently shakes him, just enough to wake him up.

"Sungjin?" She shakes him again when he doesn't respond. "Babe? Wake up."

Sungjin hums, cracking an eye open. "I'd be going," she says with a soft smile.

"Hmf... don't you want me to go with you?" He asks sleepily as he rubs his eyes. Y/N shakes her head, running her fingers through his hair.

"It's fine. You have your appointment today with Dr. Park, remember? Wouldn't wanna miss that." Sungjin pouts, and she smiles. "I'll bring home that Kimchi stew you like."

"Yeah?" He smiles at her hopefully through bleary eyes.

"Yes. So get your lazy ass up now, or you'll have to rush again." She slaps his bum and kisses his lips before she stands up. "I'll be home early. Get up now, 'kay? Love you." She shuts the door to the bedroom just in time to hear the faint and almost muffled love you too from Sungjin.

She leaves the house minutes later, not helping the smile on her face. She thinks that at the end of the day, after all the heartbreaks and challenges they had to face, running away with him is always worth it.

9:40 am

Y/N gives the students their second writing exercise for the day. She walks around the room and smiles down at Charlie, one of her favorite students in the writing program. The kid is really talented in writing.

Y/N wonders fleetingly about her twins. She wonders if they will inherit their father's love for music books, or her love for long novels? She puts her arm around the other and smiles to herself. She wants to see her children badly and maybe, just maybe, have some with Sungjin in the future.

10:30 am

Y/N was just about to tell her students to take a 15-minute break when she heard a commotion outside. One of the teachers ran up to her classroom with panic in her eyes. Y/N immediately knew something was wrong.

"What is it?" she asked.

"There's someone with a gun!" It took Y/N a minute to fully get that. "He's in the building. Send your students out."

She didn't need to be told twice. "Class, I need you to leave everything behind and quickly exit the room." She tried to keep her voice even so as not to alarm them. She didn't want them panicking, even though she felt like throwing up.

"Now!" She hoped her students can forgive her for raising her voice (she never does), but now's not the right time to think about that. Both teachers looked out while the students filed out of the room hurriedly.

"Did someone call 911?" she asked as the last student got out of the room. The other teacher's answer was cut short by the sound of gunfire, followed by screaming.

"Go, go, go!" Y/N yelled at the students as they all ran towards the direction of the stairs.

Y/N was nearing the stairs when pain blooms in her shoulder. She didn't dare look back as a second one hits her back, then her leg. That's when she lost her balance, and crumple to the ground face down. She heard more screaming as students ran for their lives before she felt the bullet to her neck, and she's—

12:00 pm

Y/N raises her head from the table with a gasp.

Disoriented, she looks around and blinks. She doesn't know she had been snoozing. Had she been snoozing? It feels like she had only blinked.

Huh.

She looks at the clock; 12:00 pm.

She hears the chatter of the students outside as she sees the essay exercises on her table. When she looks up, however, the classroom is a mess. The students' things are everywhere, and the chairs are all askew.

She remembers the panic and running, but nothing else. What happened after that?

She tries to recall as she flexes her head, pressing lightly at the pain in her neck. Not being able to come up with anything from her bizarre dream(?), she starts to clean up the mess.

Y/N had successfully cleaned up the messy classroom by herself. She didn't notice that there were no students on the floor anymore. She slung her bag to her back and locked up the classroom.

It wasn't until she reached the second floor that she saw another soul. It was, however, a police officer.

What the...?

She walked towards the man, and called out to him.

"Excuse me?" He didn't seem to notice her. She called out to him again to no avail, the police turning his back on her.

"What the fuck?" Bothered, she continued down to the ground floor, where she saw more police officers.

She tried to talk to another police officer, but she was still ignored. She was getting frustrated and weirded out with each passing second. It's like they cannot see her. She didn't understand what's happening and felt her head spin, eyes prickling with tears of confusion.

She looked around, and finally, one person seemed to see her. The lady was looking straight at her. Relieved, Y/N walked towards her; she didn't know why, but she felt compelled to talk to her.

When she was close to the lady, she tripped a little on her own feet. She looked down and when she looked back up, the lady vanished.

"Looking for me?"

Y/N spun around to reveal the lady that had been staring at her.

"Yes..." Y/N said, torn between feeling embarrassed and confused. "But, you're there before. How...?"

The lady smiled at her. "You have more important questions to be answered, don't you think?" Y/N, who was dumbfounded, had just managed to nod.

"Come with me," the lady said. She turned around and started walking away, not waiting for Y/N to respond.

1:45 pm

Y/N cannot believe her eyes. She, or more accurately, her body, has been lying on a body bag in the quadrangle.

"B-but... h-how...?" She can only stammer in confusion.

This is just not possible. Y/N tries to breathe in and out to stop the spinning of her head, clutching her hands in each other.

She finally turns to the lady beside her, who is still staring at her lifeless body.

"You got killed," she answers Y/N's unspoken obvious question. "You're one of the last people he'd managed to kill before he was taken down by the police."

When the lady points at the bullet hole on her neck, a picture flashes through her mind.

Y/N remembers the pain through her shoulder, then her back and leg. Lastly, she remembers the blinding pain on her neck after falling to the ground.

After long minutes of disbelief, Y/N finds it in her to finally speak, her voice hoarse from the brimming emotions in her eyes. "I'm dreaming, aren't I?"

She badly wants to believe that maybe she was really just dreaming. Maybe this is all just a practical joke. By whom, she doesn't know.

"I'm sorry, Y/N." Her companion just shakes her head. "I'm so sorry."

That was the last straw for Y/N. Tears pour from her eyes as her world comes crashing down and her dreams shatter. She falls to her knees as she sobs her heart out.

She isn't ready to die yet.

Maybe this is payback for everything she did, for everyone she killed.

Sungjin.

How is he supposed to move on? How is she supposed to move on?

"Sungjin." She sniffs. "Don't I even have the chance to say goodbye? I wanna say goodbye to him."

"You only have until before midnight," the lady says.

"Thank you," Y/N replies.

The lady just smiles at her sadly, her eyes telling her that she understands how she feels. She wonders briefly if they had been in the same situation. The lady vanishes right before her eyes, leaving Y/N with a broken heart.

2:50 pm

She looks for Sungjin at the clinic, but he was not there. She goes home and he was there, sleeping soundly on the sofa. His arm has a band-aid, for his tetanus jab.

Sungjin hates getting shots the most. Y/N knows he hates hospitals and injections, and has a big mistrust with the institution, and it makes her chest swell with love for him.

It makes her heart shatter, though. It's so hard to leave and say goodbye to someone you had forsaken your world for, especially when you're starting to think that everything is turning out fine. She was just starting to build her world with him, planning their future and thinking of having kids.

Sungjin looks so peaceful and beautiful, having no care in the world that Y/N just wants to frame this moment. She knows she can't, so she'll just watch over him for as long as she can. Maybe it will last longer than taking a picture, or maybe it can stop the time. If not, then she can at least keep this picture embedded in her mind before she disappears forever.

3:38 pm

Sungjin shifts from his position, rubbing his eyes and yawning on his hands. Y/N wipes her eyes with the back of her hand so he won't see the tears that had been steadily streaming down her face for the past hour. His eyes find her, and smiles that beautiful smile she fell in love with.

It sends her heart skidding on the floor, and to splinter a little more at the thought of leaving him. She bites her lip to keep the tears from falling further, and smiles back at him.

"Hey," she says, barely keeping her voice steady.

"Hey," Sungjin smiles at hear again, but his smile crumples when he takes in her bloodshot eyes and runny nose. He shoots up and engulfs her in a tight hug.

It was the wrong thing to do as Y/N loses it again, tears escaping down her cheeks. He rubs her back soothingly.

"What's wrong?" he asks. "Are you okay?"

"I love you. Please never ever forget that," is all she can say.

"And I love you more." Sungjin pulls away and cups her face into his hands. "Now tell me what's wrong—and don't you try to lie. I know you so well."

She debates telling him because he deserves the truth, but she can't find the right words to say. "I'm fine," she sniffs and shakes her head. "I'm okay."

"You're definitely not okay." He pulls away and holds her arms. He frowns when he notices her body's dropped temperature. "Where have you been? You're awfully cold!"

"I'm fine. School's let out early." Y/N sits up straight and smiles, wiping at her tears. "Did you—have you seen the news?"

Y/N is nervous to ask that, but she has to know. She knows he would be shattered when he knows that he's talking to a ghost. Technically, Sungjin can still touch her, but she's already a ghost.

She also can't forgive herself for breaking their promise of forever.

"Not yet," Sungjin says. "I was so tired and sleepy so I had to go straight home. But we can turn on the TV anyw—"

"No!" Y/N grips his hand, cutting him short of turning on the TV. She looks close to tears again that he raises his eyebrows in surprise.

"No." Y/N composes herself with a fake smile to appease the surprised features on his face. "I'm just asking. I'm sorry for yelling."

"You're acting weird," Sungjin says.

Y/N puts on her best I'm-okay face and smiles at him. "I'm okay. I just had a snooze at work and I had a bad dream."

I wish this was all just a bad dream.

"I just want to make sure you don't forget I love you, you know? Despite everything that happened to us." She looks down and smiles sadly. "I'm sorry I made you worry for nothing."

Sungjin pouts, but pulls her into another hug. "It's fine, babe. I just love you more and more every second because you're the only person who loved me truly, and never left me."

Y/N's heart can't get any more broken.

5:55 pm

For the past few hours, Y/N and Sungjin were just curled up on the loveseat. They were watching a sappy romcom that seemed to mock her in the face as it was about leaving a loved one behind and coming back for them. On the other hand, it's a good reason for her to cry her eyes out without raising suspicion, safe and snug under Sungjin's arms.

Too bad, the peace doesn't last forever.

7:40 pm

Y/N is currently waiting for Sungjin to come back. She originally opposed to the idea because she has a bad feeling about it, but he said that he needs to get some food (since Y/N forgot to bring home some). It has already been an hour since he went out, and the store was only a 15-minute walk—five if you use a car.

What is taking him so long?

8:20 pm - 9:45 pm

Y/N was just about to go looking for Sungjin when the front door opens and shuts with a slam. Next came the heavy footsteps that sounded urgent and almost running.

Y/N stands up and was about to see if it was him (who else would it be?), when he comes running into the living room. He was panting and has a disheveled appearance, eyes puffy with the evident tear-stained tracks in his face.

Shit.

"Sungjin...?" Y/N steps forward, but Sungjin steps backwards. "Babe...?"

"Who are you?" he asks as he tilts his head to the side, an incredulous, almost crazed look in his eyes.

"What?" she asks, knowing fully well what is going on. "It's me, Y/N! What kind of stupid sh—"

"You're NOT Y/N!" Sungjin almost yells. He walks towards her and shakes her by her shoulders. "Who are you? What did you do to her?"

"Babe, it's me!"

"No!" He lets go of her and walks to the other side of the room, his back against her. He turns around, and he has tears in his eyes. "You're not her."

"I am!" she cries out, but he refuses to listen. His mouth is curled in an angry sneer. "I know it sounds absurd, but I came back for you... to say goodbye."

"How can I believe that, huh?" he laughs, but there is no humor in his voice. "Ghosts are not real, whoever you are."

Oh.

"How can you expect me to believe what you were saying?" he asks, but she can't give him an answer. "Answer me!" he screams when she stays silent.

Y/N suddenly feels tired. Heartbroken.

"I love you," she says instead. She looks down at her hands, and see that she is starting to fade as time passes by.

Sungjin laughs a ruthless laugh, not noticing the change in her, and it breaks her heart even more. She can't find it in herself to cry, mainly because she's already cried out as heck, and it's not like it will change anything.

"Just stay away from me," Sungjin says, face taut with anger. "Get the fuck out of my house."

Y/N can only nod. She debates reaching out to touch him, but backs out at the last second. She leaves her coat by the door, and gets out into the cold night.

She's already cold, anyway.

11:15 pm

Y/N begins to think about how her life has been and thinks how far she'd come. She's pretty proud of herself for coming this far.

She would want to say goodbye to her kids and to Dowoon as well, but it's not like that's in the cards right now.

She looks at her wristwatch, the one Sungjin gifted her for her birthday.

11:15 pm.

Right, 45 minutes left.

It's funny how she can't cry anymore, probably because she's past the sixth stage of grief. She thinks she had already accepted that she will be gone by midnight, and crying makes no sense at this point. It's not like it'll bring her back, or bring Sungjin back.

Speaking of which, she looks to her left and there Sungjin is at the other side of the park. She's pretty sure he hasn't seen her yet, so she stands up and keep her head down.

She walks toward a more secluded part of the park, not risking a glance back at him. She doesn't want to fight with him again. She'd rather go quietly without an affair, than have a big blow up with Sungjin. After all, this what she's good at; running away.

"Y/N!"

Ah, shit.

Y/N tries to walk faster without seeming like she was running away from him. If she runs away, he'll know she heard him. Y/N walks on, chanting a nopenopenope in her head.

Nope, indeed.

Nearly there.

"Y/N, please," Sungjin says, sounding out of breath and too near. "Wait."

Just keep yourself together.

"Y/N!" Sungjin grabs her wrist, spinning her around.

Her gaze lands on her wrist, and she sees that she was fading away fast. She pulls her hand back to her fast, careful not to draw attention to it. Too late though, because Sungjin's eyes are drawn to it.

She pulls the sweater's sleeve to cover her wrist and clear her throat. "Yeah." She laughs awkwardly. "Sorry 'bout that."

"It's true, then." Sungjin's face crumple. He looks younger, almost like a kid. "I was hoping it was just delirium from the shots."

She laughs quietly. "You don't get delirious from shots."

Silence.

Y/N takes a deep breath, and smiles like her heart's not on fire. "I'll be going."

"Where?" he asks in a small voice.

She shrugs. "Hell, maybe?"

That turns out to be the wrong thing to say, because Sungjin bursts into tears a few moments later.

No, no, no.

"I'm sorry," she says as she takes a step towards him. She suddenly stops, him asking her to stay away still ringing in her ears.

"I'm sorry," even though she doesn't know if she's saying sorry for the joke or for ruining his life. "Sorry."

"I was hoping—" he says as he hiccups, wiping at his tears. "I was hoping this was all just a practical joke."

Y/N smiles sadly, still keeping her distance. She badly wants to pull him into a hug, but she can't.

"Do you regret it?" she asks him after a minute of silence. He looks at her and it breaks her heart, but she just can't bear not knowing before leaving. "Do you regret choosing me?"

"No," he insists, shaking his head. "Never."

She nods with a small smile. Me, too.

"Thank you," she says. "That's all I need to know."

She turns toward the other side of the park, but he walks in front of her and blocks her way.

"Don't go," he begs almost desperately. He kneels in front of her and hugs her legs, still crying like a kid. "Please just take me with you."

"Sungjin..."

"Please," he cries harder. "Please please please."

Y/N unwraps his arms around her legs, and kneels with him, pulling him into a tight hug.

"Please don't leave me," he cries on her sweater. "You're all I have."

11:55 pm

Five minutes.

They spent the last almost-hour talking and crying. They reminisced about everything, and Y/N apologized, mostly. Everything she failed to say, and failed to make him feel. She spared nothing.

She looks at her wristwatch. 11:55 pm.

Her hands are almost transparent at this point.

"I'm sorry if I wasn't able to keep my promise" she says, taking Sungjin's hand in hers. "I mean it when I said I love you, and I want you to be happy—"

"—I can't be," Sungjin replies. At least he had stopped crying, but it looks like he was about to again.

Three minutes.

"Close your eyes, babe." He does, and she kisses his lips one last time.

"I'm gonna miss you," she says. "I'll wait for you, okay?"

"I won't take long." Sungjin's voice is quivering.

One minute.

"I love you." Her skin starts to glow while she was speaking, her body flowing like ashes in the wind and drifting upwards.

"I love you, too," Sungjin says.

When he opens his eyes, he was alone on the park bench.

He stays there for a long time, wishing she heard him.

She did, and she carried his love with her to the dark skies.

i don't know if anyone i know writes fanfics except one person, and i also don't have a lot of fics to give an example for...however, i'll give what i can cuz this sounded fun to do. Plus, maybe you'll see a few things you haven't seen yet!!

so i guess i tag any authors who follow me or see this. @foxyyaoguai is the only one i know personally, don't feel pressured tho!

man this list gives me a bad reputation for finishing things, i just haven't done many fanfictions in my life (i usually write original stuff)

“Oi, brat.” Eren sighed quite verbally from where he was laying, looking up at the tree above him shortly after his eyes cracked open. - Hey Brat (AOT/Attack on Titan fanfic, coincidentally the first fic i ever started to attempt writing. Ereri i believe. incomplete/not finishing)

Tight breaths were ragged in Tommy’s chest, his own screams covering the sound of bruised knuckles slamming against the two fighters’ bodies. - AHTFF/A Height to Fall From (Minecraft, Tommyinnit centric / SBI, sorta a fantasty/timeline hop AU...never posted it and its unfinished...should i post it anyway sometime? i wrote a lot for this one and it has a full outline for 3 fics & 2 epilogues. i also drew a bunch of designs for them...seems like it'd be a shame to let it rot.)

How many works do you have on AO3?

I have, as of this post, a total of 33 on AO3. There are an extra 4-5 in the wip folder though, just waiting for me to finish them.

2. What's your total word count?

AO3 stats tell me it's 85,132 - the fic with the highest wordcount was the first one I ever wrote and took about 2 years to complete. (It's not the best, I kinda want to rewrite it tbh, but that's effort-)

3. What fandoms?

I've been in the Hatchetfield fansphere since TGWDLM came out, but I only started writing for it recently when I read @lilacthebooklover's fic "Dehumanization" which I CANNOT plug enough. Go read it right now if you enjoy Paul whump and are a fellow Paulkins enjoyer <3

4. Top 5 fics by kudos

1. Patching Things Up currently sits at a whopping 358 kudos! This also has the highest hit count of 4,736! Insanity. 2. I'll Warm Your Hands To Warm Your Heart stands at 163 kudos, which is average to my usual rate. PTU was a wonderful anomaly. 3. Patchy Memory is just under at 159 kudos. These top three are all for the same fandom - Wednesday (Netflix). Such a good show. 4. The (Blue) Blood In My Eyes sits just under PM with 145 kudos. This was for DBH. 5. Mischa's Journey of Coming Out has just cracked three digits! It's a 107 kudos currently, and is an RTC fic.

5. Do you respond to comments?

All the time! Sometimes it's just a "<3" because I don't have anything to say, but I want to let the commenter know that their comment is appreciated ^-^

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ghosted Coffee (Poisoned Food), my gifted fic to @lilacthebooklover, definitely has the angstiest ending, mostly because I left it like that so that I could continue to write from it. I usually write happy endings, or soft endings because I want the soft to heal from the angst at some point :')

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

My most recent one is probably the happiest since it's just pure fluff. It's called Birthday Girl, Won't You Dine With Me? and it's Ted/Charlotte fluff. I've lovingly called them Sweetkoffski bc Charted is a weak ship name, let's be real.

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Thankfully, I've never received hate on any of my fics, and I'm so grateful for that. I'll take concrit if people are willing to give it, but being an arse online is just stupid. Don't do it. You don't know what's going on in people's lives behind the screen. That could be the final straw for some. Think before you type. I love you all <3

9. Do you write smut?

Nope, and I probably won't ever. The furthest I'd go is fade to black, or off-screen mentions. Just not exactly comfortable writing that and putting it out into the fic world, no thanks. I do currently have an idea that dips lightly into sexual themes at the very beginning, but it shifts to fluff pretty quick.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

Alas, I have not. It'd be really cool if I did though, or if someone wanted to do a podfic of something I'd written. I'd love to get involved <3

I haven't. (lowkey running out of ways to say no :|)

14. What's your all time favourite ship?

Well good golly Miss Molly this is a loaded question - I have MANY. I generally class by fandom and try to have one fave ship per fandom, but for some (like Hatchetverse) it's really hard. Here are some of them:

From Hatchetverse: currently Paulkins bc they're so cute and sweet and they care so much and they ALWAYS FIND EACH OTHER IN EVERY TIMELINE AND- From Ace Attorney: Narumitsu, obviously lol. I do love other ships (Maggey x Gumshoe is adorable, FranMaya is one I didn't think I'd like and then -boom!- I was invested, etc.) Star Trek: This is one of the 'I have many ships' fandoms, since there are so many shows now, but probably because he's my favourite character and his character development is mm- magnifique... Culmets (also sometimes known as Space Husbands) from ST:Disco. I love them so much. Good Omens: Another probably obvious one - Ineffable Husbands. They're so.....y'know? I can't use words atm bc I'm still disappointed in Azi (not Neil, not Michael, in the character's decision. Neil did a fantastic job and I love him- I hate him- I love him for the S2 ending .^.)

15. What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

The original story idea I had. As in, novel idea. Like a book. It still exists in physical form in a notebook in my house, but I don't think I'll be thinking about it anytime in the near future, let alone working on it. Writing a full novel is a big undertaking and I'm not in a place to do that yet. Maybe one day, if I win the lottery and everything suddenly slots into place because I have an epiphany, but not right now. It's still a really good idea though.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I...am actually not sure? ^^;; Probably characterization, since a lot of people comment about how I've written the characters well, but I always worry that they'd feel ooc. I also seem to write a lot of angst sooo.....that's something, huh.

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Writing groups. I can do a groupchat text thing (see 'Alone In The Crowd'), but I do struggle with writing more than 3 characters at once. I can't flip between them in my brain fast enough to write them well and then I worry that they'll all sound the same and- yeah. Give me 3 or less and I can write forever. Give me 6 and I'll struggle.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

If it's German, I can probably do it, so hurrah for me that Ace Attorney has (in the localised versions of the games) canon German characters that would probably realistically speak German sometimes. I haven't done German in about 5 or so years, so I'm rusty, but I can just about remember how the grammar works. Don't ask me anything conversational though - school only teaches you the language to pass an exam, not how to speak it :/

19. First fandom you wrote for?

I've already answered this ^^;; but it was Sanders Sides - if you don't know what that is: Thomas Sanders (the 'storytime' vine man) created a YouTube webseries about the different facets of his personality, including a character version of himself. He plays all the different roles (since they're all in his head so it makes sense that they'd look like him) and there's actual lore going down. I haven't seen the most recent episodes bc life and I watch many other people on YT as well, and tbh I've drifted from the fandom a bit, but it's still enjoyable.

20. Top 3 fics I've ever written?

My very top one was linked earlier and is for the Wednesday (Netflix) fandom - Patching Things Up. It's received so much love and I'm still blown away every time I see how many people have even clicked on the fic. Nearly 5k! Madness.

The next would probably have to be My Home, My Saviour, My Firefighter (the beginning of something beautiful <3) because I just enjoyed writing it so so much, despite it being incredibly angsty. It's the longest oneshot I had written at the time by about 2.5k(ish) words and even surpasses the 6 chapter fic Mischa's Journey (linked earlier) by roughly 1k. Won't be able to pass that very first fic though, don't think anything will unless I rewrite it.

1. How many works do you have on AO3?

67 currently, but I have deleted a few old ones lol

2. What’s your total word count?

Now, when I tell you I went overboard on this question, I went overboard. My private, unposted, solely-written-by-me fics' total word count is 227,868. My total word count for fics I've collaborated with @charismabee on is 477,549, and my total word count on AO3 is 389,530. However, quite a few of my AO3 fics are collabs with Red, so if you take away everything like Wilting Flowers and Owl House but Kindergarten, you're left with 225,235 words written solely by me. So, if you total up 225,235 + 227,868 + 477,549, then you get a grand total of 930,652 words! Then, of course, there's the whole matter of my old fics on regular Word and not Docs, which would probably add up to at least another 50,000 total considering we're talking about my ASOUE and DT17 phases, as well as all of the private Viva Pinata and miscellaneous musical stuff lurking in there, and we've got that weird writing app on my tablet that I used a lot a couple of years ago whenever my phone got confiscated, but I cannot be bothered to search through all of that right now. So, it mostly rounds up to around 1,000,000 words. Fanfiction may or may not be taking over my life. (Gosh I love maths <3)

3. What fandoms?

I've written mostly for the Kindergarten 1 and 2 fandom, my total fics on AO3 for it totaling 38. However, I have written a heck of a lot of OMORI as well, and dabble in the Owl House, DHMIS, a few webseries on YT as well as the Hatchetverse sometimes, too!

4. Top 5 fics by kudos

1. World's Okayest Uncle at 799. My latest WIP, written for the Hatchetfield Universe and based around the concept of Paul Matthews becoming the accidental uncle of every kid in town. Each chapter focuses on a different child (the three so far about Alice, Richie and Pete respectively), and once all of them have been sufficiently adopted, I've been considering adding some slice-of-life stuff, exploring the changed character dynamics, and looking into parts of canon that would change in the AU as well. 2. Hollow at 455, a Hunter-centric one-shot for the Owl House set immediately after season 2 finished. It was written in the post King's Tide craze of awesome Human Realm content, so it got quite a lot of hits at the time. It focuses on Hunter dealing with the aftermath of Belos seemingly having died, and himself having being thrown into a completely new, unfamiliar world as an unfamiliar God took over his own :) 3. Flapjacks at 279, another Hunter-centric piece because TOH fans can't get enough of him lol (I am very much one of those fans). I began writing it back when Thanks to Them was first released, then got the motivation to finish it after I saw Watching and Dreaming. It focuses on Hunter returning to the Human Realm after the Collector's defeat, as well as Camila's thoughts on being a parent of who knows' how many kids at this point. Hunter finally gets the chance to mourn, and finds out what a flapjack actually is. 4. Gravesfield Historical Society, at 275. In which it's only natural that the Boiling Isles' leading Human Expert decides to do some research, and Gus does his very best to ignore the images plaguing him from looking into Belos' mind. Vee looks for some closure, Hunter is very protective over his little siblings, and Gus just wants to have a fun day at the museum. Things... Don't go to plan. 5. Fading, at 215. Yet another TOH work (I was around when the fandom was active as heck), one of the shortest pieces I've ever written at only 722 words. It's from Flapjack's POV during that scene in Thanks for Them. You know the one. I made lots of people cry, and sacrificed the birb.

5. Do you respond to comments?

Of course!! I thoroughly appreciate every comment I receive; they really make my day. Being part of an active fandom with the Uncle Paul AU has sort of taken me by storm so my inbox is pretty clogged at the moment, but I promise that I have read and smiled over and will reply to the comments all of my lovely readers have left behind! It means so much that someone's not only taken the time to read what I've written, but that they liked it enough to leave a comment behind. Even just keysmashes or "<33"s are really lovely to see, so thank you to the wonderful commentors out there! You guys are awesome :D

6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Ooh, now this is a tough one! Pretty much 95% of what I write is angst, with a good 70% being Hurt No Comfort. Still, I think the angstiest ending I've ever written would have to be that of either "Enough", in which 13 y/o me decided it was a good idea to follow the perspective of kindergartener Theodore Huxley as his brother pushed him to his death, or "Wilted", in which 13 y/o me decided it was a good idea to follow the perspective of suicidal kindergartener Lily as she gave up on finding the one person who cared about her and committed suicide as a result of being bullied. Wilted should probably win out considering the implications of what would happen to Billy as a result, and bc the ending subsequently led to Nugget's death too, but Ted's train of thought in Enough is so gosh darn sad.

7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Definitely "McDonald's". That's the fluffiest thing I've ever written, no doubt about it. Not a smidgen of angst, just a bunch of kids with colourful eyes and pointy ears walking into a fast food restaurant and discovering what chicken nuggets are. It literally ends with the promise of more cute adventures to come, so I'd say this one's a no-brainer loll

8. Do you get hate on fics?

I've only ever received hate once, on a little Gravity Falls AU I made entitled "Puppet Strings and Stage Curtains". I got some pretty nasty criticism on it and, as a kid who was still very anxious about posting stuff online, it really impacted me at the time. I'm still a little nervous even now to open up my inbox because I think I might have gotten another comment like that shfjdhhgkjh. I wound up abandoning the fic because my motivation was completely destroyed, and I couldn't even look at the thing without feeling ashamed. However, I haven't received any hate since, which is great! There's just no reason for it, really; if you like something, leaving a comment is wonderful, and it makes the author happy! If you don't, just don't read the fic. Leaving a hurtful comment isn't going to make anyone happy, and can be really damaging to writers. Shoutout to @weedkillercentral, who, without fail, leaves the bizzarest comments known to man on almost every work I post.

9. Do you write smut?

Nope! I am a ✨minor✨ (@snarky-wallflower dw I too am a nerdy prude, sex jokes are Ew). Still, I do enjoy writing romance from time to time! Some ships are straight-up hard not to enjoy reading/writing for :))

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Funny story, actually. I used to have Wattpad and, as much as I hated using it, a friend of mine liked the site so I used it to support her. I wound up posting some of my own stuff on there at one point. I will never be able to get over the fact that when you searched up my username online, the images used to show a picture of Sharkbomb Glomgold. How do I know this? Because small me got bored and looked up my username, and accidentally found a mirror site to Wattpad with some of my stuff on. It credited my username and everything, but I panicked about it because as far as I was aware, I had no control over whether I could take it down or what else could be put on it. So, I deleted everything on my account, and just like that, the fics on the mirror site vanished. So no, I've never had anything outright stolen-- at least, I hope I haven't-- but that was a Not Fun experience for little me a few years ago

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No, I'm not famous enough for that lol. I did have an offer for someone to make a podfic of smth I wrote a few years ago, but they never got around to it. Still, if anyone ever wants to translate one of my fics, I'd love it if you did! Please just let me know and acknowledge me as the OG author; having a work translated sounds awesome.

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Yes! Many thanks yet again to the amazing @charismabee, my dear co-author and the Kel shirt to my Maverick cosplay wig. The amount of hours I've spent writing with her is actually insane, as well as the times we've just messaged brainstorming AUs or having far too strong feelings about the show Elena of Avalor. We've done joint Whumptobers and Febuwhumps, fics that are combinations of the nichest stories and characters, a lot of redemption arcs for 5-year-olds... If you like my stuff, I thoroughly encourage you to go give her work a read at TheFearIsRed on AO3! :D

If anyone else ever wants to try collaborating on something, I think I'd be willing to give it a try! There are loads of talented authors on here, and co-writing is a lot of fun <3

14. What’s your all-time favorite ship?

Hmm... Well, Paulkins is an obvious one (remember that one post about "hatchetfield fans when normal man and his barista crush show up for 5 seconds"? yeah that's me). They have a level of mutual trust and understanding that's just really nice to explore, they both have issues galore but will support each other no matter what, half infected Paul content is golden and as an avid Uncle Paul truther, Emma finding out about his many children is just too funny a concept to me. They act like teenagers when they see each other, they're both down bad, she knows he doesn't like the Christmas advert jingles, he thinks she's funny,,, they're so <3

Another strong contender is Pearla (Penny x Carla), from the K2 fandom. @goldmoth82 was the one who got me into writing about them with their absolutely incredible stuff (art, fics, you name it!). They're just a traumatised android and a thieving arsonist, what more could you want?

Gold rush (Kel x Mikhael) is another of my favourites though, mostly because it's so funny. Mikhael has declared them rivals, and Kel could not care less. Mikhael challenges him to races, and Kel beats him easily. Mikhael insults him often, but Kel doesn't retaliate. Mikhael wants to be independent and special, to stand out from everyone else. Kel wants to be appreciated as more than just Hero's brother, to be liked and acknowledged as himself. Mikhael would vehemently deny his feelings until Daphne and Bowen tied them up together and forced him to confess. Rivals are just lovers in disguise, everyone. One-sided gold rush is even funnier, because they're technically one-sided rivals. Kel was Mikhael's homosexual awakening. Mikhael looks so dumb and flamboyant because he's trying to impress him. Mikhael claims he hates him and that his bright red face is from anger after Kel effortlessly beats him time and time again. I love them.

But I think out of everything, Wrightworth would have to take my top pic for favourite ship. Gay lawyers who would die for each other for the win.

15. What’s a WIP you want to finish but doubt you will?

Ohh gosh. There are quite a few, but I'd probably say this year's Whumptober. My mental health went schwoop this October and I only got up to day 11 despite my plans. I still intend to finish the collab one with Red when I have time again (exams suck), and I'm not sure if I'll ever be able to get around to completing it. At least there's always next year! :"]

16. What are your writing strengths?

Definitely characterisation. I have a lot of fun getting into characters' heads and making studies on them in different scenes or just overall, and have a lot of fun bouncing different personalities off of each other. Once I know a character, I know the character, and writing their POV is as simple as breathing lol. I'd also say that I'm pretty good at tension building and breaking, as well as Hurt No Comfort (you need some good old angst, I'm your gal).

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

Action scenes, for one, though I've been improving on them since I started the TOH Kindergarten AU! I'd also say that I struggle with slower-paced, filler sort of stuff. I might like to build up to an event, but chapters that don't have plot relevance just sort of stump me lol, even when they're necessary :)

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language?

I enjoy learning languages, and have been teaching myself Spanish for the past couple of years or so. However, writing them is a whole separate thing entirely. If I had a translator, I'd be all good! I just get a little worried when I write any language that isn't Spanish because google translate is unreliable as heck, so I typically tend to avoid it. Luckily, none of my fandoms really require it- but if that Franziska & Miles brainrot doesn't go away soon, I might be in a bit of a pickle trying to write German dialogue hshjhgfk

19. First fandom you wrote for?

A Series of Unfortunate Events (the Netflix show). It was the first fandom I got really, properly into, diving in headfirst at the age of about 12 and finding a lot of awesome content. The obsession I had with VFDBaudelaireFile13's Violet Snicket AU "Misery Loves Company" a few years ago was wild. My writing back then was very jolty, and I wrote in chapters that only lasted a few paragraphs with big, bold titles that often had at least two exclamation marks at the end. Still, ASOUE is one of my favourite shows to this day, and I don't regret a thing from my time binge-reading everything I could find for it (except that one lemons fic I accidentally came across when starved for content), nor any of the silly little unposted AUs I wrote on Word.

20. Top 3 fics I've ever written:

I puzzled over this question for ages, but found it impossible to choose just one! Ignore that I'm cheating a little here, and take three instead <3

1. An unposted collaborative work with @charismabee/TheFearIsRed that we called MPT. It was the first big fic I ever wrote, and it was probably what really got me into writing as a hobby. I got to spend time at random intervals writing about and whumping my favourite characters with someone I'm very close with, making up the plot as we went along. I remember coming up with the initial idea on a swingset, and spending hours colour-coding every segment of those 50,000 words based on each mention of a character as well as who wrote what. MPT is messy, and a tad repetitive in places, and while finished, I don't believe it's something I'll ever post. But it holds a special place in my heart, and it's a lot of fun looking back on my writing from a couple years ago compared to now 2. Not sure if this fully counts, but an untitled Omori WIP I've got going atm is definitely up there. It's Hero-centric with huge emphasis on his trauma, following the course of the year the events of the game occur in. I've had a blast writing his thoughts and time at college, and I'm geberally just really proud of it thus far. Hopefully, it'll be done by January in time for his birthday! :) 3. Now this one is a posted work– Magical Girls: Omori!, another collab with Red. We came up with the idea, binge-watched season one of Glitter Force on Netflix, and ran with the plot. We've planned out all of season 1 with ideas for season 2, incorporated a plethora of great characters, and been able to mess around with a fun fantasy high school full of our favourites. It's always wonderful to write, and I really like how it's been going!

I'm not gonna lie- apart from just general genshin x reader content here, my most interacted tags and cotent are with SAGAU :D

I've always loved self aware media, from doki doki literature club, fleabag, deadpool, I freakin love it whenever some kind of media addresses the 4th wall or even incorporates it into the plot :''D

With sagau, I stumbled upon it very early on and so I binge read so many sagau fics, I scoured and scrolled through the tags until I reached the bottom fr

I don't necessarily have a favorite genre of sagau, whether it be crack and humor, fluff and romance, or angst and gore- I pretty much consumed it all but I think my tastes have come to change and I've suddenly started to prefer the more humory and less "deep" or gorey parts of sagau :''D

If you're wondering why I kept mentioning gore- there's like this sub-genre of SAGAU called the Impostor AU. Quick summary: it's basically if the reader gets isekai'd and someone (an impostor) takes the title of creator themselves and makes all characters turn violent towards the reader :'D

Right now tho I do recommend reading Language Barrier by @/nobody-for-sure as it takes a more comedic "cracky" concept for SAGAU, it's literally one of my favorites right now (^W^)

There's also this uhhh c!impostor au thing that I've seen around the sagau tags, it's still pretty new but the premise also takes the standard plot of the SAGAU Impostor au and adds more into it and makes it all less intense-ish (no cults, yanderes, or gore lmao)

I forget who the og poster is but everything they've posted about it has been pretty interesting so far :33

and oooo, i see !! i've heard of the impostor au and i know it's a sub-genre of the SAGAU but never actually fully understood it until you explained it. that sounds interesting tho, i think it thickens the plot since the impostor can be considered as an antagonist of some sort + reader also having to deal with the loyalty the characters have for the impostor creator! question, how do the impostors behave usually? do most of them have a personal vendetta against the reader? like if they were someone whom the reader used to know? i'm super interested 👀

So I'm reading this sad Chreon story - as one does (it's me, I'm one) - and I just had the weirdest epiphany? Like, I dunno, it's probably dumb and far from a hot take or some eye opening character analysis no one has done before but I noticed that people (including myself, so like not saying this in any kind of bad way) tend to write Leon as stand offish, apathetic, and cold. Like this story stated it specifically, said something along the lines of "this is what Leon gets for cultivating a reputation for being unapproachable, apathetic, and indifferent" and the insinuation there is that he's done this on purpose, put on this front to seem unaffected by things when in the presence of others, and I think it's pretty true for his character. Like anything post RE2, Leon is kind of. I dunno, I wanna say deadpan? He seems to express v little emotion, and when he does it's usually in the form of a quip, one-liner, or snarky come back. Sometimes awkward small talk lol. But it feels like he's built this wall, this persona around himself, not just to protect himself from losing more people (bc he probably sees it as some kind of inevitability, and with his track record I certainly wouldn't blame him), but to protect people from him. This poor man has spent so long fighting, trying to save people, and even tho he saves the day in the end, so many people get lost in the process, and Leon feels every single loss personally. Right off the bat we see it every time someone dies in RE2, then again in RE4 with Luis, who he knew for a short period of time and yet mourned so heavily for, and even Krauser to an extent. Leon is someone who is quick to trust, even as he gets older, and we see that in RE Vendetta, too. Like that's probably one of the big reasons he's so devastated after losing his team. Not only was he entrusted with a group (which doesn't happen often, as far as we have seen), but he probably put his trust in them as well, including Petrucio, the man who betrayed them. I just think Leon is such a complex character who hides so much of himself (which is convenient for bad writers at Capcom who can't write good dialogue to save their lives lmao, but I also think it's a decent part of his character now), probably so what happened in RE2 doesn't happen again. Bc that shit was probably so traumatizing, and Leon was still a baby! I'm only a year older then he was at the time of RE2 but like, as humans our brains don't finish growing until age 25, so that kind of trauma at that age is for sure gonna stick with you, and it seems he picked up some unhealthy coping mechanisms from it that's more than just his drinking problem. Anyways I guess I just wanted to rant about how Leon is the most "emotionless" character in RE but in reality he feels and cares so much, so much so that if he doesn't put up that mask of indifference then he'll destroy himself. This man would die so that others could live, he's saved the world multiple times without a care for himself past the need to finish his mission and keep as many people as possible safe. He's such a tragic character and I love him so goddamn much, like he's one of those characters who you aspire to be like, in a way. Selfless, capable, dependable, reliable, smart, passionate, caring. And some of this might be my own character building I've done based off of other headcanons and character analysis posts and stories I've seen, but I do think we see a lot of this in the canon content, too. I just really love Leon S Kennedy, okay? He makes me sad but also so so happy and I love him v much, he is a big time comfort character for me. Sorry for the rant, just needed to scream about this with someone who would understand lol 😅

oh anon, I get you, I dooo. I think that you're right in that Leon has kind of this shell around himself because it's the only way he can cope. but there are so many cracks in his shell, and he lets people in so readily even when it would stand to reason that he shouldn't trust anyone anymore. he gets attached to people lightning fast, and he'd die for them even when he's barely met them.

this borders on headcanon territory, definitely, but I tend to often write him as someone who gets attached easily and falls for people easily (be it friendship or romantic or anything), but then he doesn't know how to properly let people in because he's got his defense mechanisms, he's trying to keep himself from breaking, and what if he truly lets someone past those walls and then another disaster strikes and he never recovers from it?

and I think it shows a lot in how he's so awkward with small talk, he can throw in one-liners and dad jokes and try to keep his own (and anyone else's) spirits up with that. but oh man. beyond that? the boy doesn't know how to naturally talk to people. (even like in Infinite Darkness, with Claire, I think his "don't do anything stupid" was 100% meant to be a joke, both times, but it just didn't exactly land perfectly. poor awkward bby)

but like even though he might put up this unaffected front, he's still so very expressive? like... if you really pay attention to him? he's far from actually an expressionless and cold person. he just isn't very loud about it. (i was just going through ID screencaps yesterday and while Shen May is talking and Leon is on the background, he goes through such a journey in expressions alone :'D)

AND HE CARES. like, for example in Infinite Darkness, he sees Patrick is shaken and the first possible moment he has, he immediately asks him if he's okay and takes a moment to reassure him. they're in a hurry, he's supposed to get going and not check up on a guy he's never even met before, but he does it anyway. and I think it speaks a lot of his character. he's quick to offer support and comfort, and he genuinely tries to be there for others the best he can. he desperately needs someone to listen to him in turn, seriously. give him emotional support, damnit.

and I wanna highlight what you said:

like. yes. there was this one meme thing going around which was basically like asking if you feel like you're like your favorite character and I'm just. I fucking wish I was one tenth of what he is :'D

I know not even he is perfect, c'mon, no such thing as perfect people exist (not even in fiction, or if they do then they'd be really damn boring :'D). i'm not trying to claim he has no flaws, or that he never does anything wrong. he has and he does. but the amount of genuine caring he shows and how hard he tries to do the right thing? truly awe inspiring.

i just. I'm right there with you. I love him so damn much. and that's why I spend most of my time writing fic where he gets at least some of that happiness he deserves :'D i need him taken care of, damnit, and if canon doesn't give him good things then i damn sure will.

Remembering painful moments of your past is THE WORST at least when I'm doing it I'm usually lying in bed and not viscerally forced to relive them. Like I'm hyperphantasic but like...they're not flashbacks in the sense that I forget where I am, y'know? (Tho there's been times that those moments have just played on repeat for a while and holy shit does that suck ass; poor Daci has held me while I sobbed it out more than once)

It's the "I know you're--" that made this conversation doomed.

Like, Adora isn't wrong! That's the thing! She does know this about Catra.

But Catra is more than anything else stubborn and prideful, so this was always going to backfire.

Oh, god. The moment of one of their childhood memories starting up again. And Adora says: "You don't have to go in there." And Catra does it anyway. She knows it's going to hurt her and she does it anyway.

I know I've mentioned it in previous rewatches but the Golden Child/Scapegoat thing Shadow Weaver is pulling is SO FUCKING TEXTBOOK.

"I've kept you around this long because Adora was fond of you!" well also because it's convenient for you to have a child to take out all of your anger on, but hey

Again: Catra walked into this memory knowing what it was.

Catra: "You always need to play the hero, don't you?" Adora: "I was just trying to protect you" Catra: "You never tried to protect me! Not in any way that would put you on Shadow Weaver's bad side!"

THE THING IS: Catra is right. BUT ALSO: that's how being the child of an abusive parent works. Adora is stuck in the push-and-pull of also wanting Shadow Weaver to love and care for her (or just not hurt her). Both of them are in terrible places with no good options.

GOD this is so well-done as a portrayal of child abuse but OOF it's hard to watch sometimes because of it

Adora: "That's not true!"

Which is she denying: that she's Shadow Weaver's favorite, or that she enjoys it? Either way it's both true and not true. Being the Golden Child is better than being the Scapegoat, but of course Adora also does genuinely want to protect Catra, to the extent that she can without risking her own neck. But the Golden Child also often resents the Scapegoat--if you were just good she wouldn't be so awful, right? (That's not how it works, is the problem; there is no amount of "good" you can be that satisfies an abuser. They just want to abuse you, and they will make up a reason if they have to.)

Catra: "Oh yeah? When you left, who do you think took the fall for you? Who was protecting me then?"

that moment of child!Catra stopping and turning to look at her young adult self is just SO MUCH. I dunno how often I've struggled with how I handled shit as a kid and had this moment of "that was a bad decision" mixed with "AND IT WASN'T YOUR FAULT you were A CHILD"

It didn't make me mentally vow to get vengeance tho so at least there's that

Catra's claws could slice that stuff but She-Ra's sword can't, lol, once again the sharpness of the sword is dependent on Plot

Hey remember when I swore up and down I wasn't going to liveblog my entire rewatch? Good times.

Part of me is like: I would get through these so much faster if I didn't insist on screenshotting them and commenting and making jokes

But the rest of me knows damn well I probably just wouldn't bother watching them?? This way feels a bit like watching it *with* someone, which I always prefer to watching things alone.

Also tbh if I did just marathon them while knitting or something I wouldn't remember anything!! Which would defeat the point!! So here I am.

If you're new to these posts: I am doing a rewatch of She-Ra with the specific purpose of taking notes for a fic I'm working on--but because this is me we're talking about, I also post a ton of screenshots with the purposes of commentary, squeeing at specific scenes, and making jokes. Because it's a rewatch, I don't comment on every plot point and I often mention things that happen later in the show--in other words, these might be confusing if you haven't seen the show yet.

Yes! Four kids just didn't seem enough lol five seemed to make sense for them. I wanna say Jimin had one daughter and one son and Taehyung has 2 sons and one daughter. so maybe Dooyoung is the oldest, then Jimin's daughter then Tae's two sons and then the baby is his daughter and you bet she's spoiled rotten (they all are but the babies in families are usually the most spoiled in my experience).

10. Most disliked arc? Why?

12. Is there any unpopular are that you like but the fandom doesn't? Why?

Firstly, Dany 's Qarth arc, in ACOK. Unexpectedly, it was quite enjoyable. The worldbuilding was nice. I loved the versions in the undying and the prophecies from Quaithe. It's mainly part of the magical arc in the books which I am as fond of. Also baby dragons.

There were other arcs in the book that bored me (like Jon's) so I loved the nice change of pace and setting.

Secondly, not sure if it counts as unpopular but I rarely see the fandom talk about it so I am just gonna include it: the Queenmaker plot.

Oh dear, how much I love this one. It got little to do with the name and everything to do with Arianne & Doran 's relationship and how much I love it. They're both people who deeply love each other but their relationship is marred by misunderstandings and secrets (it's more of Doran 's fault although it was unintentional). It's so beautifully tragic. I couldn't possibly love it more.

The conversation they had in the tower is one of my favorite scenes in the books. I go and read it from time to time.

17. Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happen...

All my AUs ideas you mean, lol.

A lot of stuff. Like Rhaella living (too many dead mothers in these books) and raising Dany instead; Elia, Rhaenys and Aegon surviving somehow (they deserved better); Rhaella marrying Doran instead (gotta foot in crack ship agenda lol), Robert dying on the Trident, Lyanna lives and raises Jon, Aerys dying earlier, probably a lot less rape and tragedy in the books in general (I knew what I was getting myself into, I am still a big softie), etc.

I can't list all of them, we would be here all day.

Mance Ryder. For pretty much the same reasons. He had been working a long time to unite the wildlings and save them from the Others so the man got my respect.

Margaery Tyrell. She's quite interesting. We don't have any Tyrell pov and she have limited agency in the books. She had been married to three kings now. I wanna know more about her.

Rhaella Targaryen. She only exists in the narrative to serve as a tragedy and another casualty to Aerys 's cruelty and madness. My heart goes out for her.

Shaera Targaryen. Shaera is pretty much a blank state that I love writing lol. But I like her more bcoz of who she's treated by the fandom. She's another Queen and mother we hardly we know anything about. But if you see her in the fics, she usually gets to share the blame for Rhaella 's marriage even though we have in the text that it was Jaehaerys. I am tired of this fandom blaming the woman for the man's fault. It fucking never happens the other way around for obvious reasons. So pissed off me decided to like her.

Daario Naaharis. More of the show version tbh. He makes Dany happy so he gets points for that.

Doran Martell. Dear God, I love him so much. Hands down, he's my most favorite character in asoiaf after Dany. He's such a tragic figure. His mother died before RR, Elia and her children were murdered and got no justice while their murderers got rewarded, his relationship with Mellario soured, even with Arianne it wasn't a smooth sailing, Quentyn had to be fostered with Yronwoods, Oberyn and Quentyn also died; the guy doesn't seem to catch a break. (George pls, give him a break)

Yet so dutiful. He's one of the few rulers in asoiaf who cares about the smallfolk and he does cares so deeply.

He's also one of the few good fathers (not without his mistakes tho) in asoiaf. Good fathers are rare in asoiaf.

What's there to not love about this guy?

Yeah I remember. (I'll get to the writer thing but since you asked I should tell you this) I also used to do painting and I get crazy while doing it, I'm kinda perfectionist about doing things so I don't do things unless I'm the best at it (coz I'm not good with handling criticism and anxiety is a real deal) I used to do sketching and canvas painting and it was like a do or die situation for me coz I don't let myself eat or do anything else unless I get it right and perfectly done and during that time I used be cranky for few days. It's been more than a year and I really wanna do something but yeah I don't have that kind of energy anymore. And yeah I write too although I'm new to the writing thing. I started writing like 2 years ago and those fics were only meant for me. I had a lot of ideas so I wrote a few things and wip and I never had courage to post them coz there are many great people writing better stories and I never planned the ending of any of the fics so I never posted them. I write mainly destiel so a few months back in December I was mad at the show of course and few other things and I was like screw it I'm gonna post the thing. No one's gonna read it anyway. It's this fic I wrote in 2019 and I never planned ending to it and that's the first one I posted and people really liked it I've got like 86 comments so at first I thought they were being nice but now I think they really like it so I've to plan some ending to it I can't abandon it. I've posted around 11 chapters to that one. God! I've to write more. I can shoot you up with link I would love to know your opinion but I think you will recognise me coz I have similar username there.

i respond to every comment! i love talking to my readers.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

em angsty? not tragic? The Method in the Madness (SasoDei) was tragic. my long SasoDei series, A Lifetime of Moments, has many angsty moments (like, Turning Point, linked above, and chapter 3 of Art is a Blast) but the endings of each work are always comforting in some way. i love drama, but i tend to lean towards the sweet end of the bittersweet scale for endings...

7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

not yet! i have a cracked idea for an Avatar/Naruto crossover that involve the Sand Siblings being the ones who discover Aang, the last Airbender... not sure if it'll ever get written tho...

8. Have you ever received hate on a fic?

nope! thankfully all my readers are all really kind. once i had a reader leave a comment to let me know that i hadn't tagged a trigger correctly, which made me feel awful because i felt i'd messed up and hurt them, but i fixed the tags and they replied to me to say thanks, and all was well. (the fic was Art is a Blast, linked above)

9. Do you write smut? If so what kind?

YES. ALL KINDS. mostly mlm, some mlw, aaaand i am working on a smutty Korrasami (wlw) one-shot. i like writing rather graphic smut (always E-rated😈), albeit usually fairly... normal sex acts? although recently my friend took me to a BDSM bar where they do bondage demonstrations, and i'm getting ideas...

10. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

not as far as i know...

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

no but go for it! someday when i get bored i might try translating them into my second language, Chinese.

12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

i collaborated with @tropical-gothic on Remember, Remember... she roleplayed Doctor Rin Nohara and helped write a lot of the medical parts. i owe her so much!! 💖💖💖💖 collaborative writing/roleplaying to write is a very cool process, and i'd love to do more.

13. What is your all time favorite ship?

is SasoDei 😌 i multiship them both, but it always feels like coming home when i see/make SasoDei content.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I DON'T BELIEVE IN NEVER. seriously, if i've posted it, i'll finish it, come hell or high water. but in terms of finishing sometime SOON, i think Home/The Lights Will Guide You Home is the series placed on the most distant back burner. this Sasori-centric sci-fi AU is something that i want to make rather epic, but that's what makes it hard to finish...

15. What are your writing strengths?

i'm a very meticulous editor, so my pieces are always very polished, but my biggest strength is writing actions scenes, i think. i used to be a dancer, and i love playing with words for effect, using them to create a sense of speed or tension, impact, etc. a recent example is my Deidara-centric origin story All Things Must End.

i also love doing dialogue, and i think i do it well.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

remembering to talk about setting is my biggest weakness (my characters, talking to each other for three pages: blonde, where are we???) sometimes to make up for it i go all out when describing scenery, especially sunsets and skies.

sometimes i get a bit pedantic with explanations, but usually my beta readers catch that and it gets cut before posting.

17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?

ooh i like this question! i do this all the way throughout A Lifetime of Moments, because Sasori is half Japanese, and all the Uchiha are full-blooded Japanese.

my rule of thumb is if the POV character understands the language fluently, i just write it out in English with a narrative note that they are speaking Japanese, and use different quote marks. in other cases, like in this scene from Chapter 5 of Remember, Remember... (i've made a fresh tumblr post so you can it read spoiler-free) i write the romanisation of the Japanese sentences, so readers can experience the sentences differently, depending on their own grasp of the language. if you're not fluent, you'll feel like Deidara, the POV character to whom all of this is just random sounds, but if you know Japanese, you can laugh along with the Japanese speakers 😂

i would only do this if i know the language is correct, so i either only write up to my own fluency, or consult friends/beta readers when in doubt.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

Naruto is the first i've posted for, but writing, i guess it'd have to be Marvel MCU? i have a bunch of Stucky stuff i've never posted... LOOONG before that as a kid i'd daydream stories for Disney's Aladdin... my first verbal storytelling was fanfiction, actually. about my doll Peppermint Rose, who i think also had a TV show...

19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve ever written?

you're asking a mother of 43 to choose her favourite child?!?!

Always, always, always. If I could hug the people who comment on my fics, I would. I want all of them to know how much I appreciate that they not only read my fic, but took the time and put themselves out there to tell me about it. That means a lot to me. Also, I know I’m not the most social person, but I really do like talking about fics/writing.

6. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?

I don’t really do a lot of angst. Fluff is very much my thing. But the angstiest ending is probably my Nejiten fic Truth.

7. Do you write crossovers? If so, what is the craziest one you’ve written?

I haven’t written a crossover.

Thankfully, no. And I hope I never will.

I took a crack at it. Two of the later fics in the Worthwhile series, (Revealed and Carried Away) have explicit scenes. I haven’t made a habit of it because it’s super difficult and I’m shy. I wrote a short pwp thing for Gaalee Bingo last year and never actually found the courage to post it.

No, thankfully not.

11. Have you ever had a fic translated?

There is currently a Chinese translation in progress for my ongoing Kagehina fic, No Angels Could Beckon Me Back!! I’m very excited about it.

Yes, sort of. It’s not finished yet, but Beneath the Mask is co-authored by myself and @flightlessdevotee. While I did the vast majority of the writing, and she did the art, Sadface did share a lot of the work of writing by brainstorming, outlining, and editing with me, so I definitely do consider her a co-writer in that case.

13. What is your all time favorite ship?

What a question. Gaalee is always going to take up a lot of space in my heart, lately Kagehina and Asanoya have been rattling around in my brain making a lot of noise, and I can’t even tell you how much I love Nobamaki. I could never possibly pick a favourite.

14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?

I have a RWBY fic in my drafts that I will probably never finish or post. There was also definitely meant to be a second part to Truth, but the inspiration left me.

15. What are your writing strengths?

Hmm, I wanna say dialogue, but maybe that’s just because I enjoy writing it. I’ve been told a few times that I’m good at characterization and I do put a lot of time and effort into trying to get that right. I think I’ve also been getting better at making my writing flow in a way that feels natural.

16. What are your writing weaknesses?

Ugh, descriptions. Where are my characters, what’s going on around them? No one knows, certainly not me. I have to go back and add them in the second draft a lot of the time because in the first draft my characters are just floating in the void. Also, I second guess myself a lot and this makes editing much more difficult and stressful than it probably should be.

This is something I’ve been thinking about a lot, because I’m working on a rough draft of an Asanoya travel fic. What I’m trying to do is describe the dialogue as the POV character perceives it. So in this case, if characters are speaking in a language that Asahi does not understand, I just make it clear that he doesn’t understand or can only pick out a few words. My experiences with travelling in places where I don’t speak the language, or can only barely grasp it, is that my focus tends to be more on facial expressions, body language and tone, more so than the actual sounds of the words, and this is what I’m trying to emulate.

Obviously, there’s more than one right way to do this, depending on the story, the context, and the desired result. It’s tricky as fuck.

18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?

RWBY. I was watching it with a friend and we were talking a lot about how much of the relationship development between the characters happens offscreen because the episodes are so short, so you’re sort of left to fill in the blanks. Then, I realized, oh my god, I can just fill in the blanks, and that’s how I started writing fanfiction instead of just reading it.

19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Noooooooo, you can’t ask me this question. How am I supposed to answer this? Ugh.

I kind of think that No Angels Could Beckon Me Back might be the best fic I’ve ever written. I don’t know if this is just because it’s the most recent one and I’m still kind of living in that headspace because I’m still working on it, and because I feel like I’ve improved a lot as a writer in the two years since I started, or if it’s just because I have had stupid amounts of fun working on it. But is best the same as favourite? I don’t actually know.
