The Leviathan
Now since i mentioned and explained the Lost City of Atlantis, it was a no-brainer that id also mention the creature guarding the underwater entrance to the lost empire.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Leviathan
The Leviathan is a gigantic mechanical lobster-shaped automaton, several times larger than the largest man-made vessels ever invented. It is autonomous and intelligent, able to make surprise attacks on intruders and use the underwater terrain to its advantage. Its exoskeleton is strong enough to absorb torpedo fire and remain unscathed. The Leviathan's primary weapons are its gigantic pincers, which can easily snap ships in half. However, it has smaller mandibles closer to its face that mostly handle the tiny vessels that it destroys. One of these mandibles is large enough to hold the entire Ulysses. The Leviathan is also capable of shooting a powerful energy bolt, generated by wires on its face that work similar to spark plugs. It has two menacing eyes that can zoom inwards like an aperture to examine smaller objects. Despite its size, the Leviathan is quite agile and fast, maneuvering around the underwater pillars to outflank and surprise enemies, and catch up with fast vessels. Using its unmatched bulk and power, the Leviathan claimed hundreds of intruding vessels over the centuries, including the USS Cyclops. And because of that, it’s said that the Leviathan was the source of all the sea monster myths about the Bermuda Triangle. However, its enormous size became a liability when the genies, the transport subs and the Ulysses sub pods descended into the crevice that the Leviathan couldn't fit through.
As a side note, when the Ulysses’ own torpedoes hit the Leviathan, the torpedoes actually caused the beast to feel some sort of pain, where as the torpedoes from the sub pods and the genies’ attacks did nothing to the beast. No one knew why, but the leviathan sensed the worst; an all-mighty powerful genie was on the Ulysses, and the Leviathan began exerting lethal aggression, with its artificial intelligence picking up the genie’s location within the Ulysses. And later, when that genie was in one the transport subs going down the crevice, the Leviathan became desperate to get rid of that genie, but was unable to as its target got away deep deep down in the crevice.
Being a giant, the Leviathan can easily crush most enemies. It can also fire energy blasts from its mouth, which can easily destroy a small ship with a single hit. However, due to its gargantuan size, any ship that does manage to survive and elude its capture can escape into Atlantis' entrance passageway down the crevice, where the creature is way too big to follow.

MY Aunt has an original see chest from the USS Leviathan Ship in scraped Officer Winslow is that worth any money,
Hi, well I could do more with a picture. This is more of a guess. But there was a Sailor named E. W. Winslow who was part of the gun crew of the 6 inch gun no. 8 and was on board the USS Leviathan in 1919, a time when the sea chest was actually already out of fashion, and ordinary Sailors only used a sea bag, officers sometimes still had some, but it was also quite rare. But depending on how the chest looks and in what condition it is, it can be worth something, the only question is how much. At the moment sea chests are not doing so well. Most of them are around 1000-2000 $.

My Proposed Idea for Season 10 of The Genie Team
Last year, I made a post about my proposal idea for the 10th season of @grantgfan’s main series; “The Genie Team”. Where that proposed idea was about dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals appearing around the world.
Well, recently, I changed my proposed idea to where season 10 revolves around the Bermuda Triangle and its mysteries.
Skull Island - This Skull Island is the 2005 Peter Jackson rendition of the island, except the island is at its original massive size (which is said to be a bit smaller than Madagascar). And all the same creatures detailed in the book “The World of Kong: A Natural History of Skull Island” are featured, as well as some OC creatures of my own to help flesh out the island’s unique and hellish ecosystem. And the hellish ecosystems and creatures of the island (from the coasts, lowlands, wetlands, jungles, chasms and highlands) fit in with the Bermuda Triangle’s history and mysteries, especially about the region being forbidden to step foot on.
Atlantis - Atlantis here is the same as in the cult Disney classic from 2001; Atlantis The Lost Empire. And in that movie, Milo Thatch mentioned that Atlantis was on a continent somewhere in the mid Atlantic Ocean. And the Bermuda Triangle is within that region of the Atlantic. And with the entrance to the underground cave/route to the lost civilization/city of Atlantis being guarded by the Leviathan, the giant machine would be revealed to be the culprit for the mysterious disappearances of countless vessels, including the USS Cyclops, in the Bermuda Triangle.
Davy Jones’ Locker - This Locker will be the same one as seen in “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End”, being an endless sea stretching on and on forever. It’s where the souls of those who perished out at sea are sent to, as well as the ships that were lost and sunk, ranging from ocean liners to warships to cargo ships.
Portals - At rare and random times, portals open within the Bermuda Triangle’s boundaries, and dais portals are said to lead to alternate timelines, alternate realities, dimensions and other worlds. What’s even rarer is that anything form those portals could come through and enter this reality and timeline.
Now I’ll be going into deeper detail about these three things in future posts, so start tuned for that. This post is to help introduce my proposed idea for season 10 of The Genie Team.

[Article contains spoilers to 'Loki' S01E05]
Crunch time
After the relatively seismic events of episode four, this week’s episode was always going to have its work cut out. And with just the finale to go, it’s fair to say we’re not much nearer to finding out the truth about the TVA than we were.
Of course, we now know it’s not just the Loki variants that end up in the Void, but all pruned people and material from reset timelines. If that is the case, given the sheer vastness of what that would entail, I do wonder how all those Lokis, Mobius and Sylvie managed to find each other so easily. But let’s not split hairs.
We know Mobius is still around, though didn’t have a lot to do. Here’s hoping he gets his jetski trip next week after a revealing face off with Ravonna Renslayer back at the TVA.
Tumblr media
I feel like the dialogue between Loki and Sylvie wasn’t as effective as when they were talking on the train in episode three. It didn’t drive the plot forward, and they only clumsily addressed the fact that falling in love is classed as a nexus event. And, Loki, if you have the ability to conjure a blanket for the shivering person sitting next to you, that you happen to love, don’t wait to be asked. What do they teach you in Asgardian finishing school?
Withnail & Lok-i (hat tip to MrSpigget for that one)
Richard E Grant was a joy as Classic Loki, teaching Tom Hiddleston a thing or two about hamming it up. “Sounds terrifying,” he snapped, hilariously, when Loki asked if anyone had met a female variant. I enjoyed the recollection of how he escaped Thanos, while hissing “You bastard” was pure Withnail.
Tumblr media
Crucially, his character offers further proof to Loki that he can change, and stay that way. Lokis don’t always have to resort to cheating, murdering and “the game within the game”. “We’re broken. Every version of us. Forever,” he said, escaping the lair, before going on to show, with his dying actions, that that is not the case. How beautiful that he conjured a full-sized Asgard for his final stand.
The end of time
What next for the TVA? As the episode began, we saw the aftermath of Sylvie’s actions, turning the organisation upside down (as emphasised by the rotating camera work). But who or what is now in charge since the Time Keepers’ demise? It no long matters those puppets aren’t functioning if a higher power is actually pulling the strings, but how long can Renslayer keep that a secret?
Tumblr media
The judge did do a good job of convincing Sylvie – and me, to be honest – that she was going to help her visit the void, but even if she is not to be trusted, I still believe she has no idea what’s going on and who her paymasters might be. Whether she leans in to villainy or sees the light is still to be seen, but I wouldn’t bet on her turning her back on the TVA, whatever it might be.
Further minutes
There were many, many Easter eggs here. We had Mjolnir buried in the ground above the Lokis’ bunker. We saw a rusting version of Thanos’s helicopter, first seen in #39 of the 1979 comic Spidey Super Stories and, best of all, Throg, a frog version of Thor, captured in a jar. Was there also a pair of downed Chitauri Leviathans on the ground when Loki and the gang assembled on the hill before facing Alioth? Did you see anything else?
The episode’s title, Journey Into Mystery, was a nod to the comic book series of the same name in which Thor and later Loki made their debut in 1962.
The sword Kid Loki gave Loki before the battle was a callback to his analogy on the train about “love being a dagger”.
I was pleased to see Hunter B-15 still with us, trapped in a glittery cell at the TVA. It can’t be long until she is freed, and wielding that pruning stick in the name of justice.
The battleship that appeared and fired on Alioth was, I think, based on the numbering on its side, the USS Eldridge, the vessel at the centre of the Philadelphia Experiment.
One I missed from last week – Cailey Fleming, the actor who played Sylvie as an eight-year-old on Asgard also played Rey as an infant in The Force Awakens and The Rise of Skywalker.
You may also recognise Kid Loki actor Jack Veal from playing Little James in Channel 4’s The End of the F***ing World.
Why was President Loki played by Tom Hiddleston when almost all of the other variants are played by someone else? Keep your eyes peeled in the MCU for a familiar looking Loki missing a hand. It reminded me of Thor, in Loki’s illusion, having his right hand cut off in Thor: The Dark World.
