Alright adding some tips as an ex hairstylist.
Heat. HEAT. Put some plastic over that dye, and sit in front of a portable heater. Your dye will be SO vibrant and will stay forever. Extra long lifetime if this is over lightened hair.
Y'all ever wonder why hairstylist stick you under the weird huge astronaut looking things and cook your head? Because it makes the dye STICK. (It also makes lightener(bleach) work REALLY FUCKING FAST. So don't do that. Unless you really want hair the consistency of bubblegum)
Also. If you can stand it, rinse that shit out with white vinegar. That will seriously set it. But uh. Vinegar so you know. Do at your own risk.
And for the drying out part. Water. In a spray bottle. Just spritz a bit of it over the dye if you want to leave it in longer. (Don't do this with anything that you used developer with. If it has developer, follow the instructions or lose your hair)
And some maintenence tips. Washing with cold water will always make color last longer.
But life is too short for cold showers. So. Instead.
Use shampoos made for color. Barring that avoid anything with sulfates, it is hell on color.
Also. The more you wash your hair, the faster it will fade. Point blank.
Really neat trick. Either use shampoo and conditioner that has dye (the same color you use or close) in it. Your color will last for Months. Or you can DIY that shit kiddos. Use whatever dye you have leftover after your adventures and mix it into your shampoo and conditioner of choice. (You can DIY your own purple shampoo too, but be careful or you'll have lavender hair)
Also. Most of those popular drug store shampoos? Herbal essence, Pantene, Tresseme? Awful. God awful for colored hair. I don't care what the bottle says. Go to Sally's pick up some generic ass bottle of nonsense that is Quite Obviously trying to pretend it's a luxe brand and just barely skirting copyright and trademark laws. They really are very close.
My personal favorite brand you can grab from Walmart is Hairitage. Their no-sulfate shampoo is Amazing. 10/10 I will use this brand until the day I die.
my blasphemous hair secret is that if you're using semipermanent dye, that's pure pigment, no chemical processes. so you can leave it on your hair as long as you want. So i try to keep it on for at least 3 hours to get as much pigment in there as i possibly can for suuper vibrant color that will last forever (not actually forever but you get it)

Okay Quarry fam, brainrot about lore again with me.
Infected werewolves-to-be hate water, right? It makes them go, “АНН!! АННННН!! GNNGAAAHHH!!!!”
Tumblr media
(🤣 sorry Nick.)
But is that only on the full moon, you think? Or is it all the time if they remain infected?
Are Kaylee, Chris, and Caleb refusing to get in the pool and really hating having to shower for 6 years? Or is it only when turning is imminent?

a little bit mad that the Expensive Korean Skincare Product I purchased on a whim is actually making my skin noticeably clearer. me insisting for years that skincare is a sham and cheap facewash and moisturizer is all you need and now look at me. it comes with a tiny little shovel to scoop out the correct amount. I feel like an annoying YouTuber every time I wash my face. my face which has never felt better because of this stupid Expensive Korean Skincare Product
