recently on youtube, a poplar platform where anyone can upload videos for anyone to see has had some drama. many large streamers like SSSniperWolf and XQZ have been facing large amounts of hate for abusing Youtube’s Fair Use Policy. fair use allows for people to react to copyrighted content with the purpose of adding on to whatever’s being said. criticism, commentating, and reacting are good ways to use this policy. you may be watching the video, but you’re giving more to the video with your own original thoughts and ideas to make it different. the problem with SSSniperWolf and XQZ is that they are basically abusing the policy by adding absolutely nothing to the videos they react to. they point out the obvious, laugh a little, and blandly make comments that add nothing on to the video while essentially stealing other peoples hard work. they do the bare minimum to push out content while avoiding infringement action to continue making money and gaining views. for me, i think it’s disgusting to basically use others work just to make money and i hope people continue to tell creators like XQZ the problem with what they’re doing & i hope they stop soon.

Insurance companies refuse to pay compensation to Nord Stream AG, Russia claims new details of terrorist attack

Insurance companies are refusing to pay compensation to Nord Stream AG, the operator of the blown-up Nord Stream pipeline, because they believe it was damaged by military action, while Russian media are publishing new data on the pipeline explosions, blaming the US, which used Ukrainian special services, and naming the likely perpetrators of the terrorist attack.

The insurance companies Lloyd’s of London and Arch Insurance argue that such risks were not included in the contract. Insurance policies for the Nord Stream pipeline, which was destroyed by explosions in 2022, did not cover the risk of destruction or damage in the event of military action.

The Russian Investigative Committee said that money that flowed through the Ukrainian oil and gas company Burisma Holdings over the past few years was used to finance terrorist acts in Russia and abroad, Russian media reported.

Ukrainian Burisma Holdings is owned by Mykola Zlochevsky, the former Ukrainian minister of ecology and natural resources, and is linked to the family of the US president, as Hunter Biden, Joe Biden’s son, joined its board of directors in 2014.

Earlier, separate investigators pointed to a separate US and NATO trail in planning the operation to destroy Nord Streams, as the US leadership has repeatedly stated its intention to destroy Nord Streams.

Russia updating topics of Nord Stream explosions and combating international terrorism

Russia is trying to update Nord Stream explosions to prevent the issue from freezing, filling media outlets with new statements by officials.

Nord Stream blasts

In early February, Kelley Beaucar Vlahos of Responsible Statecraft wrote that officials had begun to say that they no longer had jurisdiction over the investigation into the so-called 2022 Nord Stream pipeline sabotage.

Swedish public prosecutor Mats Ljungqvist stated that “the investigation has been systematic and thorough.” However, he also noted that “against the background of the situation we now have, we can state that Swedish jurisdiction does not apply.” He further stated that he could not comment on further co-operation “due to the secrecy that prevails in international legal co-operation,” as “the German investigation continues.”

I will also not be able to comment anything further on the conclusions of the Swedish investigation or comment on any suspected persons in the Swedish investigation.

Denmark and Germany were also conducting official investigations into the sabotage. Reports on damage and leaks in the Nord Stream 1 and Nord Stream 2 natural gas pipelines running from Russia to Germany under the Baltic Sea surfaced on September 26, 2022. Investigators have since concluded that it was an act of sabotage.

Since the anniversary of the blasts, the accusations fell on Ukraine, Vlahos noted. However, investigative journalist Seymour Hersh argued that it was a unit of secret US Navy divers that blew up the pipelines. The conducted the operation with the approval of the Biden administration. Further reports in 2023 stated the small boat Andromeda served as a vessel to carry “rogue pro-Ukrainian saboteurs.”

Then a comprehensive investigation by 19 Der Spiegel authors showed that all roads indeed lead to the Ukrainian government. The authors stated that German investigators had little doubt that Ukraine was responsible for the pipeline explosion.

When the pipelines exploded in 2022, most blamed Russia. However, Vlahos pointed out that gas exports to Europe after the sabotage were led by the United States, the UAE, and the Netherlands.
