Google is so fucking useless augh. Im trying to find out what the "stabs" in a stab-lok breaker are made out of, and its nothing but articles about how terrible they are. I KNOW theyre horrible thats why i smashed 32 of them with a hammer but i need to know what metals the bits are so i can melt them down !!
#when i scratch the stabs it shows up silver. but theyre too heavy to be aluminum and dont bend like aluminum either...#and its basically the most important part of the breaker for everyday use so its rly not likely to be a weird non ferrous metal like nickel#and theres no fucking way theyre actual silver when the silver button contacts inside are just a teeny little dot#a mystery#ill make a cube out of them and maybe then ill discover more#im amassing a pretty big collection of the actual silver contacts though cant wait to melt those. i want to make a coin ^-^

The 1883 Racketeer Nickel from The American Historic Society
When they first minted the Liberty Nickel it was minted without the word "cents" under the V. This led to a minor crime wave in which people would gold-plate the coin and buy something worth five cents. They would either get the item, or get the item and $4.95 back in change. This was most famously done by a man named Josh Tatum, leading to the phrase, "I was just joshing you."

I get a lot of notepads and shit from charities and I wish they would just stop putting my full name on them. Like I can't use these as a grocery list bc it has my FULL legal name on it 😬 I have to either rip the top off every piece and shred the top or shred them all together like why...
The worst was the time one sent me a notepad that had: my full legal name AND ADDRESS on each page
